Outlook Email Receiving only with Outgoing SMTP IP address instead of domain URL

I am new in domain system, i set up domain controller myself at my office, every thing was working fine, but after 3 or 4 days outlook was unable
to receive email on client machines. the only way i find was to enter ip address of my domain (i have purchased and hosted from third party) in outgoing SMTP Server address. emails are receiving well without ip but only error is at receiving.
i dont know where i am wrong. this is annoying too much.
plzzz rsolve my issue.
Thanks in advance

Hi Salman,
According to your description, Outlook on client machines couldn’t receive emails until entered IP address of the Outgoing SMTP server? What about sending emails, are there any issues?
In addition, have you tried to run NSlookup.exe in command prompt as Sean suggested?
More information for you:

    I need help syncing my computer outlook email (through Yahoo) with my iphone.  When I delete an email on my computer it is still in my inbox on my phone. Please help.

    Your computer is probably set up to access your Yahoo mail using POP3. POP3 does not synchronize with the server. For full synchronization, you will need to use IMAP instead. See the Yahoo mail help pages for instructions on how to configure your mail client.

  • Send email from OWB with authenticated SMTP server (AUTH_LOGIN)

    Hi all,
    I want to send email from Oracle Warehouse Builder 11.2.0.2 using a SMTP server with basic authentication (AUTH_LOGIN).
    I've created an ACL for OWBSYS user according to note ID 1229769.1 in support.oracle.com.
    But, I need to configure again the ACL to connect to the SMTP server using user and password.
    I read the article in metalink, *How to Send an Email Using SMTP over an SSL Connection [ID 1323140.1]*+
    but I don't know how can I configure again the ACL for use in OWB.
    How OWB is able to authenticate with the SMTP server?
    Thanks!
    Maximiliano.

  • Outgoing Email Account Used with Multiple SMTPs

    This seems to be a bug with the OS as I can replicate the issue on both my iPhone and iPad.
    iPhone 6 running: 8.1.3
    iPad Mini Retina running: 8.1.2
    I have 2 email accounts defined on my phone. 1 for work, and 1 for Gmail.  Gmail is currently selected as my default email account.
    If I am sending emails from the Mail app, everything works perfectly fine, I can select which email I want to send emails from and they work correctly.
    When sharing something in the Safari app, or other apps.. anything that uses the Share by Email feature, the email will be sent out by whatever the last account used to send an email in the the Mail app was, regardless of what is selected in the "From" field.
    So if I just sent an email from my work account in the Mail App, then I go and to share a page in safari by email, it will send it out via the work SMTP server even though it says my Gmail account would be used in the "From" field.
    Can anyone confirm this bug? Are there any solutions?
    I attempted deleting both my Gmail and Work accounts and readding them and I had the same issue.
    I was also able to replicate this issue when dealing with my Gmail and iCloud account.

    I was also able to replicate this issue when dealing with my Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud accounts. I have restarted my phone and change the "Default Account" but it did not solve the problem.

  • Help!! Cant send email how change my outgoing smtp port to 587 stuck on 25

    Im on OSX 10.1.4. I go to Mail, Preferences, Account, Select my email account, Select Edit, Select Account Options.
    All I see is a box saying Connect to server port: and it says 143.
    When I try to send mail a message says smpt port timed our port 25. I called my internet provider and they told me to change my outgoing port to 587 but I cant find where to change the 25 to 587.
    If I go back to the above and change the 143 to 587 my incoming mail stops working.
    Am I looking in the wrong place or did I setup my email incorrectly? I selected mac account, pop, smtp.mac.com outgoing server, mail.mac.com for incoming server...did I do something wrong. I have a mac mail email address.
    Please someone help me!!
    Thanks.

    So there's no way to send with other ports? You HAVE to use port 25?
    Sure there is - talk to every mail administrator of every domain you might ever want to send mail to and have them reconfigure their mail servers to listen on some arbitrary port number that you define. Wait for them to do it (it shouldn't take them too long), and then you're done.
    Oh, no, hang on a minute... none of them are going to do that, are they?
    But that's what you're asking for - you're asking for them to accept mail on some non-standard port number just so you can get around Verizon's mail blocking.
    There is a reason why standard port numbers (defined by IANA) exists - just so that everyone's talking on the same page (or at least in the same chapter of the same book). You can't arbitrarily pick a port number and expect it to work unless both sides of the connection know to use it. You know port 25 works for SMTP because that's the standard. You can use any port number you like for your own mail because you can configure your own mail client to use a non-standard port, but you can't convince the rest of the world to follow suit (at least not without good reason).
    In this case your options are to relay your mail through Verizon's servers, upgrade to their business plan (which supports hosting your own mail server and doesn't break the user agreement), or setup another mail server somewhere else that you can relay your mail through.

  • Outlook Email not synching with handheld

    I just set up my new BB handheld and even set up hotmai on outlook on my PC at home, so I could synch contacts, calendar and emails more diligently than an internet web browser based email... but my emails are not synching!! arrgggh its painful to keep cleaning out inbox 2 times and also have FB messages going to my hotmail bec FB on my handheld is not showing me new messages.. pls help!!!

    Hello,
    If you configured your BB to receive email OTA, then there is no direct relationship between your BB and your Outlook client for email. Rather, each will reconcile independently against the email server according to whatever capabilities they have to do so. The BB reconciliation capabilities will be governed by this KB. Outlook reconciliation capabilities will be governed by Outlook.
    For your FB issue, check inside of the FB options and make sure that you have checked the box that connects it to your BB Messages app.
    Good luck and let us know!

  • TB v. 24.0: Changed ISP's; ~ new email in Server Settings & Outgoing Server & all Address Books and Contacts; TB still showing old email ID for Fwd & Rply

    TB v. 24.0, Win 7 Pro. Changed ISP's. I use Outlook 2007; wife uses TB, same box. Changed TB username & e-mail address in Server Settings & Outgoing Server & set as Default. Changed e-mail address in all address books and Contact lists. Now TB still showing old e-mail address in <From> when Reply or Forward. This is confusing recipients, who have been sending their replies off to a now-nonexistent account. Checked Windows Contacts - empty. Checked my Outlook 2007 - all Contacts changed appropriately. How do I kill that old e-mail address in TB when it isn't even listed any more - except when we try to Reply or Forward?

    When you got the new email address and changed ISP's, you needed to create a new mail account for that new existing email address.
    When a mail account is created there are many preferences setup to be able to manage and run that mail account. Trying to track down and modify all of those within the either the config editor or prefs.js is not only time consuming, but you could easily cause further problems if any error is made.
    So I suggest you fix the original account by reentering all the old data. Then create a new mail account for the new exisitng mail address.
    * File > New> Existing mail account.
    or
    * 3bar menu icon > New Message > Existing Mail account.
    when you have both mail accounts in your left folder pane, you can choose to move any wanted emails from the older mail account into suitable folders in Local Folders. This will save a copy of emails.
    Then you can delete the old account, leaving saved emails in Local Folders and only one new mail account.
    To remove mail account:
    * Tools > Account sEttings
    * select old mail account
    * click on 'Account Actions'
    * select 'Remove Account'
    * click on OK

  • Receiving Only 1 E-Mail Accounts Mail Instead Of 2

    In setting up my father's Curve, I setup two e-mail accounts after creating a user name for his BlackBerry account. All I did was enter the login and pw for the two accounts (1 work, 1 Gmail) and they both came back successfully setup. He only receives e-mail for one account though (right now Gmail). When I go into the work account settings it says that the message service is the Gmail account, instead of the work account, and when I switch it to work it makes the Gmail message service option say work too therefore not letting me receive Gmail anymore. It is like they mirror eachother and I can't have the two setup differently. Maybe I missed some options when setting up the accounts. Can anyone help? I know this explanation was confusing (I got confused writting it), let me know if you need further clarification. Thanks!

    I would try to delete the troubled email account from the bis server.  Go to the site I posted before.  Reboot the device and re-establish the account.  See if this works.

  • After updating to Firefox 3.6.9, when I click on a link in Outlook email, I get a message which says "General failure. The URL was: .... An error occurred in sending the command to the applicatio." and the link will not open. How can I fix this?

    I updated Firefox yesterday to 3.6.9. When I receive a URL link in an email within Outlook, I cannot open the link in Firefox. As I said in the question, when I click on the link, a Microsoft Office Outlook error message appears which states that a General failure has occurred in sending the command to the application (which is Firefox). I am using Office 2007 This did not occur prior to the upgrade of Firefox.

    See this lnk for a fix, it worked for me!

  • Use TCP, UDP, or other to communicate with UUT using MAC address instead of IP address

    I want to verify that the Ethernet port on my UUT works.
    My plan was to ping the UUT and verify that I got a response.  However, the UUTs will come to test with an IP that I cannot use on the network.  [Please don't ask me to explain why -- the IT group has their rules, and rules are rules after all . . . ]
    I can query the UUT (via the serial port) for it's MAC address.  But I cannot find any LabView VIs, or DOS executables which use the MAC address as a parameter to invoke a response from the device.
    Does anybody have an idea of how I can verify the UUT Ethernet port without having to divorce myself from the company network and set up my own private network?  [Oh and by the way, before somebody suggests it, the IT group won't let me put a 2nd network card in my PC -- rules are rules after all . . . .]

    I wouldn't worry too much about the address shown in the Remote Management tab.  The ARDAgent process, which is what is listening on his computer for connections from Remote Desktop, binds to all active network interfaces and ultimately that's all that matters. Of out curiosity though, to what IP address does the "unknown-b8-8d-##-##-##-##.home" dns name resolve?  Is it the WAN address?  I can't imagine it resolves to a private address like a 192.168.
    In any event, let's focus back on the network structure. Does the BT router have both a hard wired LAN ethernet port as well as a WiFi radio for LAN connections?  My guess is yes. I am also assuming that he does *not* have another router attached to the BT LAN ethernet port like an Airport basestation that is serving the WiFi connections.  Typically, the LAN ethernet port is given, via DHCP, a real Internet accessible address but the addresses served via DHCP for wireless clients are private network addresses only.  It's seems unlikely to me that the router is automatically forwarding incoming connections to a private network address on the WiFi network.  But if he plugs his Mac in to the ethenert LAN port on the BT router then you should be able to connect directly to the address given to it via DHCP because it *should* be a real Internet accessible address.

  • Outlook email as the device default calendar

    I got my Blackberry at the end of February,and established my Outlook email as the default email for the device calendar and have had no problem sync'ing the calendar and contacts between Outlook and the device using the Blackberry Desktop Software.
    A Blackberry core update was pushed and installed on the device recently, and since then, the device could not keep the Outlook email as the email for the device default calendar.  Each time when it occured, one of the two things happened: either any appointment I entered on the device would be labeled as Outlook email calendar item, separate from all items of the device default calendar (visible in different color indicator), in which case the added appointmend could not be sync'ed to my desktop Outlook calendar; or all my default calendar items would be reassigned to Outlook email calendar (the color indicator changed to green instead of the default blue), in which case  the device would ask to delete ALL appointment items on my desktop Outlook calendar when sync'ing because it couldn't reconcile the default calendar with the Outlook email calendar.
    Each time when the problem occurs, I would delete the Outlook email (so that the device had no default email) and then reinstalled it so that the Outlook email was the email for the device default calendar.  The sync works after that but only for a short while each time. Then the problem reappeared.
    When I sync'ed the device with desktop Outlook,  I also noticed that on the device under Setup > Email Accounts, the Synchronization Options for the Outlook email has only the box for "Deleted Items" and not boxes for calendar and contacts, though I don't know whether that makes any difference.
    I suspect there must be something wrong in the recent Blackberry core update that is messing up the default calendar when it's linked with an Outlook address. Could you help fixing this problem please.

    Hi,
    Just to clarify I did not question the VPN connection as being the problem with your email. My point was accessing a networked MS Outlook email account via VPN would I think change the way the sync and reconciliation worked.
    The term device default in these calendar discussions can be confusing as "default" is used as a CICAL calendar description and a device calendar description.
    The service books could have certainly caused the problems. I would suggest reading this article describing how the device calendar works with items not associated with a CICAL from an email associated calendar. The merge function is not the point, the calendar process is.
    Please let me know your thoughts.
