Outlook doesn't delete Account

I am typically able to fix things like this but this continues to stump me. I added an email account to outlook 03 and then I realised I didn't need it. so I went under tools, accounts, and clicked remove. I looked back at the area of folders and it was still there. I clicked on it and an error message popped up. I went back under accounts but it wasn't under there. Any suggestions on what to do?

How were you able to open Outlook in the first place?

Deleting email in Outlook doesn't delete on iDevices

Hello,
I have an iPad mini and an iPhone 4. I have my Exchange (Office 365) account setup on both devices. Lately, when I delete an email in Outlook, it is not removed from either my iPad or my iPhone. I am still receiving mail on both of those devices without issue. I am not sure when the problem started and one of my coworkers that has an iPhone isn't having the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions other than removing the account from the iDevices and then adding it back? I'd rather only do that as a last resort.

That would be the best way to troubleshoot the problem, delete the account and reinstall it.

Is there any way to recover deleted account on outlook express?

I didn't know that deleting account in outlook express will also delete the DBX files of that account. Is there any way to recover the dbx files?

Unfortunately, the mail accounts settings (and messages rules) for Outlook Express are stored in the Windows registry and not in a file that can be easily restored.

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Is there any way to sync contacts created on iPhone that saved to Outlook through an exchange account without CSV migration?

I thought setting up my work email on my iPhone would be a wonderful help in making after-hours labor easier...I had no idea how much I would be blending my business and personal life. I didn't know it would set Outlook as the default account for new contacts so, all newly created contacts became outlook entries. The second I noticed some really random numbers in my work account virtual roladex, I did the research and immediately made the change. (It would be really difficult to explain that "4/20 Josh" is legitimately a brewery friend to whom I was introduced on April 20th, at a special beer release event.) Needless to say, I am hoping to separate the work and non-work friends.
Now I'm wondering if there is a way to migrate or backup those contacts to an alternate account other than through a CSV file migration. A lot of contacts are saved with photos and strange fields of info, it would be great if there were a better way to transfer the content than by way of commas.
Thoughts or suggestions?

Worked like a charm and resolved my problem totally. The only issue I had is that, unlike the Computer (Mac OS). the iPad doesn't give constant visibility to what it is doing (feedback), so I wasn't initially sure it had done anything.
When I opened my emailed message with .vcf file attached, and tapped the .vcf attachment icon, I saw activity on the icon for just a few seconds, then it reverted to the original with nothing apparently happening. After about 30 seconds, the secondary menut popped up indicating the transfer of 1200 addresses would be completed, if I approved the action. Another 10 to 15 seconds then transpired before the completed Contact list appeared on the ipad. So you must be patient, if you have a large Addressbook. That's reasonable,but unexpected lack of feedback left me wondering, like so many other things on the iPad.
THank you for the assist. Apparently Apples Mac Genius people did not know this procedure, and I will pass it on to my local Apple Store Instructor.

you still didn't answer the question.... unless you mean to say that you have an AT&T e-mail account. (e.g. @att.net)
If that's what you mean, they use Yahoo for e-mail services. Yahoo's mail servers are notoriously bad. This comes up here at least several times a week. The problem is on the Yahoo end. Trust me, the AT&T rep you spoke to doesn't know what they are talking about. Removing and re-adding the account increases the odds that you will actually hit a working server, but it's not guaranteed to do so.
Set up a gmail account or iCloud account and consider switching.

I am able to receive messages on my IMac using Outlook but am unable to send. I've had no trouble in the past but began receiving the following messages today.

When attempting to check and send email from my Mac via iCloud, I keep getting the error "Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods." I have change just about everything I can see available, but continue to get this message.
I am able to send email via iCloud using my .Me and .Mac adresses, and that tells me that it is not able to store "sent emails" on iCluud and will store them loaclly on my computer. I can handle this, but whem going to iCloud Web page haave nothing withing the "sent" mailbox.

Sync not working and I can't reset, delete account or ANYTHING!

Sync is not working, says server isn't configured right.
Have tried to reset sync and it doesn't work.
Have tried to delete account and it won't.
Tried to sign up for new account but it says my email is already in use.
NOTHING I can do to use Sync!

Push notification problems in ios 8.1 for outlook and hotmail imap accounts

I am having issues with push notifications ios 8.1 on my iPhone 6 for my Hotmail.com and outlook.com accounts.
No problem at all with my icloud email.
I get notifications off and on but not all the time. Push has become very unreliable and I constantly have to check my emails. The emails do sync correctly as they are in the mail app, however most of the time I don’t receive the push notifications unless I'm in the mail app. I have tried all of the below suggested "fixes", but none of them solve the problem:
- Reset Network settings - Deleted accounts/rebooted phone/added accounts again - Changed password - Changed from push to fetch and back again - Checked all push settings which are set to push on lock screen - Cellular data is enabled for mail.

Hello, I had the same issue since a few days.... really annoying. In fact I received the "badge", the label indicating I received new mails but it wasn't able to load them. I also tried everything you mentionned but now i gave up and deleted my hotmail mailbox on my iphone and reset it as exchange mailbox. ( in the screen where you can choose which type of mailbox you want to install eg. outlook/yahoo/.... you can choose the option exchange). sadly enough you can only see the mails of max 1 month old (manually to adapt 1 day / 5 days/ etc) and you can't really browse through your mail archives. But at least I receive my mails again!

Apple Mail files for deleted account?

After I delete one of my Gmail accounts in Apple Mail, there still remains a folder at:
~/Library/Mail/V2/IMAP- (and then the email address of the removed/deleted account)
Does that make sense? I thought it deleted all data files.

No, it doesn't remove the mbox data from deleted accounts. As to why, my best guess would be that if you are to add the email account again, the slow process of downloading and caching all the data from the email host server again is avoided. If you want to completely remove the IMAP account, you can safely delete the mentioned path.

Hi Brooks, The right way to do it is to import the photos from within iPhoto. iPhoto doesn't like it when you drop stuff in from within Finder. Ditto iTunes.
Open iPhoto>File>Import to library...
Navigate to the albums in the deleted user folder, click 'Import'.

Is there a way of syncing local contacts only when outlook has an exchange account in the profile

I have Outlook 2010 set up with both a Pop3 account and a Microsoft Exchange account in the same profile. I have local contacts and Calendar entries in Outlook. The pop account is set up as the default account. When I sync Calendars and Contacts, then the exchange entries get transferred to the iPhone, even though the iPhone has the exchange account set up on it (and therefore I get the contacts and appointments over the air) but does not sync the local contacts and appointments.
If I split the accounts into two profiles and set the profile with the pop account as the default profile then I get the local contacts, but having to swap between profiles is a pain.
Can anybody help?

You don't need to access your e-mail account, just get into your Apple account and change the e-mail address. If you can't access your Apple account, then you have a bigger issue to contend with.
