Outgoing mail won't send on Outlook 2011?
Display message comes up in the bottom right hand corner of the screen saying 'sorry, this domain is not on my list of rcphosts'.
Incoming mail is fine just can't send anything. Must be simple, what do i do?
I am having this same problem. I have checked the settings, the ports, the passwords, etc. a million times. I receive mail, but can't send it. I finally got smart and checked my settings, etc. and set up my email accounts using Entourage instead of Mail. Guess what? It all worked perfectly fine. There is something messed up with Apple's Mail program in its latest iteration, I think. Does anyone know anything about this?
LJB
P.S. Mine is a .Mac email account. My ISP is att. It's been this way for five years. Now, with a new computer, it all has gone to the dogs. Grumble.

I've just upgraded to Mountin Lion from 10.6.8 and can't send mail out. I've checked all my username and password details are correct but it still won't work. Doesd anyone have any suggestions. IN coming mail sems to be fine.
Thanks AdamMany Users who have Upgraded to Mountain Lion are having the problem that you are having, myself included. The following solution helped me.
It sounds like you may need to go into Mail>Preferences>Accounts and Complete setting up you Gmail account. It may not be finished being setup. For instance, note the line below to be selected from the drop down list in "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP", then click on "Edit SMTP Server List" and complete all of the required Gmail information in the next windows:

Mail - outgoing mail won't send over 3g
Recently upgraded from the original iPhone (1st gen) to iPhone 4s.
I have always used Windstream email on my iPhone with no problems, both incoming and outgoing, both wifi and edge (on previous phone.)
With my new 4s, my outgoing mail works fine when I am in my home wifi, but it will not send when away from home and using 3g.
I have contacted Windstream (the ISP) and they only stated that as far as they can tell, my settings are correct, which are:
Outgoing Mail Server
Host name: smtp.windstream.net
User name: [email protected]
Password: (password)
Use SSL: off
Authentication: password
Server Port: 587
Thanks for any hints.Thank you for the suggestions.
Yes, I have my userid and password saved in the settings for smtp.windstream.net.
I added smtp.sprintpcs.com as a secondary SMTP server. it is on and SSL is off. I do not have a userid and password for the sprint smtp server. I have tried both server ports 25 and 587. Unfortunately, I am still getting the error when trying send mail over 3g. -

IPhone 5 - Exchange outgoing mail won't send!
Hello,
Recently switched to Google Apps and in syncing it up with our company iPhones, those with iPhone 5's can't send email out. Following these syncing instructions: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740 but can't get emails to send out. Can't figure out what to do. Google Apps support is saying there should be a patch somewhere for it.
Any patches? Any news? Anybody else have this problem?

My outgoing mail won't send.
Checked and my wifi is working, checked and my Yahoo mail plus settings are correct for outgoing. It does this sometimes and I can never figure out why. Have an outbox with 7 emails from 6:30 this morning, still sitting there. Does anybody else have this problem?
If you are using the Mail app please read http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1307 for some troubleshooting. If it still persists post back and I can give you some pointers.

My mail won't send...
Hi,
My mail won't send on my laptop. There is spinning next to "Send" but the message remains in the outbox.
I deleted and readded all email accounts. This did not solve the problem.
I started a chat with Apple Express support and they said that Lion doesn't support Apple mail so they couldn't help.
I can send via webmail.
I can receive mail.
One error message I receive after it has tried to send the message for awhile is:
Connections to the server “mail.smtp.me” on the default ports timed out.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
My password and username are correct; however, the following error message appears in the Connection Doctor window:
Trying to log in to this SMTP account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct.
Does anyone have a real fix for this issue-it doesn't happen all the time, but has been happening every day for the past week and I need a reliable program to send mail.
Thanks.
lsbBecky,
Check your smtp server and check if your password is added. After ungrading Mail might have lost the password. -
Mail won't send mail when in wireless mode but works fine when wired
Ok, this happens all the time. I have several pop email accounts, all of which work fine when I am hooked in to an ethernet cable, but Apple Mail won't send any of my outgoing mail form any of my accounts when i'm am working wirelessly.
I always get a message like:
Cannot send message using server smtp.name.net
I try to switch servers and I cycle through all of them, getting them same message, followed by things like:
The server response was: 5.1.2 Bad or missing RCPT domain k39sm5757680wah
Any advice.Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Leave checked (enabled) only the port configuration needed to connect to Internet and Built-in Ethernet (in that order if not the same), uncheck (disable) the rest of network port configurations and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
You may use “network locations” to more easily switch between network settings if necessary, as described here:

You should post this to the Mail forum under Mac OSX 10.6.
There are literally dozens of things that need to be done to fix this, up to and including your new internet provider blocks SMTP mail servers. -
Imac mail won't send messages
See if this helps. I recieved this from Comcast back in November 2012, but may have something to do with it.
Dear Valued XFINITY Internet Customer,
Action Taken:
On August 1, Comcast announced that we will no longer support the use of port 25 for sending email. Many older email clients (such as Outlook Express) default to using this port to send email. Please read this message to understand how this action may impact your ability to send email, and what you should do next.
Comcast Webmail Users:
If you use a web browser to access Xfinity Connect or other webmail service, this action will not affect your ability to send or receive e-mail.
Email Program Users (Outlook Express, Outlook, MacMail, etc.):
If you use an email program, this action will disable your program's ability to send email until you change your email program settings to send email on port 465. To protect your email security, click on the link for your current email software, then follow the step-by-step instructions to change your settings.

Switched ISPs and Mail Won't Send
Just switched internet providers (Time Warner Cable to AT&T). Internet and incoming mail work fine, but outgoing messages won't send. My outgoing mail server is my sever at work. How do I get my messages to send?
AT&T might be blocking all network traffic destined for port 25 of any destination, except for their smtp servers (I don't have them, so am unfamiliar with their policies -- but if you used to be able to send, that's what I would suspect). Talk to your I.T. guy at work and see if your work's server can accept incoming on a port other than port 25, like port 465 or port 587.
