Outlook - Meeting Invite Single Spaced Signature

When I paste in my single spaced Signature (block) into a meeting invite it is received by the recipient double spaced. What needs to be done to have the Signature appear single spaced?

  • Outlook meeting invites received as ICS txt file in Yahoo mail

My boss is sending Outlook 2010 meeting invites to external users at Gmail, Yahoo, & hotmail.   Gmail accept the meeting invite, but yahoo and hotmail get that as text (.ICS) files.
He is convinced this is an issue with our Exchange server and/or Outlook.  Should he expect that Outlook meeting invites will be received correctly in other mail platforms or is there something I need to enable/install on either his Outlook or
the Exchange 2010 server to enable this?
    Thank you,
    Greg H.

    Hi,
To determine if it's an issue on Outlook or Exchange, you can send a meeting request from OWA, check if this issue persists.
In Outlook, please go to File tab -> Options -> Calendar -> Calendar Options -> Have you checked "When sending meeting requests outside of your organization, use the iCalendar format"? Check or Uncheck it and click OK to test if this
    is involved.

  • Outlook Meeting Invitation Issues

I have been experiencing an issue where we've responded to a meeting invitation sent via email on our iPhones, which then results in a continuing sporadic error message that the record can't sync. I have deleted the meeting from my calendar and the email from my deleted items on both my computer and my phone, but this is still occurring. Is there a need to remove the item from the server? Or is there something else we should be doing or can do to eliminate this? i can't seem to find anything on this issue?

The solution for me was to disable the Calendar from being synchronised in Settings -> Mail,Contacts,Calendars -> Exchange Account -> switch Calendars to OFF, then switch back to ON
Also switching identies will resolve this issue. Yes you will loose some settings but it will resolve the issue.

  • Received Outlook Meeting Invites don't synch

I receive Outlook calendar invites in my BB. They come in fine but when I go to synch my BB up with out look they don't transfer over to my Outlook.
    Anyone know whats happening?
    Chuck

there's a place to configure the synchronization. You can synchronize :
    Outlook --> Blackberry
    Outlook <-- Blackberry
    Outlook <-> Blackberry
I don't know where that is done, maybe in the Desktop Manager Synchronization options, sorry I'm not very specific.

  • How do I get my Mac Mail signature to be single spaced close together and not what looks like a double space?

I am using Mac Mail on Mac Air  with 10.10.  I have a multi line signature but it looks double spaced and I can't get it to look like a single spaced signature.  I tried different fonts and sizes.
    Appreciate your assistance.

I Finally resolved my problem after much research. On my I pad 4 with retina in the field under settings there is a list to choose from-- ex. Aol,Google, yahoo, etc. I chose other and entered att. Used pw and bingo! Problem resolved. It is somewhat configured a little different; but at least I can get all of my 500 e mails.
apple takes IMAP but this is under pop And at least my persistence paid off. You would think something so simple would be informative to us in a better way.

  • How to send an email from CRM that shows-up as Meeting invite?

    Hi,
I want to send an email invitation for a meeting to the contact such that it appears as a meeting invite on Outlook. How can this be achieved?
I know one way is to create an Appointment, sync it with Outlook, add attendees and send invite. But can we do this from within CRM?
We have a custom meeting entity and we can add our contacts and employees as attendees. But we want to send an email to all those attendees from within CRM such that it appears as a meeting invite/Appointment.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Fahad Ali Shaikh

If you want to use meeting invites, it needs to be a meeting, not a custom entity.
You could write code to send an .ics file for the meeting for example, but the point of an Outlook meeting invite is that the organiser can track who has said they are or are not attending, or have not yet replied, for example.
Note that more recent versions of CRM *do* send invitations out for appointments created in CRM, depending on how you configure your synchonisation (eg using SSS they are automatically sent out).
    Hope this helps.

  • Lync Outlook Plug-in displays Region and Language in Meeting Invite only with Lync 2013

    Hello,
I am running Lync 2010 right now and have a some users who are using Office 2013 and Lync 2013 client. When they create an Online Meeting using the plug-in in outlook the meeting invite shows the location and number but also displays the region that number
is coming from along with the Primary Language it is available in. This does not happen with Lync 2010 client and Office 2010. I really don't think the region name and the language is important and it makes the meeting invite look messy. Is there a way to prevent
this globally? Is this what I can expect from Lync 2013, as I am in the process of deploying that now?

Holger is right, that's just the way it is and you can't really change it. You can customize what is seen in the screenshot however.    The only thing you can really do is hand edit them, or if it's the dedicated meeting space you could
cut and paste it into a signature and customize it any way you like, but that breaks other things like some of the one-click join functionality.

  • Calendar Meeting Invite from Outlook 2010 to iCal

    Hello,
I am very VERY new to Macs and to be honest Calendar invites in general (Came from a Lotus Domino environment). I have come across an oddity that I am almost sure is related to the content of the .ICS file generated by Outlook and then sent to a mail user who uses an Apple Max OS X 10.7.3. (our Managing Director). It has resulted in me (IT for the company) buying an Apple Mac to try and troubleshoot. Sorrry for the Blurb
    Working Scenario is
    1. Use a Google email account and the Web interface to send a meeting invite to another Google homed account and that person uses a Mac as described.
    2. Invite arrives and is automatically available in iCal with a tentative meeting (grey) event PLUS the notification panel in iCal showing an alert.
    3. The notification Panel alert can then be used to Accept/decline the invite.
For the MD this is how he wants to work. As he gets numerous invites he can quickly scan down the notification alerts and access/decline as he goes. Rather than opening all of the email messages.
    Failing Scenario is
    1. Use an Outlook 2010 client to send the exact same invite to the same person at the same time (etc.)
    2. Invite arrives in the Mac mail Box. BUT DOES NOT trigger iCal's notification panel
    3. The Mac User needs to click on the attached .ICS file and if iCal is also visible you can see the notification alert appear
I have TextEdited both .ICS files and yes they are different. The general VCALENDAR elements are roughly the same but there differences with bits and pieces that a too numerous to mention. There is also all of the garbage with X- elements which I would think iCal will ignore anyway. I have tried hacking the failing .ICS when it arrives but that doesn't mimic the same type of flow and in the end I can't modify the .ICS files either as they are sent or arrive.
Yes, I have told the Outlook client to send using the iCalendar format for external recipients.
I was wondering if anyone had come across the same type of requirement or the same type of issue?
    thanks in advance
    Bruce.

I had the identical problem.  I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
    1.  Connect the 4s to the computer.
    2.  Open iTunes.
    3.  Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
    4.  Click on the info tab.
    5.  Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
    6.  Ditto for Calendars.
    7.  Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes.  I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s.  That did the trick.

    Hi,
How did you open the .ics file in Outlook?
What error message did you get when you try to open the .ics file?
We can try File > Open > Open Calendar...
Or we can try to import the .ics file into your calendar, see:

  • Meeting Invitation of HTML outlook 2013

  • Can't Accept Meeting Invitations from Outlook 2003

I may be beating a dead horse here, but I just got the new iPhone 3GS, former Blackberry user. We do not use Outlook Exchange Server, but we do use just the stand alone Outlook 2003 application for calendars. I used to be able to open and respond to meeting invitations on my Blackberry, but have found that I can't open the meeting invitation on the new iPhone. From what I have read so far, it seems that this may not be currently supported by the iPhone. Can someone confirm this for me? If this is true, is there some work around by switching to using Google Calendar or Mobileme or something for Calendars??

I'm a former Palm Treo user for years, syncing with Palm desktop on my PC, and have several thousand appointments with notes on my Palm, as well as over 1000 contacts. I just switched to the i-phone 3GS, moved all my data from the palm over to Outlook 2003, synced after much heartache and difficulty, then moved all this data to the i-phone via i-tunes. As a first time user, the usefulness of the built-in calendar app. is weak, and when you have multiple overlapping appointments, it's very difficult to see these appointments in an easy visual field. In addition, there's no way to search for any content within the appointments other than by the particular day. Nor can you see the year view on the calendar.
Does any former Palm of Blackberry business user have another Calendar application suggestion for the 3GS or 3G that will sync with Outlook 2003, or better yet with Mobile Me? If you move to a different app for calendar, syncing with multiple machines or Mobile me is a problem, from what Apple tech support tells me.
    Thanks.

  • Outlook 2010/iCloud meeting invites

I have iCloud CP installed on Windows 7 with outlook 2010. When someone sends a meeting invite, it does not show up in the inbox. The meeting shows in the calendar but not in the inbox. This only happens on windows machines with iCloud installed.

We figured this one out. It was because he was using his work email as his Apple ID. We switched which email address was linked to his iCloud account and it started working.

  • Keeping meeting invites in Outlook inbox

I'm using outlook 2007 on the desktop but our servers have just been upgraded from whatever (2003 I guess) to exchange 2010. Since the move, I noticed a change.
When I send a meeting invite out that includes me as an invitee (either as part of a distribution list or me by myself), the invite automatically gets placed into the Deleted Items folder.
I understand that in Outlook Tools->Options->Email Options->Advanced Options there is this "delete meeting request from inbox when responding" setting. But I have always had this setting unchecked - both before & after the move to exchange
    sever 2010.
Oddly, meeting invites to me created by others do stay in my inbox after I accept them.
Is there anything I can do to keep the meeting invites I create in my inbox?

Why would you want to keep the meeting invite in your inbox when you send out the invitation?
Anyway, this may be the calendar attendant at work in Exchange 2010- cleaning up redundant requests. If you look in EMC under the properties of your mailbox, you'll see the calendar  settings tab and what is enabled by default.
I dont think its odd that meeting requests sent by others stay in your inbox. After all, you unchecked that option in Outlook. :)

  • Outlook 2010 hangs when selecting a meeting invite

Sometimes when the users click on a meeting invite from a user from a different company (Full Trust between domains)Outlook shows the
"Searching for this meeting..." message and hangs. According to Microsoft this is just checking the conflicting appointments and this message should disappear after few seconds but it does not. The only way to recover outlook is to
end the outlook.exe task from the task manager. I have tried creating new outlook profile, new ost file or even a different computer but the issue remains. Can't find any solution on the net. Any help will be appreciated.
The email account is configured to use an Exchange server... and the computer is connected to a domain. The email is coming from a company which has full trust with our company's domain.

    Hi,
Does this issue occur on OWA?
If not, I would suggest we use the process monitor to see where does Outlook hung when opening the meeting request.
