Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Data: %USERPROFILE%\"location on server"PS. Make backup of the file before you edit it Next create my doc if you don't have one or can't see.Now added the new location of the My docs to the Name: Personal

  • MS Outlook 2010 Add in Create pdf - does not create pdf of draft emails- Adobe Acrobat Pro X

In MS Outlook 2010 Add in Create pdf- does not create pdf of draft emails- this maybe the case, but just wanted to make sure this is normal for the program- though I guess one can print as an Adobe pdf but it does not maintain the hyperlinks of email addresses etc. the functionality is compromised in a print vs create a pdf.

Here's a workaround by the team:
Right click on the message from Explorer list view or folder view and chose the option to convert to PDF.

  • OUTLOOK 2010 error "cannot sent this item"

    Hai,
When i try to forwarding / replying via
Outlook 2010, i am getting an error "Cannot send this item" .  The error occurred only when forwarding / replying a
    particular MAILS.

We have the issue in our office from time to time, and after alot of test lately, here is what i came up with soo far
    French:
Erreur HTML: Impossible d'envoyer cet élément.
Erreur Richtext: Impossible d'envoyer cet élément.  La propriété n'existe pas.  Le champ que vous voulez modifier n'est pas valide pour ce type d'élément
    English:
HTML Error: Cannot send this item.
Richtext Error: The property does not exist.  The field you want to modify is not valid for this type of item.
    To reproduce the issue
Create a signature doing the following:
Open Word 2010, Type a word and hyperlink it to google
Insert a picture bellow, you can pick the default pictures in the pictures folder
Save the signature as .htm in your C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures folder
Create a new email and send it to yourself including your new signature and a file that isn't a .msg, lets pick a .docx file for now
From the email you've just received, transfer the email.
Insert your new signature again and resize one of your picture
While the new email is opened, the email must be saved at some point either by Outlook automaticly or manualy ctrl-s or clicking on the appropriate icon before sending the email
Send the new email, you'll get the error message after the dictionary lookup if the resize was made before saving the email, otherwise the send button won't click
Take note than if your windows resolution has bin changed to anything else than 100%, the picture will be automatically resize by inserting the signature
You must transfert the email, a reply won't create the issue
If we resize a picture and then we delete that picture before the error message, we don't have the issue
Possible solution to resolve the issue with this email:
    - Close the email and get the last save in the draft
    - Copy and past the body text, file etc in a new email
    - Delete all the pictures in the email and send it, note that you cannot add any picture after that, otherwise you'll still have the issue

    Open up Adobe Reader X

  • OAB in Outlook 2010 error "unknown error 0x8007007A" on download

    Hi all.
We have an issue with OAB not downloading with error "unknown error 0x8007007A".
Autodiscovery test doesn't show any error and seems to be correct.
The only strange to me that I can't open OAB Url http://srv.domain.local/OAB/61555bea-e998-4edf-8eac-f919879e2950/ and have got 403 error (forbidden).
Also I've check the OAB folder on server and I have there a bunch of files.
We use Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010.
What I should to do next to fix this error?

We have been battling this same problem for a number of years.  This only happens on cached mode clients.  I've seen it happen with Outlook 2010 and 2013.  We have Exchange 2007.
We can't go around and delete and recreate everyone's mail profile every day.  Whats the real solution?  The error description is "unknown" so I think that's why its so hard to pinpoint the cause.

  • MS Outlook 2010 Add in Create pdf - does not capture pictures shows as question marks

In MS Outlook 2010 the add in of Adobe PDF.
When used to create a pdf it does not print any pictures or logos in the email in Outlook. Adobe converts it into blue question marks.
This problem developed over time as it was working fine before.............please suggest..........other than a re-installation..........someone who has had this problem and worked out a solution........(not for the points only!)- please an answer, a solution or state the problem if you have experienced something similar.

Glad it worked for you. The reason to turn it on is primarily because of Security concerns. Spammers at times include a referece to a unique image when then send you an email. The idea is that if you download that image, they know that the email address is valid.
At times, this such spam also might also include inappropriate content.
If you are careful in not converting spam email, you can leave it on.

  • Outlook 2010 error - The file is corrupt and cannot be opened

    Hi experts
Im getting the error - "The file is corrupt and cannot be opened", when opening office attachments in outlook 2010.
I’ve tried disabling the protected view options in office which hasn’t fixed the issue, the only suggestion I have seen which I’m sure would work is to delete
the user profile and recreate. This seems a bit over kill to me, does anyone know what files I need to remove to fix the issue.
    Thanks

  • Outlook 2010/Error sharing Calendar: Error while preparing to send sharing message

Everyone that is connected to this exchange is receiving an error when they attempt to share a calendar in outlook 2010.  We are using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010.  The error reads:  Error while preparing to send sharing message.
Any ideas on a reason why this would be happening?

I think it may  be caused by the following reasons.
    1. Auto Discover service or outlook 2010 issue
To verify it ,you could try  sharing calendar via  OWA?
For how to manage Auto discover Service
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/aa995956.aspx
    2.Mailbox corruption issue

    3. Restrictive sharing permission assigned on the calendar.
Could you please verify if it is caused by your  sharing policies? If the User chooses to change the permission
to the following: "Anyone can view and  search for this Calendar on Office online.” You should be able to send
    them without issues.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 Error "Another version of Outlook is currently running." when clicking on a mailto link

Our company recently upgraded from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010. The mailto links on an intranet work fine on local computers running Outlook 2010 but on the terminal servers, users are getting the following error:
"Another version of Outlook is currently running. Close it and try again."
I have made sure that Outlook is the default mail client.
Home & Business Click2Run has never been installed on the terminal server.
The error happens in standard as well as safe mode.

    Hi,
What program is set as default for mailto?
Have you installed Home & Business Click 2 Run before? There is a limitation in click 2 run version that the mailto is trying to use your older version of Outlook.
If this is not the situation, try to test this issue in the safe mode.
    Click
Start, point to All Programs, and then point to
    Microsoft Office.
    Press and hold the
CTRL key, and then click Microsoft Outlook.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them.
Please also set Outlook as the default email client on the computer.
    ======================
    For Windows Vista/Windows 7:
    1.
    Click Start.
    2.
Type "default programs" in the Start Search box.
    3.
Click Default Programs under Programs in the search results.
    4.
Now click Set your default programs.
    5.
Highlight Microsoft Office Outlook or Microsoft Outlook on the left.
    6.
Click Set this program as default.
    7.
    Click OK.

    Michael Dodds

    Hi,
"Sever error 550" usually happens when you try to use an SMTP server that you do not have permissions to send through. Please try to enable the
SMTP authentication and try again. To do this, click File > Info > Account Settings > Account Settings > Double-click your IMAP account > Click
More Settings button > In the Internet Email Settings
wizard, click on "Outgoing server" tab and tick "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.
Click OK and follow the wizard to finish the change.

  • Outlook 2010 Profiles Not Creating with Exchange 2010 Backend

In an enterprise environment.  Issue has been replicated on multiple Windows Terminal Servers, with multiple accounts.
With multiple accounts have recreated the user profiles from scratch, and launched outlook 2010.  The profile does not autocreate, it was working in production about a week ago.  Windows Updates were applied for December 2014.
Does anyone know if a Local Windows Client side patch would cause Outlook 2010 not to resolve a profile correctly.  Could this be the outlook mapi rpc issue that was part of RU8.  Have searched several hundred artciles on this on google and twitter
in the last weeks time frame and cannot find anywhere online that lists excatly what a user experiences when RU8 fails.  Have not heard back from the Exchange administrator if RU8 was deployed.  There are also multiple Windows Updates for December
2014 for Office that may have caused the problem.
Might be having exactly the same issue as this guy.

Microsoft did pull/release a version #2 of an exchange patch in December which might be the root cause.

There are known issues with Outlook connections if you are using Exchange 2010 SP3 UR8 (as you have found).  You can check which update you are running by going to
Control Panel/Uninstall a Program, then click the
View Installed Updates selection (upper left).  Your
Exchange Server 2010 - Software Updates will show a definite difference between UR8 and UR8V2.  To be safe, I'd fully remove UR8 and install UR8V2 after a system restart.

  • Adding a Microsoft Exchange Accout to Outlook 2010 Error

Because of my business, I need a Microsoft Exchange account set up and I'm having the most difficult time. When I go to add an email account in Outlook and automatically set-up it fails. When I manually go to set up an exchange email it tells
me Outlook can not be online and running at the same time as adding the exchange account. When I close Outlook, go to mail in the control panel and try adding the exchange account there, it then mockingly tells me Outlook now Needs to be online and connected.
I have no idea what I could possibly do or what I am doing wrong, and there is no way I am paying $260 for Microsoft to fix a problem that should not be there in the first place. If anyone has any idea at all of what I can do to resolve this I would be entirely
    grateful!

    Hi,
According to your description, your account cannot be automatically configured.
And we can firstly try to manually configure the account:
    http://support.sherweb.com/Faqs/show/manual-configuration-guide-for-outlook-2010-exchange-2013
Please note the new content in the option server name. we can use the following command to get the GUID:
    Get-mailbox name |fl ExchangeGUID
Additionally, to narrow down the cause, I’d like to confirm more information:
    1. Check if other users come across the issue.
    2. Check if you come across the issue both externally and internally.
    3. How about the result of accessing the following URL:
    https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

  • Outlook 2010 trying to create calendar/task entries generates error "Could not save item. The connection to microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"

    Office Version:Office 2010Operating System:Windows 7
Using Office 2010 on Windows 7 syncing with Exchange email account. When I am trying to work offline I get the above error whenever I try to create anything except a new email. mail seems to work normally and other items also work normally if I am online.
Problem only seems to be during offline use.
I have tried safe mode but still get the error. have tried creating a new profile but still get the same problem.
Could this be an issue with my exchange account which is somehow mucking up my offline  folders??
At a complete loss with this one so any help would be much appreciated.
I have also occasionally seen an Outlook error along the lines of "your network adapter does not have a default gateway assigned" but am unable to reproduced this in any meaningful way.
    Many Thanks

Cached exchange mode was already marked so that was not the issue.
I have done all the usual of creating a new profile, reinstalling Outlook etc but nothing seemed to work. I also tried going back to Outlook 2007 and reinstalling Windows but same problem.
However, I am not sure if it is connected but I was useing the option in MS Live Sync to synchronise Office settings which I turned off recently and now no longer have the issue. Unfortunately I cannot remember when in the process I did this so cannot be
sure it was responsible - anyone else found this?
