Outbound Dialer Delays when connecting calls

I have a particular dialer campaign that has a 5 seconds delay from when the callee picks up the phone and the IVR greeting starts playing; it goes something like this: ring, ring, hello (silence for +- 5 secs), IVR greeting starts.
The campaign is:
Transfer to IVR Campaign
     Enabled IP AMD
     Transfer to IVR Route Point
          Terminate tone detect
Dialing Mode:
Predictive_Blended
ICM 6 with IP IVR Queue Manager 3.5
We have 7 other campaigns with the same config and those ARE NOT experiencing the delay problem.
any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hi Voiceops,

  • Connection delay when connected to a network

    Hi,
I just want to know if some body can tell me what I am doing
wrong. I have installed Oracle database server 8.1.6 on my pc
(with W2000), and I have running two database on it. The point
is that when I have it connected to my network and I try to get
connected to them, I have a delay of almost 20 seconds that I
think it is the time it spends on finding where the database
are. Of course, when I switch off my network adapter, the
    connection goes really fast.
I have been trying to find what it is wrong with my
configuration. I have change the ../etc/hosts file from w2000 to
make myself visible (ip localhost). I have been looking for the
correct configuration of the listener, and I think it is ok. I
have been too through the services configuration and even think
    that there are ok.
So, I don4t know what it is wrong.
If some body think that could help me but it need more
details, just send me and email and thanks in advance.
Thanks and sorry for my english,
    Angel Pereyra.

You could create a VPN user account for your Mac and restrict yourself to only work-related web sites while connected to the VPN. That is what I've done in the past.
You might also try Parental controls on yourself. You could probably do it with Little Snitch as well.

  • Unexpected delay when dynamically called VI closes

    LV10.0 / WXP
A VI is called dynamically by Run VI Method (Wait Until Done = FALSE, Auto Dispose Ref = TRUE).
Queues are used to exchange data with the main VI.
When this VI closes ("stop" message from the main VI), LabVIEW hangs for about 25 seconds (!) with one of the CPUs of the dual core machine at 100%.
Has anyone else encountered this strange behaviour ? Any ideas ?
    Many thanks in advance

Can you give us a small picture of the way you are calling and releasing the subVIs?
As mentionned in my first message : Run VI Method (Wait Until Done = FALSE, Auto Dispose Ref = TRUE) is used to call the VIs.
Release : after reception of a "close" message (queue), the dynamic VIs terminate their execution
If called with Auto Dispose Ref = FALSE, the freeze appears when Close Reference is executed in the calling VI (after reception of a "I'm closing" message from the dynamic called VI).
If loading the VI takes only a short time but unloading takes long, it seems to me that those subVIs allocate many new handles/memory spaces during runtime. Is that the case?
As mentionned in a previous message : The memory usage changes from about 687 to 676 MB when the four
instances are closed. The number of handles decreases from about 272k to
    61k.
This sounds like the whole application freezes for the time being. Is it a single loop architecture?
No. It is a rather big application with several VIs running independently and exchanging data through queues.
In addition: You call those subVIs dynamical with reentrant execution (at least some of them). So they should run in parallel.
    Yes, they run in parallel.
Did you configure different preferred execution systems for your different subVIs?
Yes, I have tried several combinations and also changed the Priority. I also tried to replace the While Loop of the VI which communicates with the PLC by a Timed Loop in order to specify the processor. Unfortunately all my trials ended without any succes.
Did you check for reference leaks using the Execution Trace Toolkit?
    Yes. There are none.
    Norbert
Thank you very much for your help

  • My computer crashes when connecting calls 7.1

I've been having this issue for a few months now: Skype crashes my computer (straight to black screen, then blue screen with error message and automatically restarts after a few seconds without giving me time to fully read the message) as soon as I click 'Answer'. • Audio delay when call is answered, CUCM 8.0

I have a client who is reporting an audio delay when a call is made to an external number. Call setup is fine and ringing begins immediately after the last digit is dialed.  When the called party answers there's a 1 or 2 second delay before either party can hear each other.
Outbound calls are routed to a SIP trunk.  I am suspecting that an MTP is required but checking that off causes all calls to fail.
I then discovered that the only MTP defined in CUCM is the default and this is in a different device pool than the SIP trunk with the delay issue.
Before I got through a possilbe hardware purchase (router, dsps, etc.) for the site with the problem I was hoping someone could confirm that this may in fact be the issue.
    Thoughts?

Under older versions of CUCM, you can set that same parameter as a global Service Parameter for the CallManager process. You can try that. Newer versions pushed the setting down to the individual trunk level. Be aware the global setting will affect all calls on all SIP trunks, so test carefully after the change.

  • How can I make the E7 to produce dial-tones when c...

Of course, I can hear the DTMF dial tones when I dial the number from the touch screen.
But, I need the E7 to send dial tones when I call a contact (hence I don't dial from the touch screen). I need that because I'm using a calling card which needs the dial tones to be sent.
    It works like this:
In the contact details I enter a long number, with pauses, like:
    18001231234p09876543p011392109876
where the 1st numer calls the calling-card number, the 2nd is the pin, the 3rd is the international number I'm calling.
Of corse, when I call that long number (which is a contact) the carrier needs to "hear" the dial tones.
Hence, the question in the subject line.
P.S. If there is a better way to use calling cards, pls let me know.

I think I was wrong. After trial and re-trials I see the E7 actually sends out the dial tones.
Well, I don't know why it did not work at first. Now it's ok.

  • DTMF Isn't Working When a Call is Placed Outbound from UCCX

I have a script that places an outbound call and when the caller answers the call, I do a get digit string to capture caller input and the DTMF isn't working. The caller is hearing "Are you there?".
    Here is the call flow:
    Http Trigger into a script
Script places an outbound call using the Place Call command
    The call gets answered.
Using the Get Digit String command, the caller hears the prompt that is played with get digit string.
The caller presses keys, but no keys are accepted.
Caller hears "Are you still there" and timesout.
I believe this was working at one time, but the script wasn't used and now we are revisiting this script.
I am using a H.323 gateway. IP phones using the same gateway to reach the PSTN do not have problems with DTMF. Inbound calls to the UCCX script are working when calling into a script with a Menu step.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

You are exactly right. I was hitting DP 0 since during the cut I adding a ^ in front of my voip dial-peer pointing to the CUCM cluster. Once I waited to the call volume went down, after 9pm, I was able to do a debug voip dialpeer and I was able to see that the inbound dial-peer was matching.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Delay in connecting incoming phone calls

I have the same issue - Please can someone from Xfinity reply on this issue.

A bit of info on this ... we've been having the same problem for a while (several weeks) -- when we answered the phone, there'd be a longish (~10 sec.) delay before the caller can hear us.  So, if we just picked up the phone and said "hello," the caller didn't hear it and then we'd both sit there, waiting for the other one to respond. Good news for us:  Finally called Comcast Tech Support.  They just did their standard modem re-set, and that fixed it!  I felt a little stupid, because I know the first thing to do with anything that's electronic and gets wonky is to re-boot.  (OK, really, maybe they did something else at the same time that the tech didn't mention.  But she only told me about the modem re-set.) btw There are other threads on this issue, athttp://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Voice-Service-and-Equipment/Delay-in-phone-dialing/m-p/2518859/highlight/false#M26047http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Voice-Service-and-Equipment/Delay-after-answering-a-ring/td-p/1815803 We live in the SF Bay Area.

  • I have a IPhone 5 and Iphone 5s. Both are set up with the same account ID and running IOS 8.0.2. When the phones are connected to the same Wifi at home, both phones will ring when someone call in to one of the phone.  Anyway to solve this problem?

I have a IPhone 5 and Iphone 5s, each phone is activited with a different service provider. Both are set up with the same account ID and running IOS 8.0.2. When the phones are connected to the same Wifi at home, both phones will ring when someone call in to one of the phone.  Hence you do not know exactly which line the caller called.  If you answered using the wrong phone, then anyone calling the other number will not get through.  Anyway to solve this problem?

    Hey David Koh TP,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like your devices are set up to use continuity together. Specifically, it sounds like you are signed into the same Apple ID in FaceTime, and have iPhone Cellular Calls enabled. To resolve your issue, simply disable this setting:
Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6337
    Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

Your iPhone can take multiple calls. If you answer your phone from one person or call someone and another call comes into you, you will hear a beep and if you pull your phone away from your ear, you will see that you can hang up the call with the 1st person or answer the 2nd call and then swap between the two.
I have no idea what you mean by you calling someone who is already talking to someone. I've never been able to see on my iPhone that someone I'm calling is already talking to someone else.

When I want to make a phonecall with my iphone5, I hear absolutely nothing....no ringing and no talking when connection established. When I make the same call but now on speaker, no problem or what so ever, can anyone help me ?

    Hello there, RobenCaatje.
The following Knowledge Base article is specific for the issue you're describing:
iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1630
    Specifically:
    Resolution
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro D.

  • ICM 7.5-how to get individual outbound dialer calls talktime and respective ECC values

    Hello,
I'm looking for following two items
    1. Outbound dialer calls talktime in each call.
    2. Each calls respective ECC values.
I have tried to get talktime from TCD table it’s shows zero value.
Please advice how to get above values, it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Param

    Hey Param,
You can use the PeripheralCallType in the TCD table to find dialer calls. Look for calls with:
PeripheralCallType IN ('27','28','29','30','31') for reservation calls and
PeripheralCallType IN ('32','33','34','35') for the customer calls
For duration of reservation calls look at the HoldTime value
For duration of the customer call you can look at the HoldTime + TalkTime + WorkTime for a total handle time for the customer leg of the dialer call
If you want to look at the ECC variables that were associated with that call you will have to lookup the Termination_Call_Variable table matching:
    Termination_Call_Variable.TCDRecoveryKey = Termination_Call_Detail.RecoveryKey
    Cheers,
    Nathan

  • How to get dial pad when on a call?

How do you bring up the dial pad when on a call? This is for responding to automated instructions ("Press 1 for ...",   "Enter you account number..." etc.).
    Thanks!

In the lower left corner, next to the call button, there's an icon that's supposed to look like a keypad. Press that during your call.

  • Sometimes when connecting to sync, my phone dials last number

when connecting to sync, my phone will dial the last number used. not butt dialing. keypad is locked and in a case.

If you check this support document, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 it might help as to why the phone keeps disconnecting. Has it been showing in iTunes?
