Outlook 2007 /Vista Updates

On February 24th I did some Vista updates now things are not going so well.
I am continually getting the following errors and I have read the forums and I have the lastest Palm Desktop software and have the latest Outlook 2007 updates. Therefore I am having problems figuring out what has cause the synching process with these errors. All other Outlook items are synching just not the Calendar.

Some things with Acrobat 8 and Word 2007 don't work (I had niggly issues like this until I updraded Acrobat) -- Not a supported combination. With Office 2007 Acrobat 9 is recommended.

  • Error when syncing iPhone with Outlook 2007 since updating iPhone to 1.1.2

Since updating to 1.1.2 I receive this message "OutlookSyncClient has stopped working". I am running Vista Business with Outlook 2007. Prior to updating to 1.1.2 I had no issues. I have tested this running iTunes 7.4.3.1 and 7.5.0.20. My contacts sync with no issues, only my calendar does not work. Has anyone else ran into this issue and have you found a resolution/work around?

  • Outlook 2007 not updating from ical feed

I have removed and re-added the iCal feed multiple times.
When I click on a link to the feed it downloads and can open in outlook 2007 (SP3 MSO) but this does not automatically update
I have run; 1) Scanpst, 2) The original Install CD Office repair tool. I still cannot get the iCal feed to update automatically. Is there another tool I can use?  I have two feeds I want to use. Neither is working (one the feeds has worked
    previously).

    Hi,
Did you tick "Update this subscription with the publisher's recommendation..." when adding the calendar?
Please also set the Send/Receive group to let it send/receive more frequently to check the result.

  • Syncing with Outlook 2007, Vista OS

Hi. A brief intro before my question. Recently I've tried Outlook for XP on my computer which uses Vista and I wasn't able to sync the Outlook calendar with my curve. I've looked at Outlook 2007 and it is certified for use on Vista so I anticipate my curve should sync with outlook. My question is; has anyone who uses Vista OS and has Outlook 2007 had any issues? Thanks

I came to this forum because of issues in an effort to sync my BB Curve 8520 to my Outlook 2007 that is on a computer with Windows Vista
I just got out of my BB Pearl 8220 which had MANY issues. I always do Back-ups and synchronize the phone to the computer
When I did the restore to the 8520, I wound up with my contacts, but they are TRIPLED. This is terrible because I have so many, and I want to sync with my Google account.
If someone knows of a fix/repair/work around, PLEASE say something as soon as possible!

  • Outlook 2007 after updates to iTunes and iOS: Task 'iCloud - Sending' reported error (0X80004005): 'The operation failed.'

Since updating to the latest iTunes and the latest iOS, I am now unable to send calendar invites, which is what I use to keep my personal calendar, iCloud calendar, Thunderbird calendar, and two different work address calendars in sync.
I've traced the problem to the inability of Outlook 2007 to send emails after the update.  I get the above error message when I try.
One thing I noticed is that the location of my iCloud inbox and outbox changed to a location under my Personal Folders as opposed to where it used to be, under iCloud.  I think the issue is with the creation of different *.pst files and their locations, and the settings that Outlook 2007 automatically picked up after the iTunes and iOS updates.
I'd like to fix this, but am not quite sure how.  I think it has to do with not being able to set the data file I believe to be the proper item as the Default.
I assume others have also experienced this issue.  If so, has anybody managed to solve it yet?  If you have, please share your solution.

       Mary

  • Synching Centro with Outlook 2007/Vista Problems

I hope someone can help me.
When first set up, I had no problems synching Outlook 2007 with my Centro.  All of a sudden, the phone would complete the synch but the computer would get stuck at 12 of 12 because it stopped responding.  I would then have to manually terminate Hot Synch.  Also, I would only get one synch per restart after that they could not connect.
Now, both will appear to synch as above but no data exchanges so there is no synching.  They are connected via USB.

  • Can't Sync Anymore! Vista/Outlook 2007 multi PCs

I have a centro that I primarily sync with a vista business 32 machine with Outlook 2007 at work.  I also copy/sync the data to my computer at home (vista premium 32/Outlook 2003).  I always overwrite my data on the computer at home as my business PC/contacts/calendar are most important to me.
I have all the latest desktop software & the Outlook 2007 conduits updater at work.
Everything was going swimmingly until about 2 weeks ago when I updated on my computer at home.  The next time I synched at work I received an error message that said something like, "palm device has synched to another computer, there may be duplicates of files" or something of the sort.  Now my calendar & contacts will no longer synch with either computer, but everything else still synchs (program installs, media, etc...).
The sync settings appear to be set up correctly (synchronizing calendar & contacts to outlook), but it never even attempts to synch the calendar & contacts anymore.
    HELP!!!  I'm at wits end!

When you sync to your PC's is there any type of error in the log file. If so can you post it in here? Also as a test on your work PC got to hotsync manger-->settings-->applications-->contacts or calendar (either one)-->configure-->settings--> and tell me what is checked or check sync to multi PC's.
If this does not help let me know

  • Problems with Outlook 2007 synchronization

Are there any known issues with  Palm Desktop 4.1.4 and HotSync Manager (Windows) and Outlook 2007? I just upgraded a users computer and it now has Office Outlook 2007 installed on it. I installed the Palm m500 and the Palm desktop s/w & hotsync manager setting the the conduits (datebook, calendar, notes, tasks, contacts & addressbook) to "Desktop overwrites handheld". It seems to run smoothly; at the end the log states that hotsync was successful but the calendar on the PDA remains unchanged.

I am running windows 7 and Outlook 2007, after updating to the latest verision of iTunes (ver 11.1.4.62) I get a popup box that reports MobileMe services could nt be started. This happens twice, I click close and Outlook comes up. I did not have this issue before I updated iTunes.

MobileMe was discontinued at the end of June 2012. The control panel should be removed if still present. See HT2992: MobileMe: Uninstalling the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows for details.

  • Outlook 2007 Category Colors

The Categories in Outlook 2007 show up as blank colors and say (not in Master Category list) after them, so the correct name of the category appears just not the color or the entire category list or whatever like it shoul. It has before I don't know why it stopped working. I have Win7 64-bit, HotSync 7.0.2, Palm Desktop 6.2.2
Hope that is enough to get a solution, thanks if you help.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I tried this on a Centro Sprint device and it synced the colors as well as the category as well. If I may, when you installed palm desktop did you also install the outlook 2007 conduit update? If not this could be why. If you go here and download and install the 2007 conduit update it may start to work for you then. http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/outlook2007/outlook2007update.html. Also what Palm Desktop version are you using. If you open palm desktop then go to help and then about Palm Desktop and you should see the version there.
Message back so we can get this fixed for you
Edit: My coworker got the same thing happening as yours..But the category came over but no color on them for him what he explain as an extra step will be fine once you have it setup after that you wont have to change anything.

  • Outlook 2007 Hangs for ever

I just installed OS5 on my IPhone 4.
    Bad News.
    Lost all my sent mail
    Lost all my Music.
Lost Pictures that I had in diffrent folder names.
Then I loaded iCloud on my PC windows 7 outlook 2007 hung forever.
This all has the feel of Microsoft Bugs out the box Software not the the feel Apple safe software.
Maybe Apple's days of good software is being pushed by Google!!!!
    Good news
Like the zoom on the camera but its at the cost of image resolution.
No stars for this bit of code!!

Step 1: Disable the addins in Outlook 2007:
On the Tools menu, click Trust Center, and then click Add-ins.
In the Add-ins box, identify the add-in that you want to enable or disable and note the Add-in type located in the Type column.
Select the Add-in type in the Manage box and then click Go.
Select or clear the check box for the Add-in that you want enable or disable and then click OK.
Step 2: If you have bigger PST/OST files then it may take a while to load - during the time, it may become unresponsive. Just for testing, remove the PST file and reopen the
Step 3: Also you can try opening the Outlook in Online mode (if you currently use Outlook in Cached mode)
Step 4: Make sure Outlook 2007 is updated with Service Pack 2 - its known for performance improvements. FYI: you can refer the following blogpost: http://blogs.msdn.com/deva/archive/2009/04/28/download-microsoft-office-suite-service-pack-2.aspx
Step 5: You can control the running add-ins - which needs to run: By default, Outlook allows any installed add-in to run. You can restrict Outlook to run only those add-ins that are digitally signed by applying the Warnings for signed macros; all unsigned macros are disabled setting to add-ins, as follows:
On the Tools menu, click Trust Center.
In the left pane, click Macro Security.
Click Warnings for signed macros; all unsigned macros are disabled.
In the left pane, click Add-ins.
Select the Apply macro security settings to installed add-ins check box.
You can try the above steps and let me know whether this resolves the issue or not?

  • Outlook 2007 hangs when clicking the To button in a new email

    Hello,
I have a person whose Outlook 2007 hangs whenever they create a new email and click the To button to bring up the GAL.  By hangs, I mean it becomes unresponsive and you have to End Task the new email, which causes Outlook itself to crash.  I've tried the following:
    Repairing Office
    Uninstalling/Reinstalling Office
    Creating a new profile
The only thing that fixes it is running Outlook.exe /safe, but that's not an acceptable long term solution.  I have tried disabling all add-ons and running Outlook normally, but it still hangs.

  • Outlook 2007 not opening after Windows Vista Update 25-Aug-09 [Qosmio G50]

I thought that posting my experience just now might be helpful to others.
Yesterday (25-Aug-2009) my Outlook 2007 was working perfectly. I had downloaded & installed Outlook Connector 12.1 because I'd received an e-mail from Microsoft to say that the DAV protocol used for HTTP mail would be withdrawn on 1-Sep-09. I also noticed that MS had restored the POP3 service that they closed down a couple of years ago.
So I set up the POP3 account and started working with that. All OK.
Last night when I closed down, Windows Update came in and completed on reboot this morning. Outlook 2007 wouldn't start, coming up with the message: +Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.+.
Nothing I did in that environment would enable Outlook 2007 to load, I created a new profile and that did no good.
So I went back to the System Restore Point made at the time of installing the Outlook Connector and everything sprang to life.
I had also tried the restore point that undid the Windows Update, but that didn't cure the problem either.
So, I'll see what happens when I reboot next time in case it had nothing to do with Windows Update.
    Cheers

There are many tools at the Inet, but no one of them weren't interested me, when I seeking for the solution of my trouble. Only my friend by chance offered me an one long-standing application. It enjoyed me for seconds, I presented my friend a gift and to my mind it would help in such problem also - pst email recovery.
