OUTLOOK 2003 Synch Issue fixed by Software Plu

Anyone who visits these forums regularly will know that my major problem with my own Zen Micro has been the fact that the player , running first the 2.00.2 and then the 2..02 BETA firmwares would not synch the CALENDAR with Microsoft Outlook 2003. It would synch Tasks and Contacts though which was odd. This was a known issue when discussed with SUPPORT.
I did a software autoupdate last night and downloaded the "Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysforSure devices (version .00.8)"
(Also - the 2..02 is no longer BETA although no new download was required - see seperate thread))
The Outlook calendar synch now works correctly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU CREATIVE SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange. I'm surprised that a MediaSource download fixed it. But hey, whatever solves it

  • PC Synch 6.83 & Outlook 2003 synch

    Dear All,
after installing PC Synch 6.83 (detailled config see below) on Windows XP synchronisation with Outlook 2003 shows the following errors:
    - outlook started
    - pc synch started
    - sychronisation started
    -> all works fine
    - starting sychronisation again, synch hangs at "opening outlook database"
    - pc synch can not be aborted
Only cure is killing pc synch in task manager.
Shutting down outlook. Restart Outlook -> everything works fine again.
    Any ideas?

  • IPhone Outlook calendar synch issue

My new iPhone does synch with my Outlook 2007 calendar, but only some, not all, of the calendar items actually are copied over to the phone. When I create an event on the phone, it does synch back to the computer.
    Any idea what's happening here?

Similar, if not same, issue here, as no calendar items come across from the computer. While I run both OSX and PC, the phone uses wife's Dell running XP pro, and it's still no joy. Running latest OS and outlook patches, etc.
I would expect coders are still working on a fix...bought the phone expressly for this purpose--while the other features are great, until this is fixed, it's a rather large thorn.
If the definitive steps to a fix are arrived at, I am all ears...

  • Outlook calendar synching issues with iPhone

My work Outlook calendar does not seem to be synching up with the calendar on my iPhone. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

In that case the sync is with Exchange, not with Outlook. Both Outlook and the iPhone sync with Exchange, which is the master copy.
Which is more current, Outlook or the iPhone?

  • ITunes 6 -- Outlook calendar synch problem fixed?

I've been very frustrated that I can't synch my calendar to my Nano because it has reoccurring appointments (the dreaded "-50" error). Does anyone know if iTunes 6 fixes this bug? (I just upgraded but I don't have my iPod with me right now...)

I guess I have no reason to upgrade to 6.0 then...I'll wait for 6.01 which (if the joke called iTunes 5.0 is anything to go by) will be out this time next week.

  • BB8830 Outlook 2003 - Inbox issues

I use my blackberry for business to manage my email traffic while I am out of the office.  Our company limits the size of our in-box in Outlook.  Anytime your in-box exceeds a certain size it prevents you from sending any emails out.  You can still receive emails but no longer send anything until you reduce the size of your in-box.  So invariably when I am on the road someone sends me a file or files that cause me to go over the size limit in Outlook.  Then I am no longer able to respond to emails until I get back to the office and can reduce the size of my in-box.
What I'd like to be able to do is find a way to open an email from my BB and then have that email automatically be moved to one of my personal folders in Outlook.  If that isn't possible, then is there a way to delete email from your Outlook in-box AND your Outlook "Deleted" folder, using your BB?
FWIW I have tried setting up several different rules in Outlook but unfortunately they are client-side only so they don; work if I am not logged into Outlook.  So anytime I'm on the road they are worthless.
Hopefully I've explained this clearly....Any help would be great!
    Thank you,

  • MS Outlook 2003 and Iphone 2G calendar synching issues

    hi,
I have just recently (after a very long IPhone download) am having synch issues. Some of my appointments are on the Iphone but not seen on Outlook. I read something about a com add in but when I tried to check this and add, my outlook didn't have this option. I am very aggravated!!!! I am in sales and have many appts during the day and now I am afraid I am going to forget one if i don't check both phone and outlook.. Please help!!!!
    Janet

This is causing alot of problems no idea what percentage of windows users sync'ing with Outlook this is effecting but a lot of unhappy campers out there.
For a constantly updating discussion on this try an independent site:
http://getsatisfaction.com/apple/topics/myiphone_calendar_will_not_sync_with_outlook2007 Covers 2003 Outlook too. - (Scroll down to 16th July)
Apple although acknowledged the problem, now 2 weeks ago seem in no hurry to correct it, something to do with trying to sell MobileMe a cynic may say? Problem has mean't alot of businesses returning iphones, exchanging for Blackberries or just trying to revert back to their smartphones or ppc's.
This added to the problems of bluetooth handsfree kits not working with voicemail and 3G problems I suspect Apple are wishing they never released Firmware 2.0 and iTunes 7.7.
We are all hoping for a swift patch for this critical problem but then again we were doing that 2 weeks ago too... until then at least my XDA Orbit still works.
Repeating the appointment once so it is a reoccuring one day appointment has proved to work in the meantime - major pain though. I am testing Dionhall's fix at the moment, it sounds as if it is fixing the problem for most users. (See link above)

  • Synch Calendars IPHONE and OUTLOOK 2003: Appointments 1 hour difference

I have an IPHONE 3G, Software 2.1. I´m in Brazil, Sao Paulo, DST on. To solve the problem of 1 hour difference when I synch calendars with my outlook 2003, I had to change the Time Zone Management in IPHONE to another city, in Brasil (Recife) wich doesn´t use DST. This is OK, but do I have to make this procedure everytime I have a DST change? Does anybody know how to fix it? Version 2.2 will correct this ?

I just noticed the same thing!! i had given up on syncing my iPhone with my work computer running Outlook (only syncing to iCal at home), and then with version 2.2 i hoped that it might work better.
just synced to Outlook, and all my appointments that were on the iPhone were set to one hour earlier. Outlook time zone is set correctly, with automatic adjustment for DST. my iPhone is set to Date & Time automatic. haven't played around with resetting to manual.
i ended up adjusting all the events that were incorrect in Outlook - moving them up an hour, resynced, and now every thing is an hour late!!!
may have to give up on syncing Outlook again, and just sync with iCal.

  • Cannot synch with Outlook 2003 calendar

I have not yet been able to synch my new tour with my outlook calendar. I had an issue with an obsolete folder in Outlook that caused the synch to hang up (operation terminated) but I removed that folder. Now, the synch doesn't really get going before I get an "unknown error" message. I have restored my files and wiped the calendar clean.
I am on Verizon and am using v 5.0.1 Desktop Manager. It looks, from prior documentation, like this is compatible with Outlook 2003.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Given the events you descrive, I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install DTM to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:
KB17022 How to configure organizer applications for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Hopefully that will get things going again.

  • Synch with Outlook 2003

I recently have just purchased a BB 8110 and can not seem to configure it to synch with outlook 2003. I am getting a message that says "Runtime Error: Option's value is unacceptable. Please check option properties."  I have no idea what this means.
I have verizon yahoo as my internet and email provider. Currently, I receive my email on Outlook Express. I would like to change everything, that is, my email and address book over to outlook. I then would like to synch my BB with outlook. This way everything will be in one place. Email, calendar, contacts, memo, etc.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

  • Hot Synch ---From Outlook 2003 (just want contacts and appointments, no mail)

    Hello,
I'm 60- maybe too old to figure this out, but I sure hope not! I have a brand new m515, read the manual, and tutorial, but info on hotsynching /downloading from Outlook 2003 into my Palm is abit unclear to me. Maybe I set something up wrong. It synchs and comes up on my main PC screen fine, but doesn't transfer any info from Outlook to my Palm at all.
What did I not do right setting it up, and how can I fix it please? This is the main reason I BOUGHT the Palm.
Thanks very, very much. I have a disability and have ALOT of doctor appointments, so I need to get this to work ASAP.
    Many thanks.
    Dennis
    Post relates to: Palm m515

    Hi,
Well, after no replies on the forum, I looked for palm support, and found that for $25. I could talk to a person who I had a hard time understanding. But he did help me figure out things. Basically I uninstalled everything and reinstalled things and checked different boxes for downloads/synch'ing etc. So far, so good. I see why the resolution of the screen is mentioned by many...but as long as I have it in larger or bold font, I can see what I need to see. Besides, the Palms that seem to have great screen resolutions are, like most of the other PDA's, alot more money!
I thank you for the reply. At this point (crossing fingers) all is working fine, synch'ing fine and accurately, so I will be easy with it and hope it stays that way. I bought screen protectors for it and a leather clip on carrier to protect it. I hope it stays functional and reliable for some time.
Thanks again for the offer to help. I did, by the way, download the latest version of Desktop and am using that now.
    Best regards,
    circawdm

  • HTML in body issues/ Outlook 2003 displays HTML as attachement/PDFs

Hi, I have a requirement to use email bursting to send out a PDF with a UPS ARS return label in it. We also send out plan HTML update emails for BI Publisher that we want to appear in the body of the email.
I'm having two problems. Before we applied patch 9501440 (which replaces patch 6135146 for BI Publisher 5.6.3 on Oracle EBS 11i) my test PDF attachment emails came across as their body being in a file called bodyText.txt as an attachment. Applying the patch fixed this issue but now our regular HTML emails which should be in the body don't work properly when received from Outlook 2003 (which is the version we're on). The HTML appears as an attachment. There's another patch for this but it's bundled as the latest roll-up for the standalone XML Publisher Enterprise Edition so I don't think we can apply it. I've opened a SAR with Oracle but they so far do not have a solution.
Does anyone know of a solution for this problem? Also, is there a way to use a template for the HTML body and another template in the same email to produce a PDF attachment. We're concerned that rendering the shipping label in HTML may cause it to not format properly when printed by end users in the field.
I can't imagine that what we're trying to do is that out of the ordinary...
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have searched all over the net and I know it is probably an issue or setting with Outlook but though somebody may have seen this or at least know what is going on.
The email is sent but is just a link / attachment for Outlook users in the email body - no text etc. They have to open it up. Asked them to check for HTML settings.
    Anyone got any pointers.

  • Error when trying to configure sync between Outlook 2003 and Blackberry Desktop Software 4.6

I am unable to configure the Blackberry Desktop Software (version 4.6) to sync with my Outlook 2003.  I used to have an older version of the desktop software and it worked just fine.  I got a new phone and updated the software and am unable to configure the sync.  I get the following message when I try to configure it: "Runtime Error: folder is no longer part of the system data source or the folder could not be found."
Please help.  I need these to sync.

HI and Welcome to the Forums!
I suggest trying a clean DTM uninstall:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
followed by reinstalling from scratch. You should be able to go to the latest v5.0 with Outlook 2003...it's available here:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/#tab_tab_overview
    Cheers!

  • Error Code 0x82bc1095 trying to map folders in Address Book synching with MS Outlook 2003 SP3t

Help please. My BB Curve 8900 OS v5 has suddenly stopped synchronising with my MS Outlook 2003 SP3. It gets as far as address book then stops, giving error message " One or more configured folders is not availablr. Update mapping field and try again". Configuring my organiser, when I click on a tab I get another message saying "No available Message stores". I click on OK and get the tabbed page opern but the mapping folders field is empty and greyed out.
If I click on Map Fields, I get another error message "Error encountered. Error code 0x82bc1095"
No synchronisation takes place at all.
I am far from technically minded, say about one step above being a Luddite. Can anyone please advise me?

Thanks for your suggestion, but things have moved since then. I tried swapping my mapisvc by changing the extension to 'old' and running the repair, but this did not recreate a mapisvc.inf file, so I changed the extension back to inf. I also uninstalled Outlook Connector as other threads have suggested.
However another thread suggested resetting the organiser using the reset settings button.  I did this, but the DTM will not now let me set up synchronisation with my Outlook. Outlook is shown as an option, along with Yahoo and ASCII.
It just lets me go through the process but does not produce a tick in the appropriate box at the end.
I did tell it to synch with Yahoo to see if it would take and it does, but when I try to change it to Outlook it does not register the change (leaving it as Yahoo). I have to select 'none' to clear the tick.
You can probably tell that I'm useless at this sort of thing and I'm getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I've had numerous problems ever since I upgraded the device software. I think that if I ever get this working again, I will not do anything else.
Hope you can help an old duffer and thanks again for your input.

  • Palm One v. 4.14 desktop software- instructions to sync contacts into Outlook 2003?

I am running Palm One, version 4.1.4.  This is very old.  I would like to bring contact information over to Outlook 2003.  I do not want to bring the contacts over one by one in V-card format.  I want to import all contacts at once into Outlook 2003.  I read a previous posting regarding this ( http://forums.palm.com/t5/Windows-HotSync/Synch-Palm-4-1-4-desktop-with-Outlook-2003-calendar-and-co... ) but was unable to make the suggested fix work.

Did you hotsync with palm desktop then switch to sync with Outlook. To switch to sync with Outlook.  On your computer click on start or push the windows button. Select all programs than select the Palm folder. Select PIM Conduit Sync and select Sync with Outlook. Did you try this. I am guessing here because you did not give a whole lot of info on your problem and why you can not make it work.
