Outlook integration on terminal server

Hi Experts,
I am facing Outlook Integration problems with one of our clients who uses outlook integration on their terminal server for about 10 users. They were on SAP 2007A SP00 PL47 and using outlook integration on terminal server for about 10 users without any problems.
I recently upgraded them to SAP 2007A SP01 PL7 and after that there are add-on initialization errors on the terminal server with outlook integration and payment add-on. The add-ons are installed and working OK on application server and other client machines.
On the terminal server;
1. Initialization of add-ons failed giving "Initialization Failed" error. I tried to reinstall add-on on Terminal server but same result.
2. When trying to logon to SAP within Outlook; system gives ""XYZ" is not a valid company name" error and login fails.
Any help on this will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Dave

  • Outlook 2007 on Terminal Server cannot manage Public Folder Favorites after Migration to Exchange 2013

    Hi,
we are running a Server 2008 R2 as a Terminal Server with Outlook 2007 SP3 (incl Nov 2012 Update 12.0.6665.5000) which is known as fully supported with Exchange 2013.
With Exchange Server 2007 we did not have any issues. But after having successfully migrated to Exchange 2013 we cannot manage our public folders favorites from these clients anymore.
As we are running Outlook 2007 on a WTS we can not use Exchange Cache Mode and so we can also not download Public-Folders-Favorites as an option. Whenever we try to delete existing favorites or when we try to delete public folders with content or subfolders
there will be an error msg that says that it cannot be deleted and that there may be no sufficient permissions. But this IS NOT the issue NOR the solution as I have full admin rights and am owner of the public folders.
On single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled we can manage the favorites and the public folders without problem.
We need to be able to manage the favorites of all users (circa 50-60 users) from the WTS with Outlookm 2007. I have no more ideas right now. Does anyone know how to get this settled?
    Thanks, Paula

    Hi,
Based on the description, users could access public folders successfully, but when they tried to manage public folder favorites or wanted to remove specified folders, they got error message of no sufficient permissions.
     Is it right?
You mentioned on single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled, user can operate normally. Is this a WTS with Outlook 2007 installed?
If possible, please switch this Outlook client from cached mode to online mode to check result.

  • Outlook 2013 on terminal server Search failes for all users

we have a small comany with a new Windows 2012 Fileserver and Terminal Server.
Office 2013 is installed and we use Office 365 - Exchange Online as our mailserver.
We use Outlook with the Cached Exchange Mode ON. We have shared our mailboxes with our collegues.
Indexstatus is complete for all the users.
So far the information i have.
I suspect wrong permissions on the Windows Search Folders are the cause of my problems but where can i find the Windows Search Folders which are indexed (and shoot be accesable for the users).

Winnie, thank you for your answer.
    1. Make sure indexing is complete. ==> Index is complete
    2. Make sure Indexing Options are configured correctly ==> Indexing Options are configured correctly for the administrator, Outlook
isn't configured in de Indexing options for the users (that might be the problem i guess)
    3. Make sure Outlook data is included in indexing==>
Outlook Data is included in indexing
    See screenshots below:
First screenshot are the Indexing Options as configured for the users, the seconde one are the indexing options for the administrator. I suspect there is my problem, but can't find the solution the solve this for the users.

  • Outlook 2010 on Terminal Server, default timezone resetting to Central America time on log of

    First, thanks for reading!
We have a user that travels frequently and uses Terminal Server often to connect. In his Outlook profile on the Terminal Server we have a default and secondary time zone set for him, as he travels through time zones often and wants to know what is when even
in other parts of the country. Just about every time he logs off and back on, his primary time zone is set to (UTC -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) which is wrong, and his previous, correct, default time zone is then set to his secondary time zone. The
previous secondary time zone is of course wiped out.
His laptop is fine and does not do this under any circumstances. Has anyone seen this behavior before? I have already blown out the local profile on the Terminal Server, I'm at a loss here.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Are you in Citrix environment? Take a look at this article:
    http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX303498
Do you have the 'use local client time' applied?
We're unfortunately in a stock Terminal Server environment, but I'll take a look! Thanks for the link.
We do have Terminal Server pulling time form clients when they connect, so ill take a hard look.

following  messages appears on the client:
"Outlook  tries to read data from the server"

Could you please give me any hints?
    Thanks and regards,

    Dear Janos,
First, I suggest to upgrade the addon and B1 to the latest patch. See the notes about the PL if in the PL, there are several notes explained if there is a bugs or not in the addon or PL version you are currently use.
Check also B1 system requirement and setup guide to know more. Submit this case also to SAP support if not solve.

I can see in the device manager on the server that the iPhone is detected and forwarded to the terminal session as a Apple mobile device, but when I start iTunes on the terminal server, the iPhone is not detected by the iTunes software. What else do I have to do to be able to sync my iPhone in the terminal server session with Microsoft Outlook installed there?

  • Outlook Integration Standalone on terminal server

    Forum,
Have a system on 8.8 and the users would like to start using the outlook integration utility in order to email out of SAP. These users access SAP via a terminal server and with only having the stand alone version installed, this doesn't give them the same capabilities as the full blown outlook integration. i.e. Snapshot - Does not show the templates and therefore doesn't handle attachments.
The only way I see this working in this scenario is for them to purchase Mircosoft Licences and have these published on their TS sessions.
Can anyone on here advise a way of getting the stand alone version to work without having to purchase these microsoft outlook licences?

  • On Windows 2012 Terminal Server Outlook fails to connect to Exchange 2013

I have a new install of Windows 2012.  I have two physical servers.  One is a W2012 std Domain Controller ("DC").  The Second is configured as W2012 HyperV  ("HV").  Under HV I have
two VMs.  One VM is W2012/Exchange 2013 ("ExchVM) and the other is W2012/Terminal Server ("VMTS").  All systems are behind a firewall appliance.  Exchange is working via Outlook and OWA internally and externally.  The self
created SSL must be installed manually on external machines since it comes up as an untrusted certificate.  Once installed remote outlook works and OWA works.  I have configured the terminal server and I am able
to login remotely as various users under my "TS group".  The problem is when ever I attempt to open Outlook for the 1st time, it fails to connect to the exchange server.   (Open Outlook 2013, click next
on the splash screen, "Yes" Add an Email Account splash screen, click next, Auto Account screen populates NAME and Email Address correctly, click next, Searching for mail server settings..., check on establishing network connection, check on searching
for alias@ domain, then fails the logging on to the mail server)  The error reads:  "Outlook cannot log on.  Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name.  The
connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."   I am connected in RDS from offsite, and from the RD session I can access shared folders on ExchVM and DC.  I have
tried have verified the server Exchange server name is correct via "Get=ClientAccessServer" command.  I have also tried to use the guid via "Get-Mailbox
ALIAS | fl name, exchangeguid.  Keep in mind all desktop users on the network are connecting to Outlook without issue.
I would appreciate any thoughts on solving this issue.

    Hi,
According to your workaround, it seems that the Outlook Anywhere configuration in Outlook client is not correct when using the Autodiscover service.
Once you connected to Exchange server by manually settings, please run Test E-mail AutoConfiguration tool in external Outlook client to check the autodiscover service:
open Outlook - press CTRL key - right click on the Outlook icon from right bottom corner taskbar - Test Email AutoConfiguration. Put your email address - uncheck use guessmart and secure guessmart authentication - click Test to check your Autodiscover service.
Please check the Log tab and confirm whether the Autodiscover service is connected successfully. Also confirm if the connection issue happens to all external users when they open Outlook for the 1st time. In Exchange server, please make sure
autodiscover.domain.com has been included in your Exchange certificate which is assigned with IIS service.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server and Outlook 2013 Profile

Really hoping someone can offer some advice on this one as I have wasted far to many cycles trying to figure this out.
Company I work for recent purchased another company and we are in the process of bringing them into our network.  They currently run a a 2008 R2 terminal server where all users connect to for there day to day work.  A number of applications
    are installed including Office 2013.
All users have Outlook 2013 configured to access their exchange server for email and this works fine.
The first step in bringing them into our fold is to add an email account for Our Exchange  server without removing their existing exchange configuration or Outlook Profile.  So the one profile will have both exchange accounts listed and they can
continue to get email from their server but as well email from our domain.
I created a MSP file and tested pushing this out using PDQ Deploy to a few workstations here in our office and it works fine.  I then started to work on deploying in their environment.  PDQ Deploy will not work as they are all terminal Services
Clients.  So I tried to push out via GPO.  I created the GPO Initially wanting to use a package and apply that GPO to an AD group.  However it will not let me deploy a MST as a package.  So I then tried moving it to a script that would
run at logon.  That too is not working.
I know I could enter install mode then run the MSIEXEC.EXE \config.MSP but that takes away the ability to control the role out.
Any other ideas on how to get this done.

  • No Default Mail Client Error with Outlook 2010, Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server, and TAM

We are running a software package on a Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server called TAM (The Agency Manager) along with Outlook 2010.  The application uses a MAPI connection to retrieve mail data from Outlook to be able to send and receive messages inside
the application.  On our individual PC's this works just fine, but on the Terminal Server users we get the message "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook
and set it as the default mail client."
I've tried the steps listed in KB 813745 which tells you to delete the registry keys and run a repair in Office, but that didn't resolve the issue.  I've searched on this issue, but haven't found anything useful.  Any suggestions would be much
    appreciated.

Try to set DEP and add outlook.exe. I had outlook 2007 same problem. With DEP enabled and outlook, word en excel also added to the list it worked again.
You can find it under this computer, properties, then change settings. Click advanced tab and then select the first "settings" option. The click the "Data Execution Prevention" (DEP) and select the last option and add the office programs
    there.
    Hope this helps.

  • Instant Search not working on local mailbox in Outlook 2007 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server

Sometime last week Instant Search stopped working on a Terminal Server we have deployed. I don't use Outlook on the server so I didn't notice it myself but users started complaining several days ago. When I checked instant search settings everything was
grayed out. I noticed that the feature for Windows Search was disabled so I enabled that feature rebooted the server and now instant search is looking for email in archive folders and sharepoint lists. Local Mailbox mail however is not being indexed by instant
search. When I check data files it says that there is no file for the local mailbox. I checked and Cached Exchange Mode is disabled so no OST is being created and apparently there is no PST for it either.
Do I need an OST/PST to search the local mailbox?
Also I have added the Office GPO Templates and enabled the GPO for allowing Cached Exchange Mode but that doesn't seem to be helping either. Please help.

Have you had any luck with this?
One of our clients has reported that 5 different users, when RDP'd into 3 different RDS Servers, cannot use the Instant Search.
I haven't been able to find anything about this in my online searches.
Like you, the mailboxes aren't even appearing under Instant Search > Search Options.  Also, it would appear that there are no locally-hosted .ost/.pst's for any of the users on this server; can the instant search function work on a .pst that's saved
    somewhere else on the network?

  • Online Archives for Outlook 2013 do not appear in Outlook 2013 running on Terminal Server

    Hello,
We are currently attempting to get our users away from using PST files and instead use the Personal Online Archive feature but have come across a problem
    Environment
Windows 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Server)
    Office 2013
    Citrix 6.5 XenApp
So on the Exchange side I went through the steps of setting up my PST use as a guinea pig for testing.  I was able to setup the Archive database, enable archiving on my mailbox, and import my PST into the Archive database.
I then opened Outlook 2013 on my stand-alone PC and there was my Online Archive. Great!
I then double checked and also saw it on the OWA site on the Exchange server.  Super!
I finally logged into our RDS (Terminal) server and opened Outlook 2013 there.  But the Online archive was not there.  Hmmm..
I did some researching and this article about Outlook 2010 suggested it was a permission issue:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/1e8d5d4b-e26b-4be6-b646-eb6e796c6295/exchange-2010-mail-archive-missing-in-outlook-2010-shows-in-owa?forum=outlook
So I ran through those steps in Powershell but no change.
I also don't think it's a licensing issue because the license I have on my stand-alone PC is the same volume license keys (MAK) as on my Terminal Server.
Soo... I'm a bit stuck and was hoping for some help.  I can't proceed with migrating other PST files to the online archive until I get this resolved.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    In theory,
    Outlook reads the
msExchDelegateLink attribute of the user in AD to display the additional mailbox (Online Archive folder).
Since the standalone client can display the archive mailbox properly, it seems this attribute is available in AD. I suspect the issue locates on the way that the terminal
clients access the server. I suggest we check whether the client has properly permission to connect to AD when accessing remotely.

  • Outlook Integration Configuration in a Multiple Server Environment

    Hello Experts,
I have the following environment :
Four Citrix Servers --> SAP B1 Application Server --> License Server --> B1isn + SQL Server --> DB Server.
First,  which server/s would I configure for outlook integration from the "Mail Settings" window? This is where the admin would enter the SMTP server, SMTP port, etc. Which servers would require that the Outlook Integration tool to be installed?  Second, I have read on most forums that configuring the "Mail Settings" window is the only step needed to begin sending e-mails from SAP B1; is this true? Third, If the admin did not originally install the Outlook Integration tool when installing SAP, how would I go about installing the tool now?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Taylor

Further to this, there is a transaction code that calls this function module: SRDEBUG (see OSS Note 1004248). It's a little quirky but it does work.
    1) Set your external breakpoint.
    2) run transaction SRDEBUG. This will display a pop-up asking if you want to stop debugging. This pop-up must remain active until you want to stop debugging, so just leave it hanging there while you debug.

  • Outlook 2010 Pro Plus not showing Retention/Archive Policies only on Terminal Server

I have Office 2010 Pro Plus (Terminal Server License) installed on Remote Desktop Services 2008 R2 and running Outlook 2010 against Exchange 2010 SP1 with Enterprise CALS for all users.  If I run Outlook locally on a PC (not TS Client)
I have apply folder retention policies and archival policies no problem but if I open Outlook on Terminal Server I cannot.  Everything is greyed out.  This is the exact same version of Outlook, just different keys but I can't apply any policies for
    the Terminal Server users.
So, to clarify, on a regular PC, I can click an Outlook folder, click on the "Policies" button on the ribbon and have retention policies as well as Online Archive settings as I should but when I use the same version on Terminal Server
the Policies button is greyed out completely and cannot set.  I am NOT using auto-archive settings and not using PST files, only Online Archive.
    Thank you
