Outgoing Mac Mail always send from the same address?

Hey y'all -
I use 3 gmail accounts through mac mail for 3 different purposes - all fine. But when I send mail, regardless of what account I send it from, recipients always recieve my emails from the same address? E.G. I send an email from addresses 1 or 2, but when they are received they are from address 3? I've also removed address 3 from mac mail, but recipients STILL see address 3 as the sender. Can anyone help? Would a reinstall of mail be appropriate, if so what would be the effective way to go about it?

SOLVED IT!
Right, I had multiple email accounts, all gmail, address 1 2 & 3.
All mail went to the right addresses, fine. But when I compose, lets say from address 1 or 2, it ALWAYS ends up being received the other end by address 3. I only find this out until I get a reply delivered to the wrong address.
SO go to preferences, select one of the problematic addresses, then outgoing mailserver (SMTP:) in this case it will say Gmail. Click it so you get the drop down and edit SMTP list. There is a tab that says advanced. This is where I noticed the problem. On my list of SMTP servers I had one for my microsoft account, and then one Gmail one for all 3 gmail accounts. And what did I find for authentication? the username and password of the problem address that ALL my gmail accounts were sending through. You need to create SEPERATE smtp servers for each and every account, especially when using multiple accounts of the same kind (e.g. 3 gmails!)
This fixed the problem for me perfectly and now my emails send from the CORRECT selected address. HOORAH!

Regardless weather it by gmail or hotmail you compose from, mac defaults to using the next working server. Before setting up seperate smtp servers for each gmail I just deleted the one that was there and then it started sending from microsoft account etc... just to clarify that it works regardless of account type!

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? I had failed to mention in my previous comments that each time the attempted attacks took place, a blank Adobe PDF page appeared. As you suggested, I disabled the Adobe add-on and have had no further attacks. I am extremely dilligent in keeping my SuperAntiSpyware Pro, AvastAntiVirus 5.0, ThreatFire, Vista Firewall Control, Malewarebytes and Windows Defender up to date. However, after any attack I always run these in safe mode just as a precaution. I had suspected the Adobe drop-in may have been the culprit because of the page that appeared and your suggested fix has in fact fixed it!

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

How Can I delete multiple messages from the same address in Mac Mail

Hope this is in the correct Community. Hope someone can help me to delete multiple email messages from the same email address.
At the moment I can do it by holding down the Command key and highlighting each email, but that can be difficult with many messages
to delete. Is there a quicker way?

Thanks for the reply, appreciate your input. I did find another way of doing it and that is to highlight the first e-mail, hold down the shift key and click on the last one. That highlights them all and then they can all be deleted. Your ideas also work of course and I thank you for that. Cheers.

OS X Mail - Always reply from the account mail was receive by.

I have three email accounts: A, B, and C.
Suppose I get email addressed to account A.
When I reply to that email, I obviously want to send the reply from the same account, namely A.
However Mail chooses to reply to mail sent to A from account B, instead, causing great confusion to the sender, who is now communicating with two different accounts. Is there any situation where replying from an account other than the account recieving account makes sense?
I'd like to configure Mail to always reply from the account from which the mail was received. Obviously this is possible and I can't imaging it's not the default behavior but I can't seem to figure out how.

I do leave the messages in my inbox and have "Send from account of selected mailbox" selected but sometimes that doesn't happen...
I just looked at a message I replied with from a few days ago. The original message was sent to account A and the signiture on the reply is from account A but the message was actually sent from account B. This makes no sense, and it seems to be random.
I must have misconfigure something, I'll dig through the account settings.

I just moved to MAIL after 12 years of Eudora.
I’m MAIL 2.1.3 in Mac OS 10.4.11 PPC.
my problem
People send emails to me at 2 different email addresses. Both of them are stored on two different servers, and thus two different POP setups. Let us call them Eunice.net and Poppy.net
I have MAIL setup to pull my emails off both different servers. I think it would be best to always send emails from one particular email address, ([email protected]) using the one particular email POP server. (Eunice.net)
My problem is that when I get an email sent to me at Poppy.net, want to hit reply and have it go out by way of the Eunice.net SMPT (POP) server (and with the return address as [email protected]
The problem is that I can’t find a way to configure my Preferences/Accounts to make this happen. As of now, I hit reply to an email sent to [email protected]… and it tries to send the email out via Poppy.net (and fails) - i get an error messsage.

Mail, Preferences, Composing, Send New Mail from is indeed set properly - so this is why i'm baffled.
Note that this setting is "Send New Mail from", in other words, when you create a New message, not Reply to an existing message. When you create a new message, does it do send from the specified account? Note that this will only work if no message is selected, else it will create the new message using the account of the selected email (assuming Mail can figure out the account from the header).
The following is copied from the Mail help (note how it handles New messages and Replies differently):
*+How is the "From" address determined in a new message or a reply?+*
+Mail will try to determine the correct "From" address to use when you compose a new message or reply to a message.+
*+When you compose a new message, the From address is selected in the following order:+*
+If a message is currently selected, Mail uses the account the message belongs to, if it can be determined from the headers of the message, or by the IMAP mailbox the message resides in.+

One way to ensure that the messages are sent using the Eunice.net SMPT (POP) server is to set that server as the SMTP server in your Poppy mail account (putting your Eunice settings in the SMTP server settings dialog). That won't address the ReplyTo issue (although you can set that manually in the ReplyTo field, accessed via the button next to the subject line).

Mac mail wont send from new address

I wonder if anyone can help me...I recently purchased a mac mail address for my girlfriend and i set it up. (anyone who has done this before will know that all you have to do is put your username and password in to set the @mac address up and all the rest is done for you). However, i can not send mail to her new address, nor can i send anything from her address. I can though send her mail on me.com, and i can also send and receive me.com mail from her mac. I have no idea what is going on. HEELLPP!!

Are you trying to send mail to that address from a different address, or from her own address?
What are the specific settings for the account (Incoming and Outgoing servers, port numbers for each, authentication method, and SSL status)?

Mac Mail not sending from correct account.

I constantly use Mail to send and receive emails on my MacBook.
On it I have three email 'accounts' - my me.com address (for formal emails to work, banks etc.), my "junk" address (for spam, gaming etc.) and my "home" address (for personal emails and everything else).
When typing an email, if I choose to send it from a different account than the one I originally selected, I can just change it in the 'From' pop-down menu (under the 'To', 'Cc', 'Bcc' and 'Subject' fields).
Recently though, for some reason when I want to send an email from my "home" address, it sends it from my "junk"one instead, even if I am sending it 'From' my "home" address.
It still has my "home" address' signature, and not every time it does send from my "junk" one instead - rather it seems to send from both as it feels up to.
This bothers me quite a bit, especially when I send an important email using my "home" address but it sends from my "junk" - both confusing and annoying me and the recipients.
This only just started happening to me this past week. Does anyone else have the same issue, and any help would be greatly appreciated

Some mail servers such as gmail will change the address when sending from one account through another account's server.
Go into Mail's preferences under Accounts. Highlight each account and make sure the correct outgoing server is listed for that account with the correct user name and password. Each account should have their own. Check the box to use only that server with that account. Do this for all accounts.
If you don't check the box and the server fails, it will move on to the next one in the list. Then you will get the address from that server even though you're sending from a different account.
If the server does fail, you will get a selection box to try again or select another server.

Getting e-mails from the same address onto two devices

I am so cross. My husband and I have used Blackberries for years and never had this problem before. Last month, both our phones were stolen, so we replaced them with Curve 9360s. He and I share a Yahoo e-mail account address. However, on these new devices, we are not allowed to both use the address. I can register the address onto my phone but as soon as I do so with his, the service vanishes from mine and vice versa. I have tried using the same Blackberry ID for both; I have tried setting up different IDs on each phone. Doesn't work. It's having the same e-address that is the sticking point. I'm really really hacked off about this as we both rely on our phones for on-the-go e-mailing and it would seem we have just wasted £200 on phones that provide a lesser service than the old models we were using before.

That certainly doesn't sound right. I've used the same email account on two different BlackBerrys.

Spaces always sends to the same Desktop, drop-lists and combo boxes broken

I have a new behavior that has just started. When I click on the Spaces icon on my dock - it has several weird behaviors. First, no matter what I click on - it will only send me to the upper right desktop. Second, when I move the mouse while using spaces - the animation flickers very strangely. Third, the animation when Spaces opens and closes is VERY VERY slow and it takes several seconds between clicking the Spaces icon in the dock to when the animation is complete and you can select a desktop.
Possibly related (because it started at the same time) all of the auto-complete menus (i.e. - those menus that help you type faster when you enter text into HTML forms etc.) are now un-usable. They flicker in and out so quickly that I cannot click on them. Ditto for any sort of combo-box or drop list control in any application.
Has anyone else started experiencing this problem?

I'll throw out some other ideas.
A. System wide freak-outs can also be caused by bad or duplicate fonts installed or important fonts missing. Open Font Book and see if any fonts have a dot next to them. If you move or change fonts that are necessary for apps you get many problems.Here is a list of necessary fonts. The system fonts will not allow you to move them so it probably is not one of them. You can also try cleaning the system and font caches using Onyx.
B. Incomplete upgrades can leave your system in a mess. It would be easier to archive and install then to try and figure out what pieces you are missing.
C. I would also suspect any third party utilities you have installed, especially in the System Preferences or that activate on start up.
System Prefs:
• Out of date utilities for your third party mouse. Try updating the utility.
• Haxies for the system- try turning them off.
D. Antivirus programs often cause more harm then good. Do you have any installed? On Windows machine I have used when your subscription expires the software cripples your system. The solution is to completely remove it or renew your subscription.
E. If you are using a wireless mouse check the batteries.

you can use external connectios between OUT0 and PFI lines. You can also use
the backplane to do so by routing into the same RTSI line.

On the SCOPE and FGEN, the name of the
terminals are actually “PXI Trigger Line x/RTSIx” but on the 6602 you might
need to route the signal using the property:

This will depend on the frequency of
your pulse train. If this is lower than about 10 ms, then you can probably
place this on a loop and start and stop the acquisition every time. If the
frequency is higher than this, you will have to use:

- MultiRecord Fetch (more information in the scope help file
section “Acquisition Functions Reading versus Fetching”).

The short answer is yes. The longer one
might depend on how tight you need the synchronization to be (us, ns, ps). For

I work on a project based on AXI PCIe Bridge.
What I am trying to do is access a userspace memory block directly from a Microblaze (or DMA).
So far, I use posix_memalign() to allocate a block of memory in the userspace which has the size of the page (4K).
Once I allocate this block of memory I fill it with data.
Then I pass its pointer to my kernel driver where I use get_user_pages() and a few other functions to create a scatter/gather list in order to get the physical addresses of my userspace pages (so far I get one physical address since I have allocated one page).
The next step is to write that physical address to the AXI BAR 0 address register.
I validate that the correct address is written at this register.
Then I ask the Microblaze to read the data from this physical address but I get different data.
After reading the data I ask the Microblaze to write new ones at this address.
I repeat all that procedure by allocating new memory block filled with different data in my userspace.
Then I pass the new physical address again at the AXI BAR 0 address register.
This time the Microblaze reads the last data it wrote itself.
It seems like the Microblaze always reads/writes from/to an unknown address even if I repeatedly give different physical address at the AXI BAR 0 address register.
Are there any suggestions?

Trying the "cache coherency issue" approach, though, did not solve the problem either.
I have, also, tried a different case which worked.
I used pci_alloc_consistent() in my kernel driver and I gave its physical address to the AXI BAR 0 address register.
Then the MIcroblaze writes and reads data from/to this block of memory correctly.
The kernel driver verified that the transfers are correct since it read the same data that the Microblaze previously wrote.
This approach always worked for every new allocated block of memory.

Hi,
I have 2 email addresses synced into one gmail account (one regular gmail "[email protected]" and the other from my business school eg. [email protected] ). I receive emails addressed to any of the mentioned emails into regular gmail account.
When I write my emails from a PC, the compose box gives me an option to let me select which email address will be displayed to the receiver ("send from" option.... [email protected] OR [email protected]).
I want to figure out how can I get the same option on my 920 mailbox. It by default sends the emails from the regular gmail account even if the initial message has been replied to the london.edu email.
Let me know if there is solution to this.

I have loaded new software and iMessages does not appear to be working. All messages appear as in delivered but they will send to the same address on my iPhone.

I messages does not appear to be working on iPad every time I type a message it comes up as in delivered but I can type the same message on my iPhone and it works straight away

MMS is a carrier issue... contact Verizon and ensure your account is provisioned correctly. I would think that someone would be intelligent enough to do that before buying a new device, but......
iMessage could be an activation issue or a network issue.
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Does iMessage work consistently on Wi-Fi?
