Has anybody had problems with the new Outlook for iOS app?
it will not recognise my username and password for my iCloud.com account. A Yahoo mail account works perfectly with the app.
i Am using version 1.0.3

Look at this user issue, have you experience this before? I have installed the outlook app, added similar accounts as hers and I was able to add the account successfully. Take a crack at it. Thanks!

Trouble with iCloud 2 factor authentication in outlook app

I am using 2 factor authentication on my iCloud account. I recently downloaded and setup Microsoft's new outlook app on my iPhone and iPad. I find it very useful for what I like to do. I added all of my email accounts as well as dropbox and other things with no issue (gmail, outlook, and dropbox have 2 factor enabled as well). I generated a passcode for iCloud on the 'manage apple ID' site. I inputted it into the iPhone first and it worked like a charm. Then, however, I did the same thing on my iPad. Initially, I generated a new passcode, and used that for the iPad. It worked, but then when I used the iPhone I got the message "We are having trouble accessing your account. Please login again." And it brings up the window to put in the passcode. I thought it might work if I used the same password for both the iPad and iPhone but the same thing happens. As soon as I put a passcode in one the other stops working.
Some more details in case it is relevant. I use outlook on the PC as well (also uses generated iCloud passcode), and it is unaffected. As I said, I use other accounts with 2 factor, and they all work fine on both the iPad and iPhone in the same app. I am using an iPhone 6 Plus and a 4th Gen iPad, both running iOS 8.1.3. I am nowhere near the maximum generated app passwords under iCloud. I am receiving an email each time I generate a passcode and it shows up in my history. I am giving the passcodes different names.

You'll have to create an App-specific password to work around this.
Go to: https://appleid.apple.com/account/home
Select: Manage your Apple ID
Log in with your credentials and if applicable your Verification Code
Select: Password and Security
Select: Generate an App-Specific password
You'll have to give the app a name. You can use the generated password for Outlook. You can use the same password on all of your iDevices that has Outlook for iOS if applicable.

mail don't get the customproperties value.

I think I have reproduced your issue. I created an app for office project, and used the code below:

If I use this in the received mail, I could get the value of the otherProp which I set original in the same email. But if I create a new email, set the otherProp, and send it, after I received it, I could not get the otherProp.

iCloud only syncs iCloud calendars.
If there is an app for viewing outlook calendars then maybe it needs installing everywhere.

So, is Microsoft's New Outlook App a Security Hazard?

Apparently, this app has been around for a long time branded as Accompli, but has only recently become more popular and high profile because Microsoft purchased the product and rebranded it as "Outlook."
I'm hearing it is a security hazard for corporate use, but Microsoft calling it Outlook makes it seem like it is intended for business use.
What are the real risks for domain users accessing their Exchange mail with this app for iOS and Android?
Since this is not even a new app, but has only become newly popular, I wonder what other similar mail apps are out there that have a lower profile and why Microsoft would release it before fixing these security issues?

yes,you can disable all phones not supporting active sync policy to be blocked.You find it under ECP - mobile - mailbox policy for mobile devices.
you can use this command to get all devices running new Android for Outlook app:

Outlook app problem

Hi All. Is anyone else having trouble with the Outlook App? I keep having to reboot the phone to establish connection to sync the email. I have it on push email and it worked fine with previous iteration of KitKat on Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Any suggestions?

This could be an app issue, try clearing the data for this app and then trying to use it.
Note: this will remove the current email address attached to it.
Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Outlook app > Clear Data

Current MS Outlook app on Apple App Store

Is the MS Outlook app on the Apple App Store been updated or is it still the Accompli branded one? If the app has been updated with addl security features, is there a comprehensive list of what features were added?

Outlook App for Ipad2?

Is there an App for the Ipad2 that more or less recreates Microsoft outlook for mail which I can sync with on my PC's and phones ( I use google sync ) ?

Yes, it's the Mail app that is built-in to the iPad.
If you set your email account up in that as either IMAP or Exchange following Google Sync's instructions, it will sync as it does with Outlook.

Outlook App Missing

Hi,
The calendar app is missing in my team sites when using a custom template.
The problem is while activating the SharePoint Server Publishing on a new Team Site.
I created a custom master template and have it applied on my site collection.
But if I activate the SharePoint Server Publishing on a new Team Site. All the Apps disappear from the team site.
I have the SharePoint Server Publishing, SharePoint Server Standard Site Features, SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Features and the Team Collaboration List Features Active in the Site Collection already.
Any idea what could be causing the calendar and the other apps no to be available when the SharePoint Server Publishing is activated? Any ideas or suggestion will be very appreciated.

According to your description, after you applied your custom master page and activate the SharePoint Server Publishing feature, all apps missing in the addanapp.aspx page.
Are there any custom scripts or CSS files you reference in this custom master page? Please check these files to see whether there are something would interfere with the built-in
scripts or CSS files.

Trying to sync outlook (hotmail) to my outlook app on desktop for mac, getting message:

This problem can be caused by incorrect account settings.
To adjust the account settings, follow these steps:
Open Outlook.
On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
On the left side of the window, select your email account.
In the Outgoing server box, enter the correct SMPT server information.
Make sure that override the SMTP port is selected. Enter
587 in the box.
Close the Window.

How do I change the password that connects my Outlook for iPhone app with my Exchange server?

I changed my domain password so I needed to change it on my iPhone Outlook app. I have looked everywhere I can think of, in the settings and everywhere else, and cannot find anything that will allow me to change the password. I had to uninstall and re-install.
This seems ridiculous to me.

I would very much like to get "the most qualified pool of respondents". However, in the link you supplied there is NO place to ask a question. There was someone who asked a similar question and the response was from a Microsoft Support Engineer pointing
him to yet another place "for better suggestions". This site is setup like some gigantic maze where when you can't answer a simple question like; Where can I change my domain password in the new Outlook App for iPhones? You pass us around until you
figure it out, or we give up, delete the app and start feeling like not everyone over at Microsoft has a brain. I apologize for the frustration level, but when I do this kind of thing for a living and it becomes this difficult, I can't imagine what most of

Outlook iOS app - Calendar Acceptance

If you create a calendar event in Outlook 2013 and then view it on the iOS Outlook app it asks you to accept the invite (at the bottom) even though you were the one who created it!
Pretty sure this is a bug, but if it's not can someone explain why this happens?

Yes it is possible. But, it does not then sync to OWA. Rather, it synchs to the desktop PIM (likely Outlook) on your PC (which just happens to replicate against the Exchange Server, which further replicates against OWA). See this KB:

Mail App won't Send Mail on Macbook Air, Outlook works fine

Mail app will no longer send, from my new 2011 Macbook Air with Lion. The MS Outlook app sends fine.

This was the answer:
This happened to me after updating to Lion. This is what I did.
When mail tries sending/receiving you'll see the spinning icon next to the trays on the left hand side. Whilst this is happening click onwindow>Connection Doctor. Find the offending account, red dot, double click on the account and in the window that opens check the details inAccount Information and Advanced are correct; mine weren't and when I corrceted them, all was well. These details semed to be different to those I had set in the Preferences pane of mail.

what this does is guide you through editing the smtp port list, which is a bit hard to locate on the accounts screen.
mail cycles through the possible smtp ports, which can take a VERY long time. Usually 587 is what you want, but in any case, pick one, see if it works, tell it not to cycle.
