Outlook Access

Hi all,
I was wondering if there was any libraries that allowed you to view the e-mail messages in an outlook inbox.
I wish to scan for all undeliverable messages, and then remove them from our mailing list.
Thanks in advanced,
Glen

Ok, so that will allow me to query our local IMAP server, and ask for everything that is in a directory?Yes.
At the moment we are putting all undeliverable emails into a folder, and then manually going through and removing them from our database. I wish to develop an application to scrape the email address from the undeliverable response emails, and then automatically remove those emails from the mailing list.Yes, you might be able to do that. It might be harder than you think but it is at least partially achievable.
Is there a way to query the local MS Outlook cache? As pointed out before, Outlook is NOT your IMAP server. That would most likely be Exchange. And it doesn't have a "cache". Try to get over the idea that Outlook is a mail server. It isn't. It's an e-mail client which can read mail from a variety of IMAP servers.
Edit: Incidentally, be cautious about removing an e-mail address from your database just because a message was bounced from that address. I find it's quite common for messages to be bounced because the recipients quota was exceeded. This may mean the recipient has permanently left the building, but it may just mean that some other clown just sent them a 17-MB PowerPoint presentation which blew their quota.

  • Restrict Outlook Access Only To Domain Joined PCs?

We have contractors that use their employers laptops to access various LAN resources on our network such as access to shared network drives, printers, Remote Desktop and access to our Intranet sites.  They have mailboxes on our Exchange servers and
we would like their mailbox access to be restricted to EAS and OWA, not Outlook unless they are using one of our domain-joined computers.
The main reason for this is to restrict these users from downloading their mailbox contents into into a personal folder.  We can create PST restrictions on our domain-joined PCs via group policy, but these policies would not apply to computers not joined
    to our domain.
Of course we would also like to prevent Outlook access to their mail from their home PCs that they may have installed Outlook on, but we still need seamless remote access to Outlook on domain-joined laptops used remotely.
    How can this be done?

PS -- Andy are you going to MEC ?

  • Why Vietnamese font is error when replying by using outlook access web?

    Dear Mozilla Support Team,
I'm Chuong, I come from Vietnam. Some of our workers are using firefox to check their outlook access web mail. Their problem is when they reply a mail, the font (Vietnamese font) of these emails is error for example (c?ng hòa xã h?i ch? nghia vi?t nam). Would you like to guide me to troubleshoot this problem asap?
    Thanks,

    Looks fine here on Linux.
    Send with:
    *Encoding: ISO-8859-1
    Meta tag in document:
    *text/html; CHARSET=iso-8859-1
There is no font specified, so the default is used.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
You can a different default font to see if that helps, in case that the currently selected font doesn't have all the glyphs.<br />
I'm using Verdana as the default font, but a font like Arial should work as well.
You can test this in the above posted Unicode Wikipedia pages.
You may need to uncheck this while testing:

  • Exchange server 2013 ECP, OWA, Exchange Management Shell, Outlook access and a few more problems.

    Good Morning,
I really need some help please.
Our Server 2012 std. with Exchange 2013 std. installation was running like a dream. The tech responsible for our installation left the company to work in the UK and reported to us that there were minor issues with the installation that
    needed attention.
on investigation we have found issues in that we cannot access ECP or OWA and in fact Internet explorer most of the time. on further investigation we found management shell for exchange gives errors on start up and new users and outlook cannot
    be added to the domain.
On contacting the tech via phone he said he had issues with Certificates but could not help any further.
I have googled the problems and read much in TechNet and believe that in order not to make things worse than they are to approach those that know more than I do at present. I am not sure where to start right now.
    Where do I start?????
ps. There does not seem to be any backups that we can fall back on.

  • With POP3 protocol, How Outlook access all the folders

    Hi friends,
I have some doubts. Our mail server doesn't support the IMAP protocol. When i access the mails using Outlook, then I m able to get all the messages of INBOX as well as Trash & Deleted Messages?
How it happens, When only INBOX is accessible to user Using POP3 protocol. Using Outlook web access, I m able to access all the folder as well as I m able to create the folders also.
Can somebody tell me how does it works?

Outlook uses a Microsoft-specific protocol called MAPI. And your statement that your server doesn't support IMAP isn't quite correct. MS Exchange does support IMAP, but you have to ask the administrator to switch on IMAP support. The default setup for Exchange has it turned off.

  • Contact field in outlook access

how to write code for adding contacts field in a GUI(graphical user interface) like outlook web access. Can anyone guide me...Thanks in advance

    Hi Suresh,
The following is what I got from documentation of BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1.
One person to be created as a customer:
With the entered personal data, addresses of type 1 (company address), type 2 (address for a person/private address of a contact person), and type 3 (contact partner address) are created simultaneously in Central Address Management (CAM).
If the "Allow Consumer Maintenance" indicator is set, then a consumer is created in SAP R/3. (See also: import parameter PI_CONSUMEREN ).
    (a) No consumers to be created:
The entered personal data has a direct influence on the master data, company code data and <b>contact person data. One contact partner record is created for the customer in question.</b> All the master data, company code data, sales area data, tax code data, and reminder data that is not entered is adopted from a reference customer and from the sales area data (sales organization, distribution channel and division - import parameter PI_COPYREFERENCE).
I'm not sure what they are implying. But I think there is some way where the contact person is assigned.
    What do you think?
    Regards,
    Eddie.

  • TrueSuite finger print Outlook access has disappeared

    Hi all,
I have been using TrueSuite Access to protect MS Outlook (I'm using Outlook2003) since I got my Toshiba laptop, in other words when I open MS Outlook, TrueSuite forces me to swipe my fingerprint so I can access and use MS Outlook.
It's been working fine until yesterday, for some reason the TrueSuite fingerprint option to open MS Outlook has disappeared, I simply go to Start | MS Office Outlook and Outlook opens, it no longer asking me to swipe my fingerprint.
I have not downloaded anything in the meantime except updating my anti virus software.
Do anyone know why this has happened?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Toffo

    Hi
Not quite sure what could affect this but would recommend checking the settings in fingerprint software.
Maybe you will need to register the fingerprints again.
You can also try to update / reinstall the software and to check if this helps.

  • Mobile and remote Outlook access do not work after mailbox move

We recently moved our mailboxes to a different datastore. We are not unable to access our mailboxes using our cell phones or Outlook remotely. testconnectivity.microsoft.com gives me a http 500 error for both the Exchange virtual directory and the RPC.
    Any ideas?

Was this a migration to another version of Exchange or simply mailbox move from the same version of Exchange?

  • Outlook access address book slow when sending from Word

We use Outlook 2013 in cached mode together with Exchange 2013 CU5.
If somebody send an email from outlook and click on the "TO"-button to select a recipient, the address book appears without delay.
If i do the same, but send the email from word with "send as attachment" and click then on the "TO"-button, it takes sometimes till 5 minutes till the address book appears.
The exact same problem happens also for the users which use Outlook 2010.

    Hi,
I'm not able to reproduce this problem on my side, please try the following:
    1. Switch Outlook to work in Online Mode: Go to Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Double click the account name -> Uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode", click Next and Finish, restart Outlook and check if the problem exists when sending from
    Outlook in Online Mode.
    2. Have Word work in Safe Mode: Press Win + R, type "winword.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter. Try to send the attachment from Word, check if the problem persists. If no, consider to disable the suspicious add-ins to determine which one caused the
    problem.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
