  • Forms and Czech special characters

    Hello everybody,
I created a form to update calendar events. I used Czech language to made labels of inputs in the form. Czech special characters aren't display correctly. Others applications, pages and CAs are OK. Just I have problems with forms. The characters are replaced with senseless characters and if I save the form again, the sensless characters are added. So I have longer and longer strings there.
I found that the labels are saved in the table "WWA_FORM_ITEMS$". So I changed them directly in this table. But you know, it's annoying.
Does anybody knows if there is more comfortable solution?
    I'm using Portal 3.0.8 and database 8.1.7.
Thanks for any answer. You can use also this address: [email protected]
    Petra :)

    again.
    Hi Petra,
i've had the same problem with german characters. As far as I know it is a bug
(either in Portal or in Interner Explorer).
You can use Netscape to design your forms or (that's how I do it) use the
    html equivalent for your letter. For example instead of "ä" (or d) use "& a u m l ;"
(without the blanks - I hope that this will be displayed correctly).

  • Powershell and Outlook 2007, trying to delete messages in a folder older than date

I was hoping to get a powershell script that would do the following
    1) Connect to outlook 2007
    2) Go to Mailbox folder (not an inbox subfolder) called 'Processes'
    3) Delete all email from that folder older than 3 days old
I did some searching, I have found very useful things like how to empty a deleted items folder.  I can even display all messages in that folder using this script snippet.  But whenever I try to filter it down to email older than 3 days old, it blows up on me.  I was attempting to use a | Where-Object pipe to reduce it and there are thousands of messages in that folder.
    $outlook = New-Object -ComObject Outlook.Application
    $olFolderInbox=6
    $n = $outlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    $f = $n.GetDefaultFolder($olFolderInbox)
    $mailbox = $n.Folders.Item($f.Parent.Name)
    $folder = $Mailbox.Folders.Item("Processes")
    $folder.Items
    #Clean out any open connections
    $outlook = $n = $f = $mailbox = $folder = $null;

I thought I might offer another solution for this.  I came across this post looking to do the same, but I found it didn't always delete messages.  Based on some other information on another site I was able to come up with a modified version.
The two other sites I referenced were:

    $folderPath = "FolderName"
    #Filter older than 7 days
    $olderThan = (get-date).AddDays(-7)
#Set format of date to use
$dateFormat = "g" # This will base on time to do just date choose "M/dd/yyyy"
    #Create filter
    $sFilter = "[LastModificationTime] < `'$($olderThan.tostring($dateFormat))`'"
    $outlook = New-Object -ComObject Outlook.Application
    $olFolderInbox=6
    $n = $outlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    $f = $n.GetDefaultFolder($olFolderInbox)
    $mailbox = $n.Folders.Item($f.Parent.Name)
    $folders = $mailbox.Folders
    #Navigate to the proper folder
    foreach ($folderName in $folderPath.split("\"))
      $folder = $folders.Item($folderName)
      $folders = $folder.Folders
    $Items=$folder.items
    $FilteredItems = $Items.Restrict($sFilter)
    for ($i = $FilteredItems.Count; $i -gt 0; $i--) {

  • Calendar+iCloud to Outlook 2007 - not supported calendar message . ics

    Consider this
    Two new macs
    1. MacA set up with iCLoud to sync Calendars
    2. MacB set up not to use iCloud
Test on MacA (my Wifes) used for her work, across iPhone, iMac, MBP
Send invite from Calendar on the Mac to my work address  [email protected] and reciever on Outlook 2007 from MacA
gets Name has invited you to <Event Namre> but the attached .ics enty
has name "not supported calendar message.ics"
The attached body coantains a web page screen shot to interact with icloud
In additaion the reply address is [email protected] and an unintelligble email address
This mac has iCloud as the account in Calendar
Test on MacB used for fun - not connected to any work
Send invite from Calendar onthe Mac  to my work address  [email protected] from MacB
gets Event invitation <Event Name> and  the attached .ics enty
works as expected. Accept the invite and it gets put in your Outlook calendar as you would expert
Right reply address, right behavior on reply.
Ths imac has calander accounts to use gmail.
I kind of get why. But is there anyway solve the issue with with MacA.
My wife's invites for her work will not behave correctly to whoever her clients are.
But I want iCloud to sync Calendars - and send invites properly not add all the iCloud functionality over the top

Yes it is elsewhere, however I have a Vista 32-bit that doesn't work and a Windows/7 64bit that doesn't work.  I think it's just generally "bad code" and OBVIOUSLY the person that was supposed to test it didn't.  I can't uninstall on my Vista machine because it will break all my Contacts and Calendar sharing too.  Therefore, for now, I guess I will just have to give up on sharing pictures until they get it fixed.
Which, BTW, has been an AWFULLY LONG TIME already.  I installed v2 over a week ago and Apple hasn't even acknowledged anywhere I've seen that they have an issue.
'Bout time to start sending emails to the press:  Maybe they can goad Apple into doing something.
There are several articles expounding about how great it is:  I will be replying to all I can find that it DOES NOT WORK AND APPLE DOES NOT CARE.  They sold several million new phones, all made in China, and now they are fat, dumb and happy.

  • When I go to my outlook 2007 I get a message that says my MobileMe services has quit running

Got the new IPAD Air trying to link calender to my Outlook 2007 calender through Cloud. When trying to open outlook to get e-mail on my PC get a message that my MobileMe services are not working.  After poping up 2 time and I close each one the mail finally comes up?

    Hello, bjh1216.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try uninstalling the MobileMe control panel, iCloud control panel and reinstalling the iCloud control panel.  Once this is done test adding your Outlook calendar to iCloud.

  • Importing Windows Outlook 2007 email to Mac Mail using Thunderbird Workaround Looses Some Messages

After being away from using a Mac for 5 years I'm back with an iMac.
I found this workaround to import Outook 2007 emails to Mac Mail using Thunderbird on the PC http://www.trickyways.com/2010/08/how-to-transfer-emails-from-outlook-to-apple-m ail/
On the PC Thunderbird imports all my Outlook messages correctly and all are there.
Then when I import the resulting Thunderbird mailboxes to Mac Mail some messages are being lost. The directory structure for my mail folders imports correctly, just that some messages are missing.
There are earlier posts here saying Eudora Mailbox Cleaner worked for people but this wont run on Mountain Lion.
So has anybody got any ideas on how the get  all my Outlook e-mails to the Mac without losing anything?
What about software like Outlook2Mac, does it work fully or will I still have the same issue of some lost mail?
Can't believe I am having this problem migrating Window to Mac, you'd think it would work perfectly and not put people off from switching.
    Cheers.

Okay I slept on it and had a brain wave.
I set up iCloud Mail on Outlook 2007. Then copy messages from my Outlook Inbox to iCloud Inbox.
On the Mac copy the messages from iCloud Inbox to a folder On My Mac so they never get lost if I delete the iCloud account.
Playing about with it and it seems to work fine. Any reason why it could cause issues?
I love it when a workaround comes together!

  • Can't delete messages using delete key in Outlook 2007

After upgrading to Exchange 2010, we are seeing an intermittent problem where users in Outlook 2007 can't delete messages from their inbox using the delete key.  Opening the message and clicking delete from there will delete it from the inbox.
They can also drag the messages from the inbox to deleted items.
The issue comes and goes during the day.  One minute delete will work and then it won't and then it will again.
    Thanks,
    Crystal

    Hi Crystal,
How many uses have the issue?
Did you check the Outlook add-in or Anti-Virus application?
Please check whether there is any error/warning event in the Event Viewer.
Please recreate the Outlook profile for user if possible.
Please try to run the cmdlet New-MailboxRepairRequest.

  • Can not import Outlook 2007 .CSV or .PST files into Outlook 2013 on Win 8.1 64 bit

I have a new computer (Sony VAIO Pro 11 Ultrabook) with a brand new install of Win 8.1 - 64 bit and MS Office 2013 Professional Plus.  Everything works fine EXCEPT I can not import my contacts or calendar from Outlook 2007 Win 7 - 32 bit into the
.msn folders in each case.  I can open .pst files in Outlook 2013 but they open in a local file and when I copy and paste them into the Exchange ActiveSync .msn contact and calendar files so that they will sync with Outlook.com Outlook 2013 crashes.
It can't even be reopened unless the wireless is turned off, and then you have to create a new data file as a default and then delete the old account and re-establish it.  I have tried using the import functions as well with both
.CSV and .PST files that were exported from Outlook 2007 and an error message stating that this is not supported comes up.  I have also tried to turn on sync with my iPhone to see if the files will sync from the phone through Outlook.com and nothing happens
there either - no sync on the web and nothing at the PC.  Email works fine after adding the account again etc.
None of the procedures on the forums work (open PST file in the local folder then copy/paste, drag/drop, or move the files) so please don't respond with those links.  All result in crash.  Does anyone at MS know what's up with their latest
    and greatest SW?
    Thank you for your assistance.

Import the calendar and contacts in Outlook.com. For contacts, export from Outlook as csv and import into Outlook by choosing the Other option (https://people.live.com/import/other?biciid=ImportCatalog)
You'll need to save the calendar as an ics file to import it. Select the calendar folder, the File, Save as an save as an ics.

  • Exchange 2013 - Outlook 2007 - Server name GUID

    Hi Guys.
I am hoping someone can shine some light on something for me.
Right now I have the following with roles.
    1 x Exchange 2010 - MBX & CAS
    1x Exchange 2013 - MBX
    1 x Exchange 2013 - CAS
    Mix of Outlook 2007 & 2010
I migrated a user from Exchange 2010 over to Exchange 2013 and the process went fine. Email flow is working, OWA and Active Sync again working ok.
However when we opened Outlook 2007 it displayed a message to say an Administrator had made changes and we needed to restart Outlook. No issues there.
Outlook connected up fine and everything works. However when you look in the mail profile for the Exchange server name i see something like
    [email protected]
Also Outlook Anywhere is ticked and when you untick it from the client and then open it again it comes back.
Are the above items of migration?

    Hi,
RPC is no longer a supported direct access protocol. This means that all Outlook connectivity must take place using RPC over HTTP (also known as Outlook Anywhere).
Outlook clients no longer connect to a server FQDN as they have done in all previous versions of Exchange. Outlook uses Autodiscover to create a new connection point comprised of mailbox GUID, @ symbol, and the domain portion of the user’s primary SMTP
    address.
To expand on this a little bit, I worked an issue with a new Exchange 2013 environment for 3 days before figuring out that you do NOT specify a server name where it asks for it in Outlook, you use the format mentioned above.
For reference, I received a very particular error from testconnectivity.microsoft.com that made no sense until I discovered the server name format.  If a test fails with a 404 HTTP Not Found error and an X-CasErrorCode of MailboxGuidWithDomainNotFound,
this is most likely your problem.  Its very frustrating that Microsoft does not have it documented anywhere exactly what this error means, would have saved me a lot of time and energy.

  • Outlook 2007 getting error when books the resources

    Hi Guys,
I have the very interested problem here. We have two offices, A and B. Each office has a couple of meeting rooms as resources listed in GAL. When office A users tried to book office A meeting rooms from outlook 2007, they got the error message
You marked "xxxxx" as a resource. You cannot schedule a meeting with "xxxxx" because you don't have permission for that account. Either enter the name as a required or optional attendee or talk to your administrator about giving
    you permission to schedule "xxxxx"
But when I login as the same user on another laptop which has outlook 2010 installed, there is no problems to book the same room at all. And when I tried to book the room in office B with outlook 2007, no problems. Comparing the settings of those two rooms
from exchange side, there is no difference. Same problems happened in all office A resources, but no effect on office B.
PS 1. Not try ask office B users book the room in office A yet.
         2. tried the different ways to book the room from Outlook 2007, and same error message at the end.
Any idea to get it fixed?
    Regards,
    David

    Hi,
Please note, it suggests to change the permission to Editor, that's because the resource mailbox requires Editor permissions for the delegate or manager that tries to modify the appointment items from the resource mailbox.
By the way, I found this:
    http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/261812-exchange-2010-meeting-room-permissions
Try the suggestion mentioned in that thread:
Try creating a profile for one of the resource rooms you are having problems with. Then log into that profile with Outlook. In Outlook navigate to Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Calendar Options -> Resource Scheduling -> If any of the
checkboxes are checked, uncheck them, then on one of the users who got the error, now try to book the resource and see if it still errors out.
    Thanks,

    Dear Graham
I am already big fan of yours and using mail to many Addin from years from word 2007 to Word 2010 :) and still loving it and I use it for access re-authorization from Lines for application accesses . I tried and finally got understanding of the Extract to
mail Addin and after tweaking excel - Text To columns and other few things finally i was able to get the required data - from morning to now :) I am happy to see your provided guidance
Thanks alot - by the way why your Mail to many add-in is so slow now these days :) previous versions usually help me send 1000 emails in 10 minutes now it takes long time :)

  • How can I export Outlook 2007 contacts to Leopard Address Book application?

    Hi,
I just bought a MAC and I want to get rid of my PC, but first i want to export my CONTACTS from my Windows MS Outlook 2007 and import them in Leopard Address Book application.
Any way I can do that ?
    Many thanks !

I don't know if doing it with single vcards is the way you want to have it. This can be a quite big task when having many contacts.
In Outlook You can export them as text file. You got to +File - Import and Export+. In the assistent you choose "Export to file". Then you choose "comma seperated (Windows)" In the next step you mark your Contacts folder. Then you choose where you want to save your output file. (I mountet my Documents folder on the mac and saved it there). Finish this assistent.
Now on the mac you open AdressBook. +File - Import - text+ file and choose then your .csv file. Now in the AdressBook a import window opens where you can set all the fields matching to where Outlook stored the information. But basicly it should work without doing there something. Then you can import all Your Outlook contacts in one run.
    Hope this helps You!

  • Acrobat Pro XI - "Failed to Export" when exporting Shared Mailbox Folders to PDF in Outlook 2007 - any solution?

When trying to export a Shared Mailbox folder in Outlook 2007 to PDF, messages are failing consistently.
We are using the latest and greatest Adobe Acrobat XI.
It will export a little bit of the folder and then fail the rest of the items.
There are approximately 929 items in the folder, and about 237 exported before the failures started happening.
    Any advice would be great!

Bill - there is a typo above. Customer is using Acrobat X, not XI.
When we tested, we upgraded the office suite to 2010 and it worked with XI. We will just have to get him both upgraded. This hopefully should resolve the issue.
I will check back in with the results.

  • Is there a quick way in Outlook 2007 (using Acrobat Pro X) to change the setting for including/excluding attachments when exporting email ?

I have to export Outlook 2007 email a hundred times a day. Most of the time I do not want the attachments included with the email because I have to save them off to various directories and do not want or need to double up the storage space. However, every couple days, there is an email that I have to save with the attachments. So I have to go into the Adobe settings, change to include attachments. Save the email. Go back into settings, change it back to not include the attachments.
Is there a way - shortcut key, ctrl-alt combinataion, something, that will allow me to save that one email every couple days with attachments without having to go into the settings?
I am using Outlook 2007 with Adobe Acrobat Pro X on a Windows 7 PC.
    Thanks,

    Hi Slowtorque,
There isn't a shortcut but you can use the options in conversion settings to toggle whether to include attachments or not:
