Outlook 2003 Mail problem
I have a few questions/problems.
1. Anytime my iphone is in the unlocked position and my outlook on my computer checks for new mail I receive an error message "Mailbox is locked...Another Mail Client is using this mailbox". Is there anyway to "allow access" or something so both can check for mail at the same time?
2. I am receiving some emails just on in my outlook, some just on my iphone, and some on both? Once an email is sent, shouldn't it go to both the phone and the outlook if I havent opened it in either?
Is this a POP account?
1. Do you have email being checked on your computer at the same time as on your iPhone? Only one device can be accessing the POP account at one time, so if one is accessing, the other is essentially locked out.
2. Do you have your account set to delete emails from the server once they are fetched? In that case, once one email client (ie your computer) pulls the mail off the server, it will no longer be available for the other client (ie your iPhone) to fetch.
If you can set your account up as an IMAP account instead of POP, everything done on one device will be mirrored exactly on the other.
I'm sure someone else will be able to add a more detailed technical explanation, but I think that's probably what's happening.

IPad / iPhone / Outlook 2003 email problems
Hi,
I have an issue with btinternet emails being available on all 3 devices.
Having changed the iphone and ipademail accounts to yahoo accounts the "account in use on another device" issue has now been resolved. However the issue i am now facing is that once outlook downloads all emails those emails then disappear from the iphone and ipad leaving the inboxes empty.
I have read through a number of suggestions and it seems that Outlook 2003 needs to be set up as an Imap account for incoming mail to synchronize with btinternet and ensure the same emails remain on the iphone / ipad.
Does anyone have any details or can the MODs help me with setting up my outlook 2003 account to imap in order to resolve this problem?
regards,
LPMy android phone has an option to remove messages from the phone when they are deleted from the server. If the iphone has similar maybe you just need to uncheck it.
You can click the white star next to this message if you think it was helpful. -
OUTLOOK 2003 Question/Problem
I have been using my Iphone for approx. 2 weeks and to date it has performed as advertised... now all of a sudden; it appears I miss 4-8 outlook e-mails per day! Even stranger.... When I send a test email from my personal and corporate email... it comes through. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on or suggestions on potential fixes?
Sorry! Wrong area... will try to post in email area
Thxs
BTW....I am running 2.0 firmware still

And let me also guess - they didn't happen to mention "which" Microsoft update caused the problem so have to wonder how they came to that conclusion.
Anyhow - note the bold part in the error you've encountered - which is an error being returned by your ISP's SMTP server and has absolutely nothing to do with Outlook
Sending reports error (0x 800CCC78) Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded 452 4.7.0 (F11)
To many messages sent.
Virtually every ISP these days is enforcing some kind of limit for messages sent which could be impacting the issue. The controls can be any combination of the following
#1 - # of recipients in one message
#2 - total # of messages sent in any given hour
#3 - total # messages sent in any given day

Outlook 2003 mail delivery failed for Active Directory user
Server 2003/Exchange2003
We are using an outside company (Integra) to handle our email and only use Exchange for shared archived email.
When configuring active directory users the wizard automatically sets up email entries in the format: [email protected]
When responding to a meeting invite from outlook to a local AD user, all users receive undeliverable messages for the accounts in the format [email protected] as below...
The example below was a bounce back when I accepted the invite. The invite shows up on my calendar just fine.

other is called Mailbox - UserName - populated with folder that are and always have been empty. If I send an email to myself at [email protected] I get the following bounce back.

One common cause of this problem is that the data file(.pst) is corrupted, try running Scanpst.exe to repair the .pst file and check the result, for the detailed steps, please refer to the kb below and try the steps under
Manually start the Inbox Repair tool section:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227/en-us
We may also consider if you have set a filter on the View, since you mentioned you can still find the emails when you search for them, this is probably the reason.
Try to start Outlook with the switch "cleanviews":
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /cleanviews" in the blank box, press Enter.
This will restore the default view and all the custom views you created will be lost.

Exporting Outlook 2003 Mail to iPAD2
I have been able to sync my Outlook calendar, contacts, notes with my iPAD2, however, I can't see anyway to bring over my e-mails that I have already brought down to my compter (Windows Vista). I am not using an exchange server with Outlook. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am running XP Professional on a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop. I have the following problem(s) after the computer is up and running with Outlook open for several hours out look crashes (it will no longer receive email). I shut it down and attempt to reopen, it will not reopen properly. In order to get it to run properly I have to reboot. I have attempted to detect and repair with and without the office cd-rom, neither of which repairs the situation. When shutting down after the above happens I must manually close explorer and sometimes several other programs/applications. Does anybody have a solution?
Hi,
I'm not sure how Shift key interfered with this issue, in the Keyboard shortcuts list for Outlook, I didn't find useful information either:
https://support.office.microsoft.com/en-us/article/Keyboard-shortcuts-for-Outlook-3cdeb221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd?CorrelationId=faf8e87e-6006-4f53-bc16-744f0f4b50a3&ui=en-US&rs=en-001&ad=US
By "If I open the message by holding down the shift key everything is ok", do you mean hold the Shift key meanwhile double click on the message?
Is it possible to send one of this type of messages to us so that I can do a test?

Unable to import Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 mail
This is my first Mac. I opened Entourage and tried to import my old email archive.pst from the old PC.
However, Entourage gave a few choices of importing from another program, including Outlook Express 5. However my old email is on Express 3 and I am unable to click on archive.pst. I am unable to proceed further.
How do I import email, addresses and contacts from Express 3? Thanks

Problem in handling mail attachment by java in Microsoft outlook 2003
I have written code in Java for extracting attachment files from mail message but the same code is working with Microsoft Outlook 2000 but not working with Microsoft Outlook 2003. need solution for this problem ASAP.It is failing in recognizing boundries of attachments.
Mail API version :1.3.3_01
Part part = mimemultipart.getBodyPart(i);
String disposition = part.getDisposition();
objStatement=objConnection.createStatement();
if ((disposition != null) && (disposition.equals(Part.ATTACHMENT) || disposition.equals(Part.INLINE))) System.out.println("****Attachement found****");
rs=objStatement.executeQuery("select KNTA_ATTACHMENT_S.nextval from dual");
while(rs.next())
strAttachementId=rs.getString(1);
System.out.println("Attachement id"+strAttachementId); strFileName=part.getFileName(); System.out.println("file attach with the mail"+strFileName); attachementDir=strAttachementId.substring (strAttachementId.length()-2,strAttachementId.length());
System.out.println("Attachement dir"+attachementDir); storedFileName=strAttachementId+"_"+part.getFileName(); System.out.println("Stored filename"+storedFileName); OutputStream out=new FileOutputStream(strAttachmentPath+"/"+attachementDir+"/"+storedFileName); InputStream in=part.getInputStream();
while ((len = in.read(buf)) > 0)
{ //System.out.println("content"+buf);
out.write(buf, 0, len);
in.close();
out.close();

I'm a student in Greece and I'm interested in the way this code of yours actually works. What i really want to do is to find a way of opening e-mail attachments and extracting them to a txt file. Are there any necessary tips for that ?
I would really appreciate it if you could send me this code of yours in this mail :

[Outlook 2003] Concept message sent instead of finished mail
Outlook 2003, SBS 2011 environment (Exchange 2010).
Some of my colleagues experience a weird problem. They create or answer a message and type some text. They don't send it right away, but leave it open for a while. Such messages are save automatically every 3 minutes, stored in the Concepts folder. When
they finish and send the mail at a later time, the earlier stored concept is sent instead of the finished message.
Anybody got a clue what's causing this and how to prevent it?
SimonHi,
Are you using Internet Explorer 11? There is a know issue when using Outlook 2003 and Internet Explorer 11.
We can change the Outlook editor to Word to work around this issue.
A same topic discussed here:

Very odd one I can't pin down. There are a few people when receiving mail from my 10.5 machine in apple mail receive the email as an attachment / html link.
I sent it to my machine no problems but to others it shows as this weird attachment / link. Any ideas how to solve this.
Receivers use outlook 2003 generally and my PC version is 2003 so don't know what the option is to stop this. They all receive HTML etc.
Any ideas >I have searched all over the net and I know it is probably an issue or setting with Outlook but though somebody may have seen this or at least know what is going on.
The email is sent but is just a link / attachment for Outlook users in the email body - no text etc. They have to open it up. Asked them to check for HTML settings.
Anyone got any pointers. -
Hello,
Just recently if I write an e-mail only a part of it will be sent, especially if I delete a part of it and rewrite it.
Another time it actually sent what I decided to delete and not any of the new dialogue at all?
As you can tell this could be very embarrassing.
Help!!
Thanks AbnerchesterHi,
Try to send the email to yourself, and check if there's a difference between the one in
Sent Items and the one in Inbox.
Please also logon your Webmail/OWA, send the email and check if the issue persists.
If this issue only occurs when you send emails on Outlook 2003 Client, please run Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
We can also try to repair Office in Control Panel to check the result.

Sync Problem with Outlook 2003 Contacts
I had to replace the C: drive on my computer. I backed up all user files and settings prior to the disk replacement and restored them following the replacement. Prior to the disk replacement I had been syncing my contacts from Outlook 2003 with no problem. For reasons unknown to me the the sync process does not transfer any new additions in Outlook. It appears as though the sync process is finding an old source of data for the contact list. I have reset my iPod with no success in solving the problem. Is there any way to identify the file containg the contact sync data and either removing or resetting its' contents?
This problem doesn't lie inside of Outlook. (don't worry, there are plenty of other problems inside OutofLuck) You can set the Tools->Options->Other->Make Outlook the default.... but....
The real problem is they were lazy and used the Internet Options to determine the program that is the mail client. (Start->Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs) If you set the E-mail in there to the email program that you are actually using and not Outlook....ITunes/Outlook will have a hissy fit when you attempt to sync. (that's a technical term )
You have to set Outlook as the E-Mail program inside of Internet Options to get the sync to work properly.
(The real solution is to get them to let us designate the program INSIDE of Itunes rather than use the Internet Options setting.)
I email out of Adobe Acrobat all the time so I have to switch my email client in Internet Options to be Outlook when I sync and then back to my real mail program when I email. Stupid? Yes. Frustrating? Yes. Works? Yes. <sigh>

Within the Metadata Library Filter I often use the 'Treatment' tag to view just colour or just B&W images. I discovered that to give an image the 'Black & White' treatment stamp you needed to use the B&W section in the develop module. However I often
