Outlook Email photos are visible in IE but not on Firefox, why?

Outlook Live email photos that are not attachments are missing from emails. If I open the same in IE, they are there. How do I fix?

The images might be embedded as CID (Content-ID) (src="cid:image") that link to an image that is attached to the message.<br />
Firefox doesn't handle images embedded that way.
You would need an email program like Thunderbird to see the images.

  • Email Alerts are working for some but not all users

    If some users are getting the alerts and some not, it seems more likely that the issue is with your email server or email clients, not with your SW setup.
    Have you checked SPAM / Junk folders on the server and on the clients?

    We have alerts setup for multiple scenarios.  All of our users are setup the same but not everyone is getting the alert.  We are using the spiceworks mail servers and I have checked the Spiceworks App Notifications are set to Yes.  Any ideas?

  • How come my comments are visible in iweb but not on published site?

    I published my site (after many frustrating attempts and publish errors) and had allowed comments. I made a blog entry and published to .mac and found out from a friend that that particular entry didn't have an option to add a comment. I tried to republish many times - I don't know how it happened but the comment option showed up eventually. I had the same thing happen again today so I tried publishing again but this time I tried publishing to a folder. Not sure if this caused the problem but now one comment on the blog disappeared and the rest are only visible in iweb and not on the published site - on the published site there isn't an opportunity to add comments where they used to be. Can I get the comments back on my site?
    Thank you for any help.
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Oh, rats. Do I need to remove the folder that I published to? I'm not even sure where to find it. I have republished successfully with the comments still in iweb but they don't show up on-line. I'd really like to get them back on if possible.

  • Can I restore imap emails that are on my iphone but not on gmail?

    Boy did I goof!
    I was in gmail and I thought all of the e-mails in the All Mail folder were old/deleted emails. I checked the first hundred and they were all old. So I deleted them and that moved them to the Trash. Then I deleted the Trash. Apparently ALL of my e-mails were in the All Mail folder...makes sense, but that's not what it appeared when I looked in the All Mail folder to make sure that wasn't the case.
    I use IMAP with my gmail account. They are gone when I log into gmail. They are gone in Thunderbird. But I have not updated my mail on my iPhone...any chance I can recover them from there? My guess is no, but thought I'd ask.
    Thanks!

    I don't believe there's any way to do that, no. As soon as the mail client connects with the server for any reason, it will sync with the server, deleting them from the phone as well.

    http://www.thomasdrotardesign.com/setdesign.html
    at the bottom of the page i have a component swiper. in safari if you swipe the page you will see background images. But in Firefox  the images are not not showing at all.
    I redid the photos in photoshop cs6 to make sure they are rgb and saved for web.
    my css is as follows...
    .drotarTwoPhoto {
              margin-left: 10px;
              margin-top: -0px;
              width: 725px;
              height: 483px;
              background-image: url(i/two.jpg);
              background-repeat: no-repeat;
    my html code for this is:
    <!-------------------- PAGE TWO START---------------- -->
       <div class="page two">
        <aside class="blackBottom"> </aside>
        <img src="i/two.jpg" width="725" height="483" class="drotarTwoPhoto">

    I tested the link in firefox to make sure it was there and it is:
    http://www.thomasdrotardesign.com/setdesign/setDesignBottomFoto/i/two.jpg
    any idea why it is not showing in Firefox 18.01?
    [email protected]

    It looks like you're closing </head> tag in in the wrong place in the page from the iframe (bottom.html). That may be causing a problem with the script writing in the background image to the blank parts in your css.
    Right now it is on line 17, before the opening <style> tag, it should be on line 776. You are also missing the opening <body> tag.

  • Images visible in Safari but not in Firefox

    I am having a problem with something that should be rudimentary in i-web.
    When I create a new page using a "photos" template everything seems to show up when building the site.
    When I view the website online everything seems fine in Safari.
    I can view the slideshow in static or dynamic mode. I can click the download button.
    If Firefox, however, all I can see are the page links. No images show up.
    For what it is worth I have uploaded the image via an FTP and automatically with Rage Webcrusher.
    In both cases everything is fine in Safari but does not work in Firefox.
    I have not attempted anything in Internet Explorer.
    Any ideas what is happening?
    Here is the test site:
    http://leancabinetmaking.com/testoptimization/Blank.html

    I downloaded updates 2.0.3 & 2.0.4 from the Apple menu.
    When I booted up iWeb again I got the following error message:
    Cant open file "/Applications/iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/Widgets/Detail.iwdgt."
    When that happened I trashed the application and reloaded it fresh.
    The same error message showed up again so I repeated the processes but this time I opened iWeb after just installing the 2.0.3 update. Same error message again.
    Any suggestions?
    For what it might be worth: Last week I modified some text in the slideshow screen to change the wording "Download" to "Enlarge Image". As I recall this referenced Widgets/detail.jwdgt.

  • Photos show in "Last Roll" but not in "Library" - why??

    I recently uploaded to the library a file from my desktop that contained pictures from two different cameras - 108 pictures in all. The upload was successful, but one set of the pictures doesn't show in my Library, even though the total number of pictures says 108.
    However, when I view Last Roll, all 108 pictures are there, so obviously they all must have uploaded to iPhoto. Why aren't they showing up in Library?
    Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

    TSP33:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Go into the Photos window with Roll Names selected to display and type in one of the file names in the search window at the bottom right. The event and the photo will be displayed in the window.
    Happy Holidays
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • A link visible in IE but not in FireFox

    A link "Intimation/Hall ticket for October 2011 Exam" at www.nios.ac.in is not visible in FireFox. Whereas same link is visible in Internet Explorer. Tried the option of clearing cache also.

    That is a problem with excessive nesting of tags.<br />
    The HTML5 parser in Firefox 7 can't handle that.
    If you look at the source code of that page then you can see why.
    *Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
    *Tools > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl+U)
    *Right-click on a web page to open the right-click context menu and select Page Source
    The missing links show if I disable the HTML5 parser (pref: html5.parser.enable -> false).

    What do I do to avoid using IE??

  • Photo Gallery - works in Safari but not Firefox .. ?

    Hi,
    I have a photo gallery at http://www.sg-karting.com/Racing/Photos/Photos.html
    When I go into the albums, pictures are displayed in Safari but not on Firefox.
    When creating this page on iWeb I selected 'Web Gallery' instead of 'Album'. Does this make any difference?
    Regards.

    I have just visited "http://www.sg-karting.com/Racing/Photos/Pages/KartingEdgeRound-1.html" using both Safari Version 3.0.4 (523.12) and Firefox version 2.0.0.9 on a G4 PB 10.4.11. And both browsers displayed the same information from what I can see. All the pictures revealed themselves.
    Have I picked the correct album for your example?
    I tried other area's of your web site and all appeared to be the same as the Safari. Maybe you need to clear your cache.

  • How to explain.  OK 1st all photos are visible in my iPhoto library; however, some are stored on hard drive and some are stored on external.  All can be viewed in itunes, but none on the external will sync to my iPad.  What's up with that.

    How to explain.  OK 1st all photos are visible in my iPhoto library; however, some are stored on hard drive and some are stored on external.  All can be marked or unmarked in itunes, but none of the photos stored on the external drive will sync to my iPad.  Anybody know what's up with that?

    What really cheeses me off here is that Apple isn't allowing users enough customization.  With each update of iTunes (and the OS and iOS) we're forced to give up something that worked well for the way we want to use the app and make do with fewer (and lamer) options.  If Apple keeps this up, they're going to start losing customers fast.  I mean if this isn't fixed soon, I'm pretty sure I'm going to give up on iTunes, and then I'll probably go ahead and get a Galaxy when I need to replace my iPhone.
    What I don't understand about how they won't let users delete the list of available podcasts now is why?  How is this making it a better program?  I can understand that not all users are capable enough to right-click on a feed and select "Show all available episodes", so I can see why they want the complete list to be the default (and, surprise, it already was).  But to not give users the option to delete that list?  It's inconsiderate because it makes navigating feeds with a large back catalogue really frustrating.  I'm flabbergasted that no one at Apple considered all the podcast feeds that keep hundreds of episodes available when they removed this feature.  It smacks of rank incompetence.
    What improvement were they trying to make here anyway?  There was nothing wrong to my mind about how podcasts were managed in previous versions.  Whatever improvement they were trying to make here, they should have realized that many users would at least want the option to keep things the way they were.
    And reverting to a previous version is no solution.  I can't sync my iPhone with the new iOS without this update, and (while I do have some issues--specifically how you can't play podcasts in the Music app anymore) I do like the new iOS.

    since moving to iCloud, my mobileme email works ONLY on my iPhone, but not on my PC with Outlook.  I get an error message indicating the authentication is not accepted.

    To anyone who has viewed this post and is having similar difficulties, the answer came on a different forum: I dragged & dropped the files from Mail to iCloud Drive. Opened them on my MB Air, they were saved in Templates and are now accessible across all my devices.
    Answer came from SGIll: Numbers templateshttps://discussions.apple.com/message/27505880#27505880Numbers templates

    You can transfer photos outside of iTunes. I do it all the time. THat said, i have a 50/50 success rate with them. I'd avoid sandisk and kingston, their bundled software triggers the 'too much power' warning.
    I've had mixed luck with lexar, some work, some don't.
    I did have good luck with an older 4 gig geek squad one.
    Look for drives without software on them, without bright LED lights and I haven't gotten any larger than 4 gig to work, but that may just be me.
    For a less troublesome way? h onestly, I use a SD card that I've formatted with the DCIM folder. I've never had one of them trigger the 'too much power' warning. Just make sure they're not SDXC. those don't work.
