Outlook 2011 MAC OAB contacts

Hey,
im using Outlook 2011 for Mac. I want to save all the contacts in the oab to my local contacts to sync them with my Iphone.
Is there a way to see and save every entry in the OAB? im able to search a single person in the OAB with my Outlook search but i cant see all entrys in the search.
I hope you can help me.
Thank you

Hi,
Based on my knowledge, OAB files generated from Mailbox server (if you are using Exchange 2010), distributed to CAS server and downloaded to Outlook client which uses Exchange Cached mode.
Every 5:00 AM, by default, OAB generated, distributied and downloaded to local.
It seems impossible to sync contact on Outlook for MAC to iPhone.

    Hey
I'm Michael and I work for connex.io, an address book service.
To my knowledge, there is no option to do this in Outlook itself. Depending on the service you use, there might be a de-duplication feature available.
If you want, you can try connex.io. Our app can automatically de-duplicate, complete and clean your contacts for you and sync them with many devices (including Outlook). If you want to check it out: https://connex.io/tour-1-what-does-connexio-do or if you need more help you can mail me: [email protected]
    Good luck!

  • Outlook 2011 (Mac) Default Search Folder

This question is for Outlook 2011 (Mac)  Does anyone know how to change the default search folder from All Folders in the Contacts Search? I want to make the default folder my company's ldap directory. It works fine when you select it from the list,
but it would be a lot more convenient if it searched ldap by default. I've searched online and haven't seen an answer to this.
    Thanks.

  • Outlook 2011 problem syncing contacts with address book

I am aware that Lion has broken the sync ability of Outlook 2011 with Address Book. Hopefullly this will be fixed at some point.
So my problem is that I have decided to use a workaround to get my Address Book contents into Outlook 2011. I am not concerned with further syncing at this point. I just want to get my addresses into Outlook and hope a better fix is offered at some point.
About the only way I could figure out how to do this was to export my Address Book as vCard. I then imported the vCard file into Gmail and then exported that as a CSV file. It contained 550 addresses. I opened it in Excel and it contained 550 rows. Great so far.
I then Imported into Outlook 2011 and chose import a text file. When the mapping window opened, it showed over 890 files instead of 550 and the fields were not mapped correctly. I could not complete the import because it was so screwed up.
So I'm back to square one and very frustrated. There must be others who have the same issue and maybe have figured out a way to do this. Please help.

  • How to get Outlook 2011 Mac emails in Mac Mail Lion version

how do I get Outlook 2011 Mac eml files to Mac MAIL for lion?

I'm not aware of an easy convertor from Outlook 2011 to Mac mail, but if you have still have access to the e-mail account setup in Outlook, I'd just setup Apple Mail to download the mail from that account. Then Mail will pick them up next time you get mail.
However if you don't have access to that account any longer or it's POP3 account, that won't work.
In which case you need to drag each mailbox folder (In-Box, Sent, etc.etc.) whilst in Outlook to a folder on you Mac (Desktop is fine), then from Apple Mail, goto Import Mail Mailboxes, choose Files in mbox format and select all your .mbox files, these will then apear in a folder called Import.

  • Can I sync Outlook 2011 with Apple contacts in the latest Mavericks like I used to do in OSX 10.8.5?

Can I sync Outlook 2011 with Apple contacts in the latest Mavericks like I used to do in OSX 10.8.5?

I might suggest you send links to download the attachments via DropBox or other similar source rather than include in an email.
    Example:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/vqyrdv4zblhjt7o/ShowLibraryMavericks.png
Have you looked at adding the attachements at the end of the message. Under Edit in the Mail Menu bar select Attachments.
Attachment Tamer might be worth a look but attachements are always going to be in the body part of the message.

  • I have an iMac with 10.9.1 and an iPhone 5 also updated to the newest system and I cannot get a sync set up between Ical and the iPhone or Outlook 2011 mac calendar with the iphone

I have an iMac with 10.9.1 and an iPhone 5 also updated to the newest system and I cannot get a sync set up between Ical and the iPhone or Outlook 2011 mac calendar with the iphone. I would perfer using outlook but will settle for the Imac calendar

It depends on what iMac you have. If it is an old PPC (G4 orG5) iMac then no further upgrades are possible. If it an Intel iMac:
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:
Requirements for OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard'
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
(NB: PowerPC applications can still be run in Snow Leopard using Rosetta, but they will not work in later versions of OS X.)
The OS 10.6 Snow Leopard install DVD is available for $19.99 from the Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    and in the UK:
    http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
Check via Software Update whether any further updates are required, particularly to iTunes.
You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4479
You can now upgrade to Mavericks OS 10.9 for free IF you have one of the following Macs, with not less than 2GB of RAM, and at least 8GB of available space on your hard drive:
    iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    iCloud system requirements:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4759
If you cannot run Mavericks you can purchase the code to use to download Lion from the App Store (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard):
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion
    or Mountain Lion:

  • Outlook 2011 Mac local subfolders are disappearing after "send and receive"

After working for long time without a issue, Outlook 2011 Mac (with all updates) start to show a strange habit:
Fresh from the start the application shows all local subfolders as usual.
After a send and receive of all mail suddenly all subfolders are disappearing.
I have to restart the application to regain access to the subfolders.
Tried a rebuild of the database and a safe boot with no luck. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks!

xdude29 did you ever get this problem sorted out. I am encountering the exact same problem and have to quit outlook and restart to find my folders again.

  • Synching Mac Outlook 2011 Calendar and Contacts

I recently 1) moved from a PC to a Mac Book, 2) installed Outlook 2011 (as part of Office for Mac) and 3) imported my PC .pst file into Outlook to get my calendar, contacts and emails.  While this worked, I have a huge problem in that I can not find a way to synch my Outlook for Mac Calendar and Contacts with my Macbook, iphone or ipad.  Is there anyone else that has this problem or a solution???

I have the same issue.  I have rebuilt the identity identity in Outlook 2011 and at least got a ONE TIME sync between Outlook and iCal but Itunes and Outlook 2011 for Mac will not sync.

  • Mac outlook 2011 not display "Contact and Recent addresses"

I just installed Mac outlook 2011 in my new 2014 Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.4
When I type email address to the bar it does not display "Contact and Recent addresses" to list all the typed email address. Only if I press "tab" button, it will finish the rest of the address. The point is I cannot choose the address
from a list of same name persons.
However, it works well in my old Mac Book pro. OSX 10.9.3
    Thanks.

  • Problem syncing my IPhone 5S to Mac Outlook 2011 calendars and contacts

I have an IPhone 5S running on OS7.  While I have read many having same problems, I am still at a lost as to how to sync with Outlook 2011 on my Mac.  Previously there was a tab beside summary on ITunes that I could specify my sync preferences.  Now, no such tab..
Could someone guide me through the process so that I can again sync my Phone with my Calendars and Contacts on the Mac.
Another issues is that I cant seem to sync the same Calendars and Contacts to ICal and Contacts for Mac.
    Thank you

  • Configuring additional mailbox in Outlook 2011 (Mac)

After adding the additional mailbox in Outlook 2011 (for Mac), sent items are saved either in ‘Sent’ folder for the main mailbox (Sender Mailbox in OWA) or in ‘Sent’ folder for main and additional mailboxes (Sender and From mailboxes in OWA). Option ‘From
Mailbox’ in OWA functions the same way as ‘Sender and From mailboxes’. Is it possible to make sent items from additional mailbox save in ‘Sent’ folder for only additional mailbox. When using OWA works correctly. Used exchange server 2010 sp3

    Hi,
We can’t make sent items from additional mailbox save in ‘Sent’ folder for only additional mailbox. By default, Exchange Server 2010 would copy messages to the Sent Items folder of the sender only.
Generally, we can use Set-MailboxSentItemsConfiguration cmdlet to set the configuration of the Sent Items folder to copy the message to the Sent Items folder of both the sender and the user on whose behalf the message was sent. There is no parameter value
for only save the sent items in additional mailbox Sent Items folder.
    Set-MailboxSentItemsConfiguration Manager -SendAsItemsCopiedTo SenderAndFrom

  • How to fix Outlook (2011) Mac/PC synchronization issues?

In our company we use Mac Outlook 2011 (newest version), PC Outlook 2013 (newest version) and Exchange server 8.3.379.2. The PC Outlook mail content is synchronized properly between my iPhone Exchange mail account and OWA (Outlook Web Access). The content
is synchronized in a few seconds without problems.
However, the sync between Mac Outlook 2011 and the rest of the Exchange mail content is not working for me. My colleague has almost identical gear and he doesn't suffer from the problem. We have no idea why.
When I delete a message in Windows-Outlook, then the message gets fairly quickly deleted in my OSX-Outlook. But if I delete a message in OSX-Outlook, the message may rarely get deleted in Windows-Outlook in 60 seconds, but usually it just doesn't sync. So
my Windows-Outlook has ~500 messages in my Inbox and OSX-Outlook Inbox has ~300 messages. I have already tried removing all subfolders in Inbox according to the "best practices" but that didn't have any effect. If I create a new identity in OSX (Microsoft
Database Utility), that temporarily fixes the sync. But as soon as I start deleting and moving messages in OSX Outlook, the changes just don't sync with the server, or the changes do not show in Windows Outlook for some other reason.
    What can cause this behaviour?

    Hi distill,
According to your description, I understand that Mac Outlook client cannot sync the content with Exchange server, however PC Outlook works fine.
If I have misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
This issue may be related to Mac client, please try to reset sync services and check if it helps:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2547327.
If it fails, please create new user profile for Mac and set up the email account, then check the result. More details about it, please refer to:

Additional, I recommend you post your question in the Mac Outlook forum so that you can get more professional suggestions. For your convenience:
