Outlook connector: Assigned task notification message is not functionable

Hi!
I can easily assign task from OC to user user1.
But user1 can not neither "Accept" nor "Decline" the task notification. Error message "The task ... cannot be sent. It may be an attachment of another message." is appear.
Is that the bug or lack of functionality of Outlook Connector ?
We are using Outlook Connector 7.1_233

This is currently a limitation in the product which may get addressed in the next release (7.3 update 2). I highly recommend raising this issue with your Sun account manager who can then raise it with the Outlook Connector product management.

There are lots and lots of threads in these forums of folks that are either 1) angry in that they thing RIM is going too slow or 2) truly trying to help each other out. The formal response is that 2010 is not yet supported by the RIM DTM software and no expectation of when that shall happen can be provided.

Outlook Connector - Unable to view messages in IMAP folders

Hi,
I am trying to get the outlook connector (version 7.2.310.1) and it is fine for collecting mail, calenders etc.
The problem I am having is with IMAP folders.
I have a message rule set up through the webmail view that moves mail with [-SPAM-] in the subject (picked up by our edge filters) into the Junk Email folder. This rule works fine, I can view the messages in there through webamil, if i log in over IMAP using thunderbird or whatever I can see the messages...
The problem is that through the outlook connector, there are no messages in there. The folder exists, I can copy messages in there using outlook and they are visible, but all the mail that is there already is effectively invisible?
Any ideas or have I just missed something?

1. Within Outlook, right-click on the folder
2. Select "Properties"
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
4. Click on "Empty and resync" button.

Human task notification message configuration.

Hi All,
whenever any human task assignes to an user, SOA11g server sends a e-mail notification to that particular user. I need to configure/change the standard notification message with the custom message as per my poject needs. I have been trying to change the 'Notification Header' field of HumanTask file inside BPEL project from JDeveloper IDE. Now, after redeploying the solution, modified notification message is sending but, in E-mail message it is printing whole notification message in a single line, i need to print the e-mail message in the specified format. How to achieve this?.

The trick to insert the new line character in XML payload from Oracle BPEL is to append
in the from expression of assign activity, then check your .bpel file it would have &#13; rather than
because Jdeveloper replaces & with its equivalent escape character &. You need to replace & with & so it would become the correct new line character

Assign Task - Prepare Data Service not being called?

Hi,
I've got an Assign Task activity, with an Action Profile that defines a Prepare Data Service. For the Prepare data service, I've just created a simple process, and I'm recording it.
When the assign task gets invoked, the Prepare Data Service process is not being executed. Nothing gets recorded.
Do I need to do something else?
I am running LC ES2 SP2
Note - If I use a Prepare Data Process on a Task Manager start point, it works fine. It's just not working for an Assign Task activity.

By default, the checkbox to run the Prepare Data on the User service step is turned off.
Navigate to the Presentation & Data tab on the User service.
If you have selected an Action Profile that specifies a Prepare Data process, you'll see 3 checkboxes under the section: Specify when the Prepare Data process runs
Check "The user opens the task" and it will now run the Prepare Data on the User service.
Note: This is unchecked by default so that any data entered on the startpoint step is not overwritten at the user step.
It is up to the process designer to save off any data that you do not want overridden when the Prepare Data loads.

Outlook 2013 - "schedule an automatic send/receive" NOT functioning

Here is yet another bug in Outlook 2013 which remains at large.
Yes, "schedule an automatic send/receive" is not functioning, except in the case of Hotmail/Outlook.com
The only time new emails are getting download are when the Send/Receive button is clicked, or when the inbox of the account is selected.
Other than that Email is not getting checked/downloaded every thirty minutes as it is setup to do.
Oh, and please none of those generic "create a new profile" answers.

Multilingual iPod messages, STILL not functioning with iTunes 7.0.1.8

OK. So I have diligently tried all the possible solutions on these boards (some many times), and none have worked for my iPod thus far. Either I'm missing something, or I have a different problem altogether.
I'll preface this by saying that I did upgrade to iTunes 7.0 (and again to 7.0.1.8) but hadn't plugged in my iPod yet, and the day before I plugged it in for the first time, I also dropped it on the pavement while it was in its hard plastic case.
When I tried to turn it on, it told me in several different languages that I needed to plug in to my computer so iTunes could restore it.
When I did that, I got all the "recovery mode" messages and error 1418s that everyone else is describing.
When I try to format by Windows Explorer, Disk Management OR command prompt, it sits there for a long time until it decides it's not going to format. Last night I got it all the way to 99% on the command-prompt format and it told me there was a disk error and that it couldn't be formatted (I don't remember the exact message because I flew into hysterics).
*I actually DID get my iPod to restore fully once, with the Apple on the screen and the progress bar and everything, but it went straight back to multilingual after that.*
Help? Guys, I'm desperate. I'm listening to CDs at work, and my subway ride in to work is horrifying.

I had major issues until I visited http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304434 and turned my Terminal Services back on. I had set it to "Disable" to save resources. Once I set it to "manual", the IPOD worked great with Itunes.

Outlook some messages are not supporting

Am getting error message for some mails in outlook. "This type of message is not supported by your current version of windows phone ". I have updated latest sw only. (current sw version is Lumia amber). As I need to check mails while travelling, but it is not supporting means what is the use of this outlook in phone ? Please consider this as high priority.

That is a Microsoft issue with Exchange ActiveSync and S/MIME messages. You have to request it. With IMAP, you are able to view signed messages (of course you cannot read encrypted ones, yet). Do you know if your affected messages are just signed or encrypted, as well?

It seems to be "Autosave problem". That Outlook sends LAST DRAFT auto saved message version?
When Outlook autosave is set OFF, composing and sending works fine.
Problem appears on different workstations: Windows XP, Windows VISTA, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007....
Does anybody knows solution for this? Or this is server configuration problem?

bug #6441043 - "after autosave and continue to edit text is lost".
Can you reproduce this problem with the latest version of Outlook Connector (OC7.3 - 139162-01) which can be downloaded via sunsolve.sun.com?

Outlook connector unable to bind to ldap

We are running outlook connector 7.3.106.4. with a JES 2005Q4 backend.
Over the weekend we have restarted the whole environment due to upgrades. no configuration changes where made.
Today we have users of the outlook connector getting the message 'unable to bind to "servername"' when going to access the global address book within outlook.
Can anyone give me some pointers on where i might start looking.
I've verified that services are running and there are errors in the slapd logs

Cant delete task notification in Outlook 2010

In my Office we use Outlook 2010 and I assign tasks to various people. When they accept the task I receive a notification however in the last few days I have received a few notifications that I can't delete. When I select the notification in
my Inbox it says "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents" however if I try to open it I get "Cannot open this item. The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found."
If I try to delete the task notification I get "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found.".
I've tried running the repair function but it didn't help. How can I fix this so it doesn't happen going forward and delete these email?

Hi,
The first thing you need to do is to make sure Outlook is fully patched.
Some anti-virus program may cause this issue, to verify that, please disable the firewall and anti-virus program, then start Outlook, check if the issue persists.
You can also run Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
Note For the steps above, I suggest you test with the new notifications.
You can also try the following and check if it helps:
Click on the File menu –> Options, navigate to Advanced tab and scrolled down to Send and receive section, then click on the Send/Receive button. In the ‘Send/Receive Groups’ window, click on Edit tab. In the
‘Send/Receive Settings’ window, click to select the email account under ‘Accounts’ and then click to select the ‘Download Complete Items’ option. Make sure the option “Download only headers for items larger then” is unchecked/not selected and click on Ok.

Assign Task Custom Notification Properties

Does anyone have a problem with missing properties when creating an Assign Task with the UserServiceV2 in ES? According to this document, there should be a way(Custom Email Templates property group) to override the default system notification settings. How can the notifications be customized?

The Creator of an Assigned Tasks is not Updated when Changed from Mobile Device

We have a Shared Mailbox where we create Tasks and assign them to the appropriate engineer. In Outlook, if they open and modify the assigned task, after they have accepted it of course, and then save it, a message is received in the Shared Mailbox with the
update. When that is opened and closed, the task on the Shared Mailbox is updated.
However, if that Task is updated on a mobile device, WP8.1 in this case, the creator does not get a new message with the changes. If the assigned user looks at it in Outlook, he/she will see the changes. But the originator never receives a message
with the changes.
Am I missing something or is this by design? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

CannotUser execute task -- " anonymous " has not been assigned task

I'm trying to build a prototype a workflow using WLI Integration(WLPI).
I've created a workflow using WLPI Studio and am able to start the instances using
JMS messages. However, when I try to execute one of the task which I 've assigned
to user "admin" I get the following error. Please note that I have connected to
WLPI using "admin" user only and got a handle to worklist. It seems to be an issue
with security realm but I'm not able to figure out what it is...Can somebody help
me on it???

I'm not using any combination of older version of WLS and 7.0. I've downloaded
the trial version of weblogic platform 7.0 and working on it.
I forgot to mention one thing that in order to fix the problem I have modified
the wlpi-ejb.jar to removethe method permissions.

Secure LDAP lookup with 2005Q4 Outlook Connector 7 not working

Hello all,
I have Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server/5.2_Patch_4 B2005.230.0041 (64-bit) installed and the latest 2005Q4 Calendar, Messaging and UWC Server. When testing the Outlook Connector, I can get the 2005Q1 version 7 connector to work just fine with all features. I uninstalled the 2005Q1 connector and installed the 2005Q4 connector into a new profile and everyting works expect if I try to make the LDAP lookups secure for the global address list. Changing the port to 636 for ldap causes Outlook to timeout on the lookup. I checked the directory server logs and noticed that the secure connection is being made without errors, but after a minute an ABANDON operation takes place on the secure connection and Outlook gives up. When using port 389 for lookups, the Connector has no issues.

I think I found the fix. I upgraded the 2005Q1 -> 2005Q4 Sun Java Connectory Deployment Tool. After I uninstalled the deployment tool and then reinstalled the 2005Q4 I was able to create and .exe and create an Outlook profile that did not have any LDAP over SSL problems.
