How can i open .msg data? (My Software: MS-Outlook for Mac)

It's not an apple solution but you can try MailRaider by 45 RPM software. I have not used it personally but it was one of the hits that came up when I did a google search for .msg on Mac.
Hopefuly the link posts but if not then just head over to macupdate and do a search for MailRaider

    Hope this helps.

I can see my folders by clicking the X next to my name on the Inbox Folder.  So I have my folders now, just cannot see them in the left colum or see multiple windows on Outlook.  At this point, I can use the folders, just with limited functionality.  Thanks -Gina

    Where do these files reside?
    Is there a hidden Outbox??

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

This one will create the form, database and send out the emails...

The alternative is to use a marketing service if your business can justify the cost. Their templates are tested in all the common email clients...

  • Synchronize Windows XP/Outlook 2003 with Dot-Mac?

I'm very curious whether anyone has come across an application I can load on Windows XP that will enable me to synchronize Outlook with my Dot-Mac account. This would be an ideal application from Apple to support converts from Windows to Mac but also for those of us who are forced to use a Corporate Windows box for business but who also use their Mac's to get the real work done
    I hope this isn't a pipe dream!

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already done that a couple of times each with a bit different perspective. The main reason I post ideas like this out on this forum is because I believe that the most creative solutions come from the real-world and people who enjoy coding to solve problems. Apple has become too big to concern themselves with every little feature or applet so they rely on independents to come up with the brilliant solutions while they focus on their core product.
At the end of the day, they don't have the ability nor agility to address these issues but they also don't want to pay salaries for developers to come up with one or two fixes so from their perspective, its a win-win.
Speaking from experience, people not under the proverbial thumb of a major corporation have much more creativity and are able to arrive at a solution typically much quicker. The only caveat to that is not having the resources available but the key to that is open source.
Philosophies aside, its my hope that someone out there in the forum community will have seen this and either is or knows of someone who is or has been working on a solution similar to this.
My .02 cents - thats why the posting - to inspire discussion and thought.
    Thanks!

  • I need help creating PDF files from Outlook .msg files.

I am trying to create a single PDF file from a group of Outlook .msg files. I need the attachments to be preserved and I am hoping that the individual .msg messages will be separated / bookmarked.
I am trying to remove large quantities messages from my mailbox and store them elsewhere as a record of correspondence.

Try running Repair Disk on the external drive.
With the drive connected go to Applications / Utilities / Disk Utility and double click DU.
In the left column click to select the name of the external (the item indented to the right).
    Click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
Unless you get a message the drive cannot be repaired, you should run Repair Disk again and again until you see green text saying the disk was repaired.
    Quit DU.
If you get the message that the disk cannot be repaired, you will need a more powerful repair utility.

  • Syncing Outlook 2011 on a mac with iCloud

Does Outlook 2011 on a mac sync with iCloud.  I have followed the instructions on the Apple site with no luck.  Anyone else having this problem?

Outlook for Mac is not compatible with iCloud. Microsoft does not support the open, industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols iCloud (and most other online calendaring services) use.

  • Parse Outlook msg files in ABAP

    Hi,
I'm looking for a way to parse Outlook MSG-Files in ABAP. E.g. to extract the subject line of a message. In my scenario the files are stored in DMS and have to be processed within a background job. Right now i had no luck in converting the binary data of this file format. Any help is welcome.

It is possible to write ABAP code to extract subject lines using .MSG File Format details.

  • VBA check save Outlook .msg files

hello guys, how do i check saved msg file on a folder or network share  via VBA  and determine whether it is an Inbox item or a Sent Item?
Of course, can open the msg file and check whether its an inbox or a sent item.
But it's ideal only for a few outlook msg files.
Is there anyway to check save outlook mail files (.msg files) via VBA?
Like check if it is an inbox or receive msg file then put to receive folder and if it is a sent item put to sent folder.
    Thank you.

Once you save an email to an .msg file you cannot determine what folder it originated from.  However, you'd know it was a sent item by looking at the MailItem.SenderName or .SenderEmailAddress property IF you know the name of the sender.

Can we suggest this thing to MS? :)

  • How to store Sent msgs on my Mac

I've created Sent folders under "on my Mac" in Mail, but when I click on Use this Mailbox for, all the options are grayed out. My sent msgs are currently being stored on the server, but I will run out of room there over the long haul and want to keep msgs. on my Mac. I've unchecked the box for Store Sent Messages on Server.

Open Mail preferences, click on Accounts icon in the toolbar.  Select your account and click on the Mailbox Behavior tab in the right display panel.  Locate the pull-down menu for the Sent mail.  Uncheck the option to store on the server.
Your existing Sent mailbox will now be located on your computer.  You should now find there are two Sent mailboxes - one on the server and one local.  Select all the sent mail from the server side and drag into the local side.  When the transfer is completed all your sent mail will be local.  You can then delete the Sent mailbox on the server if you want.

  • Can't import Outlook 2011 emails to Mac Mail

    Hi,
Recently I have shifted back to mac mail because of some personal reasons. Work is going great with mac mail, but the only thing I am worried about is the emails that are still in outlook 2011. Is there any wau to transfer all those emails from outlook 2011
over to mac mail. As the emails are regarding work and are important to be used in future to keep records of our clients. I have tried the export function but somehow it does not seem to work properly. Is there ant other possible way to do this?
I am not that much of a technological guy so please be kind in your responses, I request to suggest some fast and reliable method. Thank you.

You can use an intermediary IMAP server, or simply create corresponding folders in Finder and drag and drop the messages from within Outlook to that folder. Then you can import to Mail from those folders/files.
Or you can simply look for third party tools for better and fast results, here is one recommended by apple store: Om to Mbox

  • Can't open Outlook msg files

    Hi,
We are using Windows Phone with Nokia Lumia and we can't open outlook msg files.
From Desktop, we save Outlook messages into msg format in SharePoint libraries, but When I try to open this message using Internet Explorer with Nokia Lumina, it can't do it. Windows Phone can't open msg files.
It is this possible? Can't install Outlook client into Windows Phone? Exists any msg reader?
    Thanks

    Hello,
I am not really sure what that means?
Did you set it up manually on the sequencer, or did you create it manually on after monitoring?
Is whats captured the same thing as whats setup when its working?
Have you compared how it works on a manually setup client vs whats actually configured within your package?
