Outlook Connector error

I am having a problem with the Sun Outlook Connector. I have previously set it up to use in Outlook 2003, but now trying to install in Outlook 2007, I get an error that says :
Error 5139: unable to check Outlook Version. I have re-downloaded the newest version of the System Connector, recreated the setup file, and still no go.

Have you tried this on more then one system?
Is Outlook set as the default email client?
A quick search didn't reveal any recent occurrences of this error.
I have re-downloaded the newest version of the System Connector, recreated the setup file, and still no go.You need to be running the most recent release for Outlook 2007 support anyway - so for any future tests please use this release.

    Hi there,
There are lots and lots of threads in these forums of folks that are either 1) angry in that they thing RIM is going too slow or 2) truly trying to help each other out. The formal response is that 2010 is not yet supported by the RIM DTM software and no expectation of when that shall happen can be provided.
    Good luck!

  • Outlook Connector error when UWC with WindowsDesktopSSO enabled

    Dear all,
we use JES4 with current OutllookConnector. We want to use AccessManagers WindowsDesktopSSO as
company-wide SSO solution. We played around and everything worked quite fine regarding web-based SSO.
But we do encounter a big issue by running current Outlook Connector versions:
After Outlook was stared we do get a Error Window regarding "unable to connect to addressbook server"
followed by the correct URL to our UWC and 2 inputfields for username and password.
It does not matter if we do enter correct credentials or not, this error message appears as long as
    we don't press "Cancel".
When pressing Cancel we still have full Outlook functionality even our personal addressbooks are available
(which is the onyl component uwc is used for, due to global addressbook is provided by ldap connects).
We dont get any log entries within AM (even if debug is enabled) or webserver logs.
Did anybody had some similar issues ?
What makes this issue really strange is that not all our users do get this error. But these users
are using the exact same version of windows/outlook/outlook-connector etc. And all users
share the same internet explorer setting (deployed by group policies). All users can access our
UWC via WindowsDesktopSSO without any problems.
I am out of ideas, so propably you could provide me with new ones ?
    Many thanks in advance
    cheers
    joerg

I recently upgraded computers and now have Outlook 2010 and Windows 7. Haven't been able to sync Curve to Outlook since. Getting message "Microsoft Outlook Connector Error" as title and then "No Available Message Stores". Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks much!

  • Cannot view SharePoint Online documents through CRM Online Outlook Connector - iframe error

We are integrating CRM 2013 Online with SharePoint 2013 Online. We have installed the CRM List Component solution. We have also modified the SharePoint master page to permit display of SharePoint content in iframes. We can view SharePoint documents within
CRM using Internet Explorer after setting the Documents link for an opportunity to point to a document set in SharePoint. However we cannot view documents through the CRM Outlook Connector. We receive the error that "This content cannot be displayed in
    a frame".
We have tried adding *.sharepoint.com, *.dynamics.com, and *.microsoftonline.com to IE's Trusted Zone with no effect.
The application launched by the Outlook Connector is called Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.WebFormsHost and it's my understanding that it uses the IE engine to render online content.
Is there anyway to view SharePoint content embdedded in CRM via an iframe with the Outlook Connector?

I have the same problem here.
The integration works fine outside of Outlook, but if, for example, an account is opened within CRM for Outlook the error occurs.
    - No masterpage modification
    - Some security setting in IE 11 (perhaps IE 11 is the problem)
    - Installed the solution in the used site collection
    - Configured CRM settings

  • User not found error with Outlook Connector

    Hi all
I am having some issues with the Outlook Connector (Version 7.1.222.4 JES2005Q4 running on Microsoft Outlook 2003) when trying to subscribe to a users calendar.
    Details:
    (SJES2005Q4)
    Server 1 - Access Manager
    Server 1 - Delegated Administrator
    Server 2 - Directory Server 5.2
    Server 3 - Messenger Server
    Server 3 - Calendar Server
Server 3 - Access Manager SDK
    Server 3 - Communications Express
    Server 3 - Messenger Express
My setup works fine, I can subscribe to users calendars in Communications Express and modify/delete etc; however, when I try to subscribe to this same users calendar in Outlook I get the following error:
"User not found. Either enter the email id of the user OR click on Search and then click on Find to locate the user."
If I click on search, I get a list of my corporate directory, here I am able to select the user but again clicking ok gives the same result.
Looking at the logs it seems that the search at the point where I click ok is missing the "organizational unit" element of the user DN, logs below:

    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks
PS: This is also posted in the IMS mailing list, so apologises for duplication to people who visit both forums.

The error was fixed by setting the "Authenticated proxy binding: service.wcap.userprefs.ldapproxyauth" to "yes", this is in the release notes as pointed out by Arnaud Quillaud.

When you invite a resource with Outlook Connector, an email is sent to the value of the "mail:" attribute for the resource as well as having the event added to the resource calendar directly via WCAP. This is an MS Outlook specific behaviour.
Refer to the following link on how to have these emails automatically discarded by using a 'bitbucket' channel address:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5200/6n7a49o05?a=view
When resources are invited to meetings in UWC we do not get the SMTP error. UWC doesn't send an email to the "mail:" address.

  • Install error for Corporate time Outlook Connector

I have tried installing the outlook connector to Corporate Time but it fails. I have attached the install log. While installing outlook there was no Corporate or Workgroup option. Any Ideas?
    Start setup
    Install time: 9-29-2002 21:39:48
Searching for MS Outlook installation : OK
    Check install package :
    Version :
    Install date : 200207301714
    Enter CheckRequirements.
    Running : Win 2000
    Exit CheckRequirements
    Check admin rights : OK
    Enter GetInstallMode
    Silent install : FALSE
    Exit GetInstallMode
    Loading install dll : OK
    Check if OL is running
    Check OL running exit
    Enter CheckOutlookVersion
    Outlook version : 9.0
Get Outlook service option : 0
You have installed Microsoft Outlook with an unsupported option.
Rerun the Microsoft Outlook Setup and in Service Support page, choose Corporate or Workgroup option.
    Setup cannot continue.
    Exit CheckOutlookVersion

To switch your Outlook client to Corporate/Workgroup mode, go to Tools -> Options.., select the "Mail Services" tab, then press the "Reconfigure Mail Support" button. You should then be presented with a wizard that will take you through the process. You may have to have the Outlook install media handy. I'm not sure. Once Outlook is in Corporate/Workgroup mode, try installing the Outlook Connector again.

  • Cannot connect to SMTP server using Outlook Connector

    Hi All,
I am trying to connect outlook client to my oracle mail server in OCS. I have succefully installed the Outlook connector but when i try to connect it gives me the following error:
    The SMTP server is unavailable.
When i click on retry it gives me the option to enter the Server name, i type the server name with fully qualified domain name. ( i can ping the server from the client pc from where i am trying to connect). But no luck at all.
However i am able to send receive e-mail from the wb client, no issues at all, which means my SMTP server is up and running. I have also verified that listener_es process is up and running.
Any suggestions or ideas would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dipak.

    Hi Naqi,
You are absolutely correct. I added the client in /etc/hosts file and it all worked well.
Not just connecting the client but also when i telnet on port 25 i dont get the spam error.
ALso, i have seen lots of your input on the forums and has been very helpfull.
    Thankyou so much.
I will be attempting to migrate some of my users via export/import from .pst file. These users have about 9000 mails in their mail box. During the normal migration i had errors and couldnt migrate these users. Let me see how it goes now.

  • Calendar server and address book server login fails with outlook connector

    Hi all,
I have installed Java Communication Suite 5 according to the doc http://blogs.sun.com/factotum/resource/comms5-install-linux.html.
When i deploy the connector i get the pop ups saying "Server:servername:3080
    Error:service not available" also
    "Server:servername:80/uwc"
    Error:service not available"
asking to login to calendar server and address book server.Clicking "OK" allows install.
In outlook i can send and receive mails but not the meeting requests. It gives the error "login to calendar server" when i create a meeting request.
Please let me know what i have to do to get rid of the error. The username and passwd entered is correct.
    Regards,
    lmeenakshy

    Hi,
When i deploy the connector i get the pop ups saying
    "Server:servername:3080
Error:service not available" also Do you get exactly what you say above, or have you substituted in the real server name for "Server:servername:" above?
I would check through the outlook connector deployment configuration to verify that you have inserted valid information into all of the host & port fields - perhaps check the .ini file that is created to see if it has "Server" and "servername" listed.
    "Server:servername:80/uwc"
Error:service not available"You are able to log into UWC via the web-interface and access your calendar/pab and edit/modify/delete calendar & addressbook entries right? The services are all up?
asking to login to calendar server and address book
server.Clicking "OK" allows install. The outlook connector deployment software gives you the option to increase the logging level, try that and see what the logs say - what was it trying to connect to/check which failed.
In outlook i can send and receive mails but not the
meeting requests. It gives the error "login to
calendar server" when i create a meeting request.
Please let me know what i have to do to get rid of
the error. The username and passwd entered is
correct.I suspect this is more of an underlying configuration issue that needs to be sorted out, once that happens you shouldn't have to keep logging in.

This is likely to depend on the version of the OC you have. The released one isn't supposed to work with Outlook 2003. Please contact Tech Support for the latest version and help.

    Hi,
    Have a look at:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9320116
Directions on the installation/configuration and requirements of the outlook connector (for 2005Q4 since you haven't told us what version of the comm suite you are using) are available at docs.sun.com e.g.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/prod/2783#hic
Outlook connector requires that you have UWC (a.k.a communication express) installed and configured, which has it's own requirements. UWC provides the single web-interface to mail & calendar & address-book. Outlook uses the address-book functionality via UWC, IMAP and SMTP for messaging/email, plus WCAP for calendar.

    Shane.

  • Bug in Oracle Outlook Connector 10,1,1,0,2 (1431) and Oracle Forms 6i Rel 2

    Hello,
    I installed Oracle Outlook Connector. 10,1,1,0,2 (1431)
We are using Oracle Collaboration Suite on a 10g database.
    On the Desktop.
    I am using.
    a) MS/OFFICE Outlook 2003.
    b) Oracle Forms and Reports 6i Release 2.
    c) Oracle instance client 10.1
    d) Windows XP HOME SP2.
    What happens?
    1) Oracle Run Time Forms 6i and Oracle/MS Outlook 2003 run fine(Work) when I run them ONE AT A TIME!
    2) When I run them together(At the same time) I receive this error message. FRM-40735 ORA-06508.
I have narrowed it down to an Oracle Connector 10g problem.
    How did I do that?
In XP Home you can create multi-user accounts.
I created a new user account this time I connected to Microsoft Exchange Server 2000.
Results. Oracle runtime 6i works at the same time as MS Outlook 2003.
I am able to use both Programs at the same time. Without any error messages.
    Next Step.
I created a new user account and this time I used an Oracle Connector 10.1g for MS Outlook 2003.
Results: Same error message as before. Ran the application(s) at the same time. FRM-40735 and ORA-06508
    Please help with any ideas.
    Thank you
    Dennis

The product managers look through the forum threads periodically. Some more regularly than others. Since I only look at the forum about once a week, I'm probably the least regular of the PMs. Development also scans the forum, but less regularly.
If you have urgent issues that requires action/response from Oracle, it is better to open an SR with Oracle Support.
    Hope that helps,

  • Outlook Connector - Cannot share calendars

    OK,
I am using the outlook connector sucessfully with the calendar server, messaging server and directory manager. I can collect mail and access the GAL without problem but I am not able to share my calendar with anyone nor view other shared calendars.
To share my calendar with another user I right click on my calendar and go to properties and then the permissions tab. On clicking the Add User button I can enter the userid or search.
If I click search I am able to access the GAL list and select a user. From my directory server logs I can see this action like so:
    [05/Apr/2006:14:01:43 +0100] conn=3017 op=0 msgId=1 - BIND dn="uid=jberry,dc=mydomain,dc=com" method=128 version=3
    [05/Apr/2006:14:01:43 +0100] conn=3017 op=0 msgId=1 - RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0 dn="uid=jberry,dc=mydomain,dc=com"
[05/Apr/2006:14:01:48 +0100] conn=3017 op=5 msgId=6 - SRCH base="uid=aname,dc=myname,dc=com" scope=0 filter="(&(mail=*)(cn=*))" attrs="cn displayName givenName sn initials uid departmentNumber title homePhone mail manager mobile company pager secretary description facsimileTelephoneNumber l physicalDeliveryOfficeName postalCode st street c telephoneNumber mailAlternateAddress objectClass"
[05/Apr/2006:14:01:48 +0100] conn=3017 op=5 msgId=6 - RESULT err=0 tag=101 nentries=1 etime=0]So the search binds to the directory using the uid of my user and returns the required search result (i.e. uid=aname).
Now, when you check your permissions and click OK to add that user as someone who can view your caledar for example it fails with the error message:
User not found. Either enter the email id of the user OR click on Search and then click on Find to locate the user
In the logs for the directory you now get the following:
    [05/Apr/2006:14:02:48 +0100] conn=3018 op=0 msgId=1 - BIND dn="" method=128 version=2
    [05/Apr/2006:14:02:48 +0100] conn=3018 op=0 msgId=1 - RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0 dn=""
    [05/Apr/2006:14:02:48 +0100] conn=3018 op=1 msgId=2 - SRCH base="dc=mydomain,dc=com" scope=2 filter="(uid=auser)" attrs="cn uid mail givenName sn icsCalendar"
    [05/Apr/2006:14:02:48 +0100] conn=3018 op=1 msgId=2 - RESULT err=0 tag=101 nentries=0 etime=0
[05/Apr/2006:14:02:48 +0100] conn=3018 op=2 msgId=3 - UNBINDSo now, for whatever reason, the connector is trying to bind anonymously to make the changes when anonymous bind is not permitted. Surely it should try and bind with my uid as it did when I searched the GAL to get the data...
... or am I looking at this the wrong way?
oh, I can share a calendar through the web interface and it will synch back down to the connector fine, and once a user is there I can change the permissions I can grant that user through the connector.
(p.s. sorry for the sill wide post)
    Thanks
    Josh

Check you have configured everything as mentioned in the following URL:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2568/6n4rm7fit?a=view
    See the following section:
    "Shared Calendar LDAP Lookup Configuration"
Pay attention to the fact that you need the following set in ics.conf:
    service.wcap.userprefs.ldapproxyauth = "yes"
Let us know if you still have problems. BTW: What build of the connector are you running? You can find this out by selecting "Help -> About Sun Java System Connector for Microsoft Outlook". The build number is given in the top right hand corner of the about window. ie. 7.1.222.4.
