Outlook Calendar Appointments Deleted on Synch

Is there any way to not have the Desktop Manager delete past appointments from Outlook when synching the calendar? I changed my selection to "synch all appointments", but it still wants to delete over 60 appointments?!? Any help would be appreciated!

Good evening
What I have done to alleviate the problem is: When you sync, click on configuration>two way sync>Instad of "Transfer all scheduled items, I checked the box that reads:Transfer of items within a range of....
I typed in 60 days prior and 180 days after.  You can type in whatever number you need . So far, it has worked OK.
Hope this helps
Good Luck

  • Trying to coordinate Groupwise, Blackberry and Outlook Calendar appointments

I am attempting to transfer appointments from Novell Groupwise to my Blackberry 8830 and ultimately synch with MS Outlook at home. I set a rule in Groupwise to delegate all appointments to my Blackberry. I receive the appointments and I can accept it (and subsequently enter it in my device calendar). When I try to synch with my home computer, the GW appointments do not transfer. I have also set the device to override the Outlook calendar during a synch but still no luck....any thoughts?

    Hi there atwoo1bc,
You may want to look into the Time Zone Support settings on your iPhone. The article below has more information.

  • Calendar Appointments Deleted

I am having trouble with my calendar appointments all disappearing.  It has happened several times over the last two months.  Sometimes the battery has been low, and other times the battery has been full.  I deleted several apps and it's still happening.  I added a micro SD card and it still happened.  I removed the Sd card and it still happened.  The calendar is one of the biggest reasons that I bought a Blackberry and this is a huge problem.  Any ideas of how to fix the problem?  Thanks!

  • Outlook Calendar Appointments

Is there any way to view/accept/decline meeting requests generated from Outlook Calendar. They come accross as a grayed out attachment.
    Thanks....

It is not possible on the iPhone at this time.

  • My outlook calendar will no longer synch with my iphone. how is this fixed?

my calendar was synching fine until recently and now nothing is updating on it. All itunes and iphone updates are up to date.

I just experienced something similar to this. What version of Outlook are you using? Is everything else in Outlook syncing correctly, i.e. contacts, notes? If so, it is probably a corrupt appointment that is causing the problem. You may have to delete all of the appointments and re-enter them (That is what I had to do). It isn't bad if you only have a few, but can be worse if you have a lot.
You can try and reset the sync history in iTunes. Go to Edit, Preferences, then Devices, and click on Reset sync history. If that doesn't help, you will have to delete appointments. You can print them off in Outlook so you don't loose them completely, but a manual re-entry may be in your future.

  • Outlook Calendar Appointments Not Showing in BlackBerry Calender after Sync

Can anyone tell me why my Outlook Address Book refuses to sync to my BlackBerry calendar...I've looked over my sync settings in Desktop Manager, but it's still not taking the appointments in my BlackBerry handheld!!
    Thanks

    Hi,
The default calendar is the device calendar, Items synced to it will not sync correctly to the desktop.
    1) Delete your email addresses from the device.
    2) Use the link below to clear the calendar database.
    3) Recreate the email address that you want to be associated with your main calendar.
    4) Go to default services and make sure that your email address for the main calendar is specified
in the CICAL and CMIME entries. Save it.
    5) In desktop manager, specify a one way sync from Outlook to Device for the calendar only.
    6) Once successful, check the main email calendar and make sure all records are there.
    7) Run the synch for each category separately until you have all data correct on the BB.
    8) Recreate the second email address.
    9) Send service books.
10)The BB now has all calendar entries in the correct email main calendar, with no records in another.
11)On the PC, delete the intellisync folder, and reconfigure the setup wizard for normal 2 way sync.
    Thanks,

  • Outlook Calendar entries won't synch to z30

Why does my Z30 not get all of my Outlook events when I synch one way from computer to device?
    Solved!

Found a tip in the Knowledge Base that worked for me.
"In some cases, deselecting Calendar and synchronizing Contacts only or deselecting Contacts and synchronizing Calendar, may result in a successful synchronization. "

  • Outlook Calendar Appointments Missing - My Fix.

I had the wonderful disappearing, but apparently still there outlook (my version 2007) appointment issue. When trying to add a recurring appointment to a slot that was filled with an invisible recurring appointment, I got an error message - "Interface not Registered", so looking that up on the web, although it generally referred to email errors involving word, the fix was to type:
    Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll
in the run box (re-register the dll) - I figured what the ****. And omg, the calendar is perfect again (for at least 15 minutes now, lol). Hope this helps someone.

I should probably also mention that I have tried Reset Sync History and Add-ins solutions available from Apple (here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692)

  • Why won't my iPhone receive updates to Outlook Calendar appointments?

I am able to receive an Outlook appointment request on my iPhone. It appears as an attachment called something like "mime-attachment.ics". When I click this, details of the event pop up and I am able to add it to my calendar. Works like a charm. The problem I'm having now is, if the appointment is updated in Outlook and updates are then sent to attendees, I receive the email with an attachment again BUT instead of the details being updated, it appears exactly the same as the original event (same date, same time) instead of showing the new event information.
Does anyone know a way around this that does not involve syncing... iTunes... none of that nonsense...??!

It seems the recurring theme on these types of problems is the use of a POP email account. Something originates in corrupting or blunting the full affect of an ics event from Outlook through this method.
I guess just thinking about it, this makes some sense in that Microsoft has probably not fully developed their ActiveSync to work properly with POP accounts, especially w/in Mac OS (if you use that). It's understandable that their motivation is towards Exchange interoperability and even further, the need to support an "old" technology like POP.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but perhaps you'll just have to continue to work around this until your migration to Exchange is complete.

  • IPhone hour ahead, outlook calendar appointments hour behind after syncing

Whenever I sync my iPhone it jumps an hour ahead and all the appointments in Microsoft Outlook 2007 are suddenly shifted an hour back.
First, I checked the time zones on my iPhone and on my computer and they were correct.
Second, I turned off time zone support and auto update on my iPhone. Still the problem exisits.
Third, thank god the times of the appointments in the iPhone are not effected.
I've combed this forum looking for answers, nothing has worked.
    Please help.
I can handle the e-mail problems, but this is too much.

Well, I feel like an idiot, but sometimes the biggest problems have the simplest solutions. I actually did not have my PC set to adjust for daylight savings time. So I turned it on, then had to manually set the clock back an hour. Now the appointments in Outlook are at the correct time and when I sync my iPhone it no longer moves ahead one hour after.
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Can ADRMS encrypt MS Outlook Calendar appointments / invites?

We are using ADRMS and regularly encrypt email and email attachments. But we also have a need to encrypt calendar invites. For example a doctor sending another doctor a calendar
invite to discuss patient xyz heart condition which would make that invite contain PHI and PII.
I don’t think ADRMS has this ability to encrypt the calendar invite but I hope I am just missing something.
Our environment is using Exchange 2003 and 2007 and just recently went to Ad RMS from RMS both are on premises installations.
Does Microsoft have any plans to include the ability to encrypt calendar invites?
    James

    Hi James -
Unfortunately, RMS cannot be used to encrypt calendar invites.  Microsoft is aware that this is an issue but I am not aware of any concrete plans to add this functionality.
    I hope that helps,

  • How do I re-synch Outlook calendar?

My outlook calendar on laptop was synched to my iPhone when I first got the phone, but after a system update on the phone ...no go.  The phone SAYS all calendars are synched, but the one I actually use--which isn't the one installed on the Mac-- isn't.... any ideas?   I prefer to use Outlook a) because of it's format, and b) because I tend to be making appts via email, so I want to use the same program for both thing.

    litwit97,
I want to make sure get your back up and running with the features you are accustomed too. Have you tried re-syncing the Outlook Calender to verify all information was saved? Which calender application are you using?

  • Outlook Calendar stopped syncing with iPhone Calendar

I deleted a recurrent event on my iPhone and this action appears to have confused the sync capability between my iPhone and MS Outlook Calendar.
Outlook still tries to find the recurrent event on start-up even though it is not shown in Outlook Calendar.
More concerning is that new events and changes in Outlook Calendar are no longer syncing with iPhone Calendar. The time to complete the Calendar sync activity is noticeably longer than any of the other sync actions, which suggests that there is a problem.
I have been through the restore routine in iTunes and also attempted to replace all the Outlook Calendar data on the iPhone using the Advanced facility on the iTunes Info tab.
I appreciate that this may be an Outlook issue but are there any other things that I can try to restore the sync capability between the 2 Calendars.
All other sync functions appear to work ok - I have created and deleted Contact data from both Outlook and iPhone and this works fine.
    Grateful for any help!

I'm not sure if this will work for you. It seems every time I research a problem, everyone has a different solution that doesn't work for everyone. (I just spent an hour and a half searching for a solution in various forums.) But this one just worked for me.
I went into iTunes, into the Devices page for my iPhone, then to the Info tab. I unchecked Sync Calendars with Outlook. A pop-up appeared saying, I believe (I didn't write it down) "Do you want to delete previously synced calendars on the iPhone" - or words to that effect. Since I hadn't entered anything directly into the iPhone calendar in a while, I clicked Okay. Then I clicked on Apply (lower right corner of iTunes). The iPhone synced, and all appointments disappeared from the iPhone calendar. I then rechecked Sync Calendars with Outlook, clicked Apply, and the iPhone synced once again - and all my Outlook calendar appointments appeared on the iPhone.
This was, I admit, after having deinstalled all Apple software from my PC and reinstalling it. That didn't work on its own (still couldn't sync calendars), but I don't know for sure whether it had something to do with the success of the de-sync / re-sync.
Good luck. These solutions always seem to be hit-and-miss.

  • Calendar appointments blocking my alarm clock alerts

    Hey all,
Have imported my Outlook calendar appointments into iPhone so have tons of appointments (and their associated reminder alerts) in my iPhone calendar. It seems as though if an appointment reminder alert goes off when I'm asleep in the middle of the night, the reminder alert is actually preventing my iPhone alarm clock from going off the next morning.
After having missed a few morning appointments because of this, I noticted that upon unlocking my iPhone the next morning, the alarm would THEN go off, even if this was literally hours after it was supposed to ring.
Any ideas as to how to prevent this? Other than literally deleting every appointment out of my iPhone calendar going forward, can't seem to figure out how to prevent this from happening again. Thx in advance for any help.
    -Jose

Nice to know I'm not the only one! This just happened to me this morning and I thought it was wierd too. Make sure you submit a bug report to get Apple's attention on this, it needs to be fixed.
