Outbound mail using ERMS

Hi,
I need some inputs on configuring a outbound mail based on rule modeler & category schema using same ERMS functionality but without any incoming mails.
Can anyone suggest any relevant tables for triggering outbound mails for a business object in dialog mode as I checked the tables - CRMD_ERMS_HEADER and CRMD_ERMS_STEP for inbound mails but was not successful in enhancing it.
Thanks & Regards,
Shiva

Hi Shiva,
If you need to send outbound emails based on incoming Email like auto acknowledgement you need to define the autoacknowledge action for the same in the service manager profile.
In case you need to prepare only outbound email response draft , please auto prepare action for same.

  • Incomming mails to ERMS not working

    Hi!
I'm trying to setup ERMS to handle inbound mails and route them to the correct handler.
I've used the following BP guides
    CRM Interaction Center (C78)
CRM Interaction Center Inquiry and Complaint Management (C35)
    CRM Complaints (C28)
    and also note 455140
The SICF service has been enabled and the setup in SCOT is done so the outbound mails are working.
But, I cannot get the mails into the system.
Is there a special job I have to configure, or something else, to get mail inbound mails into the system?
    Regards
    rollo

    Hi,
see whether the document FAQInbox in note 882653 helps you: maybe try to check whether inbound email without ERMS is working, then you can implement ERMS.
Some additional settings that you may check:
    - see in SWI1 if you can see the workflow associated to inbound emails: if you can see mails here but not in the Inbox in the Interaction Center, then check agent assignments
    - if you use as inbound CRM email address a company address, you must make sure that your company server (i.e. Exchange) forwards emails to your CRM server on the SMTP port
    Hope the note helps,
    regards,
    Laura

  • Suddenly can't connect to gmail SMTP for outbound mail

I have both a MacBook Air and an IMac. Recently, I lost the ability on both machines to send outbound mail. With Apple Care help on my supported machine (the MacBook Air,) we rebuilt my gmail mail account on that machine and was able to reconnect and send outbound mail. (receiving mail was never a problem)
However, going through all of the same steps on the IMac, it keeps saying :"Gmail (offline) next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) on the account information screen. When I run Connection Doctor, I have a red light next to Gmail SMTP with the message "Trying to log into this SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct."
Well, the username and password are correct. I just changed them, and can access Gmail from all of my other devices...MacBook Air, iPhone, IPad.
What is really odd it that is was working until about 3 weeks ago.
Any suggestions/ideas? I'm not particularly technical...just find this very frustrating and don't know where to turn.

No bad form to worry about, just the reduced attention to your problem that a solved designation causes.
If I remove my gmail account, I'll be able to get all the emails back when I create my new one - because it's imap?
    Yes, but check 2 things,
    1. That it is setup as Imap (POP is possible but is not the default) and 2 that you have not created any local folders that house mail from the Imap account, if you did then you must export them before removing the account.
What do you mean by verify both passwords? You mean imap and smtp?
I assume I should be using the application specific password in my mail settings?
    Thanks,
    Bob
Imap and SMTP should be the same, but check.

  • Fonts set in outbound mail appear differently in recipient's mailbox

I run all of my Mac Mail v4.2 (1078) in Verdana 11pt. I have a variety of elaborate signatures, also set to Verdana 11pt. When I author outbound mail, in Verdana 11pt, attach one of many signatures, and then view those emails on receiving computers, some appear as authored, but most show up with the signature in Verdana 11pt, but the body in a generic serif font (perhaps Times or similar). I cannot figure out how to keep the entire email in Verdana 11pt, on all receiving computers. Happy to attach PDF for a visual, but not sure that's possible in Apple forums?
    Many thanks.

Mail > Preferences does not have a setting that determines the font seen at the other end. You must set that individually for each outgoing in the New Message pane. Also you may need to set it to something else than what is set in Mail > Preferences.
Some users find this behavior too cumbersome and prefer to use another email client which does have this feature, such as Entourage or Thunderbird.
It has been discussed here often and at length, e.g.

  • Add Text to outbound mail in action processing / form as PDF

    Hi Experts!
We want to add some (static) text into outbound mails, that are sent during action processing of our smartforms. Here´s what where were standing so far:
    - We are using actions within transaction processing to send a service report to customers
    - We have created a smartform and defined action profiles for our transaction type
    - We have configured the output format for SAPScript and Smartforms to PDF in SMTP node of SCOT
    - We can successfully send e-mails from our activity containing the smartform as a .pdf attachment
However, the body of the mail message is empty, which is not what we need. We would like to add some (static) text, like "Dear Customer! This is your service report, etc..." to the body of the message.
Has anybody ever done anything similiar within or at least close to the standard? We want to avoid having to code everything by ourselves, i.e. using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 or similar FM´s.
Points will be rewarded for useful answers!!
    Thanks a lot & Regards
    Christoph

    Hi all!
We fixed the issue ourselves- just in case somebody wondered how we did it:
We have implemented the suggestions given in OSS 935670 in our processing class/method for SmartForm Mail and SmartForm Fax.

  • Query on default outbound mail poliy

    Hi,
Is it possible on Ironport to drop all the outgoing mails to other than local domain by default.  After this we Can create new policies above the default policy with some users who are allow to send e-mails to a particular domain?
For e.g:- I have a set of users who can send emails only to gmail other than the local domains and another set to send only to rediff.
    Any help is highly appresiable.
Is this going to work on Ironport?

    Hi Tharun,
just curious, are you sure outbound messages to your own domain get routed through the IronPort appliance? I would assume your mailsever just moves those between it's mailboxes. Anyways, to answer your question,  basically you create another outbound mail policy with your local domain as sender. Then create a filter that only has a drop() action, and activate it in your Default Outbound Mail Policy (and only there!).  So this way outbound recipients to your domain will use the new created mail policy that bypasses the filter, while every other domain will use the default policy, where the message gets dropped.
    Hope that helps,
    Andreas

  • Changing the outbound Mail server?

Are we able to change the outbound mail server in iphone 3GS? Currently I have Mobileme IMAP on my mac but all the mail is filtered via gmail. On my mac I have the ability to change the outgoing mail so that it looks like I am sending from gmail. On paper it looks like I use gmail, but really iam using Mobileme as a one stop shop. can I do this for my iPhone too?

you need to check the smtp server in setting mailfor your particular mail accont.
of course you need to have permission to use another server from the provider, some are free I believe.

  • ASSP Anti Spam - unable to relay outbound mail

    Hi,
I have just set up ASSP and having issues with outbound mail.
I have set up the SMTP connector to use 'internal' and address space as * and using smart host (IP of ASSP server).
On ASSP i have added the exchange server IP under AcceptAllMAIL. That is the only configuration i have added on ASSP for outgoing.
    Inbound works perfectly.
    Can anyone assist?

  • Block email ids for outbound mails

    Hi
We need to block certain set of email ids to whom our outbound mails should not go. Our agent's would be sending mails from IC-Web.
I was looking around in SCOT but couldn't locate any configuration setting for that.
Any idea how can we achive it.

    Hi,
    another approach  may be useful,
In  CRM , Business Partner Master -address data -communication --> email
-->maintain internet mail addresses , there is tickmark for "do not use communication " against every email address.
If you "Tick " it , email will  NOT be sent to that Email ID, for this BP
    Hope it helps,

  • Counting inbound emails (including those automatically deleted using ERMS)

    Hi all,
I have a requirement to be able to count all inbound emails in SAP CRM (5.0).  This includes all emails that have been automatically deleted using ERMS after the creation of an Interaction Record and Service Ticket.  Can anyone think of an easy way of doing this in SAP CRM?  The Email Workbench and Agent Inbox do not display deleted email Workitems.  The best option that I have been able to come up with is to export the Workitem Selection Report from transaction SWI1 into a spreadsheet and filter column Workitem ID for unique entries.  Does anyone know of a better way of achieving this?
    Thanks,
    Onkar.

By using POP3, mail is automatically deleted from the server once downloaded by the client without further user intervention (granted, not immediately due to BTYahoos recent non-standard implementation of the POP3 protocol). By contrast, the whole point of IMAP is that mail is left on the server to be available to multiple devices and requires user intervention to delete. Why would a system which is designed to be used for leaving mail on a server be recommmended to someone who wished it to be deleted? If you wish to be pedantic, I agree the OP didn't ask for mail to be automatically deleted, but then nor did he specify immediate deletion either. I interpreted the request as the former, you the latter. Perhaps if we understood the underlying reason why he wished the mail to be deleted in the first place it would help in providing a solution.
There seems to be a recurring theme on this forum to promote IMAP as a universal panacea to overcome all mail problems which is diverting attention away from fixing BTYahoo's broken POP3 servers which have to my knowledge at least 4 problems. Two are deliberate by BTYahoo, lack of secure login and moving read items to the Trash folder temporarily before deletion. Two are faults which they seem either unable or reluctant to fix, intermittant authentication problems and inabilty to download even modest sized attachments on a slow connection.
Correction, he did ask them to be deleted automatically.

  • Can't send FIOS/Yahoo e-mail using Thunderbird

I've seen other posts about this but cannot find anything that helped.
I'm trying to set up Thunderbird to send e-mail using my new FIOS/Yahoo e-mail address which is [email protected]  The ISP on the computer from which I am trying to send is Verizon FIOS.  I can receive e-mails in Thunderbird but cannot send.
I have tried both using SMTS outgoing.verizon.net and outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net.  For incoming I had to use incoming.yahoo.verizon.net and it works.
I've tried using Port 25 and Port 587.
I've input my username both with and without the @verizon.net
For "Secure Connection" I've tried all choices:  No, TLS, if available, TLS and SSL.
Whenever I try to send an e-mail it usually asks for my password twice and after inputting it the second time I get a version of this message:
The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server outgoing.verizon.net failed.  The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.  Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator.
    Any advice?  Thanks.
    Solved!

    1. Change your server to outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net - This is the correct outbound server for Verizon Yahoo accounts.
    2. Make sure the setting for "outgoing server requires authentication" is selected. - It should auth with your vz username and password
If you are still having trouble, post the error. (The error you've posted here is for the wrong server.)
Well, I had already done those things before.  The message I got when I tried is:
An error occurred while sending mail.  The mail server responded: From address not verified - see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/sendfrom-07.html.  Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again.
I had input the email address without the @verizon.net extension.  That's exactly how I input it in the pop3 set-up for receiving e-mail and it works there.
So I went to the link that is referenced in the error message.  It basically had me go to my Yahoo mail account page.  I was directed to add an account with a different email address.  A verification code was then sent to me via email that I then had to input into the new account's setup page in order to activate my Yahoo mail for smtp use.  Once I input the code and validated I was then able to send e-mails just fine with Thunderbird.  I was able to use my @verizon.net email address and not the new account I had created.
Bottom line - I had to activate/validate my account before I could send email.  I had not read about this anywhere when trying to figure out what was wrong.

  • Won't send mail using Yahoo Business Account

Since the 3.1.2 update, I can no longer send outbound mail with my Yahoo business account. This was a problem a while ago, but was fixed with an update. The latest update breaks it again.

Are you using BT-Yahoo or just Yahoo?
If you have been using BT-Yahoo, note that they have, in 2014, changed some users to BT mail through My BT and no longer use Yahoo - see BT Help online

  • Outbound mail hangs and does not send

I have had the following issue for nearly 3 weeks on both my 10.4.11 computer and my 10.5.1 (now 10.5.2) computer. Outbound mail to my ISP (AT&T/SBC Global in San Diego) authenticates and is accepted, but does not complete the send.
Using Command-0 to open the Activity window shows some percentage of the message as successfully sent (short messages are 100%, longer messages are less than that), but it just sits there in that state for 2-3 minutes and then times out with a server is not responding, choose another server dialog.
I have the correct ISP settings for port 465 using SSL with password. I have tried both Mail and Entourage and both fail in the same way.
From my work network, I can send through this server without problem with this configuration on my 10.4.11 laptop.
I have a .Mac account and sending through smtp.mac.com works just fine on port 25 with SSL.
I have a GMail account and sending through smtp.gmail.com works just fine on port 465 with SSL.
Using Parallels and Windows XP on the 10.4.11 laptop that fails to send, I can successfully send mail using Outlook Express without problem.
Also from home, I can send a trivially short message through my ISP.
I have deleted and re-entered the server settings.
It seems to be loosely tied to one of the Security patches, but I can't swear to the timing.
I saw that 10.5.2 addressed an issue of connecting to certain SMTP servers and thought Hallelujah!, but there is still no joy here.
So, anyone else having this issue? Since XP and very short messages can succeed, it must not be a firewall issue or an AT&T/SBC issue. Since it behaves the same way in both Entourage and Mail, it must not be a Mail problem.
I think it's an OS issue that fails in certain circumstances with my DSL connection, although how that happens is a mystery. I think some sort of acknowledgement packet is being dropped that causes the computer to wait for something that isn't going to arrive, and it fails to complete the transaction.

Here is a tcpdump of what has become a typical session (below). This is on my 10.4.11 G5. Within the first second or two, the G5 and the SMTP server make a number of successful exchanges with the G5 pushing packets (marked with P) and the SMTP acknowledging them. Then, at 9:15:00, the G5 is failing to get an ack on sequence number 1269. At this point, the Activity Viewer for Mail is showing that the mail is 100% sent, but nothing more is happening. Five minutes later, I get the Server not Responding, Pick another Server message, and it all stops. My mail has not been sent, and is sitting in the OutBox ready for another try.
Excuse the legibility of this dump file. It may be necessary to copy and paste it into TextEdit to see it in a wide format without the line wraps.

  • Workflow mailer use what?

    Hi All!
Does the workflow mailer use POP3? we
are only sending FYI notifications but it is checking the
    associated mailbox for responses.
    thanks
    sa pa

Workflow supports sending emails and processing email responses.
There are currently 2 Workflow mailers - a C Mailer that uses sendmail to send and receive emails, and a C++ MAPI Mailer for Windows only customers to send and receive mails. We are working on a Java Notification that will support Outbound SMTP and inbound IMAP, but it will be flexible enough for customers/partners/consultant to build in support for other mail protocols.
