Outlook 2010 Sync Contacts or Calendars on Windows 7 32 bit?

Has anyone tried this? Were you successful?

This is the error that I see in the log:-

This error is thrown for each part (Contacts,Notes etc.) of the sync process.
Perhaps that help Apple to resolve this issue.

  • Syncing Contacts and Calendar with Windows 8.1

Following the recent update to Windows 8.1 and the recent iTunes update, all iCloud calendar events and contacts are deleted. Does anyone know how to re-sync an iPad and iCloud calendar/contacts with a PC on Windows 8.1 platform, running MS Office 2013?

Same problem here. Syncing works fine until it gets to the calendars, then it goes forever. This was an immediate problem upon update to 8.1, as everything worked great until that point. Looking at the task manager under windows during the sync, there's very little activity going on. I'm trying a restore now to see if that helps, didn't see the comment about the birthdays until too late . All I have to do is turn off calendar syncing and it works. Interestingly, if I turn on calendar syncing, but use the "Sync selected", but don't select any calendars, it still hangs.

  • Unable to sync contacts and calendar to outlook 2010 or iphone 5

I work in IT and several of our clients are have trouble syncing contacts and calendar to outlook 2010 or iphones.
I have uninstall itunes completely from the computer, deleted the backup and clear the sync history nothing seems to be working.
Is there are problem with the latest itunes and if so when will the fix be release???

This is exactly what I am dealing with. Blackberry Link will work great for awhile and then something happens and I can not sync my contacts. I have spent many hours and days trying to fix this to no avail. BB support has been great but I still go through a long process each time. This week I finally gave up and started using the Microsoft Hotmail Outlook Connector since my company does not offer Active Sync or Exchange. It works flawlessly. I would dedfinitely check it out. If you swith to a Widows Phone or Android this is one of the options they recommend you use.
In a nutshell Link is awful and BB should be ashamed of the product they put on the market. I will only use it for syncing pictures and documents. Good luck!

  • How can I sync outlook 2007 subfolders, contacts, and calendar to iphone 6

How do I setup to sync outlook 2007 subfolders, contacts, and calendar to iphone 6?
Inbox messages will sync but not the sent box from either outlook or iphone.  Also, outlook subfolders are showing up on iphone.

    Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
If you hit a snag talk back to me.
    Cheers.

  • IPhone4 MS Outlook 2010 Sync - DOES NOT WORK

Syncing between MS Outlook and iPhone4 Contacts and Calendars does not work. Is there a fix for this? Music and videos sync, but anything related to MS Outlook 2010 does not.
Help! Any fixes or suggestions. I want to keep my iPhone4 and not toss it.
    Computer OS: Windows 7 64 bit, MS Office 2010 Ver: 14.0.5128.5000 (32-bit. iPhone4 Version: 4.3.1 (8G4).

My life and contacts are in the hands of MS Outlook 2010. I need to get a new smart phone that will sync with Outlook. I was shocked to see that Windows Phones running Windows Mobile 7 and having the latest version of MS Office Mobile WILL NOT sync contacts with MS Office Outlook 2010 running on one's PC. There is a very limited work around using a Hotmail account, but it will only work with a relatively small number of contacts (I have 3,500!).
To what extent does the iPhone 4 sync using the procedure you outlined above? Does it sync 100% of all info in your MS Outlook contacts? For example, does it sync "Categories" and "Groups" information? Also, does the sync work both ways? I.e, does a new or updated contact in one device update the other, regardless of whether the change was originally entered into the iPhone 4 or the computer on which one has MS Outlook 2010?
    Thanks

  • Can't sync contacts and calendar

    Hello,
I am using OVI 2.2.0.241 and it is failing to sync contacts and calendar:
    Error code for contacts: 80043b21
    Error code for calendar: 80043bd4
It doesn't sync anything between the device and ovi. I updated a contact in OVI, but it was not updated on my phone
I am using Office 2010 64x under Windows 7 64x. Language is PT-BR in all aplications.
    My phone is N95 8GB V30.0.018
Let me know if any more info is necessary.

    Hi Guys
Look, I don't know if this will help perhaps.
We use Novell Groupwise (a stupid system if you ask me) at work and I finally got Outlook and Groupwise to be happy together concerning email. None of my problems were Outlook or MS issue, everything was Novell's fault. Then I had a lot of trouble getting my N8's calendar to sync to Outlook from Nokia Suite v 3.4.49, again this was Novell's fault.
So my solution was to create a dummy account in Outlook, which I only use for my calendar....and no problem.
The dummy account I set up uses my actual email address as a POP3 account with the correct server information. But I set it to ask for a password everytime and I set the port number to be deliberately incorrect. So now, I have a calendar that syncs, no problem and I have my work email in outlook from Novell that works no problem (except for the occasional crash, again Novell's fault). It is a slight compromise, because everytime Outlook Sends/Receives, it gives and error on the dummy account I created; but I just ignore this.
I can't quite understand why you can't create a calendar in Outlook that is not linked to an email address?
I hope this helps? or gives you an idea to a solution.
P.S. I think Nokia completely messed up the N8 with software. It was an absolutely stunning phone when it came out of the box; and as the newer software versions came out, the phone went downhill.

  • Sync contacts and calendar

I have a iPod 5th Gen Video and a iPod Touch. When I try to sync contacts and calendar it does not work. I get a message pop up saying "cannot sync calendar. Log out & log back in". I am using Windows Vista and the latest iTunes and Outlook 2003.
Now at work I use Win XP and Outlook 2003 and both iPods sync contacts and calendar from Outlook perfectly. So is this an issue with Vista?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Syncing contacts and calendar and losing all prior info

I have the original iPhone and had my iCal synced to it. Since then my computer crashed so my iPhone has been my main source and it hasn't been synced, but it has been used as my primary contact and calendar. With that being said, I was adding an additional email account (Microsoft Exchange) to my phone and chose to sync the calendar and contacts with it as well. When I did that it completely deleted my prior contacts and calendar that were on the phone. Is there a way to get those back? I tried to restore to a prior back up to see if that would help (from another Windows based computer I've been using), but it said my last back up was corrupt so it couldn't restore.
Any clue on if it is even possible to get my contacts and calendars back?
Also... there should be something that says that syncing will make you lose your current info. before syncing. I defintely would not have done it if I knew that was the case.

    To Outlook from the iPhone?
Try entering a single entry into Outlook for both contacts and calendars. Then change the sync settings in iTunes so it shows "sync contacts with Outlook" and "sync calendars with Outlook". Hit "Apply" in the lower right!
    Good luck!

The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running?

  • Can I sync contacts and calendars with iTunes Match enabled?

I’m getting an iPhone in a couple of weeks and really want iTunes match but the more I read about it the more I’m wondering whether it’ll be worth the hassle. I’ve loads of old CD rips at 128 kbps and protected iTunes files, also at 128 kbps, and what really attracts me is the idea of upgrading all these to unprotected 256 kbps.
I have a Macbook for personal use and a PC for work, being able to sync both computers to the phone will be essential for me. I know that I wouldn’t be able to sync music with iTunes match enabled but if I can sync contacts and calendars and drag Office documents to the phone from both computers that would be OK.
Please could someone tell me whether this would be possible?

I think I understand now, it's nothing to do with syncing music - everything is synced through iTunes. Have I understood properly?
    Yes. Including music.

This could be a major blow for me as I'll be using the iPhone mainly for work so I will have to Sync with the PC. If I understand this correctly, once I decide to sync with Outlook on the PC as the main priority I can no longer sync with the Macbook?
What if I ditch iCloud and sync everything through USB?
If it is possible for you to do so you might want to consider signing up for an iCloud account <http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html>. Keep in mind that iCloud and iTunes Match are seperate services. One does not require the other. However iCloud will work with Outlook 2007 and up so you can keep all your contacts in sync across the devices. You can also sign up for iTunes Match if you want. Or you might even consider using Google to do what you want. It is not necessary for you to keep syncing via USB, unless that is just what you are comfortable doing.

Thank you Meta, but I could not get the calendar and contact sync with Gmail to work. Apple support already suggested to use Google or a Windows PC. Maybe I should actually reset and try my old Windows PC. Seriously, ... can this be the solution after a Mac OS update for pure Apple users?

  • Outlook not sync contacts with changed "file as" field?

I am syncing contacts and calendar from Outlook on my office PC (and everything else from Mac at home). I have a very large contact list and have noticed that a number of key contacts have not synced. It appears that any contacts with a changed "file as" field have not been syned (e.g. contact entry of "Daniel Smith" with "file as" field altered in Outlook to show "Dan Smith" does not show anywhere on iPhone). Needless to say, these are actually the contacts that I use most often so I'm hoping to find a solution.
On a related point, it's hard to determine exactly how many contacts are not syncing b/c I can't find anyplace on the iPhone or in iTunes that lists shows info on the number of contacts (so I can't compare to my count in Outlook).
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any known solutions or work-arounds? (I'm hoping to avoid a full export, clean-up, and import to iPhone through the Mac Address Book or similar b/c I'm concerned that in then trying to sync w/ Outlook I'd get duplicates. Also, my contact list has thousands of contacts so it would be very dedious. My current work-around is to still carry my Treo in my briefcase, which is not ideal).
Thanks in advance for any help.

boynsea: Thanks for the input, but isn't the IMAP aspect of Outlook limited to the way one can connect to an Exchange server for e-mail? I've been successful in getting the IMAP connection for e-mail working. Contacts and calendar are designed to sync when physically docked with the computer rather than over-the-air; I know, if something like exchange activesync is ever licensed for iPhone then the calendar can be updated over-the-air, but I suspect that contacts will always be synced only when docked (which is how my Treo was set up).
Anyway, I did test my theory about the "file-as" field by changing a few contacts back to their default display and now they sync just fine. I really don't want to have to do this for all contacts, and can't actually tell how many are involved since I haven't found anyplace that the number of contacts is listed. Also, does anyone know if there is a readily accessible syncronization log that can be checked? That might show those contacts that are rejected.
    Thanks.
