Outgoing Email errors

I setup a POP3 Outlook account on my Pre. Both the incomming and outgoing server information is the same. No encryption. I am receiving mail just fine. I can't send a new or reply to an amail. Outgoing errors.
Any suggestions?

Problem Solved - automajiclally! After three hours in a Sprint store and another two hours. I decided to delete all the email accounts and begin again. Didn't work the first time, but after the third attempt of a manual email setup, it finally worked.
For people using a Network Solutions hosted website and email system: the Palm Pre set up is
POP3
Incomming Server: mail.yourdomain.com
outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com (uses the same login as incomming)
No encryption.
Now, onto another problem that may never be resolved...syncing calander and contacts without an exchange server.

    Please check for Outgoing email setting - 
    Configure outgoing email for a SharePoint 2013 farm
    For Host Controller Service error- This seems to be a search error, are you sure you are referring correct error from log ?. For this error you can try -
    - Please try to restart "Search Host Controller Service" from central Admin site -services
    - Restart Timer service at server
    - Replace node.ini from working server to your server  - as explained here -

  • Errors in SOST for outgoing emails

    Hi All,
    I am coming across few errors in SOST with recipient as MAILSYS and the error text says 'No delivery to MAILSYS, invalid recipient address'. Can anybody help me to find out why the outgoing emails are not being sent. From SOST log how to find out workitem ID so that we can check in SWI1.

    I didn't get you (1 recipient list ???). Daily I am observing errors most of which have recipient as MAILSYS and very few othes like normal email addresses,
    the error text says like 'No delivery to MAILSYS, invalid recipient address' or 'No delivery to - Normal email ID - , as recipient unknown'

    Cannot set up Lightroom 5 email capability with Google Mail. Have confirmed proper smpt address, email and password and error message still comes up:

    I agree with Bistesh. But after Outgoing e-mail settings are configured properly, if the issue still exists,
    It may result from your Anti-Virus. Please refer to the following steps:
    Open MCAfee Console and go to Access Protection window.
    Click Anti-Virus Standard Protection and edit “prevent mass mailing 
    worms from sending emails” rule.
    Now we need to know which processes are being blocked therefore we need to check the MCAfee Log located at
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee\DesktopProtection\AccessProtectionLog.txt
    you may find entries of DtExec , DtExecUI and DatabaseMail90, now these processes need to be entered in the exclusion list of selected rule .
    Reset the IIS And SharePoint Timer service to check if this works for you.

  • Windows Live Mail 2012 - Outgoing Email Times Out due to Lost Server Connection

    Using Windows Live Mail 2012 on WIN7 64-bit.
    Been receiving emails seemingly without issues, but...
    Haven't been able to POST any outgoing emails now since September 16th for any of my main/sub accounts.
    Indicator is a Norton Internet Security popup stating:
    "Email Error. Your email message was unable to be sent because the connection to your email server was interrupted. Please open your email client and resend the message from the Sent Messages folder." Then it lists the from/to/subj.
    I recompose and try to resend; same results.
    I've rolled WIN7 back to September 6th, but results are the same.
    I thought perhaps NIS was blocking the SMTP port, but same results when I turn off NIS and Antivirus. I don't see anything of significance in NIS's logs.
    Of course, Verizon's mini-app that sniffs out and corrects email problems does not know or care about Live Mail. Just Outlook and OE.
    Ideas? Things to try? Thanks.

    For the sake of example, we are going to pretend that we are setting up fictional account "[email protected]" and the password for logging into that account in webmail is "fakepassword" - Again, this is a fictitious account for the sake of an example.
    The settings for using Verizon's servers would be:
    Incoming Server: pop.verizon.net
    Server Requires Authentication: Yes
    Username: fakeacct
    Password: fakepassword
    Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): Yes
    Port: 995
    Outgoing Server: smtp.verizon.net
    Server Requires Authentication: Yes (You can set it to use the same settings as incoming, or manually enter the username and password.)
    Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): Yes
    Port: 465
    If you are given the option anywhere for Secure Password Authentication (SPA), set it to No or Normal

  • Why can't I attach documents and photos to my outgoing emails in Windows live hotmail

    Ever since the new version of Windows live hotmail has been downloaded on my computer, the only way I can attach documents and photos to outgoing emails is thru Internet explorer without any add ons and even this was not easy. I used to be able to attach with no problems and now I cannot and I really need to be able to do this. I send alot of emails with attachments. Every time I try to attach a document it gives me an error message. It just says error nothing else. Please help!!!!

    Pages saves its files as a small package, not a single file. You will have to compress it first (think it's called Create Archive but can't be sure). You could do File>Export & choose .doc which would save it as a Word document & then attach it to the email (some formatting may be lost).

    Since upgrading to iPhone 4, sending an email always results in the error message "A copy has been placed in your outbox. The recipient "......@...." was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. This happens regardless of the recipent.     I was told there could be a problem with your Outgoing mail server settings and most likley have an Outgoing authentication error with your server. Make sure all your settings comply with your servers suggested settings for IMAP or POP3 etc. Usually located in options of the web version mail.
    Most importantly make sure your username and passowrd are correct and added in the Outgoing Mail server
    Hope this helps!
    Contact your mail server provider for suggest outgoing settings if u can not find them

    Your email provider controls the IP address they assign you. Only they can clear the reputation of a blacklisted IP address. Contact them.

  • Outgoing emails end up in outbox for 3 weeks

    Purchased 2 ipad minis for son and I and his hospital stay.  Three weeks ago all emails end up in outbox.  One works fine, again outgoing emails just sit. Thoroughly disgusted.  Dot .

    Open the Console application in Applications/Utilities. When you send an email it is noted there. Monitor the emails you send and when one fails as you described, check the log and see if the is an error message. If so, copy and paste (not a screen shot) the error message in a reply.
    This will be a pain, but given the random nature of the problem, it may be the only way to tell unless someone else knows how to solve this.

  • No outgoing email on ATT 3GS?

    God help me but I upgraded my iPhone 3GS to iOS5 and my outgoing email immediately crapped out. I had 2 email accounts set up. 1) my personal POP account @comcast.net and using smtp.comcast.net as outgoing server. I also had my work account, a IMAP account, set up using either the same outgoing server and.or the att server "cwmx.com."
    Until the upgrade and opening of an icloud account using my personal comcast account/Apple ID --- both worked fabulously.
    Post upgrade, I've deleted the @comcast account - I'm using a Comcast app to send and receive email there. Had it installed before upgrade and since it just duplicated everything, I kept it and deleted the email account. But I've repeatedly set up my IMAP account, with both prevously noted outging servers set up and on, and I cannot SEND email. Receive yes, send, no! Oddly enough I have the same email accounts set up on my ipad2 and it works as it does on my MacBookPro.
    I have smtp.comcast.net set as the primary outgoing server and cwmx.com as an "other", When I try to send I get an error message saying the cwmx server is not responding.
    I should also mention that I se a ATT signal booster or mini cell here at home so my utgoing calls are made over wifi but I don't know if that makes any difference.
    When I attempt to send a email I get the error message - The connection to the outgoing server "cwmx.com" failed.
    Incredibly frustrated. Any ideas???

    honestly, i really dont know. I would think it supports it as in other people can access eircom email on mobiles....
    when i start to setup on iphone it automatically sets up as POP but i have also tried as IMAP and this also does not work.
    the settings for incoming mail server automatically fills in when i click save on the first step.
    very sorry, i really dont understand any of this .......

Recently, barracudacentral.org blocks our outgoing email because of these reasons: •Your email server contains a virus and has been sending out spam. •Your email server may be misconfigured. •Your PC may be infected with a virus or botnet software program. •Someone in your organization may have a PC infected with a virus or botnet program. •You may be utilizing a dynamic IP address which was previously utilized by a known spammer. •Your marketing department may be sending out bulk emails that do not comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. •You may have an insecure wireless network which is allowing unknown users to use your network to send spam. •In some rare cases, your recipient's Barracuda Spam Firewall may be misconfigured. Why?

    have had the same DSL for 9 years..
    occurs on outlook 2010 under win7 x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista premium, and outlook 2003 under XP64, (all different computers).
    outgoing server name has not changed on my end 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net'.
    is the outgoing email server down?
    ping shows timeout  to 98.139.211.191  smtp.vzn.mail.fy4.b.yahoo.com  (25% loss of packets)

  • Why doesn't outgoing email sound work?

    A while back I had this same problem...the outgoing email sound didn't work. So I did this: Applications>Utilities>Audio Midi Setup>Built-in Output>Output> Changed the output to 2ch - 32bit Float (was originally: 2ch-24 bit integer). Then the sound worked fine. Today, once again, the same problem has recurred. Additionally, now when I increase or decrease the sound from the keyboard, there is no "bleeping" sound with each increase or decrease change. There is sound when I watch a video, etc. I went to Audio Midi Setup and tried changing back to 2ch-24 bit integer, but that didn't help. I did try rebooting with 2ch-32 bit Float as well as with 2ch-24bit integer...didn't help. Any suggestions?

    You don't give us anything like enough data to go on. What is your operating system? Do you have a functioning iCloud account - i.e. are you signed in in System Preferences>iCloud?
    Were you originally a MobileMe subscriber? If so, did you migrate to iCloud?
    Was your email still working recently? Do you get any error messages? What happens when you try to use it?
    Have you been using an @icloud.com address or an @me.com address?
