Outlook 2010 not display public folder/calendar

We have a calendar in a public folder which is no longer visible when navigating through the public folder list. User which have previously opened this calendar and added to my favorites are still accessing the calendar without issue. But no one else can
open the calendar. I've tried to manually enter the path in the open shared calendar dialog and not found. How can users be accessing the calendar from an old favorite but the calendar not be visible any longer? Everyone is using Outlook 2010.

Hi,
From the description, the calendar is no longer available (been deleted or something else) in the public folder. Logically, it's not possible to access the calendar.
For these users who still have access to the calendar, I'd like to confirm if they cached the public folder to local by enabling "Download Public Folder Favorites" under Account Settings. In this case, the users may access the calendar in the cached
Public Folder Favorites. To check if these users have the "Download Public Folder Favorites" enabled, please follow:
1. Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
2. Highlight the Exchange Account and click Change button.
3. Click More Settings button and switch to Advanced tab.
4. Check if the "Download Public Folder Favorites" option is enabled.
We can try unchecking the option to verify if this issue is due to the Public Folder Favorites cache.

  • Outlook 2010 not displaying Team/Manager Calendar

I have a user that a few day ago was able to see her manager's team calendar. However Outlook will not show the calendar group any more. I have tried the following:
    1. New profile.
    2. Outlook 2013 on a different machine
    3. Verify Manager property in ADUC and ADSI
All the above steps did not let the calendar group show.  I changed her manager and then closed Outlook and reopened it.  Once I did the new manager's group showed up.  I changed the manager back to the old , proper, manager and it disappeared
    again.
I am wondering if there is a limitation on the number of direct reports that Outlook can display.  I know that there are currently 101 direct reports. Any help will be appreciated.
    Justin

    Hi Justin,
Does the old manager's Team Calendar show well in other users' Outlook?
If the issue only occurs for a specific user, please remove this user from the direct reports list of the old manager. Then add it back to have a try.

  • Outlook 2010 - Move to public folder brings an error "the folder is not available"

    Hi
we have exchange 2010 SP3 in our organization
    clients use both 2010 SP2 \ 2013 outlooks
when moving an item from the mailbox to a public folder directory the item moves successfully, and the directory is added to the recent directories under the "Move" button.
then, when I try to move another item to a public folder directory from the dropdown recent list I get the error message:
    "The folder is not available"
obviously it's available as I can do the same action manually. it happens on Outlook 2010, Outlook 2010 SP2 and Outlook 2013
    for all the users
    so it's not a profile or a user's issue
I saw many posts with the same error but they mostly talk about pst files and the solution is the kb
2405793‎ which is already included in SP2 + out users don't use pst. everything is in exchange
hope to get some answers before I open support case at MS
    Tamir Levy

    Hi Tamir Levy,
From your description, when you drag an item to public folder, it is successful. When you use the "Move" button to move an item to public folder, it occurred the above error. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
I recommend you check if the issue also exists via OWA. If the issue doesn't occur when you use OWA, please verify if the issue happens on Outlook online mode or in cached mode.
    Hope it helps.

  • Outlook 2010 not displaying images

Upgraded our MDs Outlook to 2010 and now now embedded jpg images etc that are sent to him displays.
I have tried the following without much luck:
    1. Set the Automatic download option to download automatically
    2. Made sure that show image placeholder is unticked
    I am stumped! Any help?

    Hi,
Thank you for contacting Outlook IT Pro Discussions Services.
From your description, I understand that
the embed jpg file cannot be shown in Outlook 2010. You have tried to check the Automatic download options and make sure that show image place holder is unchecked. If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free to let me know.
Based on the current situation, this issue may occur as some settings on the computer are not proper. Let’s try the steps below
    to change the settings:
    ===============
    1.
    Start,
Run (or Find in Vista) and type regedit and click okay.
    2.
Go down the list on the left hand side of the Registry Editor screen to
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security, and finally highlight
    OutlookSecureTempFolder.
    3.
On the right hand side of the screen you will see
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK3D\
Note the %USERPROFILE% may be the user’s name instead.
    4.
    Highlight and delete %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK3D\
Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if
there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know.

  • Exchange 2013 Public Folder Calendars in OWA

    Hello,
I have a Public Folder calendar that I need to publish via OWA in Exchange 2013.  I understand that you cannot view any public folder that is not mail enabled in OWA.  If I make this specific calendar mail enabled will I be able to view the calendar
in OWA?  I think I still have to convert this to a shared mailbox.  If that is the case, what are the best steps to perform that?

    Hi,
Yes I agree with Ed Crowley. In Exchange 2013 Cumulative Update 1, Microsoft have allowed to display public folders. However, two major restrictions exist. First, OWA can only display modern public folders. In other words, you have to complete your
migration to Exchange 2013 and then execute a public folder migration before OWA can be used. No access is possible to legacy public folders. Second, OWA can only display “mail public folders”, or public folders that contain “mail and post items” (as they
are referred to by Outlook). Other folders (calendars, contacts, tasks, notes, InfoPath, and journal items) are unsupported.

  • Outlook 2010 - Data File Properties/Folder Size verses Windows Explorer pst file size

I am running Outlook 2010 32bit Version 14.0.6129.5000 on a Windows PC running Windows 7 Professional.  All updates from MS are up to date.
I have several pst files I open with Outlook 2010. The size of the files displayed in Outlook are very different than what is displayed in Windows Explorer.
For example one of the pst file called "business.pst" when opened Outlook displays it under "Data File Properties -> Folder Size" that the Total Size (including subfolders) is 764,354 KB.  Windows Explorer says
the file size is 1,190,417 KB.
For some reason MS Outlook 2010 is displaying the wrong folder size.  Any ideas why this is the case?
    Thanks,
    Pat

Outlook mailbox grows as you create and receive items. When you delete items, the size of the Outlook Data File (.pst and .ost) file might not decrease in proportion to the data that you deleted, untill it has been compacted.
Normally, after you have deleted items from an Outlook Data File (.pst), the file will be automatically compacted in the background when you’re not using your computer and Outlook is running.
For an exception, when the Outlook Data File (.pst) is somehow corrupt, the compaction might not finish correctly. So the size of the Outlook Data File (.pst) file might remain the same before compaction.
To solve this, try run the
scanpst to fix the Outlook Data File (.pst) file first, after that, we can
    manually start the compact command.
When finished, compare the file size again.

  • Publishing Public Folder Calendars Exchange 2013

    Hi Guys
I'm trying to publish an exchange 2013 public folder calendar. from outlook when I go to publish it give me the following error:
The mailbox folder identity ":S4ABAQH/////LgAAAAAAAAAoEFwKAAAAAPUAAAAAAAAAVhBcCgAAAAAAAAAAGkRzkKpmEc2byACqAC/EWgMAvY9C6z7Df0uoy78J0eSm+gAARbBnPwAAAAAAADihuxAF5RAaobsIACsqVsIAAEVNU01EQi5ETEwAAAAAAAAAAByDAhCqZhHNm8gAqgAvxFoGAAAAOTkzMDU4ZGMtOGY5Yy00Yzc5LThkZGQtMTE5NzEyNTgwMDA3QGtpbmdzY2h1cmNoLm5ldC5hdQAvbz1raW5nc2NodXJjaC9vdT1FeGNoYW5nZSBBZG1pbmlzdHJhdGl2ZSBHcm91cCAoRllESUJPSEYyM1NQRExUKS9jbj1SZWNpcGllbnRzL2NuPWUwMzkxYTQ3MmI0ODQxZDg4NDE4MzI5MjQ1MmUxNGY3LUR5bGFuIE1jTGVvZAAC" isn't in the correct format. The correct format should look like this: "<MailboxIdentity>:<FolderPath>".
I've been searching but am unable to find any information regarding the error.
Is there something that i'm missing which would allow me to publish the calendar?
    Regards
    Dylan

    Hi Ed
From within outlook 2010 i right click on my public folder calendar and select "Share" and then "Publish This Calendar". it loads owa asking to login, i login and a error popup show straight away over the calendar publishing webpage with the error above.

  • New events on Outlook 2010 not syncing with Iphone and Ipad

I have gone through the nonsensical uninstall/reinstall every 5 restars. This time my new events or contacts on Outlook do not show on iPhone or Ipad. There is also a new confirguration where the Outlook does not separate the iCloud calendar from Outlook calendar but lists them all, then iCloud as a separate box at the bottom. I've tried dragging to that box with no success. I make about 50 appointments and reminders to my calendar each week and use all devices whether in the office or out. How dare Apple not fix this known issue.

I just looked at topic called "Outlook 2010 - Outlook does not sync with iPhone / iTunes and used the fix suggested in that string of posts. It appears to have worked!!! My happy camper.

How do I get my deleted emails to go to the deleted items in Outlook and not the archived folder?

Who is the email account provider?
With an Apple iCloud account, there is a preference setting with the account settings on the iPhone to archive messages - save deleted messages in your Archive folder.
I believe the same is available with a Gmail account.

For some employees.... Team members are not displaying in Team Calendar in Portal what would be the problem Could you please resolve this Its very urgent
    Edited by: Kumar.saphr on Aug 18, 2011 9:38 AM

    Hi Kumar,
This could be due to the following reasons:
    1. Check whether the OADP settings are correct. It might be worth testing the evaluation path that it uses.
    2. Check whether the users have appropriate authorisations (for IT2001) and structural auths (if implemented).
    Hope it helps.

You're probably not going to like the answer: Welcome to HTML-based email, and web (browser- or mail-based) rendering incompatibilities and quirks.
Newer Microsoft Internet Explorer is (much) better than older releases, so see if a newer Windows client or a newer version of Outlook does better.
If you really want to see what's going on here, view the raw HTML that's getting generated, and see what Microsoft wants or uses or expects within Outlook, and send that.
