Outlook Add-On in SAP Business One 8.8

Hi Experts
I recently Upgraded to SAP Business One 8.8
I installed Outlook Add-On (I installed Outlook server, outlook .ard file and Outlook stanalone) when I start the add-on its is connected and it gives a message Initialization Failed.
So I cannot see the 'create default templates' screen.
But the strange thing is when i click syncronize in outlook it can syncronize all datas and it also creates snapshots for business patners.
My question is how I can fix the error says initialization fails and how to send emails from SAP business one using Outlook.

What is your OI version? I am afraid there is no 8.8 compatible version ready yet.

Do we need a SAP Business One & Business Objects Forum?

For all discussions arround SAP Business One and the new Add-On Crystal Reports we have at the moment one [Thread|SAP Business One and Crystal Reports; with very high contribution.
So we would like to ask you, if a new Forum is needed and if yes where to put it (beneath the SAP Business One Forums or the Business Objects Forums)?

Having experience both SAP Business One and Business Objects, I would suggest that all reporting aspects of Crystal Reports should stay in Business Objects Forum.
I would still agree to create a sub-forum for Crystal Reports in SAP Business One, as long as the topics are more of the integration of Crystal Reports with SAP B1.

Can i practice the modules of business one myself? Do i need to buy books or is there any study material from net? What's the scope business one in other countries? There are many resources on the SAP Portal that could aid you in the self learning process. The e-learning curriculam provided step by step explanation of the different modules in SAP.
I believe you need to be a partner of SAP with access rights to these portal pages.

Synchronisation of contacts from Outlook to SAP Business One

Dear all,
i have installed the Outlook Integration Add-On and want to synchronize Contacts from SAP Business One to Outlook and this worked fine. Now I also wanted to synchronize contacts from Outlook to SAP Business One (changes and new Contacts) and I activated the check box for this in the settings. But after I run the synchronisation nothing happened, even the contact folder has been selected in the Contacts - MS Outlook Criteria settings. Do I have to do something else?

Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.

That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?

Add-Ins menu not visible in Crystal report for Sap Business One

Hi,
I have installed the Crystal Report Design for Sap Business One on my customer server.
But when I open the Crystal Report I can't see the Add-Ins menu to put the rpt directly on my Sap Business One.
I have installed it on many customer, but only with this I have this type of problem.
There is some restriction on Sap Version/Patches or Authorization Users or some check that I have to set on Sap or on Crystal Report?

i have the same issue on crystal report add-ins. Have you able to solve this without upgrading our sap business one to the latest version or patch level? Please see details below.

Crystal report 2011
Crystal report integration package installed under B1_SHare/Client
But still the problem persist on the workstation.

Can we add new Payment means in SAP Business One Payments

Can we new Payment means in SAP Business One Payments?
Currently, I am having 4 Payment means as Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer and Credit Card.
I need one more Payment means as Coupons.
These are the Discount coupons which will be issued to our regular customers on Purchase of amount above certain limit.

you can't add a payment means, but you can book the new payment means as an additional creditcard name for example "coupons"

User B1DE to deploy an add-on Created by SAP Business one studio for VS?

I created a SAP B1 addon by SAP Business one studio for Visual studio. And I use SAP B1DE to deploy my add-on. But unfortunately, the add-on cannot even started, can anyone guide me how to deploy the add-on?
The B1DE only works on deploying old tradition add-on. But we want to take advantage of the advanced SAP B1 Studio. It can save us a lot code and improve the efficiency a lot.

When I create my Add-On into SBO I have some issues.
Which program do I use to create an Add-On into SBO?
Is there a URL or Path where I find the program?
I am using a 2003 program which is built by my colleague.
I assume SAP provide the Add-On program for SAP Business One 2007

At a high level ...
1) VS2005
2) Compile your program
3) Generate and Add-on Identifier
4) Create a registration datafile
5) Create the setup program consisting of your .EXE and the .ARD file
6) Add-On is created and running in SBO
Again ... the details on deploying and packaging your add-on can be found in the SAP Business One SDK Help Center Documentation and the SDK eLearning.
Also, you can use B1DE using the Simple Installer or Professional Installer will do most of the work for you after you have coded the add-on.

I have exported the data from two sources, MS-Excel and SAP Business One to Sap Business One (8.81). While exporting the data, I got the error "The field is too small to accept the data you attempt to add. try inserting or pasting less data" for the first time, Immediately when I run it again, it shows export successfully completed, but nothing is changed in the SAP Business One. Could you please provide the solution as early as possible?

you need to use this :

DECLARE @Invoice varchar(100)
/*where*/
set @Invoice =/* T2.DocNum */N'[%2]'
you can change the tables and the parameter number but you have to write it exactly that way.
when you run the query within the SBO you will get list of objects ( in this case list of invoices)
