Outlook Integration Installation files

Hi,
Where can I find the Outlook Integration add-on files for B1 2004A?
I have the following installation files:
Setup_OI.exe
Outlook_Integration.ard
But I also  need the support tools (for the snapshots) and I can't find them! Cause during the installation, of the files refered above, the system is unable to find the templates folder!
Also on the today's webinar.. if I'm correct, the refered setup installation file was the Setup_OE.exe!!!
Tips??
Tkx

Vitor,
You can locate the Outlook integration from SAP as well as the Support Tools on the service.sap.com/smb portal.  You would go to SAP Business One > Installations & Updates > SAP Business One Products > Installations > SAP Business One 2004 > SAP Business One 2004A (B or C) > Installation > then choose the database that you are using and then download the title "CD SMB: SAP Business One Add-ON 2004 SP2".
If you click on the "Info" link you will see the detail of what is in this file such as the Outlook integration, Support Tools etc.
Hope this helps,
Eddy

    Hi Experts,
I have installed Addon-outlook intgration successfuly and when i start B1 Create default templates popup comes and gives error like
BO2034: Layout files not found in folder 'C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Server\B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook  Integration\Templates' i also check path but still gives above error.
    regards
    sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
There is a separate part of Outlook Integration that needs to be installed on the server. This includes the templates which get copied to a folder within the B1_SHR. On your SBO DVD or on the latest patch download you are using you should find a folder called Outlook Integration Server in the Packages folder. Run the Setup.exe on the server where the SBO server components are installed and this should correct your problem.

  • Outlook Integration installation with only remote access

    Hello B1 gurus !!
Is it possible to install Outlook Integration when the possibility given by a company is only to access the SAP B1 server thru Remote desktop functionnality ?
If yes, how does it work and what are the steps (if different as given SAP Install procedure) to achieve such an installation ?
Exemple: SAP B1 Server is installed in France, Users accessing it are in an other country and can access it only remote.
    thanks for your quick answer
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
It is absolutely possible.  That is because when you connected through Remote Desktop, you can do anything just like local in the same network.  The security profile has to be set up correctly though.
    Thanks,

  • Outlook integration installation

    Dear Experts!
I want to install outlook integration in the client system by using 'CITRIX' Server Please any one help me
       It is very urgent!
    Regards
    Selva.D

    Hi Selva.D,
Please run Standalone OI addon from the installation package.
Outlook Integration is a different from other SAP Addons, because it consists of two parts: one part
running Within SAP Business one and one run within outlook.
It will install an Add-on only on the machine that runs the SAP Business One application, therefore in your case using Citrix server, Outlook Add-In has to be installed on each client separately using the
    "Standalone Installer" of Outlook Integration.
Please refer to the installation guide related to SAP Business one in citrix environment by using the following link.

  • Layout files of outlook integration

I have installed addon outlook integration on my pc.I am able to send the mail through outlook. But where are the layout files located ? Every tiime I start the addon it is asking me to Create Default tempate. When I give the folder it gives me error as,
Layout files not found in folder 'D:\Sap'
Where are these files located ? On the server or on the client.
By default it gives me path of the server as,
    mmcpl-sap\B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook Integration\Templates
    mmcpl-sap\B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook Integration\Templates\MMCPL_TRAINING
    These two paths are for
Source Folder of Default Snapshot Template Files(Server)
Strorage Path for Snapshot Template Layout files
mmcpl-sap is the name of server and MMCPL_TRAINING is the name of company.

    Try this:
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1wdCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/download_basket/download.htm?objid=012002523100001869512006D&userid=S0004447420&action=DL_DIRECT
Otherwise, just go to Download Center, then choose Updates, and download SAP Business One AddOns 2005 SP01.
Let me know if it works!

  • Outlook Integration: unable to create snapshot templates.

    Dear all,
I followed all the steps mentioned in note 861055
"You can easily repeat the step of template creation after running the server installation:
       1. Start the Addon Outlook Integration from Business one.
       2. Choose/Administration/Outlook Integration/Define Snapshot Templates
       3. Select "Create Default Templates" from the "Goto" menu. This will repeat the procedure that could not be started because of the missing layout files."
But when I choose "Create Default Templates" nothing happens...
    I'm using SBO 2005A SP01 PL31 and Outlook Integration PL60.
Also, what's the difference between the OIStandAlone and the OutlookIntegration files?
    Best Regards,

    Hello,
This issue is really interesting, I really desperate to install it. I read the note and find out that server installation must be run before initialisation of addon in the client workstation. Initialisation means addon registration. I just think the template will be created in the client workstation if the server installation has run. Both must be run. But here the explanation I've got from pdf file :
Template Layout Files for Microsoft Outlook Integration Snapshots
The SAP Business One Add-On Server Installer copies the template layout files for snapshots in the following subfolder in <B1DIR>: B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook Integration\Templates\Default. However, if the SAP Business One 2005 SP01 application is not a new installation but an upgrade, the name of the subfolder is the same as for SAP Business One 2004.
In the Default folder, there are language-specific folders for all templates. After you complete the registration of the Microsoft Outlook add-on on your server and begin the initialization in a company database from a client, the add-on creates default templates for the current language of the company to which you are logged on. These default layout files are also stored in <B1DIR> in the following subfolder: B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook Integration\Templates\<name of company database>\Default. When you later use the add-on to create additional default templates (by using the Create Default Templates function of the add-on), your default templates are also stored in: B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook Integration\Templates\<name of company database>\Default.
However, if the application is unable to locate this folder or the folder cannot be created, a selection window will allow you to select a different location. This path will be stored in the company settings of the Microsoft Outlook Integration add-on and can be changed by you. The default layout files for the company are copied to the Default subfolder of the folder you select.
The OIStandalone is a standalone installer for the Microsoft Outlook Integration add-on. This tool allows you to install the add-on without having to install the SAP Business One client on your PC. The alternative installer is appropriate for scenarios in which the SAP Business One client is not installed on the same PC as Microsoft Outlook. An example of such a scenario is the use of the Terminal Server for SAP Business One.
If you have tried, let me know the result.

  • Outlook Integration Addon

I have Installed SAP Business One 2005B PL38.
I have installed Outlook Integration Addon Version 6.80.01.60.
    The requirment is like this.
I open Outlook and Login to SAP Business One.
I could create quotation and Synchronise this with SAP B1.
Now, my client requirement is to work with Outlook Integration Addon
    Offline.
ie., Without logging into SAP B1 from Outlook, he wants to create
Quotation. So later, he may login and synchronise the quotation with
    SAP B1.
The question is that if it is possible to create quotations from
Outlook without logging on to SAP Business One.
I believe the Outlook Standalone installation can do that. Is this
    correct.

    Hi,
Unfortunatley this is not possible - the only difference between Outlook Integration and Outlook Integration standalone is that you can install the standalone version on a PC without having the Business One Client installed (i.e it's not an Addon)
Neither version will work offline unfortunatley, for this you'll need something like Amodat but that is a fairly costly solution - if you are looking for something cheap (free) and (relativley) easy to implement I would suggest doing something like this
-Make up a template in Excel for entering Quotes
-Create a mailbox in the organisation for receiving these excel files via email
-Create an automated process (via scripting, etc) to dump these Excel files to CSV format or into a Database
-Automate the Data Transfer workbench to import this data into SAP.
It's messy, and you get little or no error feedback, but it is possible.

  • SAP SBO button doesn't appear in MS Outlook (AddOn Outlook Integration)

    Hi all,
I have installed AddOn Outlook Integration, and it went smoothly. But on some of my co-workers' computers the SAP Business One button doesn't appear in MS Outlook (usually it appears on the top menu). I thought it was just a matter of display or view. But I can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone help me why and find the solution??
    Versions:
    SAP BO 2005 A (6.80.320) SP01 PL39
    AddOn Outlook Integration 6.80.01.85
    Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003
    Thanks

    Andre,
This is from Note 801964.  Please check there for a better format as i just copied it.
    Hope this helps,
    Karl
There can be several reasons why you don't see the SAP Business One menu of the Add-On "Microsoft Outlook Integration" in your Outlook window. In order to analyze the problem, carry out the following steps in order:
Close all running instances of Microsoft Outlook. If you installed Release 2004 of Microsoft Outlook Integration, close all instances of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as well. Make sure that there are no running instances left (using the task manager, or, if possible, reboot the system). Restart Outlook and check if the menu is shown. Keep in mind that the menu appears only in one running instance of MS Outlook.
If you use MS Outlook 2002 or higher, from the main menu select "Help"->"About Microsoft Outlook"->Disabled Items...". If the SAP Business One add-on is listed here, enable it and restart Outlook (again after closing all instances of MS Office products).
From the MS Outlook main menu choose "Tools"->"Options" and select Tab "Other". Press button "Advanced Options". On the form opening press "COM Add-Ins". If you find the addon listed there, enable it. Again close all Office instances and restart Outlook.
In case you still don't see the menu, choose "Help"->"Detect and Repair". After the repair procedure completed, repeat the previous step.
Should the problem persist, check your installation of the Add-On:
The file "BO_SyncExt.exe" must exist on your machine.
Open your registry running the command "regedit" and check if there's a registry entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\ Addins\BO_SyncExt.BO_AddIn". "LoadBehavior" must be set to value "3", if it's not, change the value accordingly and restart Outlook.
Should the file or registry entry be missing, reinstall the add-on.
Especially if you upgraded from a previous version of Microsoft Outlook Integration, it might be helpful to repair your MS Office installation from the system's control panel.

  • Outlook Integration Update

    Hi,
Normally, for installing Outlook Integration for the first time, should we install the package called "B12005ADDONS01_11-20001708.zip" (which contains a folder called 'Server installation') ?
Since there are some bugs in this version, what should I do to upgrade ?  Let's say I want to update the Outlook Integration add-on to patch 107 for example, what do we have to do ? There is no "Server Installation" in this "B12005OUTLOOK01P_107-20001696.ZIP" zip file ... Is it normal ?  What is the procedure to update OI add-on ?
Because when I checked the SQL Profiler to verify if the issue is still there (when I save an e-mail as an activity), it seems that nothing has changed between PL11 and PL107... Is it normal ?
    Thanks,
    Luce

The add on version has to match the SAP version - they will use the same DI, so you should only use the version that is downloaded with the patch you are on. If you need to upgrade, you should upgrade both your SAP and OI versions.
If your bug is a reported issue, you should find a note on the SAP Support website which will tell you which version it is fixed / planned to be fixed in

    Hi Experts,
I am having some problems with OI on one PC.  In other threads, the solution has been given - do a clean install.
I have removed the Outlook Integration add-on from Add-On Admin with SAP.  How can I reinstall it?  There is no ARD file on the server or client.

    Hi Greig,
    a) For 2007 version navigate to

The *.ard file you'll find easily in the extracted folder
Make sure you have installed Outlook Integration Server first, since this will create needed templates for OI
