Outlook 2013 have to run as administrator

Hello all,
My outlook not working properly when I started normally. I have no problem if I run as administrator or in safe mode.
It's an outlook 2013 and connected on an exchange server.
I control that Outloock is not in compatibility mode (From Properties -> Compatibility tab)
and there isn't google desktop installed.
I need Idea...
Thanks a lot in advance.

My outlook not working properly when I started normally.
What's the exact symptom when you start Outlook normally?
Since you have detected that Outlook works well under safe mode, try to disable the add-ins one at a time, then restart Outlook (not in Safe Mode this time) to check behavior.
Repeat the steps until you find out the faulty add-in.

  • Installed Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 - have to use iCloud Outlook Add-in to sync my Iphone 5 with Outlook - reminders work on iPhone, but reminder window & email reminders don't work in Outlook 2013. Help

Using windows 8.1 and outlook 2013 with iCloud Outlook Add-in so that my iPhone 5 will sync with outlook. Now reminders work on iPhone 5, but don't work in outlook 2013. Help, I've tried everything I can think of or found on the internet.

    Hi,
Please follow the steps below to make sure the reminders have been enabled in Outlook:
On the File tab, click Options.
Select Advanced in the Outlook Options dialog box.
In the Reminders section, select Show reminders.
    Click OK.
I also found a similar thread here:

As mentioned in the thread, you can try these steps:
Use MFCMAPI to delete the Reminders Folder, then run "outlook.exe /resetfolders" to recreate this folder:
    Download MFCMAPI:http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com/releases/view/118446

  • Have to run as Administrator ???

I cannot run Kular in my Power User account in XP for some
reason. It will only run in IE if I RUNAS Administrator.
When I try running in the user account, it says that I need
to install Flash, but it already is installed anyway. When I say OK
to install, it says that it needs elevated permissions to install.
So I install in Administrator, but it makes no difference in the
    user account.
    Any help?

I think this caused by the security setting in your XP
    computer. Please try following step:
In IE, please check Tools -> Internet Options, click on
Security tab, find and click on “Custom level” button
to open Security Setting window. Find “Run ActiveX control
and plug in” in the list, and checked it as
    “Enable”.
It might be checked as “Administrator approved”
    or “Disable” before.
If you worry about security of your computer, you can set it
    as "Prompt".
Let me know if you still have the problem.

  • Outlook 2013 Have to Exit and Restart to Send Mail

I'm using Windows 7 64 and Office 365. I rely on e-mail for primary business communication. Since switching to Office 365, I've had incidences where I've "sent" e-mails before leaving, then returning 3 hours later to find the e-mails
    never left the Outbox.
This happens constantly - every day, multiple times.
The bottom of the window reads ALL FOLDERS ARE UP TO DATE and CONNECTED TO MICROSOFT EXCHANGE, and the icon in the tray at the bottom of the screen has no little yellow triangle with exclamation point, and yet when I hot SEND/RECEIVE the e-mails
    won't leave the Outbox.
I've discovered that exiting and then restarting the program seems to temporarily set sending outbound e-mails as top priority, but then after a few minutes it goes back to ignoring mail in the Outbox, while syncing other folders.
Is anyone else experiencing this extremely frustrating and counter-productive problem?
    Thanks for your help,
    Dennis

  • I run windows 7.  Since updating itunes, I have been unable to open itunes.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and have chosen to run a administrator.  Itunes icon now displays a shield with yellow

I run windows 7.  Have been unable to open itunes since updating last week.  I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled, and have checked run as administrator, but still can no open.  I notice that there is now a shield with yellow and blue squares next to it, that i do not think were there before.

    many thanks, Mary.
The ModName is ituneup.dll; the modver is 1.0.7.0.
Do you have the TuneUp plugin installed for your iTunes? If so, I think your copy is causing the issue here. Try the following document:

... does that help with the launch errors?

  • ICloud Add-in Keeps Disabling Itself in Outlook 2013

I have installed and synced the iCloud add-in with Microsoft Outlook  2013 (32-bit) on my Windows 8 (64-bit) desktop.  It has worked reliably for more than one year, reliably syncing data between my PC, "the cloud" and my iPhone 4s.  A few days ago, I noticed that the add-in was not enabled in Outlook.  I enabled it via "file", "Options", "Add-ins" in Outlook and it then worked just fine.  However, each time I closed Outlook and re-opened it, the add-in had once again been disabled and had to be manually enabled again.
I have uninstalled iCloud, "repaired" Outlook, re-installed iCloud and the situation has not resolved itself.  I have now gotten used to the hassle of manually enabling the add-in each time I open Outlook, but I would obviously prefer to get things operating properly.
An suggestions how to solve this issue?

I have had this issue on three separate PCs.  It's maddening but I have found a solution that works (at least on my PCs).  I fixed it with this tip I picked up in another forum.  Here are the steps:
1 Connect to Outlook 2013 as Administrator (right click Outlook icon and select 'Run as Administrator')
2 Disable Icloud Addin (In Outlook Options)
3 Close Outlook and restart PC
4 Run Outlook 2013 as Administrator
    5 Reactivate Icloud Addin
    6 Close Outlook 2013
7 Restarted Outlook 2013 as normal User
Have had no issues since.  This fix worked on both Outlook 2010 (one install) and 2013 (two installs) for me.  My theory is that something done in the enablement step requires actual 'Administrator' instead of delegated 'Administrator' rights.
Happy trails, I hope it works for you too!

  • How do you change the default font in Outlook 2013?

I am trying to set the default font in Outlook 2013 as per the customer's request and am having no success.
First I create a NormalEmail.dotm file and added it to the Office Customization Tool, created an msp and added it to my package. After installing Office 2013 I check and the NormalEmail.dotm
is on the machine in %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates folder waiting to be loaded. When launching Outlook 2013 on first run it renames my NormalEmail.dotm to NormalEmail15Pre.dotm. I created the file in Word 2013 so it's not a 2010 version and it (NormalEmail15Pre.dotm)
open cleanly in Word 2013 (it does not open in compatibility mode).  If I close Outlook and rename NormalEmail15Pre.dotm back to NormalEmail.dotm Outlook opens and uses my template without any issue. This is not a solution as I have 1000's of deployments
and can't do this manually. One other thing, I did have this same problem with the default font in Word 2013 but by implementing a registry setting (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options\MigrateNotmalOnFirstBoot = 1) it used my Normal.dotm
template on first run, if such a setting exists for Outlook I can't find it.
Also I did try to set the font through the mailsettings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\MailSettings) in the registry as we did with O2007 and O2010 but
those do not load into Outlook when tweaked.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2009/04/24/how-to-deploy-specific-fonts-in-office-2007.aspx
    Thank you for your help.

Hi, I found out how you can set it.
You need two registry keys to be set in order to keep the preloaded settings.(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\MailSettings)
    These are:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\LanguageResources]
    "LangTuneUp"="OfficeCompleted"
    "OutlookChangeInstallLanguage"="Yes"
    both are String entries.

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received:
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly.
So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?
    Thanks,
    Joe

I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:
"HurdleRemove replied on May 16, 2013
I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."

  • Outlook 2013: Your Automatic Reply Settings Cannot Be Displayed Because The Server Is Unavailable

When I configure the Outlook profile manually then receive warning "Your Automatic Reply Settings Cannot Be Displayed Because The Server Is Unavailable" when clicking "Automatic Replies (Out of Office)".
However if I use Autodiscover to configure the Outlook profile the above does not occur and "Automatic Replies (Out of Office)" works fine.
    Client: Outlook 2013 Click-to-Run version 15.0.4551.1011 on Windows 7 Pro SP1.
    Server: Exchange 2007 SP3 on Windows SBS 2008 SP2.

    Hi,
First of all, please make sure you have installed this Outlook 2013 hotfix package (December 10, 2013):
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2825652/en-us
    It may fix the issue.
If the hotfix doesn't help, please note, this problem can occur after your primary SMTP address changes. The problem occurs because your previous primary SMTP address is cached in the Windows registry under your Outlook profile and this information does
not get refreshed for 24-48 hours after the SMTP address change.
So please make sure you have configured smtp address correctly, or, we can find some workarounds from the link below:

  • Weird/Complex Exchange/Outlook 2013 Issue

I posted this in the Outlook forum but I was given the recommendation to post it here so I thought I would see if anyone could help.
So we have a client that is creating Outlook calendar events in Outlook 2013 who is running on Exchange 2007 running on a SBS2011 server.  In the body of that message they are putting tons of text in it [primarily it is how they are communicating about
the events].  Some users see all the text and some don’t either on their iPhone or in Outlook 2013. They are all using the same version of Outlook. We were told that the mailbox could be corrupted [I don't think so because nothing else is affected]. Another
person stated that Microsoft only allows a certain number of characters in the body of the calendar appointment and this issue is not resolvable. Does anyone here have any ideas as to what could be the problem and if it is truly unresolvable?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Cale,
Does the problematic user see all the text via OWA?
I also recommend you try the following methods to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Change the problematic user's PC and use a normal user's PC to check if there is the same issue.
    2. Try moving the problematic mailbox to another database and check if any helps

  • Create Outlook 2013 Calendar Report

    Hi,
Can anyone advise me on how I would go about creating my own template/report to print out a daily calendar from my Outlook 2013 (32 bit) running on Windows 7.
The default daily print out is good but there are a couple of changes I would like to make. For example displaying tasks with no due date, and including appointments from other calendars.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,
    Lars.

    Hi,
In Outlook 2013 there's no build-in feature to do some customizations as you mentioned. However, with the help of Calendar Printing Assistant, we can have an easy way to print and customize Outlook calendar information:

  • Outlook 2013 Rules "Which Rules Do You Want To Keep - Client or Server"

Ever since I upgraded to Outlook 2013, whenever I run my morning Rules on our companies public folder, I get a pop up box asking "Which Rules Do You Want To Keep" and the choices - "Client or Server" So naturally I run the rules that are stored on the
server and all my rules are run properly. But its a bit of a hassle that it makes me click that every single time I run the rules (sometimes several times per day) even though they are the exact same rules I ran on Outlook 2010 and I was never asked. Im wondering
if there's a way to set this choice permanently so I dont have to make the choice daily. Even when I make a new rule it asks me this question, even though the new rule isnt stored in either location at that point.

This behavior occurs because a copy of the rules that  you created for this Exchange mailbox is stored in your local .pst  file. When you start Outlook and access your Exchange mailbox from computer B, Outlook expects rules. However, the rules
are  not  present because they are stored locally in the .pst file on computer A.
To resolve it, we may Deliver new e-mail to a new location. (In Outlook 2013, there is no "change folder" option in Account setting. If you are using PST as the data file, please create/set another PST as default to have a try)
These issue may also caused by the following conditions:
    1. Two Outlook Computers Are Connected to the same Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox
    2. Different Versions of Outlook Connected to the Same Exchange Server Mailbox

  • How to create SHA2 signature in Outlook 2013?

My company has upgraded all Office software recently, from Office 2007 to Office 2013.
In Outlook 2007, I can create email with SHA2 signature. However, I can't find the same configuration in Outlook 2013.
Does anyone have the same problem?

My support contact couldn't find any support cases or bug reports - he found this article
http://blogs.technet.com/b/pki/archive/2010/09/30/sha2-and-windows.aspx but it wouldn't apply here, since Outlook 2013 doesn't run on the older OS's and the newer OSs support SHA2. I recommend opening a support case - if this is a recently purchased copy

  • Extending Outlook 2013 to multiple instances and profiles under the same user

    Hello,
I understand that Outlook 2013 will only run one profile under a logged in user account. can i use Outlook Primary Interop Assembly
to add that ability to outlook 2013 ?
    Regards

    Hello,
Only one instance of Outlook can be run. You can choose the profile programmatically using the
Logon method of the Namespace class. Here is what MSDN states:
Use the Logon method only to log on to a specific profile when Outlook is not already running. This is because only one Outlook process can run at a time,
and that Outlook process uses only one profile and supports only one MAPI session. When users start Outlook a second time, that instance of Outlook runs within the same Outlook process, does not create a new process, and uses the same profile.
If Outlook is already running, using this method does not create a new Outlook session or change the current profile to a different one.
