Outlook not an option during synchronization with Curve

I am having same problem..... all my calendar and contact information is in Microsoft Outlook..... I'm trying to synch a curve with Microsoft outlook which is a part of my Office 2000..... And I'm using version 4.5 of Blackberry Desk Manager....
when I try to synch calendar I only get three choices: Yahoo, Ascii export, and "none"...... (but no Outlook)... when I try to synch with contacts, I again fail to get outlook as option, only output express which is my personal e-mail server, but does not contain my calendar and contact data that I loaded via desktop software from Palm (I'm trying to replace my Palm Zire 31 PDA with the curver)...
I sure need help I appreciate all replies plus an answer to this question: does blackberry have a tech support number for individual questions and help?
TarHeel who is greatly puzzled..... Do I have to turn in my Curve which I love exect I have so much data in OUtlook that I must have on my handheld even if I have to return to a Palm based phone... (PLs say I don't have to do this)

Outlook 2000 is not supported by version 4.5 of the Desktop Manager.
You will have to use a previous version of the Desktop Manager.
To get the latest version of the Desktop Manager that supports Outlook 2000, look at the top of the current page and click on the SOFTWARE button and find your way to the Desktop Software page.

I am just setting up my new blackberry - I loaded the software and am trying to synchronize. When I click on contacts or calender or tasks I dont have an option of Outlook. Under contacts I have outlook express, but I am using outlook not outlook express. When My husband did it on his machine it worked fine he had the option in the list of outlook or outlook express. I dont have either? What do I do, I have been trying everything for 2 hours now!!!!

It sounds as if you downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you did, uninstall it. Then repair Adobe Reader.
The free Acrobat account has no connection to any of this.

Outlook not showing up in Synchronization Configuration

I am a new user of Blackberry Desktop Software. Over the past 2 years, I have been syncing my Blackberry with my Outlook through our company's Enterprise Exchange server wirelessly. Now that I have left the company, I am trying to use and configure the Blackberry Desktop Software on my own.
I downloaded and installed Desktop Software v4.6. I am on Windows Vista and am using MS Outlook 2007 installed. My phone is a Blackberry 7130.
My problem is that when I try to configure Synchronization, MS Outlook 2007 does NOT show up as an option. The only options I see are (1) Yahoo! and (2) Ascii Importer/Exporter. This is true whether I am setting up synchronization for my Calendar, Tasks, MemoPad or Address Book.
How do I configure the software so that I can sync my phone with Outlook? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It sounds like the IT Policy from the BES you were connected to, restricts it from syncing with any other outlook user etc..
try wiping the device and or calling ur prev emp and getting them to send a blank IT policy to the device, but that would mean u would have to connect to their BES again which they prob wouldn't like.
There is info on the net on how to remove the IT policy but I am not authorised to give out such info..

After 9/12/07 Update Outlook not an option

using Win XP Pro with Outlook I do not have the option of syncing to Outlook. Up until this update, it was working fine.

I have the same problem.
Windows XP Pro

Outlook doesn't appear as an option to sync to, (not even for contacts), neither does Internet explorer.

Photoshop not an option in "Open with..." menu

When I right-click an image file in Windows and select "Open with...," Photoshop CS 5.5 is not listed as an option. Even when I browse for the program to open it with and select the appropriate "Photoshop.exe" file, it still will not show up in the app menu. I basically can't get a JPG into Photoshop without using "File : Open" from within Photoshop.
I used to have Photoshop CS4 installed, so wondering if that messed up the installation of 5.5. I've uninstalled Photoshop CS4. Also uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS5.5 (although I kept my preferences). No luck.
Anybody else having this problem? Is this related to a Windows registry issue?

PR with FM Commitment Item not to reverse during PO with Inventory G/L

Hi,
I am facing a problem with FM Budget during Procurement.
We have create Purchase Requisition with Expense G/L, Cost Center and Activity (I/O) (to hit FM Budget).
During PO, we change Expense G/L with Inventory G/L (by removing 'f' from Acct Assignment Cat). Once we save PO, then the Expense Budget that was reduced at the time of Purchase Requisition is reversed.
Can anybody let me know how this reverse posting at the time of PO can be stopped in this scenerio.
We want that if we removed the PR expense G/L at the time of PO and replace the same by Inventory G/L, then the budget that was reduced at Purchase Requisition should not be reversed.

We have implement Budget on Cost Element and Cost Center through Fund Management at Procurement Level (it means that if budget amount is exusted then there will be no procurement)
Here I am giving an example:
For Material PO, we have created Purchase Requision with Budget Cost Element and Cost Center (to hit budget).
Once the PR is save, Budget is impacted.
Now we create Material PO with the above PR reference by deleting 'f' from Accont Assignment Category which deletes Cost Element and Cost Center from Account Assignment. Once we save PO then the system reverse the budget amount on Cost Element and Cost Center which was impacted at the time of PR.
We want that at the time of PO, the Budget amount should not be reversed.

How to setup ORCLDEFAULTPROFILEGROUP on during synchronization with AD

Users with groups load from AD. And use external authentication plug-in. I want to set defult page for diferents groups, so when a user belongs to group A, its first page after login was page A
I set for profile group A - default home page A, and for profile group B - defult home page B.
In Global settings default page C.
After these settings, when user from group A logs on, portal redirect to page C, not to pageA.
I need that when user log on portal, portal redirect to page for his group.
I set ORCLDEFAULTPROFILEGROUP for user and all work fine, but I cannot set this attribute on during synhronization. I don't know what do it.
Please help.

To run a public VPN server, you need to do the following:
1. Give the gateway either a static external address or a dynamic DNS name. The latter must be a DNS record on a public DNS registrar, not on the server itself. Also in the latter case, you must run a background process to keep the DNS record up to date when your IP address changes.
2. Give the VPN server a static address on the local network, and a hostname that is not in the top-level domain "local" (which is reserved for Bonjour.)
3. Forward external UDP ports 500, 1701, and 4500 (for L2TP) and TCP port 1723 (for PPTP) to the corresponding ports on the VPN server.

MM - output type not *allways* assigned during posting with MB1C?

Hi guys,
in one of our R/3 4.6C systems we have developed an automation process, where one of the steps is to call transaction MB1C in background mode and to do some postings in K-stock (expenditure), depending on input data. There are few output types, which are supposed to be attached automaticaly to the newly produced MM document, and further to be printed out by end-users.
Everything goes as expected at development and test stage. Even in production there were allmost allways no problems. But in some unpredicted occations output types are not automaticaly assigned. In case output types are not automaticaly assigned, end user is supposed to assign them manualy, which is annoying (obviously).
The problem does not arise at our testing system.
Due to roll-out of the automation process to more stores at the client' company this problem rises more times.
We have started some investigation, but are stuck up to now.
Does anyone have a clue what might goes wrong and where to push our efforts in order to resolve the problem?

thanks for comment. Perhaps I missed something in my explanation. There are few output types, which are assigned automaticaly to MM-document when it is posted. "Few" means 8. And all of them are assigned as expected in case of manual processing, and even when posted in this automation procecess in background.
Well, I have found the problem. As I explained, this is an automated process. There might be more than 1 document to be created one after another. Allways the 1st document is created correctly with output types assigned, but all next documents (2nd, 3th...) are created without output types assigned automaticaly.
The issues was - there was missing check in the recording RM07M-XNAPR = 'X' (GI/GR slip Print = 'X'), and further output types were not assigned for the 2-nd (and next) documents. Strangely it appears in the document preview (via MB03 for example), even if it was not supplied. Even more strangely, 1-st document gots all the output types assigned, which perhaps was due to some inheriting behaviour.
We reproduced the problem in test system and fixed it.

Can not load modules during boot with kernel 2.6.31

Every time i install kernel 2.6.31 (ever since it got into core), after reboot i receive message
FATAL: module ... not found
with every module in my rc.conf, or sometimes with this message:
FATAL: could not load /lib/modules/2.6.30-ARCH/modules.dep no such file or directory
Before those errors the boot script complaisn about hardware clock (right after the Arch Linux line):
Could not access the hardware clock via any known method.
After that I can still start X but my keyboard and mouse are completely dead. The console works fine, i just can not load any module per hand, some daemon can not be started - obviously.
Latest kernel 2.6.30 works fine. Is this a problem of 2.6.31 ?

/lib/modules/2.6.30-ARCH/
That is very strange... it's not booting into .31
It's an install problem because that dir shouldn't be there after updating kernel26.
I know you said you installed from core, but was it a custom install? Did you change the PKGBUILD in anyway?
After installing .31, before rebooting do depmod 2.6.31-ARCH
Then do mkinitcpio -p kernel26
Post the output of the second one.

Start synchronization with CRM from Outlook

Hello,
I have set up client based Outlook integration with SAP CRM 2007.
When I in Outlook press the button "Start synchronization with CRM", I have to logon to the CRM system manually even though I have done the following:
1) Checked in SMICM the server name and port number for HTTPS.
2) Concatenated it into <server_name>:<port number> and entered it in the synchronization settings together with client, user-ID and password.
Any thoughts on this?

.mac System Preference "Synchronize with .Mac"

In the .mac System Preferences in the Sync tab there is an option to "Synchronize with .Mac." In doing some testing, a value of "Automatically" does not seem to trigger a sync as I would expect when a selectable item (like "Calendars") is changed. Does anyone know what initiates a sync when "Automatically" is specified?

During synchronization with iCloud I lost internet connection. Later I tried to synchronize again, but it doesn't upload the rest of the photos on my iPhone. I'm worries, cause the computer and my old device are lost. But I want my photos back
I don't know, can i just restart my device without loosing those photos

Have you tried to to turn off photo stream for a moment and then to tun it back on again (Settings > iCloud > Photos > My Photo Stream)? Sometimes this helps to refresh the sync process.
