Outlook express 2011 contacts to iPad

How do I go about syncing my iPad to my outlook express contacts in information from my tower? I tried drop and drag a document with the info with no luck!

Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Mail, and is pretty much very similar in use. Indeed there is even an enhanced version called Windows Live Mail. See :-

How do you sync hotmail folders to outlook express 2011?

I have synced my hotmail to outlook, but my hotmail folders are not showing just the inbox, how can I get my folders as well please? thanks

Yes, the same thing happens to me. It's just the way it is.
I've been getting month+ old emails that I deleted long ago, pushed to my Mail App that is set up to Hotmail with a subscription to izymail. I don't know what's happening, i've sent a few emails to izymail but they've just told me to do general stuff like a restore etc.

You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo! Address Book, and Google Contacts on a Mac, or with Yahoo! Address Book, Google Contacts, *Windows Address Book (Microsoft Outlook Express)*, Windows Vista Contacts, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync contacts with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync contacts with only one application at a time.)
The address book used by Outlook Express is called Windows Address Book. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.
If you have manually entered any contacts in your iPad's address book and Windows Address Book includes contact info, you will be provided a merge prompt with the first sync, which you want to select.

If so and your Wife wants to sync her iPhone's address book with the address book used by Outlook Express, this is selected under the Info tab for her iPhone sync preferences. If the address book used by Outlook Express includes contacts and her iPhone does not include any contact info, the contacts in the address book used by Outlook Express will be transferred to her iPhone. If her iPhone's address book includes contacts, the first time she syncs her iPhone with the address book used by Outlook Express, she will be provided a merge prompt, which she wants to select.
If she doesn't currently use the address book that is used by OE, she needs to enter one unique contact in the address book on the computer before syncing contacts. Make the contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt.

Hi, I have an iphone 3GS from HK. After upgrading to 4.3.3 from 4.3.2 as prompted by itunes on May 10, 2011 my entire contact in my iphone was wiped out! When I checked my backup file in Outlook Express it was also wiped out!!! What can I do now?

I am very disappointed at Apple's service, especially considering that I have been a loyal customer of iphone / ipod touch in the past few years. I need an official reply from Apple on this! How can Apple be so irresponsible to their own firmware failure??

Sent contacts from outlook express to my ipad but I can't find them. Where are they?

My laptop says that it has synced my Outlook Express contacts to my Ipad via a USB link. I can't find them. Where would they be?

iCloud only "syncs" data in the iCloud account, not data in other external accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc. If your email, contacts and calendars are hosted by another external account, such as Gmail/Google, you may want to not sync this data using iCloud as you would have import it all to the iCloud account in order to do so. Instead, add your external account to your iOS devices and in Settings>Mail,Conacts,Calendars>Add Account and turn on contacts and calendar syncing with your external account.

Outlook express ipad synching contacts/address book

Hi, I have just got ipad3, eventually sync'd outlook express across from windows xp, with the help of BT (quick £25.00 quid) so now up and running with emails, sort off. Now trying to sync over contacts/address book. I have tried various options offerred, including apple. So far no luck, It should be easy or am I just hopelesley optomistic? Any easy answers out there? help please.

Your iPad doesn't receive email from Outlook Express (or any other email client). It receives email from your email provider. To set up your email account on your iPad go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap Add Account and add your email provider's account settings with your username and password. iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail email settings are automatically entered by tapping the appropriate button. Others must be manually entered by tapping Other. (Exchange accounts will also require you to enter your email provider's settings.)

Important contacts list from Outlook Express

I am struggling to figure out how to import our contacts list from Outlook Express into iTunes so that we can then move them onto our new ipad mini. Whatever step(s) am I missing? Thank you & standing by.......

I can't find any documentation but I want to remember that iTunes doesn't work with outlook express.
if it is an option, you get your contacts on by connecting your device, opening iTUnes, navigating to the 'info' tab (the name did change but basically it's the tab to set up the e-mail, notes, etc that you sync)
If express is an option you'll see it listed as a choice.
If it's not then you can always mail your contacts out of outlook, open that mail on your iPad and save them from there. I had to do it once and I could only figure out how to do it one at a time but there may be a better way.

How to transfer all emails and contacts from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010

I have just done this and believe me it was a bit of a marathon! Microsoft tell you that you need to have both Outlook Express and Outlook 2010 running on the same machine. If, like me, your Outlook 2010 in running on a Windows 7 platform there is a problem.
Until now I have been using Outlook Express on a Desktop running XP Pro. It has Outlook 2007 but it won’t run owing to a corrupted file. I set up my email account on an old XP laptop which has Outlook 2007. This is how I transferred emails between 2 machines
running Outlook Express:
After setting up the account (on the old laptop) I created sub-folders exactly the same as my existing account. Having got some emails in the inbox I made sure that each new sub-folder contained at least one random email simply by drag and drop. It seems to
validate the folders. I then copied the folders from the maintenance directory on the desktop (you find this under Tools – Options – Maintenance) and pasted them into the equivalent folder on the this old laptop so they overwrote those present. I transferred
the contacts simply using Export – Address Book using a csv file. I then set up the email account in Outlook 2007 on the old laptop and ran an import from Outlook Express which was fine as per Microsoft’s instructions. On that machine I then exported to a
backup pst file which I transferred to my new Windows 7 machine and imported successfully into Outlook 2010. Perhaps there are easier ways but at least it worked!

N95 Contacts in Outlook Express

Hi,
I've recently purchased an N95 and I remember on an older Nokia phone that I had and when I saved my contacts from my phone to my PC that all the names and numbers were saved in a viewable form in Outlook.
Now I only have Outlook Express available and even though i synch my contacts through OVI Suite,when I go into the Outlook Express address book , there aren't any contacts viewable to me!!!
I understand that syncing may only involve the contacts that i just have in Outlook Express I think?
What I'm trying to do anyways is to get all my contacts of the N95 onto some windows program that lets me view them!!!
Will Outlook Express do this somehow? or any other program unknown to me?

Hi,
If I open up Nokia PC Suite and choose 'Syncronisation', the option exists there to sync with the Windows Address Book (which is what OE actually uses).
It appears explicitly as Outlook Express (Windows Address Book)
I don't use it, as I use ActiveSync to sync with my exchange server, so use at your own risk, but if you backup your phone data and your Windows Address Book (WAB) before trying it, you could always restore if it fails.
