Outgoing calls doesn't display DID number?
hi all,
Q1.) With refer to belows, I hope the "Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, '33800' " should appear '8883800' ?
Q2.) I hope my mobilephone will display 8883800 instead of just the extension number 33800 as you seen belows.
Any idea how to do that? please advise. thank you very much.

In addition to what Greg suggested, you also need to check the option "Use ext. ph number mask " option under route patterns or under each individual route list - > set the Ext ph number mask to On.
You can find detailed steps here.

With CME, you can use dialplan patterns. HEre is a good link

1. Go to https://ccm ip address/ccmadmin
2. Go to Device -> Phone
3. Find the phone that you want to change
4. Click the phone and then click the DN
5. Enter a value for External Phone Number Mask
Also, are you saying that "Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask" was already checked on your route patterns?

Hi I`ve just got a Nokia 5300 on an Orange contract and when I receive incoming calls it only displays "call" and not the phone number!!
Any ideas anyone, have been through the menus and can`t seem to find anything to change!!
CheersCheck the fonebook memory to see if you have activated both fone memory and sim card memory.
Copy all contacts to fone and choose the fone memory option.

Cannot connect outgoing call to one specific cell number on the Verizon network.
Cannot connect to a specific number with an outgoing call. The call goes to voicemail after first ring. Can call the same number on a different phone with no problems. Is there a setting I accidentally activated. I have been able to call the number in the past.
@Newmie,
I appreciate reaching out to us regarding the calls going through. I can understand how this can be an inconvenience to you. Please complete a soft reset by holding down the power button and home button simulataneously. If you still run in to issues with the call again please ensure that the contact information is correctly entered. We want to ensure that you are able to reach this particular contact number.

On Yosemite outgoing calls doesn't works
Hi there,
I have and MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) OS X Yosemite (10.10) and iPhone 4S iOS 8.0.2
Actually I can receive a call on my Mac and it work very good but when I try to make a call from my Mac it doesn't work. I see the advice: "...you have to use the same iCloud account..."
What could be?
Thanks! In addition to what Greg suggested, you also need to check the option "Use ext. ph number mask " option under route patterns or under each individual route list - > set the Ext ph number mask to On.

Hello
My problem is that whenever I dial a number I get the engaged tone and am told “the number is busy and to use ring back press 5”. I can still receive incoming calls. Have checked the line and there are no reported faults, BT line checker says the line is fine. Have plugged the phone direct into the master socket but still unable to make outgoing calls. Have checked to see if there's any call barring in place but upon entering the * # 34 # am told “this feature is not available”. Have tried cancelling all the other call features detailed in the “calling features user guide” but am still unable to make outgoing calls. No matter which number I dial I get an engaged tone and am offered the ring back service. Please help! Many thanks in advance.Hi
As you have tried different phones in the test socket it does sound like the fault is not with your equipment. I suspect that it is an exchange fault and not a line fault.
You will now need to report the fault to your comms provider, If it is BT call from your home number on 151. I suspect that when you report the fault the line will be tested and it will test ok as the test they run is only a physical line test and as I said I suspect it is an exchange fault. Just be persistent as they will insist there is nothing wrong.

How do you block certain outgoing calls?
How do you block outgoing calls? I know how to block incoming calls, but how do i make it to where i cannot make outgoing calls to that same certain number?
The easiest thing is to just not call the number. You can set up blocks with Usage Controls; it costs $4.99 per month:

Hi Everyone, I am using iPhone5, my question in how to display name and contact number both stored for incoming and outgoing calls? If I have saved five different numbers with a same name, how do I recognise that from which number caller is calling?
I have friends all over Europe, does it matter what number they use to call me? Nope! All incoming calls are free for me.
The only time you ever have to worry about which number is if you get charged for incoming domestic/international calls.
You can tag their number (work/home/iphone) and that may show on the CallerID accordingly.
It should show, John Doe
underneath, work/home/mobile

CUCM: Third Party SIP Phone "Caller ID" is not displaying for outgoing calls
Hi Team,
we are running CUCM 9.1(2a),
we have integrated Third Party SIP Phone(Avaya 1230 SIP Phone) with CUCM,
Issue: Third Party SIP Phone "Caller ID" is not displaying for outgoing calls, we are able to see only the dailed Number,
When "A" calls to "B", "A" can see only the dailed number of "B" but not the "Caller ID"
Regards
AnanthakumarAre A and B both Avaya phones?
So it looks like you're not seeing the alerting name/connected name getting updated then? Do you have alerting names configured on the directory numbers? Might need to take a look at the SIP messaging to see if the alerting name/connected name is being sent to the Avaya phones and maybe they just aren't displaying it. Might just be something that needs to be tweaked in the 46xxsettings.txt file. -
Contact Doesn't Display During Messages Or Calls
Hi there, recently my friend got a new phone. I added him as a new contact to my phone and the contact remains there ok but the only problem is that when he sends me a txt or rings me, his contact name doesn't display, just his phone number. Why is the phone doing this? and is there any way i can resolve the problem?
thanks! This problem really really annoys me. It's been there for years in S60 phones. I've just got an N95 8G to replace my E65 and before that I had a 6680. They all do the same stupid thing.
There are loads of reason why you might have someone's number in the contacts more than once.
Perhaps all Nokia developers only know single people, but when you know couples they tend to have separate mobile numbers but the same landline. So the landline is down under both of them. So when they call you from there you don't know who's on the phone. Duh!
Now I understand it can't sensibly show you all the matching names but to show none is dumber that dumb. Show any of the names would be fine. Show the first one entered. Better still when you enter a duplicate show a warning and ask which one to match incoming calls to.
Other reasons to want to have the same number is more than once.
The brain dead voice tag system. I mean, what's the point of being able to add loads of phone numbers for someone but only one of them getting a voice tag. Duh! So if you occasionally have to use a phone in the car you have to enter people in more than once.

Numbers I text a lot I tend to end up giving a short dial like name too as well so they are at the top of the contacts list when you're sending a sms.
I do wish they'd rewrite this damn contacts system else next time I'm likely to look at a different type of phone.
