Outlook Meetings and gmail

Just got my Droid X2 a couple of weeks ago and I am trying to figure out an easy way to accept Microsoft Outlook Meeting Notices sent to my gmail account on my phone. Right now I am logging into gmail and accepting the meeting notice which then allows my gmail calendar to synch with the calendar on my phone. There has to be a better/easy way to do this.
Thanks!!

One thing to note: These would meeting invites that I am forwarding from my work email to my gmail account. Company doesn't pay for my phone so I don't have all of the Exchange stuff set-up.

  • Configuring iCloud email with Outlook 2010 and Gmail

    Hello All,
I have created a new iCloud email (@me.com) and I want to know how I can use it NOT only on my iPhone and iPad but also on my outlook 2010 and on my Gmail account.
I use Outlook 2010 in my office and home, I use Gmail when I am on the go. My Gmail is also configured in my Outlook so basically I have all my accounts on Gmail and I just use Outlook's interface.
I want my iCloud to be on it as well. Obviously I want it to be and IMAP type of configuration so I can see all the emails on my iPhone, iPad, Outlook 2010 and Gmail!!!!
Can you please tell me where I can find relevant information on those configuration?
    Thank you,
    YoYo

this is sad, 7 months of no answers from the apple folks.  Hello support?

  • How can I have unified contacts across outlook, iphone and gmail?

I am new to iPhone and cannot seem to get something that I really enjoyed on my blackberry, unified contacts across all three platforms.  I use Outlook for work and Gmail for personal.  I had it set up on my blackberry that I had one set of contacts, not separated by outlook or gmail.  The goal was to have the same set of contacts in all three places.  Any changes made in any place, outlook, gmail, or blackberry, was reflected in all three places.
Is there a way to do this on the iPhone?  I had set up my iPhone to sync with gmail and outlook, but it created two sets of contacts, so when I searched for a person, it would show two or more records.  I just want one contact list.  Is there a way to turn off the contact seperation and just have one list?  I just want to be able to make a change in any of the three places and have it reflected across all three.
I have both work and gmail set up via exchange for push email and syncing.

The contacts had to be separated on your Blackberry but were viewed as combined, which is possible with the iPhone's Contacts app.
With my iPhone, I sync business contacts over the air with my company Exchange account, and I sync personal contacts over the air with iCloud account - former MobileMe account. My personal iCloud contacts are also synced with the Address Book on my Mac and I would be doing the same with my Exchange business contacts but we aren't using a compatible Exchange Server software in order for me to do that. If I was doing so, my business contscts and my personal contacts would be separated in the Address Book on my Mac and I would have the ability to view business and personal contacts combined or separately as I can with my business and personal contacts on my iPhone.
Does Outlook support syncing your Gmail online contacts so your personal contacts would be kept synchronized between the three - Outlook, Google online address book, and your iPhone?
If you are syncing contacts over the air with your iPhone and syncing contacts direct with a supported address book app on your computer via the iTunes sync process, the contacts will be duplicated on your iPhone - one set stored locally, and one set stored in the online address book for the email account.

  • Drafts folder relocation Outlook 2013 and Gmail IMAP and multiple saves to trash folder

    Hi,
I have Office professional 2013 32 bit running on Win 7 64bit. I have an issue that I know has been discussed but I see no resolution.
The drafts are saved on the server not locally and the trash folder fills with multiple copies of the draft, the number of copies appears to relate to the time of editing the draft. I have to go in and delete these copies in Trash after writing an email.
Outlook 2013 does not allow me to remap the drafts folder I click unsubscribe and it says the folder is a special folder and cannot be unsubscribed in Outlook. I use the account on my iPhone and this allows me to unsubscribe from the folder.
Has anyone found a solution or is anyone working on a resolution for this problem?
    Best regards,
    Clive

I am having a similar problem with trash receiving multiple copies of some drafts. In last 20 minutes 19 copies of a draft have been included in trash. It seems to happen when I view a draft --but not solely
Using Outlook 2013 with IMAP GMail on windows 7 on a laptop. It synchs with my IPHONE. Yesterday I called Dell Support. They said it was a virus -- though a thorough scan found one item --it was deleted and problem continues.

I use Outlook 2010 to connect to the Gmail servers and it works properly.  What are your complete email and server settings, including ports?

    Chris

    Hi Chris,
It might be that Outlook register the specific email address with an incorrect E-mail type which is a problem. So try to change the E-mail type to
SMTP on E-mail Properties dialog and verify result:
Open the email from your Sent Items folder, right click the recipients in To
field, and select Open Outlook Properties, change the E-mail type to
    SMTP.
    Hope this helps.

  • Outlook and Gmail

I have Outlook 2013 and Gmail account. Whenever I open Outlook, the programme immediately stops. I cannot open Outlook and receive/send any emails. This was not always the case. Office has been uninstalled and re-installed. Is there an issue with the interface
between Gmail and Outlook, and if so, is there anything I can do to address it? Thank you.

    Hi,
Personally I'm not experiencing this issue with my Outlook with Gmail setup via IMAP.
Delete the Outlook Profile from Control Panel -> Mail, Open Outlook and setup a new profile, check if this problem persists. You can also try with another account except the Gmail account, test if this is only Gmail related.
You can also open Event Viewer to research deeper:
Press Win key + R, type "eventvwr" in the blank box, press Enter.
Find errors about Outlook from Windows Logs -> Application, this may help find the root cause.

    Hi,
What's kind of problem between Outlook 2013 and Gmail you've met? Please detail it and we could continue to support you in a right direction.
Outlook 2013 changes how IMAP accounts are handled. Assuming you're set Gmail IMAP in Outlook client, here is a article about IMAP accounts changing in Outlook 2013 for your reference:

  • Sync Outlook 2011 for mac and gmail agenda

    Hello,
I have problem when I try to synchronize outlook 2011 calendar and gmail agenda.
I do it by synchronizing outlook 2011 (for mac) calendar with iCal and after I synchronize iCal with google agenda.
When I create a new category for exemple project under outlook and add event to this category, it creates a new calendar project under iCal in the "On my Mac" header. that's ok.
When I create a new calendar named project under google agenda, I can add it under iCal in the "google" header. that's ok.
but thuis two calendar (on my mac and in google header) are'nt synchronized in iCal even if they have the same name.
Do you know a mean to synchronize the calendar ? thanks in advance

two ways of doing this, you could try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2452489, or drag each individual calendar event into iCal. You can't do multiple items has to be one... at... a... time.

  • How do I sync Mail with Outlook and Gmail in browser?

I really like the Mail app in OS X, but I've noticed that it's not synced with the browser version of my email accounts, so anything I do in Mail (e.g. read an email, delete/trash it, etc) is only reflected within the app and not in my browser.
Just in case I didn't explain that properly: For example, if I read an email in Mail, and then switch to my Outlook account in Safari to check if that email has been marked as read, it would still appear as unread. If I delete and trash and email in Mac, that same email appears exactly where it used to be in Outlook, completely untouched.
This bothers me for two reasons. One, even if I were to stick with Mail and not touch my Outlook/Gmail accounts in Safari again, I still wouldn't like the idea of my inbox being all messy if I were ever to log back in. Two, Mail doesn't seem to have any options to create folders and subfolders as far as I'm aware, so my emails which are very neatly organized in Outlook are all lumped together in Mail's inbox. So even though Mail is a neat little app, I still have Outlook and Gmail bookmarked.
I'd like to know if there's a way to sync Mail with my email accounts in-browser, so that any changes I make in the app also show up when I log into my actual accounts? Maybe I'm just missing something or if this is not possible at all, please let me know. Thank you!

You have to set those accounts up as IMAP. Right now you probably have them set up as POP3 accounts.
Pop3 account are one way. You download your mail to your computer and send mail from your computer and it all stays on that particular computer. Imap stores everything on the mail providers server. Incoming and outgoing mail is always on the imap server and can be gotten on multiple devices. All sent mail is store on the server also and can be viewed from multiple devices.
With outlook that might not be possible. Not sure if individual outlook accounts can use imap. I do know that the office365 side can as that is what my company uses and some people are using macs and other email program other then ms outlook.

  • Missing Messages in Outlook 3013 using Windows 7 and Gmail

I have configured my Gmail account taking heed of settings recommended by MS and Gmail and everything appears to be working but I regularly lose messages from the folders Sent and Inbox. I know messages were sent as they are included in the replies I have
received and all my messages are in Gmail when I access the account on the web but those same messages are not in Outlook. I have seen similar posts relating to Outlook 2010 but frankly the only fix that seemed to get a thumbs up was in regard to folders NOT
individual messages. I am starting a business and bought a full Office 2013 Pro version so I don't wany to ignore Outlook and its integral part of office and revert to Gmail for email handling
Can anyone help without getting into programming issues which I would not be experienced enough to implement?

You have asked your Gmail question in a Microsoft Exchange forum.  I recommend that you post this in the Outlook Forum:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/threads  But, quite frankly, I don't know that you're going to get much help with that request.

  • How to sync outlook 2013 and iCal

    Hi there!
So, at work I use a windows computer cause our company's applications don't run on a mac. But at home and mobile, everything is Mac. To organize my agenda I use my iCloud calendar. When I'm at work and have to input something in my calendar, I have to either get my iPhone out of my pocket or log into the browser version of iCloud and input it there. I use a company based e-mail (not an outlook account) managed through outlook 2013 office app, and I noticed that it also has a calendar you can input your appointments, set meetings and etc. My question is: Is there a way to sync both iCal app and the Outlook app so that everything I input at home (in a Mac) shows up at work (in Outlook) and vice-versa? This would make life so much easier cause I won't need to keep switching between apps.
    Thank you all!
