Outlook - Calendar: all days have the dot marking appoinments
I sync from Outlook and i the iPod all days appear with the dot marking that there are appointements, and there are not.
Any ideas???
Hi Boneart - I feel for you.
I too have the same issue (Feb 2014) which I have just discovered today as I am not a strong user of all-day events, until today when I tried to schedule annual holidays in my diary. I can confirm the EXACT SAME issues that you have described with all-day events displacing 24 hrs EARLY for sync Outlook to iOS calendar, and all-day events displaced 24hrs LATE for sync iOS calendar to Outlook. I also confirm that the issue does not exist for specified time appointments, as you also found.
I note from several other discussion threads that Apple have previously focussed on an issue of all-day events syncing to span 2-days; that is not yet apparent in my situation BUT I will be watching with interest whether a subsequent synchronisation causes the displaced dates to also synchronise back providing the same event apparently spanning 2 days but ACTUALLY existing as two events with identical properties on successive days.
One oddity is that I also operate in the NZ time zone; I wonder if that is significant???
For a brief period I trialled iCloud with a thrid-party patch to resolve the native iCloud issue of not providing 2-way synch with Outlook. That worked beautifully ... until Apple provided an update to the iCloud interface which destroyed all functionality for me. I'm back to hard-wire sync via USB wire again. Very frustrating!!
Finally it is sad that Apple has no interest in these issues. It strikes me that as soon as there is a non-Apple platform involved they blame the other system and wash their hands of it.

Month View - all days have dots
Dear all,
I just synced my iphone 3g calendar with Microsoft Outlook Calendar. the problem is that in the Month View of the Iphone 3g calendar, all days have dots including those days that do not have calendar entries. Is there a way to fix this?

In the last week when changing test notes in Outlook appointments or all day events, the changes appear on my PC, Iphone & Ipad, but when I print my calendar they do not print. I get the old text or deleted text from the printer copy of my calendar. What is going on?

Since I updated to 7.0.3 on my iphone 5, the battery drains by noon with little to no use. the battery would last all day before the update. Help. Thnx.

Calendar All Day Events, Calculated Columns, Timezone and DayLight Savings - Issues

I have a calendar where I am trying to display in one column using a calculated field (TitleWithTimes):
Start time (only display time) - End Time (only display time) : Title i.e. 00:00 - 23:59 : Test Event
So I add an all day event to the calendar for this month (February), it appears correctly:
i.e. 00:00 - 23:59 : Test Event 1
I am based in the UK so my time zone is currently GMT/UTC.
However if I add any all day events to the calendar in April when the time zone switches to GMT+1, the start and end times appear incorrect.
i.e 01:00 - 00:59 : Test Event 2
Field: TitleWithTimes
=TEXT([Start Time],"hh:mm")&" - "&TEXT([End Time],"hh:mm")&" : "&Title
This issue only occurs with ALL Day Events when the events are scheduled for a in the period of the year where the Time Zone becomes GMT + 1. My regional settings everywhere in SharePoint are correct as are all the SharePoint servers.
I have done lots of searching and troubleshooting to try and resolve this issue but it appears nobody has found a reliable fix for this issue with calculated fields, all day events and time zones? Does anyone have any ideas of workarounds?

I understand that you had issues about the calculated field in calendar.
This is a reproducible issue, when creating an all day event, the calculate column based on the Start Time/End Time is different from the original column value. The date is stored in SQL in GMT time and is displayed in SP in the correct time in lists. So
returning the start time in a calculated column for an all day event returns the start time in GMT time, which is not the current time most likely.
As a workaround, you can regenerate the calculate column to add one day/minus one day based on whether the event is an all day event, or create a workflow to copy the start time column to your created date/time column.

Synchronizing Outlook Calendar – Bold days
Hi!
When I synchronize the phone (Nokia 9300) with MS Outlook 2000 the appointments are correctly transferred from the phone to the outlook calendar, BUT days with appointments does not show in bold in the outlook calendar.
However, if the appointment is changed in the outlook calendar (changing the starting time, for instance) and saved after that, the day will then show in bold.
Does anybody have an idea about how to solve this?

I just "solved" this problem for a client using the information on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197483:
- Start Outlook with the flag /cleanfreebusy
- Bold dates will be fixed
It seems that the bold dates would only not appear if Outlook was open during the synchronisation, by the way.

ICal + iPhone + Exchange 2003 + Outlook 2007 + "all day" Events 7 hours off
Whenever an ALL DAY event is created on either the iPhone or iCal when the event is synced thru Entourage and into the Exchange Server and into Outlook 2007 the appointments are off -7 hours which I believe works out to GMT with Daylight savings time kicked in. Times are correct in Entourage. Correcting the time (making it an ALL DAY event) in Outlook 2007 and the resulting re-syncing does not impact Entourage, iCal or the iPhone. Since iPhone is syncing via iCal as the first step, I believe the issue is with iCal no the iPhone.
Time Zone Support is OFF on iCal and the iPhone.

iTunes updated to 7.3.2.6
iCals ver 2.0.5.1069

ThanksThis had no impact on the problem. I have confirmed that this is an issue with iCal and not the iPhone. An all day appointment on for example August 15 created in iCal shows up correctly in Entourage syncing to an Exchange Server. However, when the appointment propogates to Outlook 2007, the All Day event now displays as from 7:00 pm August 14 to 7:00 pm on August 15.
Time Zone support has no impact regardless of setting on iCal.
Close inspection of the Event in Outlook shows ALL DAY is selected but the greyed out times are from 7 to 7 as described above. -

the default - "all day" or "time based" - depends on the view in iCal. In month view the default is "all day",
in week view or day view it is a time interval, if you use "File -> New Event". If you add the event by double clicking into the calendar, it will depend on the section you are clicking - in the all day section you will add an all-day event, in the time-grid you will enter an event with start-end time.

I believe I have implemented it correctly but I am not receiving the notifications on my phone. I have an ad hoc provisioning profile set up. I have the device token from the phone through NSLOG to console. I have the dot net code running without errors.The notifications just don’t appear.
Any ideas where I am going wrong?IMAP account access by itself does not provide for syncing contacts, calendar events, and notes or anything over the air. This is possible with an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync with the Exchange Server.
If your company email account is an Exchange Account, your company's IT Dept. has enabled IMAP account access for your Exchange account on the Exchange server?
If an Exchange account, the IT Dept. must have ActiveSync enabled for your account on the Exchange Server to create and access the account as an Exchange account which provides Push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for contacts and calendar events with the Exchange Server. -

I solved it myself!
Found that in "info" on the ipod sync page, "Sync Contacts....", "Sync Calendars..." and "Sync mail accounts...." had become unticked -
I have family plan of 5 iphones and all them have the same apple id, the q. is how I can set each one with their own apple id? please advise...

Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.

Is there a way to sort a PDF file with multiple pages by a specific field within the PDF? All pages have the same invoice format and i would like to sort by a field within and then print the documents. (Vendor, PO#, Date, ect.)
When you say field, do you mean specifically a form field, such as a text field? Or is the information regular text on the page?
