Outgoing email server not available

I got an email from aol (verified) that a large number of their email accounts have been compromised. They suggested that I change my password and my security question. I did so, and I also changed my aol password on my iPhone 4. I tried to send an email from my iPhone and got a message that it coulld not be sent beacause I do not have a connection to my outgoing mail server. I tried to change the password on the server, but the password was greyed out. I guess I'll have to delete the aol account and add it back in. My question is, will I lose my "notes" "calendar" and my "contact list"? or will the iPhone software retain them?
I would be most grateful for a response.

If your notes, calendar and contact list are on the AOL mail server, you will get them back when you add back your email account.
To check that they are go to your mail on the server and check.

All I want to be able to do is send myself hi-res images from iPhoto. It's telling me "The email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination." I have tried every combination under the sun.
At one point it prompted me for an outgoing server and I put in the one from my phone...that was probably the wrong thing to do...but I cannot seem to change it, despite several attempts at setting up all my different email addresses and deleting and trying again.

Would you please confirm what email you are trying to use with iPhoto, you still have not.
Is it an iCloud account or from some other provider?
it would prompt me to set up an iCloud account, which I believe I already have.
To find out if you actually have an iCloud account go to www.icloud.com and try to login.

ISP Particular About Outgoing Email Server

My ISP is one of those who insist you use their outgoing email servers. It's a CYA issue in which they seek to keep SPAM from being sent with their domain on it. However, the password I use to log in to my account on their web site get's rejected whenever I try logging in to their outgoing email server. Does anybody know what's going on?

Not quite clear what you mean by that... is this WebMail?

Server Not Available When Trying to Get Email

For monts i've not been able to get email from my home computer , when I sign in i get a message saying server not available . what must I do in order to be able to get my email.

Verizon yahoo outgoing email server down?

two days now, can't send email. exact message from outlook is:
Task - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
have had the same DSL for 9 years..
occurs on outlook 2010 under win7 x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista x64 ultimate, outlook 2007 under vista premium, and outlook 2003 under XP64, (all different computers).
outgoing server name has not changed on my end 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net'.
is the outgoing email server down?
ping shows timeout to 98.139.211.191 smtp.vzn.mail.fy4.b.yahoo.com (25% loss of packets)

Sometimes deleting the account and then re-creating it can solve this issue
Write down all the information in accounts before doing this
Highlight the account on the left and click the minus button
Then click the plus button to add the new account and follow the prompts

'Profile Server Not Available' error when trying to access Profile Manager

Hello all,
I'm totally, totally new to OS X Server, but I have a class full of new iMac's and MacBook's that I want to be able to manage all in one go. Don't really mind about File Sharing, access from anywhere in the world etc. but I just want to be able to push updates to all of them at once as well as manage some default settings for them all.
I've set up most of what I can see I need to do in OS X Server such as the server itself as a .local, Profile Manager, Websites, VPN, Open Directory and Software Update, but when I try to access my .local through any browser, I get the main screen, but get an error page when I try to go into Profile Manager that says 'Profile Server Not Available. Please wait a moment and try again.'
Can anyone suggest where they think I might be going wrong or need to do? I can give more information or screenshots if needed, juts let me know. Any help super appreciated

Sorry, because I'm so new I don't quite get what you mean. A little more information is I'm using my MacBook which is connected to the same WiFi network as the other Mac's. What do you mean by the FQDN?
I'm able to type in the IP address etc. on any other of the Mac's and it loads the 'Welcome to OS X Server' page, it's just when I select Profile Manager, I get the error. Thanks for getting back though, appreciated the quick help.. and I'm still super stuck. I've got a whole day on it today ha.

Tried to update to IOS6 and now my ipad is trying to restore -- getting error "activation server not available" help! Have I lost all my video files?

I was trying to do a simple udate of the ios software. I connected to ITunes and the Ipad screen popped up saying there was an update available. I clicked on the update and it started updating and also there was a message saying it was backing up. But then I got a message to click here to complete the update -- with a restore. I did that and now my IPad is n ot woking at all -- I get the initial startup screen and a message that says "your ipad cannot be activated because the activation server is not available" I've tried connecting to itunes and get the same message -- server not available. The devices menu option is grayed out so I cant sync, backup,, restore nothing.... HELP! please! I only wanted to do a simple update -- now I think I've lost all my pictures and video files -- is there a way to get them back??

Try restarting everything and then try to sync or reactivate. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, reboot your iPad and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How to establish connection with the outgoing email server?

Cannot set up Lightroom 5 email capability with Google Mail. Have confirmed proper smpt address, email and password and error message still comes up:
"eFailed to establish connection with the outgoing email server. Please make sure you have entered the email account and password correctly."
How can I clear this up. Help, Adobe!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

we have ocnfigured vertex and when i m creating order, im getting error VERTEX RFC server not available.. in crmd_order tcode
how to debug the vertex RFC calls? where can this error be raised. how to debug?? is there any way?

Yes, SM59 connection is working fine.
Basically i have checked hte SM53 use exit logs and it is showing exception thrown
The Java user exit is throwing exception while calling RFC: RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC as tphost missing and RFC_INVALID_PARAMETER(19) in the SM53 logs.
The java user exit: com.sap.taxes.taxCall.ExternalTaxCalculationRFC is where it is calling above RFC and when it is doing function.execute it is throwing this exception.
i have checked the parameters.... user exit is sending all of them...
any thoughts...

I got an Error 1602 message
When trying to resolve a got a nother message that stated:
Update server not available.
I have tried repeated times to reconnect but not go.
My 3GS phone will not restore when connecting to my itunes.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, the 'Sign in or activation errors' link did not yield any help. I tried all of the suggestions with no luck. I found on another site that this COULD happen as a result of certain wireless issues. I WAS able to install AND activate the product with no problem. Registration went without problem. Just when I went to Help and Check for Updates that it puts up the 'Update Server Not Available'. Any other suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks again.

Trying to buy book. Hit buy, enter Apple ID and password. Note says this email is not available. What to do?

I click on the book, click buy, enter Apple ID and new password. A pop up tells me I have not verified my account so I click OK to do this. Message comes up that says "this email is not available". What to do to buy this book?

Delete them from your library including files, the go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free
