Outlook Integration Suggestion

Not sure if there is a board for suggestion but it would be great to have the ability to download from Remote Web Programming the DVR recording scedule into Outlook Calendar. In addition it would be even nicer to have an Outlook plug-in to program the DVR (via Web) by creating an Outlook Appointment. Many programs have plug-ins that communicate to WebEx interfaces this way.

Hi Lisa,
Please go through note 1229026.
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1229026
We ran into several issues on 2007A OI add-on and this turned out to be the problem.
On safe side, please run it on backup company DB.
Hope it helps.

  • Outlook Integration Contact Sync

I'm having problems with the Outlook Integration for SBO not syncing all of our contacts.  I have tried deleting everyone and starting over from scratch but it gives me the error failed to link contacts.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  In the past I would have to run it serveral times but it would finally pick up everone.
I now get the error that internet explorer has stopped working.
    Versions
    SBO 2007 A (8.00.178) SP: 00 PL: 42
    OI 8.00.00.42
    Thanks,
    Rebecca

Sorry, I've been on another project.  I deleted the contacts from Outlook and started over.  I know you can only sink 400 contacts through OI at a single time, but we have instances where it won't sink one at a time and we can not find a reason for it.  SAP has stated the only limit is the 400 contacts per sync.  Is there a field that could be causing the issue?
    Thanks,

  • Outlook Integration Addon

I have Installed SAP Business One 2005B PL38.
I have installed Outlook Integration Addon Version 6.80.01.60.
    The requirment is like this.
I open Outlook and Login to SAP Business One.
I could create quotation and Synchronise this with SAP B1.
Now, my client requirement is to work with Outlook Integration Addon
    Offline.
ie., Without logging into SAP B1 from Outlook, he wants to create
Quotation. So later, he may login and synchronise the quotation with
    SAP B1.
The question is that if it is possible to create quotations from
Outlook without logging on to SAP Business One.
I believe the Outlook Standalone installation can do that. Is this
    correct.

    Hi,
Unfortunatley this is not possible - the only difference between Outlook Integration and Outlook Integration standalone is that you can install the standalone version on a PC without having the Business One Client installed (i.e it's not an Addon)
Neither version will work offline unfortunatley, for this you'll need something like Amodat but that is a fairly costly solution - if you are looking for something cheap (free) and (relativley) easy to implement I would suggest doing something like this
-Make up a template in Excel for entering Quotes
-Create a mailbox in the organisation for receiving these excel files via email
-Create an automated process (via scripting, etc) to dump these Excel files to CSV format or into a Database
-Automate the Data Transfer workbench to import this data into SAP.
It's messy, and you get little or no error feedback, but it is possible.

  • Do you plan on unscrewing up your MS Outlook integration?

I am really appalled at the pitiful MS Outlook integration.  Really I can't create entries with reminders, you moved all my appointments and you didn't notify me of squat.  Good work Apple you've juiced the fruit and left us the core.  Thanks for that rainy cloud.

Thanks your reply, Jeff. I take your point and to be clear, I did enter into my iPhone purchase with my eyes open - I knew from my research and from talking to others that a few things wouldn't work.
My point in return - in case anybody from Apple is reading this - is that there are a heck of a lot of business people like me who would dearly love to dump their BBs and switch to iPhone, and It seems to me that the necessary missing features would not take that much effort to fix.
Like any engineering company, I understand that Apple's R&D dollars are finite and priorities must be determined. My suggestion to them is that adding the Outlook integration features would leverage a lot more sales than, for instance, adding MMS or a videocam or any of the other "missing" features.
Or maybe Apple is happy to let third parties fill the gap? e.g. Hyperoffice:

  • Outlook Integration Not working

    Hi
we are using SAP 8.81 PL5. we upgraded to 8.81 from 8.8. Outlook integration was working fine in the earlier version. But after upgrade whlile connecting it displays message as higher version of outlook is already installed.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling add-on but it is not working.
Any suggestion for the same since it is affecting usage of users.
    solutions will be highly appreciable

    Hi Prince......
Go to C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One
And here you find AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo and AddOnsInstall.sbo
Copy these two files and store it to other drive for safety of other addons running if any.
Now Open AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo with Notepad and delete the contents in that and then save it.
Then login in sap and then try to run addons through Addon Manager..........

  • Outlook Integration menu not visible in Add-ons menu

    Hi,
Outlook Integration doesn't work on one workstation after a recent upgrade to 8.81 PL05.
    It's Windows 7 32-bit with Outlook 2010.
Add-on seems to be successfuly installed and it appears to be connected in Add-on Manager, however the Outlook Integration menu (Default Settings, Company Settings, Define Snapshot Templates) is not visible in SAP. User has full authorisation and the menu doesn't appear in Form Settings to make it visible.
After a while there is a message box saying that Outlook Integration has disconnected and it asks to reconnect Add-on, continue without the Add-on or log off company.
I tried to uninstall and re-install the add-on, but it made no difference.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!
    Cristina

    Hi,
I uninstalled and re-installed SAP Client on that workstation and Outlook Integration was successfully installed.

    Hello,
    try to read belows:
    Microsoft Outlook Integration
    1. You have installed the following on your workstation:
    • Microsoft® Outlook (supported versions: 2000 SR1 (and higher), 2002, 2003)
    • Microsoft® Word (supported versions: 2000 SR1 (and higher), 2002, 2003)
    • Microsoft® Excel (supported versions: 2000 SR1 (and higher), 2002, 2003)
    2. After installing Microsoft Outlook, you have created an e-mail account so that you can send and receive e-mails.
    3. Microsoft Outlook is set as your default mail client. To check your default mail client, on the Microsoft Windows taskbar, choose Start → Settings → Control Panel → Internet Options. On the Programs tab, Microsoft Outlook should be selected in the E-mail field.
    4. You have administrator privileges for the SAP Business One server and have used the SAP Business One Add-On Server Installer to install default snapshot templates on the server as follows:
    a. Put the CD for add-ons in the CD-ROM drive of your SAP Business One server.
    b. Open the SAP Business One add-on server directory. Double-click setup.exe.
    c. In the first window of the InstallShield Wizard, choose Next.
    d. In the Choose Destination Location window, choose Browse to select the installation folder. Then choose Next.
    e. Follow the instructions in the Start Copying Files window.
    f. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete window, choose Finish.
    5. Before you begin add-on registration, you have closed these programs on your workstation:
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
Another is that have you correctly installed standalone installer ?

  • MS Outlook Integration - 4 Big Missing Features

I'm a huge Apple fan but a long time Blackberry user - held off until this week before taking the iPhone plunge.
I've already found 4 big missing features - anyone found any answer to these?
    a) this one is well known I think - you can only sync the Outlook calendar via the USB cable and iTunes. This is plainly ridiculous but Apple have apparently licensed MS Activesync so will hopefully be fixed soon - unless someone has an answer in the interim?
    b) this one is BAD - when someone sends me a calendar invite, it doesn't appear on my iPhone at all. Consequently I miss meetings! This can't be right surely - am I doing something wrong??
    c) attachments are sometimes viewable, sometimes not. I found an article which says only docs attached to HTML or plaintext emails - not RTF (rich text format) - are viewable. If so, this is nuts -99% of my corporate email is RTF.
    d) on a BB, you can select email addresses from the company directory - no such equivalent on the iPhone, you can only select addresses from your contacts. Does Apple expect me to type all my corporate email addresses into contacts??
Appreciate any help you can offer - thanks!

  • Lync 2013 Outlook Integration Issues

I have a client that is having Exchange Outlook Integration issues when trying to set up Lync 2013.
The email address is [email protected] The sip address is
[email protected] But the Lync server is lync.domain.local. Client is on Exchange 2010.
The address book is not downloading and the outlook integration issue error icon appears on the bottom right.
If the client is set manually to [email protected] the address book downloads.
But can Lync work in the long run set up like this?

    Hi,
Did you solve the issue with the help of Andrew provided?
Which sip domain name did you use for default SIP domain ([email protected] or
    [email protected])?
Did the issue happen internal or external?
For the issue of cannot download address book, please check the External Base URL on Lync topology with the help of the link below:

  • Outlook integration slows the client PC down

    Hi all,
    environment:
    2007A, PL 45, Outlook Integration.
the Exchange Server is running  on the same box.
    effect:
following  messages appears on the client:
"Outlook  tries to read data from the server"
(Outlook versucht Daten vom Server abzurufen)
and the client PC will be slowed down.
Could you please give me any hints?
    Thanks and regards,
    Janos

    Dear Janos,
First, I suggest to upgrade the addon and B1 to the latest patch. See the notes about the PL if in the PL, there are several notes explained if there is a bugs or not in the addon or PL version you are currently use.
Check also B1 system requirement and setup guide to know more. Submit this case also to SAP support if not solve.

  • Cannot send alert from SAP by Outlook integration

    Dear All,
We are on SAP8.8. When we create an Alert for a user query, we want to send the report by e mail as well.
We can receive the report by message in SAP. We have no error message in SAP to say send out failed.
But we didn't receive anything from SAP for the report.
I tried to sent out email from SAP. I click the icon then sent out e mail. It can send out for me. So the outlook integration add-on should be fine. Is there anywhere we should check to see if the e mail has been sent out?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    hi,
In Meassges/Alert overview, under sent messages tab,you can see messages which is sent from your system or if you are not able to send email,Goto administration->addons->Outlook integration->Default settings...you check the check box thats it.

  • Jabber 9.2.1 outlook integration.

    Hi,
Just rolled out jabber 9.2.1 to a few users and we are noticing a few problems.
    1. We are no longer able to search the outlook local address book.
On the connection status it shows connection error, address outlook, protocol MAPI, error COM0x80070002.
    2. The calendar integration is not working. We have the Outlook option ticked, but nothing shows up on the calendar tab.
    3. Our Helpdesk operative had a direct number and a number in a hunt group for helpdesk calls. The popup no longer works for the huntgroup calls. I have seen a few reports of this.
Im also looking at getting video working. We didnt have this setup before, but I thought I would try it. i have the MSI installed and a working webcam attached, but the desktop video connection status shows unavailable, reason unknown.
Other than that its gone well
    Steve.

    ****Solved****
I have found that the problem with Outlook integration occured when the new client was upgraded from 9.1
If I uninstall the old client first and then delete the 'c:\documents and settings\userid\application data\Ciso' folder, the new install works OK.
    Steve.
