Outlook Connector - Unable to view messages in IMAP folders

Hi,
I am trying to get the outlook connector (version 7.2.310.1) and it is fine for collecting mail, calenders etc.
The problem I am having is with IMAP folders.
I have a message rule set up through the webmail view that moves mail with [-SPAM-] in the subject (picked up by our edge filters) into the Junk Email folder. This rule works fine, I can view the messages in there through webamil, if i log in over IMAP using thunderbird or whatever I can see the messages...
The problem is that through the outlook connector, there are no messages in there. The folder exists, I can copy messages in there using outlook and they are visible, but all the mail that is there already is effectively invisible?
Any ideas or have I just missed something?
Josh

Have you tried re-syncing the folder, to do this:
1. Within Outlook, right-click on the folder
2. Select "Properties"
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
4. Click on "Empty and resync" button.

  • Outlook connector unable to bind to ldap

We are running outlook connector 7.3.106.4. with a JES 2005Q4 backend.
Over the weekend we have restarted the whole environment due to upgrades. no configuration changes where made.
Today we have users of the outlook connector getting the message 'unable to bind to "servername"' when going to access the global address book within outlook.
Can anyone give me some pointers on where i might start looking.
I've verified that services are running and there are errors in the slapd logs
-- i've sanitised the logs to remove identifying values --

The only thing that is standing out for me right now is that users who are binding using their ldap uid seem to work and those who are binding with their 'iplanet-am-user-alias-list' name are failing. I'm not sure that makes sense though.
    Cheers,

Unable to view messages available in inbox/Sent items/draft & even reports If i send a SMS to a group say group has more than 5 contacts and click on send button.
No message appears when i open sent items, reports or inbox after messages are sent.
To view messages again i have to restart my phone.

Well, I'm not exactly sure what happened but I think I've got it fixed for now.
FWIW, I went to Mail -> Preferences and clicked on the Accounts -> Advanced tabs. The "Enable this Account" box was checked just like always. I unchecked it, saved the changes, and exited Mail.
Then I went back to Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Advanced, checked the "Enable this Account" box once again and saved the changes. Now it works just fine!

    Hi there,
There are lots and lots of threads in these forums of folks that are either 1) angry in that they thing RIM is going too slow or 2) truly trying to help each other out. The formal response is that 2010 is not yet supported by the RIM DTM software and no expectation of when that shall happen can be provided.
    Good luck!

I have downloaded a program but unable to view, message -50, I'm asked to verify my connection. The program started and then there was just audio, and then stopped completely

I have contacted the library staff and they said that I could go back and download again, this time into ITunes.  However when I try, it says that since I've already downloaded it once, it will go into the same file this time (again onto my hard drive).

  • Outlook connector: Assigned task notification message is not functionable

    Hi!
I can easily assign task from OC to user user1.
But user1 can not neither "Accept" nor "Decline" the task notification. Error message "The task ... cannot be sent. It may be an attachment of another message." is appear.
Is that the bug or lack of functionality of Outlook Connector ?
We are using Outlook Connector 7.1_233

This is currently a limitation in the product which may get addressed in the next release (7.3 update 2). I highly recommend raising this issue with your Sun account manager who can then raise it with the Outlook Connector product management.

When i go on my iphone 4s and go to my hotmail I cannot see the messages in my subfolders which i have created, however when i go on my laptop and go into my hotmail the messages can be viewed there. i have seen some discussions and solutions on how to view them so I tried adding an account being the microsoft exchane i put in the required info and it tells me it cannot create account that an identical hotmail account already exists... i may have done something wrong the first time i tried and somehow it has my info but nothing has worked...Please help me.

Delete the account from you iPhone first (Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>tap the account, tap Delete Account), then try setting it up as an Exchange account (see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32784/sync-hotmail-with-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch -with-exchange-activesync/).

  • Unable to View Messages

I have been downloading and sending e-mails on my macbook for some time and suddenly I can no longer receive e-mails. I can see the new e-mails being downloaded in the activity monitor but they don't show up in the inbox. I can still send e-mails without any problem. I have the same e-mail account set up on my home imac and this is working fine. Any ideas?

    Ernie,
First let me say thanks for you time and trying to help.
Yes, I do have an icon that looks like a mail tray inside my POP folder. When I click on the icon I get a file called info.plist. When I open this file there is just some incoherent data. The other icon in this folder is "sent messages.mbox" which is also looks like a mail tray. When I click on this icon I get a folder titled messages and inside are my sent items. These are the only items inside the POP folder. There are a number of other items inside the mail folder located in the Library. Do you need a list of all these items?

  • Unable to view Messages under Cellular Settings

I am an iPhone user from the United States visiting the Netherlands for 2 months. I had planned on using iMessages to keep in touch with people back home. Unfortunately, since switching my Verizon SIM card out for an international carrier (World Sim), I have lost access to iMessages. Under the general Settings, when I click on iMessage and toggle the slider to 'On' I get the following: iMessage Unavailable. Turn on cellular data or use Wi-Fi to set up iMessage. However, when I go into my Settings>Cellular, I no longer even see Messages as an option. Suggestions!?

  • How to view messages in custom folders in PC Suite...

    Hi,
I've got a 7710 cell phone, and have organized my messages in some custom folders, but when I connect my cell phone to my PC I can not access these custom folders, and only INBOX, SENT, DRAFTS and OUTBOX are seen.
Is there any way to see custom folders via PC Suite and phone browser?
Is it any plan for future versions of PC Suite to support this?

No. Is like that. The message operation of PCSuite is on my opinion the weakest part of it. Is very limited. Follow the new version on support pages, and wait for new releases, because is always improved from version to version.

I haven't looked at the code, but suspect that problem is that simply deploying the class is not sufficient, as the console class loader won't be able to find classes embedded in a deployment. The class likely needs to be in the system classpath.
A work-around might be to code your own browser tool in java or WLST scripting. I think we'll be releasing a white-paper on this type of coding in the within the next few weeks.

  • Microsoft Outlook truncates messagies before sending (Outlook Connector)

Using Outlook Connector, connectod to SUN messaging server, when new message or REPLY is composed, and SENT, outlook sends just a part of a message - last edited lines just disappears. receiver receives truncated message, and truncated message appears in SENT folder.
It seems to be "Autosave problem". That Outlook sends LAST DRAFT auto saved message version?
When Outlook autosave is set OFF, composing and sending works fine.
Problem appears on different workstations: Windows XP, Windows VISTA, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007....
Does anybody knows solution for this? Or this is server configuration problem?

    >
In future please provide the exact version of Outlook Connector that you are running.
Using Outlook Connector, connectod to SUN messaging server, when new message or REPLY is composed, and SENT, outlook sends just a part of a message - last edited lines just disappears. receiver receives truncated message, and truncated message appears in SENT folder. This sounds like a known issue that was fixed some time ago:
bug #6441043 - "after autosave and continue to edit text is lost".
Can you reproduce this problem with the latest version of Outlook Connector (OC7.3 - 139162-01) which can be downloaded via sunsolve.sun.com?
