Outlook not syncing - again - 9.1.1

Today (May 17, 2010) I downloaded and installed the latest version of Itunes. I had an older version of Itunes running because the last version would not sync with Outlook calendars, contacts and notes.
I followed the bulleting board and it seemed that 9.1.1 was ok with Outlook.
For me it's not. Once again I cannot sync? Ideas?

outlook not syncing with icloud on iphone?

Also make sure you are using the same iCloud account on your PC and your iPhone.  Go to Settings/iCloud on your iPhone and check the account email address.  Then check the iCloud account on your PC.  If you have a Windows PC, click on the iCloud icon in your system tray to see what icloud email account you are logged into.
I changed the email on my iPhone and. iPad, but forgot to change the email on my PC and my calendars wouldn't sync.  It finally dawned on me that I forgot to change the account on my PC.

  • How to make the Notes sync again with Outlook?

I recently changed my iPhone 5 to a new iPhone 6.  At the first it did not sync at all with iTunes.  After a few updates, now looks like it is OK. However, I could never get to sync or coordinate the Notes from Outlook to the iPhone 6.  I have tried to all the guidelines that are posted, but basically the setting to Sync Over-the-air the notes cannot be modified, making it almost impossible to change, even when I connect the iPhone with iTunes.
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,
    please do the following steps.
Goto SPRO --> SAP Reference-IMG --> Customer Relationship Management --> Layout of User Interface (People-Centric UI) --> Application Element --> Tab Page Group --> Tab Page Group Structure
Please select there your Tab Page Group. Now there are listed all Tab Pages. Search for your Tab Page. Now the last field in the corresponding row is the field Inactive. Please select here the value Flag is Not Set. Now your Tab Page should be visible in portal.

  • Outlook not sync contacts with changed "file as" field?

I am syncing contacts and calendar from Outlook on my office PC (and everything else from Mac at home). I have a very large contact list and have noticed that a number of key contacts have not synced. It appears that any contacts with a changed "file as" field have not been syned (e.g. contact entry of "Daniel Smith" with "file as" field altered in Outlook to show "Dan Smith" does not show anywhere on iPhone). Needless to say, these are actually the contacts that I use most often so I'm hoping to find a solution.
On a related point, it's hard to determine exactly how many contacts are not syncing b/c I can't find anyplace on the iPhone or in iTunes that lists shows info on the number of contacts (so I can't compare to my count in Outlook).
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any known solutions or work-arounds? (I'm hoping to avoid a full export, clean-up, and import to iPhone through the Mac Address Book or similar b/c I'm concerned that in then trying to sync w/ Outlook I'd get duplicates. Also, my contact list has thousands of contacts so it would be very dedious. My current work-around is to still carry my Treo in my briefcase, which is not ideal).
Thanks in advance for any help.

boynsea: Thanks for the input, but isn't the IMAP aspect of Outlook limited to the way one can connect to an Exchange server for e-mail? I've been successful in getting the IMAP connection for e-mail working. Contacts and calendar are designed to sync when physically docked with the computer rather than over-the-air; I know, if something like exchange activesync is ever licensed for iPhone then the calendar can be updated over-the-air, but I suspect that contacts will always be synced only when docked (which is how my Treo was set up).
Anyway, I did test my theory about the "file-as" field by changing a few contacts back to their default display and now they sync just fine. I really don't want to have to do this for all contacts, and can't actually tell how many are involved since I haven't found anyplace that the number of contacts is listed. Also, does anyone know if there is a readily accessible syncronization log that can be checked? That might show those contacts that are rejected.
    Thanks.

  • Mail for Exchange outlook not syncing all calendar...

    Hi,
Nokia E6 Anna using mail for exchange to sync outlook.com/hotmail calendar. Recently switched phone so would like my entire outlook.com calendar to appear on E6.
I added mail for exchange hotmail account to phone selecting email, calendar and contacts. However only recurring calendar entries sync. Old single appointments do not sync/appear on the E6. Why is that ?
Are there any specific calendar settings for mail for exchange ? Mail for exchange/settings has no mention of calendar.
I use hotmail connector to sync desktop outlook 2010 and outlook.com. Syncing calendar in nokia suite results in duplicate 'Mail for Exchange' calendars so no good.
If known issue that's OK. A solution would be good.
    thanks,

    I have solved this myself.

  • Hotmail/Outlook Not Syncing with iPhone Mail Correctly

Here's the situation; I have a Hotmail account that I use almost exclusively with Outlook 2010 and iPhone (don't often access via Hotmail.com, if that matters).  I keep my Inbox in Outlook fairly "clean" and regularly delete and organize emails I want to keep, by moving them from my Hotmail Inbox to locally stored folders.
My problem is; while the emails are apparently "off the server" -- in other words, they no longer appear in the Inbox in Outlook nor when accessed via Hotmail.com, they DO still appear in my iPhone Mail Inbox.
Is there anyway to get Mail to recognize that these messages are no longer on the server and should no longer appear in my Inbox?
    Thank you!

You need to set up the hotmail account on your iphone again.

I did it and it appears to be on sync again.

  • ATV Not Syncing again.

I reported a similar problem earlier about syncing issues with Apple TV. This was eventually resolved by doing a clean reinstall (Combo version of OS 10.6.3). This worked well for about 2 weeks.
However the recent software upgrades of OSX 10.6.4, iTunes 9.2, Safari 5 and iPhone iOS4. All of which was carried out in that order. Has left a similar problem is that the ATV shows up in iTunes>Devices however when it tries to sync I get an error message, referring to "Firewall settings". It also gives a Port Reference 49152 which I think is associated with Fast User switching whatever that means.
    +My Firewall Settings are:+
+Mode:Limit incoming connections to specific services and applications+
    Services:
+Apple Remote Desktop: Allow all connections+
    +Printer Sharing: Allow all connections+
+Remote Login (SSH): Allow all connections+
    Applications:
    +com.apple.AppleVNCServer: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.iChat: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.iTunes: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.mail: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.Safari: Allow all connections+
    +org.mozilla.firefox: Allow all connections+
    +Firewall Logging: No+
    +Stealth Mode: No+
The only other upgrade I carried out recently was to iGlasses for use in iChat but I cant confirm if the sync issue was affected by this.
Can anyone explain how to see and set the individual firewall port settings in OSX 10.6 as this seems to be on an application only basis?
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have done some further investigation. The Apple TV was obviously recognised by iTunes as it shows in >Devices. However it did not automatically start sync when recognised. When starting Sync from Button or by Menu it did not sync and I received the error report.
Despite being unable set Port settings in the Sharing>Firewall folder. I decided to delete and reselect only the Applications required.
This removed the AppleVNCserver set list in original question above.
    My Firewall settings are now.
+Mode: Limit incoming connections to specific services and applications+
    Services:
+Apple Remote Desktop: Allow all connections+
+File Sharing (AFP): Allow all connections+
    +Printer Sharing: Allow all connections+
+Remote Login (SSH): Allow all connections+
    Applications:
    +com.apple.iChat: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.iTunes: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.mail: Allow all connections+
    +com.apple.Safari: Allow all connections+
    +org.mozilla.firefox: Allow all connections+
    +Firewall Logging: No+
    +Stealth Mode: No+
This has resolved the syncing issue for the time being. But I will monitor it for the next couple of days to ensure it is a permanent fix.
    Thanks for your interest.

  • Outlook not syncing to my iPod

2 weeks ago my iPod (80GB) stopped syncing with my Outlook calendar. I remember this happening before and finding a way to fix it. Now I can't find that info again. I DO NOT want to transfer each calendar item, way too time consuming. Any other options?

I have the same problem. Started when I installed version 7.3 During sync it says it is syncing the calendar but the info never goes on the ipod.. It used to work with the older versions. I uninstalled 7.3 and installed the older version but it still will not work. In outlook there is suspose to be two files for syncing with the ipod. Only one file is being installed now. I just installed 7.4.1.2 and it still does not work. In another discussion group people were having the same problem and were told by itunes support that the updated software would fix the problem. Since then two new versions have come out, and appears the problem is still there.
    Has anyone solved it yet?

  • Outlook not syncing with iCal after Lion Upgrade

I updated to Lion, so I could more easily sync our family's calendars and contacts in Outlook to our iPhones/iPods via iCloud.  Now that I have done that, Outlook no longer syncs to iCal/Address Book and then there is the internal Microsoft issue.  How do I get the syncing working since iSync isn't part of Lion?

    Greetings,
You may have issues with Outlook and might want to remove and reinstall it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768).
    Before going down that road:
    Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
    Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
Backup your entire computer (its a good idea): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
    Quit all open applications
Follow all the steps in this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2452489
If syncing is still not working:
    Quit all open applications
    Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
If syncing is still not working:
    SafeBoot the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
While in SafeBoot remove the following to the trash:
Macintosh HD > Library > Caches (All the contents of the folder not the folder itself)
Home > Library > Application Support > Sync Services (The entire folder)NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion: Click anywhere on the desktop and then click on the "Go" menu at the top of the computer screen while holding down the "option" key on the keyboard.  You will see "Library" in the menu.
    Restart the computer and test.
    Hope that helps!

  • My daughter received a 4th gen. 32gb itouch for christmas.  it will not sync her music.  we've updated  itunes, and turned off voice message syncing. (that worked for a little while) now it's not syncing again.

    any help would be appreciated

What happens whenyou try to sync? Error messages?
Try resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

  • Not all appointments in outlook are syncing - Outlook 2003

I've seen a number of threads about outlook not syncing at all with the iphone. My issue is different in that I am able to sync but not all my calander appointments are making it onto the phone. I dont see any common factor in the appointments that arent making it. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas?
After 2 dayt Im close to getting the iPhone to where I need to be. This is the last of the major issues. I guess thats why its called the bleeding edge.

Same problem here. Outlook 2003 Calendar only syncs some events, but not all. But, contacts sync both ways without any problems.
Sure like to get the calendar to sync right.

Thanks!  But seriously why have Apple disabled the info sync on iTunes?  By 'Upgrading' to Mavericks I've inadvertantly disabled my Apple mobile devices from fulfilling their function.  Come on Apple work with us here!!
Apple told developers they were removing that service over two years ago. The developers that depended upon it should have done something about it.
Why did they remove it? My guess is because it was pretty crappy, was difficult to maintain, and wasn't a good solution for multiple devices that could get the info without tethering to a "base" Mac.

  • IPhone calendar does not sync new events and appointments from Outlook

iTunes 9.2.0.61/iPhone 4.0.1 - does not sync newly added events and appointments! Previously added stuff is all there, new stuff added in Outlook 2007 just doesn't show up. I've gone back to my old Palm T|X which syncs all this stuff with no problem, so it's not an Outlook bug.
It looks like Apple has put a team of junior programmers on the Calendar app - I've seen leap-year bugs (still there), events showing up on the wrong day (still there), and I'm still waiting for the "week at a glance" view. Calendar is SO important for business use that top level "gray beard" engineers need to be on this. (Question for Apple's calendar developers: what's Zeller's Congruence? It they haven't heard of it they have no business doing calendar programming.)

Spontaneously started syncing again - no idea why now, nor why it failed for so long. Related to the alarm bug? Who knows...
