Outlook 2007 sync problems

I've been able to sync my iPod touch to my Outlook 2007 calendar in the past.  I went oversea and reset my iPod to the new timezone.  Now that I'm back in the states, all my contacts on my iPod are set to the wrong time zone (I reset my iPod) to CDT. Example:  An appt. on my PC will be set for 6:00 p.m. but when I sync, it shows up on my iPod at 1:00 a.m. the next day (7 hours ahead of CDT).  I've tried restoring my iPod and that didn't help when I synced my calendar again.
Please help.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007 sync problems

Since my company recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 my E51 has been unable to sync via Mail for Exchange. It was working fine until then.
Whenever I start Outlook on my PC I get a message that mobile phone tools (specifically the 'Outl97.dll' file) cannot be loaded, has been disabled, and I need to gat an update.
I have tried to load a general software update but received a message that the phone is not supported.
    Any ideas???

When you did the upgrade to 2007 did your IT dept. re-enable the Outlook Web Access?
This is necessary for the Mail for Exchange to work correctly, if it has been enabled check the address as it might have changed too.
Also check to see that you have the latest version of MFE installed by visiting http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com

  • Outlook 2007 Sync Issues with Calendar and Contacts

I have an original iPhone and since the last iTunes update I can no longer sync my Contacts and Calendar in Outlook 2007 with my iPhone. The separate calendars are no longer showing in iTunes as a sync option only the sync all is available. When I plug in my iPhone to sync it will set in the syncing status for one to two hours and has not finished syncing since this update. I have reinstalled Outlook 2007, I uninstalled and re-installed iTunes, I have reset the sync history and any other fixes I have been able to find on the discussion boards. Does anyone know of a resolution to this problem?

I'm having similar problems with both yahoo and google on both my and my wife's Pre 2s. Yahoo calendar sync seemed to be working fine a few weeks ago but now absolutely refuses to do anything on my wife's phone (won't even seem to delete the account properly) and only shows a few things on mine. I've tried with different accounts, removing them, deleting the permissions on the yahoo website, the aeroplane mode trick, and restarting the phone. But the same problem. Phone just says it's syncing for long periods of time but then shows nothing for it. I must have removed and added accounts about 30 times in the last 2 weeks.
Google not syncing back from phone to cloud at all.
This is pretty annoying - I had better functionality on my old treo 650!
    Anyone have any answers?

  • IPhone to Outlook 2007 sync

I've lost all pst files for contacts and calendars in Outlook following a crash and recovery disc procedure but they still exist on iPhone.
I want to transfer them across into Outlook 2007. I tried it once through iTunes and only succeeded in deleting all 280 contacts which was horrific until I performed an iPhone restore and got them back.
Does anyone have an idea on how i could achieve this please? I'm scared of trying again. Thank you in anticipation.

It is possible in principle. I have a similar problem. I'm moving from one Laptop to another and can't transfer the outlook content directly. I was hoping to get the content from the iPhone (in my case an iPod touch). I was succesfull on a parallels Windows XP setup with a brand new Outlook 2007 and iTunes 8.2.
Trying the samething on my main Windows XP laptop where I'm using an upgraded Outlook 2007 (originally used to be Outlook 2000) and an newly installed iTunes 8.2. it doesn't work. The sync goes for every but neither contacts nor calender entries do show up in Outlook. Trying the same procedure with another Windows account on that machine also does not help. Unfortunately there seems to be no proper debuggin/logging setting for iTunes which is a real pitty since I think a showstopper like this is unacceptable.

  • IPhone 3G and Outlook 2007 sync Vista x64

    Hi,
I pre-ordered two iPhone 3G a week ago (still not received them) and then went online to read user opinions about it. and, honestly, the scared me.
First, battery life. I'm Samsung SCH-i760 (Verizon) smartphone user and I'm pretty happy with it. With small battery it last the whole day - some browsing, some phone calls and some software which I have installed on it like my database application which syncs with my PC (CodeWallet). I red that iPhone 3G should be charged at least twice a day otherwise you'll risk to stay without it in the afternoon.
    and
Second, most important for business-oriented user like me - I'm Outlook-addicted and use it all the time for contacts, tasks and appointments, and I do it on both smartphone and my PC with Vista 64-bit.
So my question is does anybody tested it on Vista x64? Does the Outlook problem with sync exists on this OS version also? Although MS Office 2007 is 32-bit application it work on 64-bit OS and uses different drivers/application to communicate with devices. I simply cannot spent days playing with issues like this....and will stay probably with my existing provider (Samsung is Windows Mobile 6 device and there is no problems sync anything with any Windows).
    Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help with Outlook 2007 although I use MS Exchange with Outlook 2003 SP3 with not troubles.
You cannot save files to the iPhone and I wouldn't expect this in the new 3.0 firmware. There are several apps that allow you to save/access files from your home computer or a cloud server. I use Box.net.

  • Vista & Outlook 2007: Sync with second XP & Outlook 2003 - The passed buffer is too small for the reply data

    Dear Community,
I'm synchronising my T3 with two PCs. One with Vista & Outlook 2007 and the other with XP & Outlook 2003. Both with the latest conduit & Hotsync Manager versions installed for each OS based on the availability on the Palm Website.
My problem is that when I synchronise the T3 with either PC and then try to sync it with the other I'm receiving the following error message for the Calendar:
    Outlook Calendar
The passed buffer is too small for the reply data.
    OLERR:0D-0008
    OLERR:0D-0004
    OLERR:0D-0001
    - Slow Sync
    Outlook Calendar synchronization failed
The second time the sync is successful but takes a long time and the actual problem is that it creates duplicates for records previously changed on either PC - but with a sync in between those changes, i.e. no conflict in the sense that the same record was changed in both environments since the last sync. I have configured the conflict handling to establish a hierarchy PC1-T3-PC2 but try to avoid them by synchronising as often as possible.
Has anyone come across that problem or any ideas? Can you somehow adjust the buffer size for the sync? I have been using Lotus Organiser & then the various Outlook versions for a number of years.
    Thank you
    Rainer

As they say on TV, "Doh"!!!
I figured out the problem. I started the Sync tool, selected "Settings", then "Mcrosoft Outlook" tab and then "Select Folders" button. I browsed to the proper folders in Outlook (Calendar, Tasks, etc). Select OK enough times and retried the sync.
    It worked.

  • ITunes 10.1, Outlook 2010 Sync-Problem

    Dear Apple community,
My name is Thomas, I'm 27 years old, come from Austria and i am new here.
As it´s most, I came to this forum in search of a problem solution.
Unfortunately, I have not found this solution yet, so I opened this thread.
    Here is my problem:
I use a PC with Windows 7 Business, Outlook 2010 and iTunes 10.1.
Now I would like to synchronize my Outlook contacts using iTunes on my iPhone.
But in Outlook, I have several contact folders, as well as Private, professional, etc.
With Outlook 2007, I was able to synchronize the contacts folders i want with iTunes.
In Outlook 2010 the option to select the contact folders i want no longer appears in iTunes. I can only select the option to synchronize all contacts.
    So my question:
Are there any known problems when you synchronize multiple contact folders with Outlook 2010 and iTunes 10.1?
Is there a trick, that I can see my individual Outlook contact folders in iTunes again?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Thomas

This was reported months ago, but Apple don't care enough to fix it.
If it was just Outlook 2010, I could understand the problem was with Microsoft, but I have experienced the same problem with Outlook 2007. I have even gone back to using iTunes 9.2.1.5, and still I can't sync my calendar with Outlook, which has rendered my iPod Touch useless since I have to use my old iPaq Pocket PC.
Had this bug been fixed, I would have bought an iPhone.

  • Outlook 2007 Sync - Changes Date !!

Hi, a real problem for me - I use Outlook 2007 for managing 4 separate calendars, each contains many different repeating yearly appointments.
All was fine until a couple of weeks ago, now say a yearly every third Mondat goes completely astray on my iPhone 4, different day and week !!
    Very frustrating indeed.
My outlook version is fine, but after a itunes sync - well it goes anywhere...
If I open the appointment on the iPhone is has the correct repeating day, but the 'yearly' box is not ticked.
    Suggestions welcome.
    Thanks vm - Peter

  • Synching Centro with Outlook 2007/Vista Problems

I hope someone can help me.
When first set up, I had no problems synching Outlook 2007 with my Centro.  All of a sudden, the phone would complete the synch but the computer would get stuck at 12 of 12 because it stopped responding.  I would then have to manually terminate Hot Synch.  Also, I would only get one synch per restart after that they could not connect.
Now, both will appear to synch as above but no data exchanges so there is no synching.  They are connected via USB.

  • Outlook 2007 syncing issues. Time not correct.

I setup a reoccuring appointment on my iPhone for every saturday 8:00PM to 9:00PM through August. When I synced through iTunes, the appointment appeared in Outlook through August, but set to 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Four hours off. I added another test event in Outlook from 8:00pm to 9:00pm and then synced back to the iphone, it showed up as 12:00am to 1:00am.
Both are set to EST (the iPhone set to Boston, USA)...
    Any ideas?

I had a similar experience when I saw several older meetings that were previously setup in Outlook 2007, that had originated from an Exchange server.
These meetings did not appear correctly on my Palm Treo 680, which is what I have upgraded from (to iPhone). These Exchange-originated meetings never synced properly to my Treo 680 - always came over many hours off of the correct meeting time, though on the correct day.
When I first synced Outlook '07 to my new iPhone the meeting on the iPhone was wrong as well. However, I then modified the meeting on the iPhone and re-synced and (unlike the Treo 680) the meeting is now correct in both places.
So, I am happy with iPhone.
I am holding my breath however for my next business trip to another time zone. For some reason Palm could not get this to work correctly on the Treo.

  • Outlook 2007 repair problem

I connect outlook 2007 with MAPI to Exchange 2010 and it's ok, i can sent mail and receive mails, but when i go to Account Option  and i make repair profile is not find, this happen in some users not all.
Why repair works for some users and for someone not

    Hi,
The Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) is designed to help repair problems that are associated with personal folder (.pst) files. The
Inbox Repair tool is included on the first Microsoft Office CD-ROM. You can try to find the file referring to
    KB 272227.
Besides, you can check the result when you recreate outlook profile.
If it doesn’t work, please let us know.
    Thanks

On same computer, one account log in with MAPI protocol and when i use repair is all good, but other account on same computer when use repair repair gets error, i don't know where to point the problem

  • Outlook 2007 Sync

I haven't been able to sync my Outlook Calendar or Contacts since I installed Outlook 2007. While iTunes tells me that they are sync'ed, the calendar is completely blank and the contacts are the old ones that remain from before the upgrade to 2007. Does Apple plan to correct this? Is there some other way of getting the information across?
    Thanks for any help!

I've got no idea if Apple plans to correct it or not, but you can always just have both Outlook 2007 and 2003 (or whatever other version you have) on your computer at the same time.

  • Outlook 2007 Sync troubles

I'm trying to help my father sync his Palm device to the Outlook on his new system.
    Windows XP
    Palm Z22
    Outlook 2007
    PalmDesktopWin62
I have also tried 414 and the original disk none of which seem to want to work.   What I have noticed is that if I sync to the PalmDesktop 62 and 414 seems to work.
    But.......
I can't get Outlook to sync because I can't establish a connection.   If I go to  "Start>All Programs>Palm>PIM conduit sync>Sync with Outlook" and select it I get the following window.
    Header: Microsoft Outlook conduits
Message:  Microsoft Outlook is not installed on this computer.
Ok???   Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 opens just fine, thus why doesn't the palm sync software recognize it?

Post relates to: Treo 650 (Sprint)

    Hello rhaw...
Thanks for the help....   Still not working....  I have loaded and reloaded several times.   I loaded the original from the CD and upgraded it to both 414 and 62, no luck.   Deinstalled all the appropriate software and loaded only 414, and only 62 and neither worked.   All the while getting the same message.   I'm not getting the choice to select Outlook from the installers???   I must say I'm finding that odd.   The original CD doesn't seem to have the choice.   The 414 installer, downloaded from the web, says that I will be given the choice to make the change at the end of the installation process but the installer finishes and quits without giving the choice.   The 62 installer, down loaded as well, also doesn't seem to be offering the option to make the change.   Their both automatically setting for the Palm Desktop
The Outlook software comes pre-installed by the IS department at his company.   So I'm beginning to wonder if it might be tied to how they installed the Outlook or some setting in Outlook that is causing the Palm software not to recognize it.   I read on the forum about Outlook user files possibly being in some sort of folder or individual folders... is it possible that the Palm software is expecting something installed one way and that they, his IS, have it installed another?   If so, what should I be looking for, and how should it be.
Outlook is working on its own just fine.   They, his IS, don't want to support his palm, and I don't have the necessary information on their laptop, i.e. Microsoft Office Outlook, OS, etc to be deinstalling and reinstalling it.   The best I'm going to be able to do is probably look for the appropriate files being in the expected location.   If this is not correct then locate where the appropriate files are and see about either moving them or create aliases to them in the correct location for the Palm SW to find?
Is their an interface loaded by the Palm SW that when opened allows the selection / choice between Palm Desktop or Outlook?
