Outlook Calendars in exchange 2010

Having a weird issue with a users Outlook, they had two calendars. When they send meeting requests it's going to one and when they receive it's going to another. A fix I tried to apply was export one to pst and import to the other then remove the
exported calendar. This seemed to work but a day later they came back and they can't change the imported meeting requests. Is there anyway to recover I've exported the calendar to a PST.

Hello all,
We are having a problem with sharing a calendar using Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2010.
I will start with some background. I have just started my position with this company. I have been working with networks for awhile at the small business level. I have not had much production experience with exchange. There is only myself and my supervisor
who has inherited a midsized network which was built by five previous techs that are no longer with the company. Of course, the previous techs did not leave much documentation, so the original hows and whys for our system setup has been lost.
One of the managers has a calendar she shares with some of our users. I believe this calendar has been in use since sometime in 2006. A mailbox was created to hold this calendar to keep it separate from the managers calendar. I am not sure what version
of exchange they were using at that time, but I assume there was one or two migrations of it getting to its current state on our exchange 2010 server. At some point it was observed that the other workers she was sharing with were not able to access it correctly.
I am not fully sure what the original problem was (possibly some people not being able to see or connect to the calendar), but it was decided to give everyone who needed access to this calendar full access permissions through exchange. Correct me if I
am wrong, but I believe that gave everyone connected the ability to do anything with the calendar. Of course the manager was not happy about that. This is where I started working on the problem.
I removed everyone, except the manager who wants to control the calendar, from having "Full Access Permissions". This did have the effect of making some people just able to see the calendar and not make changes. Though there were others that were
able to connect to the calendar who I thought would not be able to. The manager that originally created the calendar did try to manage access to it through the Outlook interface, though it currently does not seem to be fully in effect.
So, to get to the point of what we are trying to do, is there a way to get the original manager back into control of the calendar though Outlook? It would be preferred to be able to keep the history of what they tracked of this calendar, so starting a new
one would be something we would rather avoid. After that, getting all of the users that need to connect to the calendar reconnected with the correct access permissions and making sure they are all synchronized.
I realize this is a big mess, and your help would be greatly appreciated.

How is the impact, just one user or all users, Outlook or OWA?
If just one user, it seems like an issue on the Outlook Client side.
Please trying to re-create new profile to fresh the caches.
Please runing Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs, add-ins and firewall.

Update outlook calendar from access 2010 database

When I registrate an appointment in hour access 2010 database, I want to create an apointment in the outlook calendar. Is that possible? I tried to link to the outlook calendar from Access 2010, but the appointment date does not show, and therefore
I can't use this method!
My next question: Is it also possible to registrate an appointment in the outlook calendar and update the calendar in my access 2010 database.

The "Sync to Outlook" button is a new feature in SharePoint 2013 and is different from the "Connect to Outlook" button in SharePoint 2010, and this feature also needs the Exchange Server 2013 installed in your environment, you can read the following article
for details.
You can get the "Connect to Outlook" button back (like SP2010) by disabling the "Exchange Task Sync feature" from CA without installing Exchange 2013, the following is extracted from the white paper.
"How to disable SharePoint Server and Exchange Server integration.
To disable it, you turn off the Farm Level Exchange Task Sync feature by going to Central Administration -> Manage farm features. This action deletes the timer job and disables the UI integration, bringing back the legacy sync behavior to Outlook. "

IPhone 3G doesn't sync with Outlook calendar using Exchange

First, let me just say I don't need push email, push contacts or push calendar. I just want my iPhone to sync with my existing Outlook 2007 setup like any other PDA would via ActiveSync, without having to rely on iPhone Enterprise Integration.
There are lots of articles in the knowledge-base and forum that describe how to overcome corruption of PST files, but if you're connecting to an Exchange server you'll notice that you might not even have a PST file. Outlook uses OST files for off-line cache instead and creating a PST as your default storage will cause all of the Exchange content to be delivered to your computer and erased from the server. (not good)
I've looked over all the support articles I could find, tried innumerable variations of install / re-install / disable Outlook plug-ins / start with brand new user attempts to no avail. I still have not found a way around this issue.
I know this is possible because my previous phone (a Treo700w) was able to sync contacts and my calendar without any issues and I naturally expected my iPhone to have *at least* the same capabilities.
Feels like a major design flaw for business users. Now I'm stuck with a super slick phone that doesn't do the number 1 thing I need it to do: sync with my Outlook calendar. Sorry for the rant.
Anyone else having an issue with this? As far as I can tell there's no solution posted for it.

MeatX2, I had read that article already. It describes how to overcome corrupt PST files which doesn't apply in my case.
My primary Outlook file is an OST (off-line cache) and my contacts / calendar are stored on an Exchange server. I could create a PST file and set it as the default storage, but that would cause all of my data to be delivered directly to my Outlook and erased from the server (where it is currently backed up and available from multiple computers, my desktop, laptop, etc).
Doesn't seem like Apple has a solution for syncing from OST files like other PDAs do. The only alternative seems to be their Enterprise Integration product which (despite doing cool things like push email, contacts and calendar) isn't something an end-user can install.
I just need iTunes to sync with my Outlook in the same way my old PDA did. Seems a little absurd that Apple would pitch Outlook sync capabilities and miss such a significant use-case completely.

Issue with Copy of events from Outlook Calendar to SharePoint 2010 calendar(mapped in outlook)

There is a issue while copying events in Outlook mapped SharePoint 2010 Calendar.
This issue only seems to happen when user copies an event from his Outlook calendar to the SharePoint 2010 calendar.
He is able to create a new event in the SharePoint calendar from Outlook.
He tried below steps, but still no success
1.
Open your Outlook calendar.
2. Open the event you want to copy.
3. From the File menu, select Info.
4. Click the Move to Folder button.
5. In the Copy Items To dialog box, scroll down to the SharePoint Lists item and select the SharePoint calendar to which you want to copy the event.
6. Click the OK button.
7. Click the Yes button when prompted to continue.
Please let me know if there is any possible solution for it.

I have done a test as your steps. I am able to copy an event from my Outlook calendar to the SharePoint 2010 calendar.
1. I suggest you test in another compute, perhaps your Outlook results to that issue.
2. Please create a new site collection, then test again, compare the result.
3. Maybe it will take some time before the copied event displays in the SharePoint 2010 calendar. So, wait a minute, compare the result.

Unable to open Public Folders in Outlook or OWA (Exchange 2010)

Exchange 2010 Public folders can not be opened from Outlook or from OWA, in the ADIS I do not see Folder Hierarchies. Under the public folder Management Console,i get an error that states "You cant perform this operation because public folder
database isnt mounted. Please mount it and try afain, It wsas running the command ger-publicfolder -getchildren -identity "\"-server 'MBXserver'"

Run "Get-PublicFolderDatabase" and see what it says the status of the database is. This error implies that the database in offline. You will also want to find the status of your public folder copies.
Get-PublicFolder -Recurse | Ft
or
Get-PublicFolder -Recurse | Export-Csv PublicFolderStatus.csv -NoTypeInformation
The first will work if you are checking a small number of folders, but you'll want the latter if you have many of them.

Help needed with buggy Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2010 trashing profiles

Hi All,
I have a customer who has eschewed MOLP and buys all their Office OEM from Dell. So as a result they are starting to have more and more office 2013 be deployed. They have a SBS 2011 server with Exchange 2010 and it is patched to the latest
rollups and service packs. (SP3, RU2) Their Outlook 2010 and earlier clients are just peachy on this. But the Outlook 2013 clients are having problems.
What is going on is that periodically I'll get a complaint from a user that their Outlook 2013 is randomly crashing. In all cases the fix is going into the Outlook Profiles, creating a new profile, then setting the new profile as the default
and going back into Outlook 2013 and letting it rebuild the cached data on the PC. This seems to happen a few times a month with random users on the network.
I told the customer it was probably people not logging out of Outlook 2013 at night and their machines being power spiked but I think that's highly unlikely since it doesen't happen to the Outlook 2010 clients.
I don't know if any Microsoft developers read this but if you do, please take it back to your bug database. Any other suggestions would be appreciated (other than scotch Outlook 2013 - while I'd appreciate that, my customer wouldn't)

In all cases the fix is going into the Outlook Profiles, creating a new profile, then setting the new profile as the default and going back into Outlook 2013 and letting it rebuild the cached data on the PC.
The Outlook 2013 crash problem would be fix after you re-create a new profile and re-sync the data from Exchange, right?

Avaya IP phone has an issue then downloading calendar from Exchange 2010

I'm having an issue, please give me an advice! When my IP phone (IP) works with Exchange 2010, it can not download calendar. I captured and saw that after client sends hello, server sends hello, server sends certificate, then client sends back bad
certificate and TCP Reset messages. I installed Exchange and AD on the same server. I also installed CA on this server to issue certificate to Exchange. I configured phone download root cert of CA and certificate of Exchange. If you require any information,

I don't know what mechanism that phone used to connect to Exchange to download calendar. And don't have any document configuration. If you have any experience, please share with me.

Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2010

we upgraded from Outlook 2010 to 2013 x64it and the exchange server is the same 2010
when trying to cleanup public folders the Clean Up tool is grayed our and it says "outlook 2013 this feature is not available because you are running in online mode and connected to microsoft exchange server 2007 or earlier" none of this is true.
It works fine when you are in your own inbox, only grays out in Public folders, this worked fine with Outlook 2010

If this issue really related to the Exchange 2010 server side, I suggest re-setting the default public folder database for testing.
Please make a back up for the current setting in case of some crash. If it doesn't work, please back to the current setting.

Public Folders no longer visible in Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2010

Hi all,
This is a perplexing problem because I though I had done everything right
About 1 year ago, I migrated my Exch2007 to Exch2010. The 2007 hardware was showing signs of quitting but it hung in there long enough to complete the migration.
All the user mailboxes, OWA, all other functions moved to the new server.
We use legacy Pub Folders and I manually created a Pub folder database and set up all the Pub folders to replicate from 2007 to the 2010. Once replication has taken place, I removed the 2007 replication partner on all the Pub and System folders in
prep for removing the 2007. But then I got busy and never finished removal.
Flash forward to a few weeks ago and the Exch 2007 box goes down hard, RAID containers gone, totally lost. I did not immediately worry since all was still fine with Outlook and Pub Folder Access.
I got around to cleaning things up and after verifying that there was nothing pointing to the old server including the OAB and any PF, I used ADSIedit to remove the reference to the old server in the Exchange Organization. Since then, although I still
see the PF object in the Mgmt Tool, Outlook does not see their existence. OWA cannot see them either.
I have read that GAL problems can cause this so I have recreated this object to see if will help.
Has anyone else faced this situation? I really need to get PF access back...

Room Calendars in Exchange 2010

I can't schedule a meeting outside the set hours of 8am-5pm in any room calendar or the "room" disappears. The hours show 8-5 and even if I change the hours in GP to show 6-6, which I can, I can still only schedule between 8-5.
I created a Room List and several room calendars using powershell with no issues. I have set the working hours start and end to 06:00:00 start & 18:00:00 end times. I've checked each room calendar and everything looks good. I have went
through every known setting & cmdlet I know. What is controlling the scheduling times?

Thanks for the response but I've been through that a dozen times and everything is correct. I even checked again and it's set right but still displaying wrong to the end user. As you can see from the pictures below the earliest suggested time
the user sees starts at 8:30am and the last time is 4:30pm (30 Minute increments).
Please be aware that a user can still click the 'Scheduling Assistant' from within the Meeting request and set it from there. But we want the individual rooms to disappear from the Suggested Times list if it as already been scheduled during the time
desired. This feature already works great but the Suggested Times needs to coincide with the working hours or No Rooms show up in the list prior to 8:00am.
I have 5 rooms and they are all set just like this one.

Server and mailbox name check popup when opening Outlook connecting to Exchange 2010

Everytime our users open Outlook 2007 or 2010
this box pops up asking to verify the Microsoft Exchange server name and mailbox name. The user's information is automatically filled in and clicking ok makes the box go away but it will eventually pop up again or when outlook is closed and re-opened.
When "cached mode" is disabled the problem goes away (but "cached mode" is necessary for our users).
The problem began when we deleted an old Exchange 2003 server (we are now using only Exchange Server 2010).
Outlook user's profile has been recreated : does not fix. Users having that problem with Outlook 2010 dot not experience it with the OWA interface.
How to fix that problem ?

Fully automated Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2010 client setup

Hi,
I'm trying to create a situation where a user fires up Outlook 2013 for the first time and the Exchange account is configured for them without any intervention whatsoever.
I currently have it that when a user opens Outlook, they see the "Welcome to Outlook 2013" screen and they click next. They are asked if the want to setup Outlook to connect to an email account and click Next. On the next screen, there
primary SMTP address is automatically filled out, and then autodiscover takes over and configures the rest for them.
I have configured AutoDiscover correctly (including SCP), and configured a GPO with "Automatically configure profile based on Active Directory Primary SMTP address".
However, I still get that "Welcome to Outlook 2013" screen.
How do I get rid of that to make the whole process fully automated?

Hi Mark,
I have this issue before.
When we first add our accout to Outlook, we should better create a new profile manually.
I suggest removing our accout from Outlook via "Mail" and re-creating new profile.
Operation details as below:
1. Start-->Control Panel-->Mail-->E-mail Accounts...-->select your account and Remove it-->Close
2. Show Profiles...-->Add-->then configure your account again.
