Outgoing e-mail from BB8330 will not send.

Looking at the messages on the board looks like mine is pretty simple issue but i could'nt figure it out. Need help really bad. I have been working on this issue for a couple of days and my BoSS is getting really inpatient.
This is my first time setting up Blackberry with exchange server. I think i've done everything correctly except this one issue. I can not send e-mail from the unit even though i can text messages send and recieve.  Receiving e-mail is working just fine. And also working with the e-mail (Outlook) on the website and tablet laptop is not a problem.
Please HELP..it's been very frustrating trying to get it resolve. Thank you for any help or tip you can share.
Julius

I am holidaying in Auckland using my daughter's Orcon internet account for sending mail but it will not send. I am sure I am putting in the correct information but it still says mail.orcon.net.nz(Offline). I have spent half an hour with Orcon putting in correct info. They do not know how to help me further and neither does telstra clear, my own internet provider.
    Any advice appreciated.

On the Mail menubar > Mailbox, make sure Take all accounts online is selected.

  • HELP! Mail receives but will not send

Mail will receive but it will not send.
When I try to send I get the following pull down window.
"The sender address (sender name)@cox.net was rejected by the server smtp.west.cox.net"
Anyone have an idea why this is happening?
    Thanks

I have had this problem intermittently with my ISP (SBC).
Evidently at some point they upgraded security at their server so that the server rejects email addresses that it thinks are inauthentic to prevent Spammers from using these addresses -- all of my .mac email addresses were being rejected because SBC servers thought a SPAMMER was "impersonating" my computer to get through their server. I am sorry I can't explain this better.
It took quite a few phone calls to clear it up and I also had to move up the technical support food chain. Request a MAC technician and then keep requesting that person's supervisor.
All of my .mac email addresses had to be validated on their servers.

  • Mail email account will not send

I have 3 rr mail accounts, all created at the same time and one will not send emails. It will receive them.
I have deketed the account 3 times and started new ewach time.
Sending emails says the outgoing mailserver is incorrect, selectanother and there are none that will work. All my other rr accounts will receive and send emails and they were all created the same way.
    WHat am I missing?

Perhaps the port is incorrect. Mail menu: Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Account Information. Click on the Outgoing Mail Server drop down and select Edit SMTP Server List. Then select Advanced. Try using Custom Port 25.

  • TS1307 cannot recognize mail password and will not send mail..iphone and web work mail no problem

mail will not send and continuously asks for password and rejects last documented password change. I cannot send mail only receive it on the MacBookPro BUT...I can get web mail and use send on iphone...mail cannot be recieved on iphone now.
    help thankss

Use the Apple Mail Connection Doctor (Apple Mail's Window menu > Connection Doctor) as a first step.
Also recognize that Apple Mail tends to (also) toss out the same password error dialog for errors other than password errors.  This means that network errors and network configuration can be reported as password errors.  (And folks that receive the password errors can then reasonably try different passwords, which means that the wrong password can (also) then get recorded in Keychain.)

  • Mail (5.1) will not send mail

I am having an issue with mail.   Everything seems to be working, but no outgoing mail is leaving.  I have removed and added the account again, have checked the service provider (yahoo), successfully sent via another account on my Macbook pro.  I can't think of anything else to do - any suggestions?  Went I send, I get the spinning thing right next to the sent mailbox.
    TIA!

I don't have my Yahoo account set up in Mail, but one thing you can try is to send mail from your Yahoo account thur the outgoing mail server for the account that does work.  Mail sent this way will apper to come from your Yahoo account, and replies will arrive in your Yahoo inbox.
In the Mail Preferences, click on the Accounts tab at the top, then click on your Yahoo account on the left.   Near the bottom of the page in the middle is a check box for "Use only this server".  Uncheck it.
    Close and save your changes.
Now when your compose mail from your Yahoo address, you should get a pop up menu to the right of your FROM pop up, which will allow you to choose a different outgoing mail server, obviously, choose the outgoing mail server that does work
Now, with all that said, depending on exactly what mail server you have that does work, and to some extent your ISP, there may be restricitions that will prevent this from working as it should. But give it a try!

  • Mail receives but  will NOT send out

I've never had a problem but now the mail app for apple no longer sends. I get it fine, forwarded and synched to mobile me and gmail accounts fine. When I try to send out of the account I get the message "cannot send message using the server smtp.east.*$&.net When I click on "connection Doctor" Connection status-"mail was able to connect to the internet. Any ideas? thank you

It could be that your ISP wants you to use a specific outgoing mail server. Check with your ISP. Sometimes they will only allow you to use their outgoing mail server when you're on their network and not your own. For example, if you use Optimum Online they may only let you use mail.optonline.com for outgoing so you couldn't use mail.yourdomain.com.
They do this to cut down on people sending spam from their networks.

  • Mail 4.3 will not send w/ gmail as server

Hi. I'm a longtime mac user and just bought a new macbook pro running 10.6.4. Mail is version 4.3. I have used Mail since its inception and am familiar with its form and function. Here are my issues:
    1) the auto configuration only seems to allow for imap formating. I don't use it (for many reasons) so I proceeded on and made it take my pop accounts from gmail.
2)Once configured, all mail downloaded appropriately into my account folders and smart boxes.
3)However,No mail can be sent. In any account. I am using smtp.gmail.com and smtp.googlemail.com as smtp destination addresses. When the mail fails I am able to run the connectivity doctor and it says "all accounts have successfully connected."
    4) Pretty sure this is an Apple issue (either Mail 4.3 or OS 10.6.4) as I downloaded Thunderbird and configured it *exactly* the same way and mail downloads and sends through that program.
    5) I've tried different ports and am currently using the setting "Use default ports(25,465,587) SSl box is unchecked, and I have "none" selected for authentication method. I have tried "password" without any change.
    6) I really don't want to change to Thunderbird as I have a ton of mail sorted into tidy Smart Boxes and I'm used to Mail, but I'm at my wit's end. I have provided feedback to Apple and am waiting...
I see this is an issue across mac forum, but I have yet to find a fix. Anyone have any ideas.

I suspect it was in an attempt to make the setup of popular account service more foolproof. Just entering the address and Username for an account with Gmail, Hotmail, MobileMe, etc. speeds ahead to set up the server names and ports without your assistance. Most of the time that is handy.
Since Gmail is best used as IMAP if using two or more computers, or using with an iPhone, the default was set to IMAP, probably. The way required to get it set as POP is rather awkward, in my opinion.

  • My dad's computer receives mail fine, but will not send mail.

I have tried inputting different smtp servers, but even the smtp servers that I can use just fine on my own macbook fail when used on his.  Also his internet connection is fine.

  • AOL mail will not send

AOL mail will not send from iPad. It goes to outbox and stays forever. Have deleted the account and re-added the account. It test fine and verifies with no problem, but every consequent send results in server error. Accounts work find on iPod touch and webmail. The issue is with mail app only. Any advice? I just configured four of these for the kids. The two that use hotmail have no problems...it's just the AOL accounts. I even added my AOL account...and it too, fails to send from iPad.

I have an AOL account and I do not have the AOL client loaded on my PC. Our ISP is Time Warner Road Runner. iPad is connected via Wifi to Linksys E3000 cable modem router, which is connected to Motorola SB5100 cable modem. iPad will receive AOL mail OK, but will not send. iPad will receive & send OK for Road Runner mail.
Here is how I solved the problem. Apparently Road Runner does not allow to be on their network and use other mail server such as AOL to send. My guess is that is their attempt to stop spam or phishing.
I added the secondary SMTP server, which is Road Runner's SMTP and turned both primary & secondary servers on so that I can use it when I'm not at home. It now works like a charm. Road Runner SMTP doesn't work with SSL, so I had to leave that off for smtp-server.xxx.rr.com, where xxx is the location such as san for San Diego. No User Name or Password necessary.
My guess is that this is the case or other ISP's as well. Hope this helps someone.

  • IPhoto 11 will not send placecard holder text when e-mailing!

When sending photos with template design with a placecard text holder it will delete the text when e-mailing. A message come up saying it will e-mail photos but will not send text!

It's what everyone is complaining about. Your only option is to File > Export, say to the Desktop, and then attach them to an e-mail yourself, say by dragging the photos onto the Mail icon in the Dock.
Perhaps soon someone will write an export plug-in that will do that for you.

  • One of four email accts will not send mail

I have a Z. Tablet. I set up four of our business email accts and all will receive mail but one will not send mail. Tried many combinations of smtp addresses but no joy. Consulted my email provider tech guys. They set up using same on another android device and worked for them. They have given up on solving this. It just happens this is the most important mailbox. Anyone offer help to solve?

What if you use a different email app? perhaps Moxier, K9, Maildroid?

  • Mail will not send from anywhere except home

I am using mail with an external mail server. I have two accounts on the same server. For some reason when I send from my primary account at my house it works fine. If I am anywhere else it will not send email. The secondary account does not have this problem. any idea why this might be happening and how to correct the problem?

if two accounts on the same server and one works, then you aren't having network issues.
It's possible that a particular message you're sending is tripping blacklists. if the subject or content has the keywords that trigger a rejection, that might be your explanation. Use test emails..
Next, I'd look to see if the accounts are configured the same. It might be that the server location works with your DNS at home, but when away, it doesn't resolve. Check to make sure the evil account matches the good one.
If this is a large service provider (gmail, yahoo, aol) it shouldn't matter, but a small personal server might have different server side rules for each account. I run a server and it has the option to require that the mail come from the same domain as the account. That makes the account incapable of sending while the account owner is out of the network.
Use the Connection Doctor (under the Window menu)
Question: what is the service provider of the email account?

without changing settings, iMac mail V4.6,  1)will not save password   2)takes accounts offline  3)will not except password   4)will not send mail from accounts every time.
What happen?  How do I correct this?

    Hi Nuch1,
I found an article that is contains very thorough Mail troubleshooting steps:
OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3276
You can use that article to figure out what part of the email "ecosystem" is the cause of the issue, and it can also help you attempt to resolve it.
    Hope that helps,
