Outlook calendar crash

Hi, I've synchronised my 6230i using PC Suite with Outlook. My contacts are fine but any attempt to open outlook's calendar crashes outlook, the only solution being to close and re-open it. Anyone had this problem and found a way of recovering the calendar?

It happens to me too.
I've got the latest software.

  • Outlook 2013 crashes when opening Calendar search result

I have a user who uses her Outlook 2013 calendar extensively, mainly to note for herself when she has spoken to a customer, and creating appointments for when she needs to speak to them again. (This is outside of our policy to note the contact in
MS CRM.) She can have scores of such Calendar items each day.
When seraching for these appointments in her Calendar, she gets the list of results, but Oulook crashes when she tries to open any of them. Sometimes Outlook restarts on its own, sometimes she must relaunch it herself.
Related threads reference a wwlib.dll error, but she is not getting that. It is Outlook.exe itself that is crashing. There are other threads that reference other open windows, or items containing webpages or tables, but these do not apply to her, either.

On answers.microsoft.com, Girish M (Support Engineer who eventally directed me here), asked me to run Scanpst.exe. I would paste the results here, but this window does not seem to allow pasting. A summary description of what it found on her .ost file (no
.pst in use) is basically this:
    **Beginning NDB recovery
      **Attempting to open database
      **Attempting to validate header
      **Attempting to validate AMap
      **Attempting to validate BBT
      **Attempting to validate NBT
      **Attempting to validate BBT refcounts
??Couldint find BBT entry in the RBT (E025CC)
**Attempting to validate header NID high-water marks
    **Beginning PST/OST recovery
**Attempting to recover all top-level objects
        **Store created by biuld: 15.4517
      **Attempting to walk all folders
Failed to add row to the FLT, RowID = 719
Failed to add row to the FLT, RowID = 6CD
Failed to add row to the FLT, RowID = 6DE
Failed to add row to the FLT, RowID = 6D8
and so on, and so on, with a few hundred more FLT RowID errors, finally ending with:
**Attempting to locate any orphaned folders/messages
      **Performing Final HMP validation
**Attempting to check top-level objects for consistency
      **Updating folder hierarchy
      **Verifying message moves
My understanding of the Scanpst.exe process is that it also disables any addons which might cause crashing, but the issue is still being experienced. Running Scanpst.exe a second time (appending the previous log, although it seemed to actually prepend the
file) only returned a few lines from the top of the result above ending with "Attempting to validate BBT."
Fixes not attempted yet that I have found performing searches include running the Office Repair tool, or checking for KB2817631 (a Word update that is apparently having adverse affects on Outlook, not attempted yet because it seems to be related to the wwlib.dll
error, which is not happening here).
    Any thoughts out there? Thanks!

    Mavis,
Thanks for the reply. Running Outlook using /cleansharing and
/cleanroamedprefs did not have any effect when used individually or in combination with each other.
Running the Search Index Rebuild option also did not seem to do anything, as the pop-up message indicated that it may take a long time to finish, and yet seemed to finish instantaneously, not giving any indication that the indexing took place. The option
window immediately said "Indexing complete" for 23,755 items.
As to the Outlook Forum, they are the ones who directed me to this forum (you can see the thread on the Answers support page under Office - Office 2013 - Microsoft Office Outlook - Office on Windows 7, under the title "Outlook 2013 restarts when
opening Calendar Search result item" first posted on Dec 11, 2013), as Girish M felt that it might be due to Exchange, and not Outlook. (I have no reports of any of our other users on the same Exchange server having the problem with their Outlook, but
they also do not use it the way this user has been.)
I can repost the issue there, or continue the same thread, if you think the issue lies with them. Was the "Answers" site the improper place to post, perhaps? Should it go in a different thread on Technet instead?
    Thanks for your assistance!

  • Outlook 2013 crashes when collapsing shared calendar

The following issues occurs when viewing shared calendars with Outlook 2013. It occurs on multiple workstations and with multiple users.
When collapsing a shared calendar by clicking the arrow to the left of the calendar name, if one or more users of the shared calendar are selected (i.e. the box next to their name is checked), the Outlook screen will appear to refresh the screen repeatedly
whilst the cursor flashes rapidly. Outlook then crashes and has to be re-started.
The work-around is to de-select any selected users of the shared calendar before collapsing it, but we cannot reasonably expect users to remember this.
Is there a fix for this issue? Others have had the same issue (see http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/419634-outlook-2013-stops-responding-when-trying-to-collapse-a-group-of-calendars).
Running outlook in safe mode makes no difference.
    Thanks

  • Syn with Outlook Calendar and crashing Windows 8

Oh I am not happy - Hundreds of hours have been spend looking searching and re-loading software to get my Q10 to syn my window 8 outlook calendar.  Crash after crash or the Link will not open.  What do I need to do to solve this?

Well there are many issues with Outlook but the crashing does indicate a issue with Windows.
Check this link and consider doing a REFRESH
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
Believe me I totally understand what you are going through as I am returning today a brand new 2 week old laptop for replacement since my BB will not connect to it, was up all night, have not slept in over 24 hours.

  • Outlook 2013 crashes when clicking calendar icon to get to the calendar

When clicking the calendar icon, Oulook 2013 crashes and leaves this event:
Faulting application name: OUTLOOK.EXE, version: 15.0.4551.1004, time stamp: 0x5253ab76
Faulting module name: OUTLOOK.EXE, version: 15.0.4551.1004, time stamp: 0x5253ab76

    Report Id: 25f2f8e0-5de1-11e3-aa96-b8ca3a76ef90
Faulting module is OUTLOOK.exe so I don't know what to look for. I have done the following:
    Ran outlook in safe mode
    Ran outlook without addons
    Created a new mail profile
Repaired Office 2013, also uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2013
    Cleared temp files
I am not sure why this is crashing and I don't see any hints in the event viewer logs or in the error report that was created. It just says that Oulook crashed but has no indication. What can I look for in these logs to find a culprit?

    Hello,
Did you try to create a new mail profile without exchange account?
Besides, I recommend you use CalCheck to check Outlook Calendars for problems.
And then you can delete corrupt calendar item or use Calendar Repair Assistant to repair the corrupt calendar item.
Here is the blog for your reference.

  • Mix between MS Outlook Calendar and Mac Contacts - how I got to work

I've tried to mix my work PC computer with Microsoft Outlook Calendar with my Mac based iPhone. This is how I did it. Can this be done by mobileme?
For Now it this works with Outlook over USB.
My Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 windows XP within firewall is now synchronized to my Phone
It now works great .. even if not wireless [can live with that..at least for now] and even if attachment does not sync no pdf, word, excel or pictures in the notes is synchronized.
Amazingly simple, I'm sure I tried this before ..but maybe the 2.01 changed something or iTunes 7.7.1 ..
    My set up
I have my master mac synced to the iPhone itself i.e. iPod/music and pictures
I have my contacts and mail synced as MobileMe.
I Turned off the iCal MobileMe
I connected the office laptop with usb connector to iPhone. ..it asks for where/how to sync photos. [To turn this off: On PC go to Control panel- Scanners & Hardware - Cameras. Select "Apple iPhone" ] and opens ITunes.
ITunes ask what to do since my iPhone is linked with another computer.. I click merge, make sure nothing on the iTunes is selected ..more than calendar and outlook.
Appears to sync fawlessy and update both to and from iPhone… subject and location and notes sync but no attachment. Notes have a characther limit. with a meeting request, I do not seam to be able to access participants. With alarm set this pops up even with screen/iPhone locked similar to how a SMS is displayed
It appears that most of the time I need to reconnect because ITunes reports "ITunes cannot sync information because sync has been disabled…Do you want to enable syncing" Clicking OK appears to fix it i.e. at least fix it temporarily
Syncing with MS Outlook works with it running but also when not running.
The first sync took some time, possibly because it also backs up the iPhone [some 10gb data]. Repeated sync takes a minute or less
..and in atypical PC fashion you need to restart iTunes and disconnect iPhone from time to time.
    Great!

The HP applications no longer work under Snow Leopard. Support for printing and scanning with HP devices is now built in to the OS. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669. Updated HP drivers are available at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
I was unsure about which HP software to delete so I used the HP uninstall app to delete it all. Unfortunately, it deleted the new Snow Leopard installed drivers as well. I then had to download the HP driver set from Apple to restore functionality. Printing is just as it was before, but scanning is done differently and feels a bit strange at first. All in all, it is probably a good thing as I always found HP's software to be a bit clunky and crash prone. I do miss being able to scan from within Photoshop via the TWAIN selection, though. Perhaps that will return in time.

  • How to Fix iPad Calendar Crashes after iOS 5.0.1 Update

Please help if you understand this technical mumbo jumbo.  Absolutely nothing I have tried is able to restore a functioning Calendar on my iPad.  Calendar crashes every single time as soon as it opens and is completely UNUSABLE.  This not some third party app.  This is APPLE'S own Calendar APP.  You think it should work with their own OS but apparently not.  I am extremely ****** off.

    I did - sort of. I realized that obviously there was some calendar invite or meeting I received from a source (in this case Google) that was causing the app to crash. Here's what I did;
Made backup of iPad in iTunes
    Disabled All calendar syncs
Re-enabled one at a time, checked iCal, and if it crashed I found the offending account causing it (in my case - Google)
Went to my google account to find whatever meetings I had there, made manual note of them, then deleted them from Google.
Went into iPad, turned on syncing again for Google calendars, then checked - no crash (and no meetings, either)
Added in via the iPad the meetings that needed to be there to alert me
I know - it's a pain in the arse - but I think I narrowed the problem to be some people sending me invites with .ics files generated from Lotus notes and forwarded to my gmail account, where I add it to my calendar from there. I have yet to have an Outlook/Exchange invite sent to me that crashes my iPad. What I've done since then while I have an Exchange account:
Create a personal calendar in my Outlook (which connects to an exchange server)
I get the invite in my gmail account
I access my gmail account from my Outlook (just add your gmail as an IMAP account)
Add it to the PERSONAL calendar I previously added to Outlook.
When that syncs - it works like a champ
If you're not using Outlook at all, I would think the first 6 steps would apply. There is an option in "Advanced" under iTunes sync at the bottom that says to delete all calendar information on the iPad BEFORE it updates all the meetings. You may want to do this too in order to make sure the offending entries are whacked.
    Hope this helps.

  • Itunes/Outlook Calendar Syncing Issue - UTF-8 Flavor

I have had the usual and much discussed issue of outlook calendar does not sync with iTunes. The recommendations have been to remove iTunes and re-install, even blow away all the configuration files as well, and it even worked for me once. But not this time.
I was running Windows XP, and all of a sudden the Outlook 2007 calendar just stopped syncing. I upgraded from XP to 8.1, and that was not fun, but inevitable, and still didn’t correct the problem. Now, if you never upgraded from XP to 8.1 – you can’t – at least it is not a direct flight. First, you have to upgrade from XP to 8.0, then from 8.0 to 8.1, and there is no upgrade in place from XP to 8.0. So what does an upgrade in place mean? Your applications and profiles are not carried over. Just your data (if you ask nicely) is carried over – but all applications have to be re-installed from scratch, and reactivated if there was license activation.
So, forget about re-install of iTunes, I changed OS, reinstalled iTunes and Office 2007 from scratch. And still had the syncing problem. So, I wasn’t getting off easy.
In searching, I found some debugging stuff which I tried, as follows to turn on logging:
    So, I ran the following:
    cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\
    defaults write com.apple.Outlook.client.exe ShouldLog YES
    defaults write -globalDomain SyncServicesLogEverything YES
    defaults write -globalDomain SyncServicesLogPersonalInfo YES
And this turned on a lot of tracing. The tracing helped me understand what was going on under the covers, But I am not sure I was getting enough of the information that I needed to really zero in on the bad record.
Now, I will pause and provide some observation of my specific Sync.
An iTunes Sync on a Windows machine when using Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer is selected on the INFO tab of the page for the device.
Selections include Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks and Notes.
One of the programs involved with Outlook Synchronization is: com.apple.Outlook.client.exe
The program is called when Outlook data needs to be accessed, and is used for contacts, calendar and notes when those items are paired between the iDevice and Outlook. Bookmarks are usually paired with the browser, for example IE.
During the sync operation, each of these are sync’d separately, that is why if you follow the sync actions, iTunes will reflecting what is being synced at the moment, for example “syncing contacts”.
When syncing the calendar, and iTunes is running a slow sync, it reads the Outlook calendar using the com.apple.Outlook.client.exe and does processing of the recursion and time zone information.
    For example, for recurrence:
    [5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:30:59 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] Setting recurrence data <04300430 0d200200 000000ae 06000c00 00000000 00000400 00002120 0000e703 00000000 00000000 00000000 0000a0e7 980cc016 d10c0630 00000830 00000000 0000a005 00000000 00000000 00000000>
    [5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:30:59 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] 0 recurrence exceptions
    [5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:30:59 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] Reading the Extended Exception Info (i.e. Unicode data)
    [5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:30:59 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] Done making compatible recurrence
    For example, for timezone:
[5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:30:43 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] Could not create a time zone from outlook name, tried using name (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Then the calendar entries are pushed, for example:
    ca965dbc4717d9488fafc9266f1f829304082700 =     {
            "all
    day" = 1;
            calendar
    =         (
                ca965dbc4717d9488fafc9266f1f829382800000
    "com.apple.outlook.freebusy" = Free;
    "com.apple.syncservices.RecordEntityName" = "com.apple.calendars.Event";
            "end date" = "2020-05-11 12:00:00 +0000";
            location = "United States";
            "start date" = "2020-05-10 12:00:00 +0000";
            summary = "Mother's Day";
So, my SYNC fails, and I crash and burn with:
[5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:41:22 2014] [_ISDVLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] SyncServices assertion failure (nil != strUTF8) in [(null) (null)], SDLogging.m:641 could not obtain UTF-8 flavor of formatted string
    [5484 @ Tue Jul 01 10:41:23 2014] [YSLog com.apple.Outlook.client.exe] objcMain caught an exception:
    name
    NSInternalInconsistencyException
    reason     : [(null)
(null)]: could not obtain UTF-8 flavor of formatted string
    user info  : (null)
    call stack : (
Now I’m back. So, during the extract and push of the outlook calendar entries, iTunes is building formatted strings. Now, Unicode is usually 16 bit (2 characters) Unicode, sometimes called double byte code. UTF-8 is single byte, so realize you can’t squeeze 16 bits into a 8 bit byte. However, you could if the Unicode string only contained characters that were valid for the UTF-8 character set. My interpretation of the error message above was that somewhere a formatted character string contained a “non-UTF-8” character and raised the assertion. Now, my issue with the excessive detailing from the logs was that – at least with the logging parameters I had turned on – I couldn’t figure out which calendar entry caused the exception to be thrown.
First instinct was  that the last calendar entry in the trace was the culprit, so I deleted that calendar entry, ran again, the sync went up to the previous entry, and threw the exception. This gives me two theories: Either the sync was processing the next entry – which wasn’t printed in the trace yet – and failed, or the sync was going back to previous records – like reviewing the buffer. In either case, the trace wasn’t helping and it was all theories.
Now what? What has everyone been saying? Issues with recurrence. And in the trace, as you see above as an example, “0 recurrence exceptions”, “reading the extended exception info (i.e. Unicode data)”.
Now, I have no clue what that means. My initial guess was that recurrence exceptions (I had non-zeros on some) was an error. But further research I realized what it could mean was that these were situations where there were recurrence exceptions. What is a recurrence exception? Suppose I want to schedule a meeting on the 4th day of the month, for every month of the year. Well, except maybe July 4th, because it is a holiday and the office is closed. I would send the meeting invite, and then a cancellation for the July 4th. (I hear there is no simple way to do this). I now have an exception because I broke the recurrence chain. Other forms of exceptions is if I keep changing the location, or the body of the invite – e.g. every month I update the agenda, but only for one recurrence, not the entire series.
So, keep in mind,  that if the issue is conversion to a UTF-8 character, and it is failing, then uninstall/reinstall of anything is not going to help if the real issue at hand is the data in Outlook and is not a coding or configuration issue. Now, sometimes it is an issue, but you need to see why the syncserver tasks are failing, and may fail due to other reasons including other data issues.
So, what did I do? Well IO have 15K calendar entries, which, was taking an hour or two to slow sync (I call it a slow dance) and I was, spending days (maybe a couple of weeks) trying to fix this – and frustration was on the high end.
I removed some of my older recurrences, and changed others from never expire to like 25 maximum occurrences. No idea which one worked, or even if it was a coincidence. However, the UTF-8 error went away, and then I moved to the next issue.
Now, before we get there, with outlook 2007 finding recurrences is not difficult. Go into the calendar, and select appointment or list view (Outlook 2013 list view works ok). You can then sort on the recurrence column and see which (if any) items gave a recurrence pattern. Now maybe someone can figure out specific BAD calendar items that are throwing the exception to give us a better idea of what to look for and then report it so we can do further research.
Now, once we can get the issue out of the way, stop iTunes from throwing an exception, we are not 100% done yet. By this time what is in Outlook and on the iDevice is out of sync. We need to get that message to popup asking us if we want to merge the data between the iDevice and Outlook. This can be important if you don’t want to lose data. My issue is that with iTunes 11.2.2 for some reason won’t do it, i.e. when I select “reset sync history” it doesn’t work. At that point I was forced to rename my iTunesprefs, the syncserver folder, and a few other folders. In this case, for Windows 7 and later, the folders in “Apple Computer” of both the local and roaming paths, and I had to cancel running tasks that had those folders open. One way or another, you want the iTunes message asking if you want to merge the folders.
What can you do to help?
Report success or failures using the information above
Report if you are getting the same UTF-8 message, or if you are seeing other exceptions
Report specific cases of calendar entries that you find that you have isolated to be throwing an exception
Report any other logging/tracing parameters that you may find. It looks like you can turn on “ShouldLog” using the defaults.exe command for other tasks that iTunes runs.
This syncing issue has been going on for years, under different iTunes versions, there has to be something going on and an easier way to troubleshoot this problem. I wish I had the time, but right now I fixed the problem I had and was able to resync my Outlook with my two iPads and iPhone.
The only issue I have left at the moment is the message “the ipad xxx cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-54). – despite this error message, I am syncing, but the message is distracting and annoying.

Yes - both have time zone support and are set to London/GMT
The most recent of these aberrations was not even crossing a DST change - just a simple recurring event (which I've manually changed to single events by copy/paste).
I just tried a new one which goes back 1 hr 27 Oct - when UK clocks go back. As it's a dummy apt I'll leave it and see if if goes back to the correct time on 27 Oct! In the meantime, I can't afford for my appts to get screwed up so will continue to do them manually!
    Thanks for your input.

  • Sync Outlook Calendar with iPod doesn't work with iTunes 7?

Ever since I've upgraded to iTunes 7, when I try to sync my Outlook Calendar with my iPod - either Outlook crashes or it says it's doing it, but the calendar on my iPod is now blank even when I have things scheduled on my calendar.
Is there any fix or work around for this? Is anyone aware of this problem?

This is meant with a bit of humor in the first part of my response to illustrate why polls asking for people not having a problem can be inaccurate here. Then I will get into some suggestions that are more techical in nature.
If you walk to the waiting room at your local hospital's emergency room, and ask is there anybody here who is waiting to see the Doctors who is not sick or injured, please speak up. If everything was working, would you be here to post?
If you turn off Outlook Syncing, and turn it back on, do you get the Windows security screen? It might pop up under the iTunes 7 window. There is a screenshot of the window I am referring to here:

  • I cannot sync Microsoft Outlook Calendar with iCloud in Windows 7...

When I go to open my Calendars in Outlook, the program crashes and kicks me out...  I looked in the iCloud/Calendar program - it tells me I have an unsupported browser...  downloaded the recommended Sarafi browser, but it doesn't help.  This all began when I needed to change my apple i.d.  I did so, and then went to update iCloud.  Then I deleted the other iCloud account and added the new one, the problem began.  Any ideas???  Thanks!

When I first began using an iphone in 2008 I had mobile me.  It allowed me to sync between my iphone and my PC and on my PC I had Outlook.  It would sync both my calendar and contacts, which was important for me.  When icloud came along it generated and icould calendar.  I still have my outlook calendar, which is my default.  I have made my icloud my main calendar and since it is in outlook it works fine for me.  If someone sends me a meeting notice and I accept it goes to my outlook default calendar, not icloud.  I just drag it over to my icloud and everything synchs for me.  I view several different calendars in Outlook.  One from a group I belong to that uses gmail, one that uses a .ics.  I may be viewing several calendars, but they all show up on my phone, PC and macbook.  If someone wants just one, then my system will not work.
Since my primary calendar is icloud and it appears in Outlook it is no different for me.
While this may not work for everyone it has worked for me for several years.
I can enter dates or contacts on my phone, macbook or pc and they all sync.
By the way, the same holds true for contacts as I described above for calendars.  I have both an icloud and personal folders list.  I use icloud and just make sure i copy depending on which one the contact goes to.  If someone sends me a contact by default it goes to my outlook personal folders.  I then just copy and past to my outlook.
Not perfect, but it works for me.
    God Bless,
    Mike

  • Outlook 2013 crashes when adding an event using an emailed ics file.

I use Outlook 2013, Hotmail and an Android phone to manage my calendar, with Outlook 2013 and Android synching to the Outlook.com account.
    Scenario 1:
    1. Receive meeting requests with attached ics files from an Apple Mac user
    2. Drag ics file attachment to the Outlook calendar
    3. "Meeting" window opens
    4. Click "Accept" then "Send Response Now" OR "Do Not Send a Response"
OR "Edit the Response Before Sending" then "Send"
    5. Outlook crashes (see event log below) and restarts
    6. On restart the meeting request has been added to the Outlook calendar
    7. Meeting is not in the Outlook.com calendar
    8. Meeting organiser does not receive email response
    Event Log:

    1. Receive meeting requests with attached ics files from an Apple Mac user
    2. Double click on the ics file
    3. Error message "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found"
    Observations:
Re-creating the Hotmail account OST file makes no difference.
    The workaround described here:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/cannot-open-ics-meeting-invite/99ce57cc-5ffe-42f7-ba0a-87d6d928cb85
requires approximately 15 clicks, instead of two or three, so isn't workable for large numbers of meeting requests.
Meeting requests can be added to the local pst file calendar successfully.  This calendar is not used because it doesn't allow synching with other devices.
    System configuration:
Windows 8.1 - Most recent Windows Update check: "No updates are available"
Outlook 2013 (15.0.4675.1003), standalone installation (no Exchange Server) - Most recent Office Updates check: "The latest version of Office is installed on your computer"
Email containing ics attachments (and all other email) is sent to an email alias which is then forwarded to my ISP-provided email address
ISP email address is connected using IMAP/SMTP
Outlook.com / hotmail account is connected using EAS

Sorry for the delay. I was supposed to get alerts on this, but I never did. N2K has been built and rebuilt, and still the error comes up. For one Exchange user that's in the N2K file, I can look at it now, and it matches up with others on the same server.
But 2-3 days from now, it will somehow be changed to“/o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user” and that starts Outlook crashing again. The error happened for several months, and during this time the user was moved to a new
Exchange server. A new profile was created after the move, but the problem followed him.
I removed the offending user again today. The entry in n2K is getting changed to “/o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user”. I found that is is a legacyExchange issue, but I don't know from where it's being changed -
on the user who's Outlook is crashing, on the user sending the email, or on the AD server. I am not an Exchange expert, so reading a few websites that point out what this is didn't really help me figure out how to remove the legacyExchange problem. The customer
is using hosted Exchange, so I can't get onto the server to dig into it. Is it in the Global Address Book, or a user's individual contact?
I ran OffCAT and it pointed out two addins that had Resiliancy set. They were both Outlook Addins, DPOfcX.ComposeRibbon and OutlookChangeNotifier.Connect. So I hope they aren't the issue.

  • Issues With Syncing With Outlook Calendar, Please Help...

    Windows Vista
    DM 6.0 (latest Version)
BlackBerry Bold 9000 4.6 (Latest version of 4.6 before it came 5.0)
    Outlook 2007 Calendar
I am currently have a Intellisync Issue with syncing with my Outlook Calendar.
When I try to go and set it up, it asks me which way I would like to sync (two ways, from BB to outlook, from out look to BB)
When I click on next, this error message comes up. Then the program just crashes and then I get back to the DM 6.0 software.
Anyone can give me pointers on trying to fix this.
    Thanks!

    FIRST click on “reset settings” (if it is grayed out and does not allow you to reset; just go to next step) Click on Configure settings; check off calendar; as soon as you check it the next screen just pops up It says select a device application; then scroll and select Microsoft Outlook; Click Next and then pick which way you are going to sync If it is the first time just use One way sync from outlook to device. Click next; Click transfer only future items selected; click next then finish; Should see the final screen with top box out of three checked off. Click ok Click sync at bottom right of page. I found that if I went to slow (since I was making this sheet) that I would get the error message sometimes. I would just start over; FIRST ALWAYS RESET SETTINGS; then just follow all the steps again . Then should sync Once it is finished you will be back where you started from It is a good idea to click on Reset settings now before you close out. When you go in again click follow the steps from the top of the page. FIRST click on “reset settings” (if it is grayed out and does not allow you to reset; just go to next step) Click on Configure settings;

  • Connect JUST Outlook Calendar to Sun Java System Calendar Server

Is it possible to connect JUST the Outlook Calendar to a Sun Java System Calendar Server, using Sun Java System Connector for Microsoft Outlook 6.0?
Leaving all other outlook functionality hooked up to exchange?
    Hal.

    Hi,
Being disconnected straight away after authenticating to an MMP doesn't sound very healthy.
Has the MMP worked in the past - can you connect to the MMP with another email client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and collect your email?
Is the MMP AService.rc process crashing/core dumping?
What does the MMP IMAP log tell you/have you tried increasing the logging level and connecting again?
    Regards,
    Shane.

  • Touch and Outlook calendar

I've had my 2nd gen iPod Touch for just over a week and so far it's been an adventure to say the least. After numerous crashes and lockups and some time spent on the phone with tech support it finally seemed to be working properly. Or so I seemed. On the first sync after the last total reset it moved a number of calendar events. Like putting Halloween on June 30th and July 1st. I went through every event on the Touch for the year. Comparing it to the Outlook calendar and correcting the wrong ones. I then sync'd again. The new problem is that every day in the calendar now has one of the dots indicating that it thinks there is an event on that day. This makes it impossible to see which days really do have something.
Can anyone tell me why or better yet how to fix this?

I was having similar issues and came here for support and figured it out.
I did a restart as suggested above (holding down both buttons for about 20 sec until the apple came up). Went into itunes and info and unchecked calendar. It asked if i wanted to save previous calendar and I said no- thus erasing previous Outlook entries on my itouch. Sync.
Then recheck and reload calendar....it worked for me.
Hope it works for you all!

  • IPhone wants to 'Modify' 504 Outlook Calendar entries on Syncingvis iTunes

    Hi,
Until a few months ago (possibly when the clocks went forwards an hour??), my iPhone 4S synced without problems with my Outlook Calendar via iTunes, but now I get a message saying that continuing will result in modifying 504 entries on my Outlook Calendar. I therefore cancel the Sync.
None of my other syncing - music, photos, contacts, etc - are affected. I have tried choosing (on the iTunes info page) to 'over-ride' my iPhone's calendar and put the Outlook one onto the iPhone, which works okay, but then I get the same error message when I next sync the calendars...
I don't want to let it sync and have to alter all my Outlook calendar entries. Time zone settings are for London on the iPhone (General>Date & Time), and also on my computer, which is showing the same time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Mark

I had the same issue with the disappearing calendar. I had my entire work and personal schedule on my iPhone.
My computer had crashed and I had to reinstall Outlook. Once that was done, I did a sync with the iPhone....and the entire calendar vanished from the phone!!
I have searched and searched the net to find a way to restore it, but I think it is gone forever. I would have thought it would be part of the backup that iTunes does before a sync...but It won't restore to the phone. I figured out how to 'extract' just the calendar info and it looks as if there are hundreds of entries there...but nothing I do works to either get them back on the iPhone or even save them as a CSV file to import into Outlook.
I am mad as anything to think that I will have to input every entry again not to mention all the ones I will miss, or the past ones that I still needed.
