Outgoing email rejected by Network Solutions server

Recently my outgoing emails are being rejected by the server.  My server is Network Solutions.  How do I fix this.

Tap Settings
Tap Mail,Contacts,Calendars
Tap the name of the account
Scroll down and tap SMTP
Is the primary server the Network Solutions outgoing server name (you can check the instructions for mobile devices on their web site)
Tap on the name of the SMTP server
Verify that the Host Name is correct
The User Name is your email address
The Password is your email password
SSL should probably be ON, but try both ways
Authentication should probably be Password, but check their web site
Server Port will be 465 if SSL is on, but check their web site
Tap Done

  • Email setup and Network Solutions

My client's site is hosted on Network Solutions. I entered the information for email into the ADDT control panel (server name, port, username[email], password) but any page that calls the send email trigger fails to connect to the mail sever. Has anyone run into this problem either on Network Solutions?
I've done this many times successfully on other hosting companies.
Thanks in advance for any help.

kkhalifeh, when you enter the email setup, choose the advanced options and attempt the mail setup.

  • Why is outgoing mail rejected by the Exchange server?

    Hi all.
One in every 10 emails sent via Mavericks Mail is being rejected by my Exchange server. It's more like one in two emails with attachments. Shutting down Mail and re-opening doesn't help. Eventually I get the rejection window and list of servers: when I click the one I'm already trying to use, it sends! I'm presuming this is a bug, or something's changed in the way Mavericks Mail deals with Exchange because nothing else has been altered.
    Yours,
    Aidan

  • Can't connect to my wesite host (Network Solutions) Server.

When trying to connect through the Expression Web application to my Website Host Server, I get an Server error: Error 2 opening registry key Software/microsoft/shared tools/web server extensions/ports/port 80. It has something to do with a Front Page Extension.
My website was hosted with Network Solutions for close to ten years, and I had a Front Page Extension issue in the past which was resolved at the host sever. Not anymore, tech personnel (farmed out to non English speaking entities) is not helpful at all.
Searching for answers, I got suggestions to do a registry modification (Registry Key Permissions), but I cannot find an entry "Web Server Extensions" in my registry. Is there any way to resolve my problem?

Thanks for the prompt response. I was afraid that I am screwed having build my website with Front Page and later migrated to Expression Web.
Network Solutions is in the process of updating to Windows Server 2012 R2.
Dear Hosting Customer, Tomorrow, your Network Solutions hosting package will be updated to Windows Server 2012 R2, resulting in a brief interruption of your hosting service.
This update is necessary to keep your server up to date, secure and running properly. The migration will take place tomorrow, and will last approximately 1 hour. NOTE: AWStats user credential has changed. Please use your default ftp credentials if you need
to access the awstats page directly. Next Steps: In
order for this migration to run smoothly, we need you to do a couple of things depending on your package set up.
FrontPage Extensions: FrontPage extensions will no longer be available.
As a result, customers with FrontPage Extensions will need to update their sites in order for them to continue to work.
.NET 1.1 or Earlier Platforms: .NET 1.1 will no longer be supported
after the Windows update. Customers with .NET need to update their site in order for them to continue to work.
External Domain Pointers: Customers with external domains. (Domain
names not registered with Network Solution or are not using Network Solution name servers) pointing to a Windows 2003 hosting package need to update their ADNS for the domain with a new IP address.
Your new IP address is 209.17.116.7
NetSol Domains: Customers with a NetSol domain and pointing to a
Windows 2003 hosting package will have their A record changed automatically. No intervention on their part is needed
In addition to many Network Solutions features that continue to be supported, there are new features you will get with this upgrade.
Now I have to find a way to update my site, and any suggestion on how to go about it would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Oskar F. Neuhold

  • Outgoing email rejected by server

HI I am having issues with my work email on my iPhone 4! The phone is my employers and they have inoutted all the settings and passwords which are not available to me, however this problem is common on all company phones. Basically my personal emails work fine, and my work mail receives ok, however when I send it states "a copy has been placed in your outbox. The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server. The outgoing server is smtp.gotadsl.co.uk server port 25.
THe strange thing is it worked intermittently today and sent mail, not sure if it's because I was in the office on their wifi but it won't work again now.
Please help, it's driving us all bonkers!!!
PS tried restarts, only 3G etc but ran out of ideas.......

If you know that you have the correct password, you can check this. I have seen it work for others who have gotten the "message was rejected by the server" message. \
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
I had to do this when I restored my new iPad from the backup of my old iPad with an IMAP account that I have.

  • I can send email but not receive on my iphone 3GS. Emails to my .me address are OK but not emails to the address hosted by Network Solutions. NS have checked my settings twice. I am using IMAP. Is this a problem with iCloud?

I use IMAP email hosted by Network Solutions for my main email address. I can send and receive this OK in my Mac Mail on my MAC book and also on webmail. However my iphone doesn't receive these emails but it can send. I have checked settings on my iphone twice with Network Solutions but no luck. Emails addressed to my .me address are received OK. I have a suspicion this problem started when I signed up to icloud.
    my ISP is BTconnect
    Any ideas?

Useful suggestions. In fact I had already deleted and re-entered the account details a few days ago without apparent success. The error message was along the lines of "cannot access the server".
Anyway about an hour after your message, my emails started coming through after a 6 month gap!  - makes me think someone at Network Solutions monitors these discussions.
    Many thanks

  • Does anyone here use Network Solutions? (shared hosting)

I've been attempting to link to my mySQL database through the Dreamweaver interface for the purpose of writing web-based applications. I consistently get an error that indicates that some problem exists but is not specific. A colleague suggested that permission set on the mySQL server might not allow REMOTE accept to the database schema. I called Network Solutions and got a somewhat tenuous reply that perhaps their shared hosting services won't allow me to use Dreamweaver in this fashion.
Does anyone here actually use Network Solutions (in other than a VPS-mode) and is successful in connecting to their mySQL database?
(NOTE: I am able to get the phpMyAdmin application running on the Network Solutions server to connect and display the contents of the database. But the mySQL GUI applications connect and give some information but to date have not allowed me to the see the full extent of the databse information the way phpMyAdmin does.)
Any suggestions for which ISPs do allow a successful connection would be appreciated. I am told too that many folks run a local version of PHP/mySQL on their Macs (which is what I am using) and do their work locally. Has this been the predominate mode of working for most of you?

generally most people use a local testing server to do their work.  the easiest way to do this on your mac is MAMP. http://www.mamp.info/en/downloads/index.html
Although macs do come ready to support php/mysql, it will make you're life much easier using mamp.  simply start it up and apache php mysql are all ready to rock.  test your pages in the htdocs folder and connect to mysql using the localhost connection (and make sure you pay attention to the ports... use 3306 if confusion sets in).
as for connecting remotely to a database, yes it can be done... i do it all the time with my hosting (that is not NS), and you're have to do it that way if you're working on a sql server database / asp from your mac.  but for now, i'd just work locally.

  • Delete outgoing emails

    Hi to all,
I need to delete all outgoing emails in my macosx mail server because I notice that a large amount of spam emails are processed by my smtp server.
    How can do it?
    Thank you all
    Yorh

This topic was addressed by another in
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=658645&#658645
This is caused by either an open relay on your server or someone has taken over an account.
I had the same problem. Hope this helps.
Alternatively you can stop all mail going out by turning off your mailserver or in Server Admin - Mail - General choose the option to HOLD OUTGOING MAIL until you get the spam thing taken care of.
When we were affected directly by this we were sending out about 50,000 spam emails every 10 min.
If you find any files in the location noted in the post I mentioned please send a copy of them to pterobyte in that post. He and another are hopefully looking into this rash of OSX spam relays that have been popping up.

  • How do I get my outgoing mail to work using Network Solutions email

I use Network Solutions to host my URL and email. I had Thunderbird working but my computer crashed. I had to reinstall Windows and Thunderbird. I now cannot get my outgoing email to work. I've tried different SSL, Port, and Authentication settings with no success. Does anyone know how to setup Network Solutions email in Thunderbird?

Have you asked Network Solutions about the correct server settings?
Presumably they do have a support web site.

  • Can't get Email client to work with Network Solutions Email server

This is a new Email account started after I installed Snow Leopard. The Email server is Network Solutions. I have tried all afternoon and evening trying to set up just one account / mailbox on the Mac and I still haven't gotten it to work. I have been over the settings multiple times with Network Solutions and they tell me all the settings are correct, but still no joy. When I try to 'Get Mail' it simply spins its wheels for a minute or so then displays a (!); i.e. it times out and stops trying. I don't know if it is something about Network Solution's servers that is causing the problem or if it something wrong on my end (most likely). Any idea what I can try? Is there a log someplace that will tell me exactly what part of the process is failing?

Problem solved. For some reason the POP client had 'SSL' turned on. Guess I set it by accident during one of my many tries. All is well now.

  • Block outgoing email because of VPN server

We have Cisco VPN on ASA for over 4 years. Recently, barracudacentral.org blocks our outgoing email because of these reasons: •Your email server contains a virus and has been sending out spam. •Your email server may be misconfigured. •Your PC may be infected with a virus or botnet software program. •Someone in your organization may have a PC infected with a virus or botnet program. •You may be utilizing a dynamic IP address which was previously utilized by a known spammer. •Your marketing department may be sending out bulk emails that do not comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. •You may have an insecure wireless network which is allowing unknown users to use your network to send spam. •In some rare cases, your recipient's Barracuda Spam Firewall may be misconfigured. This is the undeliverable message: barracudacentral.org rejected your message to the following e-mail addresses and  gave this error: Service unavailable; Client host [VPN IP address-illinois.hfc.comcastbusiness.net] blocked using Barracuda Reputation; http://bbl.barracudacentral.com/q.cgi?ip=VPN IP Address The IP address they blocks is our VPN server. • Verzon Blocking Outgoing Email Server

Have read on other posts regarding something like this. Its not the port as I have chanced between 25 and 587. There is no set up issue and no I do not need to reinstall Windows.
I have three ISPs due to frequent travel. In the US I am able to send and reveive email from my Verizon account using Outlook without problems. Can even do this using a Verizon compeitor's servie to access the Internet.
When abroad, incoming email using Verizon is OK. Outgoing is blocked. This is consistent.
Can Verizon comment on this? Either admit it and I will find an alternative or provide a solution. A "whitelist" inquiry was made but unanswered. I read on another post where Verizon danced around a FIOS cussomers exact same complain.
You have 2 business days or I'm filing an FCC complaint and encouraging everyone with the same problem to do so. It's not so much the blocking but hte failure to provide a workaround for legitimate use, failure to answer, and inclination to be indifferent while taking money form customers.

If I understand your complaint correctly, you are unable to use Verizon's outgoing server (outgoing.verizon.net) on networks outside of the US.
    What error are you getting?
