Outlook E-Mail View - Task toolbar - Calendar show more days

Hi
In Outlook 2013 you can enable the Calendar View on the right side of the Mail View:
Here you can see the calendar and the (cut off) text (on top of People panel) "You have nothing else scheduled today". This calendar panel shows only appointments for today.
If I have an appointment tomorrow, the panel doesn't show it. In Outlook 2007 I could see all appointments in near future.
Is there a possibility to show more appointments from the future in this view, not only from today?
Thanks

You can't confirm anything, just like the rest of the Microsoft goons.  Shut up if you don't know what you are talking about.  Half of Microsoft's problem is that very few of you have any clue.
If you want to preview the calendar on the as you did in 2003+, simply right click on the "Calendar" button at the bottom of Outlook while in the mail view and choose "Dock in Peek".  This will pop the calendar up on the right,
in the mail view.  If you want to see flagged items, go to "View" and toggle the "To-Do" bar.
Good job Tony.  Thanks for sorting it all out for us.  smdh
No, I can confirm this is by design in current version of Outlook 2013 RTM. You may go to another thread with the same topic for reference.
Thanks.

  • Can SharePoint calendar show more than 3 items on a Day's schedule in Month view? How?

    Hi there,
    Can SharePoint calendar show more than 3 items on a Day's schedule in Month view? How?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to expand all items if a Day’s schedule has more than 3 items.
    You could accomplish your requirement with jQuery to auto expand all items when you load month view, please refer to this article:
    Auto Expand Month View on SharePoint 2013 Calendar
    http://blog.eastridge.net/auto-expand-month-view-on-sharepoint-2013-calendar
    If I misunderstand your requirement, please provide more detailed information.

  • Viewing Tasks in Calendar

    Hi,
    I am attempting to view my tasks in the calendar. After selecting this preference in the Calendar options, I return to agenda view (my default setting for calendar). Firstly, the tasks cause the program to make the dates appear out of order. As in first appears May 13-15 (where I have the only all day events in the calendar), then February 12, 1705435 (the date of the undated tasks) and then the agenda view continues from April onwards (skipping the May 13-15). Also, the February 12, 1705435 appears a second time at the very end with additional undated tasks.
    How can I have the tasks (dated and undated ones) appear in calendar view without disrupting the proper order of the dates?
    Any help appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi Armando!
    This can be eventually tied with the fact that the affected user might have personalization set in the UWL. To check this please follow the steps from this page:
    Removing Personalized Information - Configuring the Universal Worklist - SAP Library
    Let us know the results in case this helps!
    Other than that, all that I can think is something tied with the current iView/XML settings performed in the scenario. For this aspect, I would suggest that you test from the UWL iView provided under the Content Provided by SAP folder within the Portal Content. For this, please check the following documentation to get to know the location, in case you don't know it:

  • Problem with Calendar showing first day events

    In my Java Bean, i have the following:
    public ResultSet getEvents(GregorianCalendar start, GregorianCalendar end)
              ResultSet rs = null;
              java.sql.Timestamp startDate = new java.sql.Timestamp(start.getTimeInMillis());
              java.sql.Timestamp endDate = new java.sql.Timestamp(end.getTimeInMillis());
              try {
              ps = con.prepareStatement("select * from events where startDate = '" + startDate + "' and startDate <= '" + endDate + "' order by startTime");
              rs = ps.executeQuery();
              catch (SQLException sqle) {}
              return rs;
    When ever my JSP page calls for this, it will not show the first day of the month Events. What am i doing wrong?

    I would guess that there's an SQLException being thrown, probably due to your database not liking the toString() output of Timestamp. Your code is eating SQLExceptions, though, so you'll never see the error.
    You've gone to the trouble of creating Timestamp objects, use them appropriately:ps = con.prepareStatement("select * from events where startDate >= ? and startDate <= ? order by startTime");
    ps.setTimestamp(1, startDate);
    ps.setTimestamp(2, endDate);
    rs = ps.executeQuery();

  • Synching Calendar shows all day events over two days

    Hello, been playing around with this for the last hour.
    I run entourage and sync calendar events via itunes no problems, but today i noticed that some events for example birthdays were running across two days, checked them in calendar and they are fine, also check the events in ical and they are all set as one day.
    When i synch the phone, i get an event running across two days????
    tried various options, removing from one an sycnhing back and to, removed evertyhing from iphone and chose in itunes to Replace information on this iphone yet events are two days. Edit them on the phone and resynch and they appear again as two days.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for any advice offered?

    I did, and said that there are others. I did not however specify a specific thread.
    Is there some reason why you cannot search for answers using the search facility ?
    Its not difficult - just like using Google. there are a few threads i have seen in the last week or so, but I'm too lazy to point them out for you.

  • HT204053 Calendar shows up on i Cloud but it doesn't show any appointments.  No problem with mail or Contacts.  Anybody else having this problem?

    I have spend days trying to figure out why my appointments don't show up on the iCloud calendar.  iCal on my Mac is just fine, all appointments are visible and working.  I can get contacts on iCloud and Mail on iCloud but calendar shows up with no appointments.  Help !

    I have this same problem. However, if I enter all my appointments on the iCloud calendar, they magically show up on my macbook air calendar.
    I think the problem might be something to do with different logons. I have just bought this macbook air and when I transferred my old computer's data onto the new computer, time machine via migrantion assistant, it forced me to create a different user for the old data. The new identity automatically created by the new OS syncs to iCloud, but not the old data identity. Since I have all my data on the old identity, I want to keep using this. But how to get it to sync to iCloud? Can anyone help us? I can't see my mail on iCloud either - at least not from the old identity.

  • Cannot see tasks in calendar

    Hey there, Have tried to view tasks in calendar by selection "yes" in options for calendar under "show tasks". It is not working. AT&T store suggested new software download. No luch. Curve 8310. Any ideas?

    Tasks are not under calendar, it is a separate option / icon on Blackberry

  • Can't see month view in iCloud calendar

    When I click on the month view tab at the bottom of the iCloud calendar screen, nothing happens. For that matter, clicking on the day tab doesn't do anything either.
    As another annoyance, in the week view I see the weeks events that were brought in from my Mac, but going to the next week shows no events. HELP!

    I am having the same problem. It started when the month view was not available. It took me a long time to figure out that when I minimize the month view, it shows up on the dock as a teeny tiny icon. When I click it, nothing happens. When I go to Week View then my calendar shows up. NOW though, my week view has disappeared and now I'm only left with DAY view. The same exact thing happens in Week view. I have no window, nothing to "grab" that I can possibly see to get it back on my screen. BUT it will be a teeny tiny icon when it's minimized.
    The only thing I can think of is that I'm a tech teacher using a projector and my laptop changes resolutions with different software programs. I have had iCal open when the resolution has had to change. The only thing I can think of is that somehow that did something to the window and I can't get it back.

  • When I drag .ics files into Outlook for Mac 2011, only the all-day events show up. It won't show part-day events.

    I'm attempting to copy events from the Calendar app on my MacBook pro to the Outlook 2011 calendar. When I drop and drag the .ics files to Outlook, it accepts the information, but only shows all day events. I've tried changing events in Calendar to all day, then create the .ics file then drop and drag to Outlook, and even that doesn't work. Is anyone else having that problem? Has anyone found a solution for this?

  • Possible to show fewer Calendar hours per day?

    Is there a way to reduce the number of hours Calendar shows each day?
    My appointments happen between the hours of 8am and 8pm.  But CAL shows all 24 hours each day.  If I have one appointment at 8am, one at 2pm, a third at 4pm and maybe a dinner at 7pm, the page view on iPhone limits my view to one or two of these appointments.  To see others I have to scroll up or down.  Not a big deal but I'd like to see all that day's appointments on one page view.
    Is there a way to do this?

  • Mail for Exchange, new task and calendar entries

    Dear All,
    I am having a wonderful time with a brand new E71 plus the latest version of Mail for Exchange (2.09.158 as per the info screen on the device). It syncs fine with a Exchange 2003 server in that contacts, tasks and calendar entries (it is not supposed to sync mail as well) are properly downloaded and changes made on the phone are replicated back to the server on the next sync.  The fun starts when I create a new task or calendar entry on the phone: Those are  not created on the server at all. Another problem is deleting a task on the phone that was created on the server. For some reason the deletion does not show up on the server as well and the task remains there until deleted via Outlook. Has anybody seen this kind of behaviour? I cannot debug anything on the server, since it is a hosted solution from an ISP. Neither can I sniff the network traffic, since that is SSL encrypted. Any tips and/or work arounds are greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,

    bump.
    still the same even with the latest version.

  • Calendar shows task always in user-timezone

    Hi,
    First a short introduction in my problem:
    I've implemented a calendar which should view these 3 Tasks:
    - 6.5.2008   00:00 -  6.5.2008 23:59   Task 1 (1 day duration)  in UTC
    - 7.5.2008   00:00 -  8.5.2008 23:59   Task 2 (2 day duration)  in UTC
    - 5.5.2008   00:00 -  9.5.2008 23:59   Task 3 (5 day duration)  in UTC
    The Demo User which logs in has TimeZone "Europe/Berlin". The Calendar has a dropdownbox where the user can select either "Facility" or "My TimeZone":
    In "Facility" the User should see these 3 Tasks in UTC an not in his own timezone (all tasks from 00:00 to 23:59).
    In "my timezone", he should see the 3 Tasks in his TimeZone (Europe/Berlin is UTC+2h at the moment) --> so the tasks are always from 02:00 - 01:59 for him.
    The Problem:
    When the sap.authentification is enabled and a user logs in, the "Facility" never shows me this Tasks in UTC. The Task is always shown in his timezone (02:00 - 01:59). But I have set UTC anywhere.
    In "my timezone", where i load the current user-timezone its shown from 00:00 - 23:59.
    I have absolutely no idea why the context element shows this always in user timezone
    (_context element "timezone" of the Calendar view is bound to my attribute "zeitzone"_)
    Here is the code part - I've debugged already. Everywhere is set UTC, but the Calendar always shows in userTime.
    private void fillCalendar(String zeitstring) //
           deleteEntries();
            // check which mode is selected
            if (zeitstring == "Facility")
                // default should be UTC
                zeitzone = TimeZone.getDefault();
                zeitzone.setID("UTC");
                zeitzone = TimeZone.getTimeZone(zeitzone.getID());

                Time myTime = Time.valueOf("00:00:00");
                CctTime firstVisibleTime = new CctTime(myTime);
                // determine the startdate and starttime for the calendar
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setFirstVisibleDate(firstVisibleDate);
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setFirstVisibleTime(firstVisibleTime);
                TimeZone tz = TimeZone.getDefault();
                IECCalendarInterface calendarInterface = new ExampleCalendarEntrySupplier();
                List calendarEntries = calendarInterface.getCalendarEntries();
                int i = 0;

                for (Iterator iterator = calendarEntries.iterator(); iterator.hasNext();)
                    ECCalendarEntry entry = (ECCalendarEntry) iterator.next();
                    CctCode timeZoneCode = new CctCode(tz.getDisplayName(), null, null, null, null, null);
                    CctDateTime startDate = new CctDateTime(entry.getMStartDate(), timeZoneCode, new Boolean("false"));
                    CctDateTime endDate = new CctDateTime(entry.getMEndDate(), timeZoneCode, new Boolean("false"));
                    i++;
                    zeitzone = TimeZone.getDefault();
                    createEntry(startDate, endDate, entry.getMTitle(), entry.getMDescription(), WDTableCellDesign.valueOf(i));
            else if (zeitstring == "My TimeZone")
                ISessionContext context = SessionContextFactory.create();
                zeitzone = context.getCurrentUser().getTimeZone();
                TimeZone.setDefault(zeitzone);
                Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance().getInstance(zeitzone);
                CctDate firstVisibleDate = new CctDate(new java.sql.Date(calendar.getTimeInMillis()));
                Time myTime = Time.valueOf("00:00:00");
                CctTime firstVisibleTime = new CctTime(myTime);
                // determine the startdate and starttime for the calendar
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setFirstVisibleDate(firstVisibleDate);
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setFirstVisibleTime(firstVisibleTime);
                TimeZone tz = TimeZone.getDefault();
                IECCalendarInterface calendarInterface = new ExampleCalendarEntrySupplier();
                List calendarEntries = calendarInterface.getCalendarEntries();
                deleteEntries();
                int i = 0;
                for (Iterator iterator = calendarEntries.iterator(); iterator.hasNext();)
                    ECCalendarEntry entry = (ECCalendarEntry) iterator.next();
                    CctCode timeZoneCode1 = new CctCode(tz.getDisplayName(), null, null, null, null, null);
                    CctDateTime startDate = new CctDateTime(entry.getMStartDate(), timeZoneCode1, new Boolean("false"));
                    CctDateTime endDate = new CctDateTime(entry.getMEndDate(), timeZoneCode1, new Boolean("false"));
                    i++;
                    createEntry(startDate, endDate, entry.getMTitle(), entry.getMDescription(), WDTableCellDesign.valueOf(i));
    Thank you,
    Daniel
    Update:
    I've tried to fix the problem nearly the whole day.
    I've debugged the fillCalendar()-Method while inserting the first Task:
    - Default Timezone is "UTC"!
    - zeitzone.ID and tz.ID are always set on "UTC"
    - timeZoneCode is "Koordinierte Universalzeit null null null null null" (koordinierte Universalzeit is German for UTC )
    - startDate : "06.05.2008 00:00:00 Koordinierte Universalzeit false"
    - endDate: "06.05.2008 23:59:00 Koordinierte Universalzeit false"
    - calendar.zone.ID is set to "UTC"
    ---> The Calendar shows the task from 06.05.2008  02:00 to 07.05.2008  01.59
    Somewhere must stand my timezone and the calendar refuses to display the view in UTC!!! But where?
    Edited by: Daniel Mler on May 8, 2008 3:31 PM

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your reply.
    You can now look only at the code in the first IF-Condition: (Facility)
    I've just tried to replace "UTC" with "CST"... in debugger he calculates me the new times:
    startDate: 13.05.2008 05:00:00 Zentrale Normalzeit false
    endDate: 14.05.2008 04:59:00 Zentrale Normalzeit false  It works...
    The problem is only that the calendar contextelement doesn't set this new time now. It creates the task from 7:00 to 6:59 .... 2 hours later.
    These 2 hours are the difference from myTimeZone (the user i logged in: Europe/Berlin = UTC+2h) to UTC.
    So I want that the default timezone of the calender is UTC and not the timezone from the logged in user.
    But I can't logon without user (then it works!) because I need the User for another functionality (myTimeZone)

  • Outlook 2010/Shared calendar showing as busy/no detail

    Hi, user has editor access to another user's calendar yet only free/busy information is showing.
    The primary user's profile also has a second exchange account on it. Thought this account might be limiting things so gave it editor access as well. Still, only busy information is shown on calendar.
    Anything else to check? Thanks in advance-

    Hi,
    Create a new Outlook profile for the user to test the issue again.
    1. Exit Outlook.
    2. Go to Start > Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.
    3. Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.
    4. Click Add.
    5. Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.
    6. Highlight the profile, and choose Properties. Then Email Accounts.., add your email account in the profile.
    7. Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.
    If this problem does not occur in the new Outlook profile, the old Outlook is corrupted. We can delete that and use a new Outlook profile.
