Outlook 2002 toolbar shows version 7 instaed of 9

I just installed Acrobat 9 and it removed version 7.
But when I open my MS Outlook 2002 some of the version 7 actions show up on the toolbar.
This is what it shows -
Area in question - where it says File-Edit- the down a ways there is Abobe PDF - if you click Adobe PDF the drop down shows 5 items to choose from.
One of them says Upgrade Acrobat 7 PDF Archive.
My question is how do you remove this?

This solution did not work.
After doing the uninstall. I ran the MS Inst Cleaner and there was no entries for Acrobat.
I then deleted any and all files left over on the hard drive and then reinstalled Acrobat 9.0 and that dialog is still there.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

  • Outlook 2002 and iTunes

    Dear Apple,
Would you please turn back on the unofficial support you were giving for Outlook 2002? Please?
As noted in another thread, prior to iTunes 7.4, it worked, even though it wasn't supposed to. In fact, it worked very well, at least on my machine.
But 7.4 cuts off all support for Outlook 2002. I now have no way to synchronize my iPhone, which is a big problem. There are many good reasons not to want to upgrade to the latest Microsoft Office (the radically different user interface comes to mind). And as others have noted, there is no way to go back to a prior version of iTunes without losing one's music library. This is not a pleasant situation to be in.
I understand if you don't want to support it officially. But you had it working with Outlook 2002 before. The unofficial support wasn't causing any harm. Please bring it back!
    Thanks,
    Brian

That's very encouraging. I can tell you that they definitely switched to a single Outlook plug-in sometime in 7.3 or maybe even earlier, called iTunesOutlookAddIn.dll, which is in c:\Program Files\iTunes\. If I right-click on it and choose properties, then click on the "Version" tab, mine shows 7.4.1.2. Your procedure suggests that the 7.4.1.x series is still fully capable of talking to Outlook 2002, but that it refuses to do so depending on the contents of a text file in that .app directory. Very strange.
Interestingly, the OutlookSyncClient.exe in the Mobile Device Support directory shows version 7.3.20.0, while the OutlookSyncClientHelper.dll shows 7.4.51.1. Maybe OutlookSyncClient.exe is the program that does the actual talking, and since they didn't replace it with a new version, the Outlook 2002 interface code is still there? But the new OutlookSyncClientHelper.dll shuts it off, unless those .app text files have a different version number? The only thing in the .app directory that seems like it would be relevant is version.plist, which in my case shows BuildVersion of 37 and SourceVersion of 190000. I'd love to hear an Apple engineer explain all this.
Anyway, thanks a bunch for taking a look at this! I tell you what, though, it all suggests that this is at best a very temporary fix. I bet any upgrade that replaces OutlookSyncClient.exe will cut off support for good. One will either have to stick to 7.4.2 forever, or upgrade Office, or keep begging Apple to add official Outlook 2002 support.

  • Outlook with SJOC shows emtpty mails, pure IMAP and UWC OK

    JES 2005q1
    SJOC 7.0.213.3
    Outlook 2002 SP3
After importing mail from our old mailserver (sendmail on Solaris), some mails shows up as empty when viewed from Outlook with SJOC. Viewing the same mails from uwc shows the mail content. The same is true when using IMAP (without SJOC) from Outlook.
Have tried import both with imsimport and imapcopy (http://home.arcor.de/armin.diehl/imapcopy/imapcopy.html)
    Ideas anyone?

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem.
On one of our hosted domains, we migrated from JES2
to JES4 (2005Q4). After the mailbox migration, users
of this domain complain that using the outlook
connector, some mails have an empty body and contain
an attachment 'winmail.dat' that is unreadable.
The same mail on the webclient uwc displays ok, but
ALSO contains the winmail.dat attachment (again:
unreadable). There is a later version of OC available. You need to contact Tech Support to get it.
    >
Did you manage to resolve the problem ?
(Can someone who knows harald's email adress please
forward my post to him, as I am not sure he's still

  • Itunes 7 and outlook 2002

I upgraded to itunes 7 and now it says i need outlook 2003 inorder to synch my contacts. does anyone know if there is a fix, I don't want to purchase outlook 2003 and reverting back to older version of itunes seems like the only answer i can find. thank you in advance for any help.

Having grown tired of waiting for Apple to respond, I've discovered a 3-party software called iPodSync (www.ipod-sync.com) which will do the trick nicely plus a lot more. I'm trying the trial version and it works a charm with Outlook 2002 and the most recent firmware on my 5th gen video iPod. Too bad Apple couldn't have sorted this out.

  • Attachments missing in Outlook 2010 but show in Web APp

There was another thread showing this but the answer provided does not seem to apply.  Exchange 2010 SP1 running as virtual system on Server 2008 R2.  4 cores, 12 GB of RAM, 60 GB of free disk space.
Had an e-mail come in addressed to 2 different people and neither showed the attachment.  Forwarded e-mail to my account.  Using Outlook 2010 on all systems.  The forwarded mail shows as an attachment of 3MB but when I open it, it is just
the message with no attachments.  Open my Outlook Web App and the same e-mail now shows the attachments.   I believe the fact that 3 different accounts show the same result eliminates the possibility of corrupt Outlook profiles.
Have rebooted the Exchange server with no change.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Eric

Is there any firewall hardware on your local network?
What is kind of your attachment?
Can you receive the same attachment which is compress by zip or winrar ?
Special format attachment will be blocked by outlook or firewall.
It is the way to receive special file by outlook.
    1.
    Make sure Outlook is closed.
    2.
Open your registry editor by opening the Run command and type
    regedit (regedt32 for Windows 2000).
In Windows Vista and Windows 7 you can also directly type regedit in the Start Menu’s Search box.
    3.
    Locate the following key
    Outlook 2000
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Security]
    Outlook 2002
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security]
    Outlook 2003
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security]
    Outlook 2007
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security]
    Outlook 2010
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security]
    4.
Go to Edit-> New-> String Value and name the value
    Level1Remove (case sensitive!)
    5.
Double-click on the newly created value and enter the extension including the "dot" that you want to open in Outlook. For instance .exe
    If you need to enter more than one extension you'll have to type separate them by a semicolon like this;
    .exe;.bat;.url
    6.
Press OK on the input box and close the registry editor
    7.
When you open now Outlook, the attachments which hold those extensions aren't blocked by Outlook anymore.
To let Outlook block those extensions again follow the instructions again but instead of creating the Level1Remove
    value delete it.
Another way is to move this mailbox to another database. Maybe there is little corruption in this database.

  • IPhone and Outlook 2002 - updated info needed

I need to synchronize a new iPhone with Outlook 2002 - contacts specifically. There was a thread (now archived) about 1-1/2 years ago that describe a way of doing this with iTunes 7.5 and iPhone 1.1.1. However, iTunes is now on version 8.x and the iPhone is on version 3(?). So I raise the question again. Is it possible to synchronize a new iPhone with the "old" Outlook 2002 (aka Outlook XP) using iTunes 8? If not, will it work with iTunes 7.5? If so, does someone know an archive site where I can download 7.5 (for Windows)?
    Thanks in advance.

Outlook 2002 has never been supported.
Outlook 2003 or 2007 is supported.
Since you have a PC running XP, sync contact info with the address book used by Outlook Express - Windows Contacts, which is also supported.
Export the contacts from Outlook 2002 and use Windows Contacts to import the export from Outlook. Certainly Microsoft should include an easy and compatible way to do this since both are MS products.

  • Outlook 2002 and iTunes 10

I’m using Outlook 2002 SP3 with Windows 7 and iTunes 10.1.1.4 with an iPhone 4 running IOS 4.2.1
I have been successfully synching my iPhones with iTunes and Outlook 2002 for years but since installing the most recent version of iTunes I am unable to synch my iPhone with Outlook 2002 and also unable to synch my IE8 bookmarks (or any other browser) with my iPhone 4.
I am able to select all the synch options in the information screen in iTunes but when I press sync the boxes become “unchecked” and no synchronisation takes place. However my music and other content syncs successfully.
I get the error message “iTunes could not synch to iPhone 4 because a session could not be started”
I’d be grateful for any help
    Thanks

I have the same configuration. When starting synchronisation it keeps synching but no progress occurs. I have to cancel the synchronisation. Like the parent post synching before upgrade to the latest itunes version worked well. I'm only synching the calendar and only for the last 30 days.

  • Outlook 2002 Calendar and iTunes 7 are not compatible

Has anyone found a solution to the Outlook calendar problem? When I upgraded to iTunes 7 there was no notice about incompatibility problems with Outlook 2002. Is there anyone from Apple working on this? How do we get some support? I cannot find a way to communicate with them.

Your post is a little confusing. This is the "Installing & Upgrading iTunes for Windows" forum but your post says you have a Mac. To determine which version of OS X you have, go to the Apple menu in the far right of the Menu bar and select "About This Mac". What version of OS X does it tell you you have?
Second, if you truly do have an iPod Classic, which is the latest generation, it didn't come with a CD and it requires iTunes 7.6 or later.
See this link for identifying which iPod you actually have:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61688
Once you've figured out which iPod and which system software you have, you may want to consider posting in a more appropriate forum as you are likely to get more and better answers that way.
You can find older versions of iTunes here:
    http://www.oldapps.com/downloadiTunesmac.php
    Best of luck.

  • My RoboHelp HTML 9 is not showing version control link

My RoboHelp HTML 9 is not showing version control link in File menu and in Tools - > options. Do I need to set anything in project to see version control link?

    Welcome to our community
Have you tried right-clicking the toolbars and ensuring you are seeing the Version Control toolbar?
I believe it may also depend on whether you elected to install version control when you installed RoboHelp. And in thinking about it, *IS* there a version control system installed?

  • Bookmarks toolbar shows icons AND text and won't change to icons only, like in vers 4

Running Firefox 4.0.1 over Windows XP. In previous version, Bookmarks Toolbar showed only Icons, which expanded to Icons plus Text when cursor hovered over the Icon. Now the brute shows Icons AND Text, and refuses to customise to Icons only, even though that's how it is set. Strangely, it will customise to Text only. If I set it to show Icons and Text, I can't see any change at all, it's like the relevant lines of code are identical, or the drop down choices concerned both point to the same line of code (if you follow what I'm getting at). Sorry it's a bit verbose!

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Do you have either Outlook 2002/2003

    Hi,
I would like to run a little experiment with someone who has either Outlook 2002/2003 using a N70/N80 what I would like to know is if you colour code an appointment in calender does it show the same colour triangle (month view) on the phone. I expect I'm being a bit optimistic hoping it will be colour cordinated on the phone.
Unfortunately I can't test this myself as I only have Outlook 2000 but if it does then I will upgrade to Outlook 2003 as it would be useful for my shifts. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mrs. McD and Welcome to Apple Discussions,
First of all I think you should repost this here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=189
That's the Intel iMac forum and you will receive a lot more pertinent information there regarding their experience with the Intel iMacs.
I set up a Mac lab last year at Baker Demonstration School in Wilmette IL. We didn't have your budget so most of our machines are G4 towers with 2 G5 towers and recently 2 iMac G5s. All were donated. So I can't address most of your high end questions. We have been creating a lot of movies mostly using Final Cut Pro and also iMovie.
As to photography I have 2 pro clients who mostly use LightRoom. I personally like Bridge and I think she also uses Photo Mechanic. She originally wanted an iMac but I talked her into a Mac Pro with 2 24" Cinema Monitors. All that extra real estate is very useful for editing photos and also for editing movies. This is pretty much the standard setup. My son edits movies with 4 30" Cinema Displays but he's also doing a lot of rendering.
I've been working with a young pro photographer here in Chicago. We've made a pole attachment for high angle shots and he was recently talking about kite photography.
Actually the IT support guy at the school is also a photographer and I've donated Macs to two photo teachers at the high school level in Chicago so I could ask them.
I agree wholeheartedly about the wireless keyboards and mice. Baker is a preK to middle school and all the keyboards and mice are wired. Less loss. We also use a lot of headphones and have dongles that the phones plug into. This saves wear and tear on the input jack which is easily damaged especially located where it is on the iMacs.

  • Problem to sync calendar with Outlook 2002.

    Hello,
I am encountering the frustrating experience not being able to sync my *Outlook 2002 calendar* with my Iphone.
The weird thing is that the first time the sync went well, but when I add appointments in my calendar, they are not synchronised with iPhone.
I have iTunes version 7.4.3.1 and iPhone 1.1.1.
I can choose Outlook in the "Info" tab in iTunes. It says it syncs, but nothing changes in my iPhone calendar.
I tried the solution proposed by neilrabin, but it didn't change anything.
Can somebody help me out ?
    Thanks !

Outlook 2002 is not officially supported by Apple for iPhone syncing.
    Only 2003 SP2 and 2007.
There are threads here with workarounds if you search. No promise they will work for you, however.

  • Update no longer works with Outlook 2002

I recently updated Itunes as suggested by the software and now I can't sync with Outlook 2002. I have no need for 2003 and am wondering if there is any work around so I can continue to sync? It is not a major issue, since I don't use my Ipod to see my calendar or contacts except when I am out of the country, but it is a minor inconvenience, as I have to print out stuff otherwise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No problems at all for me. I hace 02 docks: Apple 3G Dock and a Altec Lansing Speaker/Dock combination (T-612). Both work 100% ok as they did before the update.

  • I am unable to sync my Ipod touch with Outlook 2007, an operation I was able to do with no problem using Outlook 2002.

When I plug my ipod touch into my desktop computer to synchronise it, and in particular with Outlook 2007, I get the error message "Itunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services". Reconnect or try again. All appropriate boxes have been ticked where possible, the callendar and contacts boxes being greyed out and ticking not possible.  When using Outlook 2002 this box enabled sync to be carried out with Outlook without a problem.  I have uninstalled both Outlook and Itunes and reset my Ipod Touch but get the same results no matter what I do.  Apple claim that the Ipod touch is compatible with Outlook 2007 but it appears not to be the case. I am using the latest Ipod software of 4.2.1.  Can anyone help me.

Tough spot if you want Apple only SW, no idea where you can get where you want without some decent 3rd party SW, which as a rule outshines Apple's SW by light years.
