Outlook Contacts import problem

Yees, the new version 5.0.1 fix the problem that dont import contacts on ipod and cause an error. But now, i want to transfer ALL contacts on my ipod... iTunes seem to transfer only the contacts who have an email address in his infos !! Why ? Some contacts dont have an email so why iTunes dont import them too ??

I would like to create two folders - one for me and one for my wife. So under 'My Contacts' in Outlook 2010 it looks like this:
Suggested contacts
Contacts
Suggested contacts (email address)
Simon's contacts
Julie's contacts
iTunes has picked up these sub-folders - THANKS!
However, I would like to keep the 'Contacts' folder with all the contacts in and only copy selected contacts from there and place them into my wife's folder and mine. The 'copy' function does not seem to work.
Obviously my contacts are different to my wife's and she does not want hundreds of names on her contact list.
So, basically how do I copy contacts without moving them out of the contacts folder and manually typing them all back in my wife's folder (some contacts we both need)?

Automate Outlook Contact import/export?

I am in the process of developing a contact management system
for my company and have built coldfusion pages that allow the user
to import their personal contacts from outlook, as well as export
contacts from the system into their MS Outlook contacts.
The process is fairly simple on the users (in my mind) but it
requires using Outlook's import/export function, which is about 6
or 7 steps. My users would of course like to have this process
simplified.
Is it possible to have a button on one of my pages that
automates the entire process? i.e. creates the csv file (or
whatever other format is needed) and then automatically pushes that
data into outlook (and vice versa) ?
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Outlook contacts & Comcast problems

I'm a total Newbie!!
I have 2 problems.Until I purchased my 8130, my email & cell contacts were completely seperate.I synced on Outlook and it worked perfectly.
1. My first problem is that I can not "import" my address book from Comcast.All my old emails transferred over w/o a prob.I am now adding email addresses as I receive them or from old emails.Any suggestions?
2. Now that I synced, I have a mess of contacts on Outlook from my BB in almost no particular order.This may be more of an Outlook question, but I'm not sure how to "contain" this mess to get everything organized.Not sure the difference of address book and contacts on Outlook.I don't need my "cell phone" contacts mixed with email addresses.
I do have an Outlook manual, but haven't found anything.
Any suggestions?

Check if you have any attach file in contacts, remove the attach and sync again.

Outlook olm import problem

i recently switch hosting from bluehost to godaddy.
I use outlook with IMAP.
I exported everything to .olm, then swtich DNS setting.
i want to import it back to outlook. but when the process it done, nothing show up.
im sure i exported everything, including mail, contact, and other information.
what should i do to have all the email back.

Outlook contacts sync problem !!!

I exported all my phone numbers from my old phone to Outlook
but when Itunes try to sync with Outlook I got the following
message and nothing (none of my phone contacts) is transfered
to my Iphone.
Erros message:
"error occurred remapping record identifiers"
Anybody had the same problem already ??
I tried reinstalling Itunes, Outlook but nothing seesm to help me out...?!!

resynch with Itunes, so I never lost them realy, Apollo simply hides them
somehow....
I tried to synch with Itunes just to be sure my error message wouldn't reappear
again but it didn't...

Outlook contacts import

Im trying to bring 4 years worth of buisness contacts from Outlook (express?) on my toshiba notebook into my new macbook pro's apple mail or entourage programs, at least to my address book! I have been on the phone 3 times to mac support but none of them could get my distribution list over. Any ideas?

Is it Outlook or Outlook Express. It's important to know which one.

Preserve Outlook contacts import in address book

I'm trying to export all my contacts from Outlook to Address Book and keep the groups ('categories' in MS Outlook). I've tried Outlook2Mac and exporting it to tab delimited files, but my groups are lost. My last attempt:
In Outlook, I can double click on one category and send all the contacts as separate vCards. In Mail, I save all the attachments and drag them from my download folder into a group in Address Book. But.. then it adds annoying text in every contact:

I have tried O2M (outlook2mail) but that did not work. I get one big heap of contacts, without the groups.

PST (Outlook) files import problem..XP

Former computer crashed but have hard drive so can get at Outlook pst files. Anyone have any probs importing them? Mine says incompatible format when I try it. Also just tried copying the files into the directory and it says incompatible when I try to launch Outlook. I'll hit up Microsoft next but wanted to check here first.

What version of office did the old computer have and what version does the new computer have.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram. Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.
T400 2765-T7U Windows 7

Tour Outlook Contacts Synchronization Problem

Every time I wire synch my BB Tour with my MS Outlook, the Contacts on my computer (Dell PC) have added lines in the address of the contact and a repearted duplicated line of the street or suite part of the address. Is there a way to stop this. It does it on about 100 of my 1400 contacts every time I synch.

The following steps will help you to configure synchronization -
Connect your device using Desktop Manager and click on Synchronize
From the menu on the left click Synchronization under Configuration
Again click Synchronization button on the right which will give you option to Select Device Application that you want to synchronize
Put the check mark and you'll get a prompt to Select Desktop Application
Highlight the application name and click next button
Under Synchronization Option you get Direction of Synchronization
Check the radio button with Two way sync
Note: above mentioned steps are explained as per Desktop Manager 4.7
Example: Synchronize address book/calendar -
Connect you handheld with your desktop Manager in your PC. If you device is set to wireless sync then you need to turn off wireless synchronization.
To do so go to Address Book -> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes. For Calendar, Calendar -> click Menu -> Options -> choose desired Calendar -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes.
Click on the Synchronize button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address Book/Calendar (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes, Yahoo! etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization radio button and click OK twice go back to Synchronize tab ->click on Synchronize Now.

Outlook 2002 Syching Problem

Itunes 7.5.0.20 says that it will only synch with Outlook 2003 or newer. I do not want to upgrade my Outlook. Is there any solution to this problem?

And let me also guess - they didn't happen to mention "which" Microsoft update caused the problem so have to wonder how they came to that conclusion.
Anyhow - note the bold part in the error you've encountered - which is an error being returned by your ISP's SMTP server and has absolutely nothing to do with Outlook
Sending reports error (0x 800CCC78) Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded 452 4.7.0 (F11)
To many messages sent.
Virtually every ISP these days is enforcing some kind of limit for messages sent which could be impacting the issue. The controls can be any combination of the following
#1 - # of recipients in one message
#2 - total # of messages sent in any given hour
#3 - total # messages sent in any given day

OUTLOOK 2003 Question/Problem

I have been using my Iphone for approx. 2 weeks and to date it has performed as advertised... now all of a sudden; it appears I miss 4-8 outlook e-mails per day! Even stranger.... When I send a test email from my personal and corporate email... it comes through. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on or suggestions on potential fixes?

Outlook contact deleted

I'm running Office 365 Business, and had copied all contacts and email (.pst file) across from my old computer to new outlook, however i have just realized i have now lost over half of the notes on my contacts.
Can anyone help to get them back and keep the notes, i can obviously go and copy the pst file again but if it does the same i'm just wasting my time till i know that they won't go missing again.

Just to clarify something for all concerned - what exactly do you mean by "we had copied all contacts and email (.pst file)? Specifically did you
1) copy the PST file to the new computer and opened that PST file in Outlook '2013 showing contacts with a different value in the Notes field between the original versius new?
2) copy the PST file to the new computer and imported the PST file or opened the PST file and copied the items from the old PST folder to the equivalent new folder?
In addition
3) What is the format of the original PST file? ANSI or Unicode (if you click on the root of the PST file --> Properties --> Advanced ...... does the value beside <Format> include (97-2002) = ANSI otherwise it's a Unicode file
4) If you run ScanPST on the PST file on the original system - are any errors reported? If yes, those should be corrected before opening it in OL'2013 <especially> if it's an ANSI based PST file
5) What is the size of the Notes field that are being truncated?

Empty results while importing outlook contact list with PHP

Hello. Could you help me with such problem:
I'm always receiving an empty result while importing contact list from my outlook mail account.
I've had successfully created live app (https://account.live.com/developers/applications). I'm using REST api (https://apis.live.net/v5.0/me/contacts?&access_token=" . $access_token) and successfully received "access_token". But in the end
I receive empty result in such form:
{ ["data"]=> array(0) { } ["paging"]=> array(0) { } } (certainly, I have few contacts in my outlook contact list)

Desktop Manager is not contact manager. Restore it from Backup to a HH and then sync it with contacts in Outlook at home for example. Extract contacts to PST file. Import those to new company outlook contacts and they will sync over the air with handheld.

IOS 8.1.3 and Importing Outlook Contacts

I recently updated iTunes and my iPhone 5S. I am unable to import my contacts from Outlook 2010. I had no problems before until the update. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Again, to clarify, I had no problems before the update. Nothing has changed other than the iPhone firmware and the iTunes version.
I don't want to use iCloud. It's just one more security risk for me.

There are some solutions that were thrown and with success. First, the exact problem lies with iTunes v12.1, not v12.0. Apparently, someone downloaded and installed v12.0 and was able to get the sync working. Others had system restore points and was able to go back.
I have tried going down to v11.4 but that will not install on any of my computers. You can download the v11.4 from Apple but it's in 32-bit only. Perhaps that's why it didn't work, I have 64-bit computers. iTunes v12.0 worked for others and I have yet to try this because I'm unable to find a reputable source to trust the installer. Apple does not have v12.0 available on their site, as far as I know of.
Another alternative, besides the iCloud, is to convert all your Outlook contacts to Windows contacts. This is a hassle because you're changing format from Outlook to vCard/CSV to Windows. This is what I did for now and it's not a perfect conversion.
