Outlook 365 not bringing in emails when not used with Microsoft 365 Exchange

We have a number of clients who were all using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP and needed to be migrated off once support ended. We have upgraded them all to Windows 7 and Office 365 including Outlook 365/2013 but as we were not able to move their domains to
Microsoft exchange we are running Outlook connected to their email provider running IMAP email. Unless Outlook is working in Safe Mode, folders will not sync and new emails will not download. This has become such a problem that we have had to downgrade each
client to Outlook 2010.
It appears to us that Outlook 365 only works correctly if the domain and mail is hosted on Microsoft 365 exchange. Is this true as we have not read this anywhere and it has cost our company a lot of time and money.

Hi John,
Since the folders and new mails can be synced in Outlook safe mode, I think the issue may be caused by any add-ins or third-party DLLs.
In Outlook safe mode, there are some features and add-ins disabled in Outlook. We need to review the disabled features and find out which is the cause of the issue. To get the detailed steps about safe mode troubleshooting, please refer to the
Step 6: Start Outlook in safe mode part in the following KB:

5-6 days ago my hotmail account began to say words to the effect that it could not perform the above described actions. I sent a few inquiries but have received no response. I opened a gmail with which seems to work just fine except for one aspect which I will mention later. When I opened IE(without add-ons) and accessed hotmail the above mentioned actions seem to work just fine. I have used firefox as my browser for about 6-7 years with no problems. The computer i use is still the same and i have made no changes other than to install MS updates which occur automatically. I'm puzzled. Can you assiist?
The issue I'm having with gmail is that I cannot figure out how to force a log-in asking for username and password and how to force an explicit logout.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you have not been able to utilize your text messaging AlaynaFHirsch. I recommend downloading the new software to your phone. It will definitely help with functionality issues. Are you using a 3rd party messaging application? Have you tried to perform a restore on your account?

Has anyone received an answer to this? It seems that a lot of us are having the same issue. In the past i had no trouble receiving emails to reset my password but for the past week I havne't been able to login, my security questions didn't work and I haven't received any of the emails to reset my password. I've created a new Account but would rather get into my old account because it's linked to my perfered email address. Hum..

If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.

What system and iPhoto version are you running?
If your're using iPhoto 9 or later Command (right) - click on the photo in the search window and select Show Event in the Contextual menu.
That will take you to the event where the photo is.

Same thing is happening to me. Adobe has not responded to anyone about this error. It appears that Abobe XI is not compatible with IE 11. I do not get this error when I use Chrome or Firefox. Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies.

Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time

As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?

To completely remove an app and all of its data, do this: First delete the app on your phone, then in iTunes, under Library, click on Apps, right-click the app you want to delete & select delete, when prompted, move all files to trash, empty your trash. Connect your phone and sync. The app and all of its data will be gone.

iPhone supports A2DP audio streaming. This is just the nature of the beast. If you do not intend to use audio streaming from the phone, you may be able to disable this in the in car system. This should not affect Bluetooth calling. There is no option to disable this on the phone itself.

I posted this on Azure forim with no luck maybe here is a better choise.
When trying to connect a windows 8\8.1 client with a vpn connection for azure virtual network we get the fallowing error.
"A certificate could not be found that can be used with this Extensible Authentication Protocol. (Error 798)"\
I'm fallowing this msdn article about point to site vpn on azure. according to it the certificat is good for both win 7 and win 8.

this is the commanf to build the client certificat:
makecert.exe -n "CN=ClientCertificateName" -pe -sky exchange -m 96 -ss My -in "RootCertificateName" -is my -a sha1
When runing the installtion of the certificat on the client the defult crtificate store is "Automatic", It does not metter if I leave it on Automatic or choose any of the other options (personal, trusted issuers ...) I always get the same error.

A certificate could not be found that can be used with this extensible authentication protocol in PEAP policy config

Windows 2003 enterprise
AD DC, DNS, DHCP, CA and IAS all are running from single server. But at the time of configuration of Remote Access Policy the error message of "a certificate could not be found that can be used with this extensible authentication protocol" is appeared.
So with the help of mmc snap in the certificate was requested from CA (Domain Controller template)as a new certificate request and placed in the local computer personal folder.
After placing the certificate the error message was disappeared during configuring PEAP.
But after sometime the certificate was disappeared from remote access policy. But the same imported certificate was present in personal folder.
What is reason for frequent disappearing?
How to manage the situation?

Hi,
I think the cause is that the DomainControllerAuthentication certificate has superseded the
DomainController certificate which is chosen during the setup of IAS.
To avoid this, if you’re going to install IAS on a Domain Controller, the DC should be made to enroll for a separate certificate from the template
'RAS and IAS Servers' before the IAS server is installed and this certificate should then be chosen for any PEAP setup.

How to use user's default email address for use with Answers?
When I was referring to the Admin Guide I found the below description for email session variable.
Can somebody please help me with this.
Contains the user's default email address for use with Answers. If the delivery option of Answers is enabled, an email device using this address will be created for the user upon first log in. Users can override this address by changing their account settings in Oracle BI Presentation Services.

I think the documentation is wrongly saying that it will be used by Answers. The email will be used by Delivers, the BI Scheduler component.
