    Thank you for your question.
By your state,I think you want to install EMC on windows 7.
    If that,you can refer to the following steps;
1.Check that you have installed the necessary operating system components
    a.     Open Control Panel, and then select Programs.
    b.     Click Turn Windows features on or off.
    c.     Select Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1.
    d.     Navigate to Internet Information Services > Web Management Tools >IIS 6 Management Compatibility.
    e.     Select the check box for IIS 6 Management Console, and then click OK.
2.Ensure that you un-tick the box during the setup wizard to automatically install roles and features required for Exchange
3.If there will be issue, you can try to install Exchange management tool in other Windows 7 X64 machine to see whether it is OK

  • Exchange server setup on Mail stopped working recently

    Hello,
I have an Exchange mail account, that's setup using a POP account type. This was working up till just two days ago. Now, every time I try to access my Exchange email account on Mail I get this error:
"The attempt to read data from the server "xxxx.xxxx.com" failed."
I've tried deleting the account and recreating it...I get the same error. A few notes:
    1. When I recreate the account, the setup process seems to be able to connect to the server (trying incorrect login credentials results in an error, correct credentials do not return an error). As soon as the account is created, I get the above error.
    2. I have this Exchange account setup in Entourage and on my iPhone and it works in both of these places.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...

  • Sync iPhone with work Outlook (Exchange Server) and home Outlook

    Hi all,
I love my new iPhone 3G!
There is just one main thing remaining that I need it to do in order to fully replace my previous Windows Mobile phone functionality:
I need it to keep my work Outlook's contacts and calendars synchronized with my home Outlook (Outlook 2003 on Windows XP PC). Note: I do not want separate sets of work and personal contacts and/or calendar items, since I want all contacts and calendar items in both systems (differentiate by the Outlook category field).
With my previous Windows Mobile phone, it would sync with my work Exchange account (via wireless ActiveSync), and then resolve this with my local/home PC's Outlook when connected to my PC (using the local version of ActiveSync). When done, any contact or calendar change made at work, on my phone, or on my home PC would eventually be synchronized with all 3 systems (i.e., phone, work Outlook, and home Outlook).
The new iPhone 3G first beautifully sync'd to my local/home Outlook with iTunes 7.7. Then, when I configured my work Exchange ActiveSync with contacts and calendar sync on, it unfortunately cleared those sync'd items. Now the iPhone is beautifully sync'd with my work Outlook via Exchange ActiveSync, but iTunes will no longer allow my local sync. Thus, any changes at work or on the iPhone are not reflected at home
I researched this a little, and I see that the Apple MobileMe service may be able to help me. Can anyone tell me if it will allow me to sync the exact same items with my local Outlook, the iPhone, and directly/indirectly with my work Outlook (via Exchange ActiveSync)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I'm excited to finally sync my work email with my iPhone. Our IT didn't support it and we work off of an Exchange server. I, too, was nervous about which contacts to sync. While I want my work email, I don't need my contacts and would rather have mine from my mac at home. Unfortunately, you can only do one at a time. The following paragraph is from a c net review. Find the entire article here (the part about the Exchange Server is about 1/2 way down):
    http://reviews.cnet.com/apple-iphone-3g/
//Once you're ready to go, the iPhone will sync your Outlook e-mail, contacts, and calendar. Be advised that while the iPhone can support multiple POP3 accounts at once (two Yahoo accounts, for instance), it syncs with only one Exchange server and, worse, with only with one calendar or contacts list at a time. If you have a separate personal calendar, your work calendar will replace it once you start the sync. (You'll be notified before it happens.)//
    Hope this helps!

  • Receive Original Email Whenever I Reply to an Email Using Microsoft Outlook Exchange Server

This is a problem I've seen other people post about, but I haven't found a solution.  Whenever I reply to an email using Microsoft Outlook 2007 with Exchange Server on my computer, I receive a copy of the original email (not the reply, but the original email that I replied to) on my Curve.  My BB email is set up with BIS and my carrier is Verizon, but I've seen people post about this with other carriers.
Apparently there is some kind of incompatibility between Microsoft Exchange Server and BIS that is causing this problem.
This is a huge pain, because everytime I reply to an email, I have to delete a copy of the original email on my blackberry.
Does anyone know the solution to this?

Under "tools", "Options" , "applications" on my computer there isn't a "mailto". so these instructions don't work. Any other ideas?

  • Impossible to open mail folders outlook-exchange server

After setting an exchange server 2010 in a domain i created the users' mailboxes. Now i want to configure the users' computers in the domain so that they can send & receive e-mails with Microsoft outlook. But i got 2 problems. The first one is that while
i was configuring the user's computer with outlook i was asked to configure the computer's default gateway ip address. Why is it compulsory to configure it?what is its use?
The second question is that after connecting the user's to his/her mailbox through outlook i can't access outlook's GUI to send & read the received mail bcz i got this following message:"it's
impossible to open default mail folders.Microsoft exchange is actually busy.If this message always appears within 30 minutes contact your system administrator". What should i do to fix this issue? Hope you will help. thx in advance

  • Solution for Syncing on Outlook Exchange Server

At my workplace we have Outlook 2003 running on an Exchange Server. Here are the symptoms I was getting:
    1. Calendar events would sync from iPhone to Outlook, but not from Outlook to iPhone.
    2. Sync process would be interrupted by an ApplieMobileSync.exe "exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred at ... ". Watching in Task Manager, I noted that this happened whenever the memory usage for that program hit about 150MB.
I tried many of the currently-posted solutions, such as removing recurring appointments, creating a new calendar, downrevving iTunes, etc. to no avail.
HERE IS WHAT WORKED: SET THE "APPLE MOBILE DEVICE" SERVICE TO RUN WITH YOUR NETWORK CREDENTIALS INSTEAD OF USING LOCAL SYSTEM ACCOUNT. This is becuase on an Exchange Server, the calendar really lives on the network server, not on your local machine.
    HOW-TO:
    1. Go into Computer Management (in XP, right-click on My Computer, select Manage, open Services and Applications, and choose Services.
    2. In the list of services, right-click on the Apple Mobile Device service and select Properties. In the Log On tab, select the radio button for "This Account" and enter your network credentials, with your full account name (ex. domain\username) and password.
    3. Restart the service and iTunes. Then try syncing.
I realize this is pretty technical for some users and in some companies you might not even have the right to edit services on your PC. Plus, any time your network requires you to change passwords, you'll have to go into this service an update your credentials. Given these caveats, I consider this more of a WORK-AROUND than a complete SOLUTION, and believe Apple should come up with a way to automatically set up this service in Exchange environments.

  • IPad stopped synching with Outlook exchange server

My iPad (ios 6.0.1) no longer synchs with my enterprise exchange server (Outlook)--none of email, calendar, contacts, etc. sync.  I removed the account from the iPad and reloaded all the information--the iPad checked off as if all was well.  But, it does not sync (manually or automatically).  I have an iPhone with the same ios and it works fine.  Any ideas?

OK, I don't know if you have the same problem, however, I figured out how to "fix" the issue I had with the iPad.  Somehow the settings were changed such that the switch to sync with my outlook calendar and the switch to sync with my outlook calendar were turned to "off".  I don't know how it happened, perhaps during some software update.  I now sync with no problem.  Good Luck!!!

  • Mail compatibility with Outlook Exchange server?

As a result of a merger and longtime staff complaints, my largely PC-based organization is converting to an Outlook-based e-mail system.
I telecommute from another city and use a Mac exclusively. Presently, I retrieve my e-mail from the existing system (First Class) by having Mail "grab" it off the server. I would like to continue to do this after the changeover to Outlook.
Is that possible with my version of Mail (2.1.3), and if so, how? What about using Mobile Me to reroute Outlook messages to Mail? If neither of these alternatives will work, will I have to use Entourage?

I love mac mail, however, have "test run" entourage, and found it pleasant, a lot better than outlook, actually (not as clonky and visually more appealing). The setup is very different to macmail, of course (not as neat). But this is just an opinion, in case you go with entourage (it will import mac mail settings fine).
I do not think, however, that mac mail and outlook server are compatible (see http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=173560).
Is thunderbird compatible (free and quite nice, i think)?

  • Using Microsoft Outlook - Exchange Server

Do you know if Micrsoft Outlook works on the Ideapad S10e.  I have tried to setup an account (including my Yahoo account) and it does not authenticate my user account.  It appears that there is some protocol or driver that is missing - could it because of this S10e has XP Home Edition?

    Hi,
To narrow down the cause, I’d like to recommend the following troubleshooting:
    1. Try to login the test account through OWA.
    2. Check the Autodiscover settings: get-clientaccessserver |fl autodiscoverserviceinternaluri
    3. Check the result of directly accessing the following URL:
    https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

  • Calendar functions with an Outlook Exchange Server

    Hello,
Does anyone know how or whether one can a) send meeting requests (calendar event invitations) from the iPod Touch (not just receive and respond), and, b) can one mark a calendar event "private" so that it will show up as a "private event" when synced to Outlook? Seems like these two important features are missing from what otherwise is a great iPod/PDA. Thanks much!

    Fixed by software updates.

  • Can I connect OS X to an external Exchange server?

Firstly, I should mention that I just received my very first MacBook Pro today.   This is the first time I'm using OS X (or a Mac period), so I'm really fumbling my way around today.
That said, I also own an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2.  On both of those devices, I can connect to an exchange server setup by my company for mobile devices.  That server looks something like amail.comanyname.com.  I love being able to get my Outlook mail on those devices.
I've tried setting up that same mail server in the OS X mail client, but so far it's been unable to connect.
I'm wondering if there are any suggestions that might help me get connected?   Or is this just not possible to do on a desktop?  I have the same problem on my Windows desktop, in that I can't connect Outlook to the Exhange server there either.   I was hoping that since the iPad could do it, so could my Mac.
    Suggestions?
    Charlie
