Outlook .oft template attachment

I am using a mac with outlook for mac, my company uses outlook .oft templates for certain HR forms which when I try to open just creates a .oft attachment which cannot be opened. It should open as a template within an email to send. Can anyone help?

please try the following things:
Clear the Form cache (File/Options/Advanced/Custom Forms/Manage Forms/Clear Cache)
If you are the only user with the problem, create a new Mailprofile. If everybody has the problem it doubt that it helps. But you can try of course.
this is also happening in outlook 2013...
I recently had to have my pc reimaged... new standard image has office suite is 2013...
I am using my templates imported from outlook 2007...
clearing form cache and making a new profile did not work...
date and time on .oft file update when I try to save 'changes' to the template but it does not change size or content...
when opening the template and modifying the text the receiver does not get the updated information only the old template password for November that was on the template when imported...
I have multiple templates that will need to have text modified on them before I send them - I used my password template to send password reset information and the recipient e-mailed back how do you put letters and $ into a phone voicemail account [numbers
only].... This is when I found out the template was sent not the updated information... cc'd myself on the next use of the template to make sure I did not fat finger the 1st one... The updated password information did not send...
Password template majority of the body 'text' stays the same ... disclaimer, security notice etc... just the password gets updated and my signature gets auto added...
I did not use the form creator to make my templates - they were created in outlook 2007....
this really looks like a bug...
these are templates not forms - I also tried creating a new template .oft - saved it - opened it - edited it and saved [over wrote] the 'new' template - opened the update still had 'new' text not updated text...

From your description, the issue might be caused by
your virus scanner.
If you are using Antivirus software such as NOD32, try to turn it off to see if it works.
If it doesn’t work,
Then try to start Outlook in safe mode [hold ctrl key while startup] to see if this issue is caused by add-ins. If it works fine in this situation, try to disable add-ins.

Outlook Integration Templates Issue

Hi Guys,
I wonder if you could help me with a problem I am having regarding Outlook Integration (OI) templates.
We have recently upgraded a customer from 2005 to 8.81 and this has updated OI. However now whenever a user logs in to Business One they receive a pop up box asking them to create defaul templates.
They select a language and then try to create them. This then comes up asking if they wish to overwrite the existing templates. When selecting yes it gives an error saying they cannot do this. And then goes back to the create templates screen.
This can keep going around in circles until a user clicks cancel. However this pop up box loads up everytime they log into the system.
I have had a look around the forums but I can only find help on creating templates, not on removing this pop up box.

This had been the same issue several times, every time the client logs onto SBO this message pops up a need to define the correct path wherein the templates are located in the server and the base client path where the templates need to be created.A few times successfull, browsing to the correct path on the server and creating a base path C:\......\Templates in the client and the templates were re-created or copying the entire snapshot templates from the Server and place it on the client
system. It can be a reason the User cannot access the server templates folder of write to the path C:\...
or,
2. Using Admin login on the client machine Uninstall the MS Outlook integration server from the control panel from the client and install MS Outlook Intergration standalone setup available in you server.

Its not possible to change outlook standard template

this seems to be a really easy question..
how do i change the standard-Outlook template ?
I have tried to update the Tab spacing default from 0.5 to 0.25 but when I close it, it looses the setting!!!
What I have tried already:
1. I have opened a new email - changed the setting and saved. Did not work!
2. I have opened NormalEmail.dotm - changed the setting and saved. Did not work!
3. I have opened Normal.dotm - changed the setting and saved. Setting works in Word, but not in Outlook!!!
This is rediculous!!!

I've got the same result as you test.
If you only want to change the Tab spacing default from 0.5 to 0.25, kindly code a vba when you create a new message - automatically change tab stop spacing to 0.25. In Word, we can easily complete it by the code:

JES5: outlook shows 'fake' attachment icon for mails originating from uwc/e

Strange thing:
We are using JES5 with both UWC and outlook connector.
Mails sent from UWC in Internet explorer (dutch version) display a 'file attachment' icon in outlook 2003 (in the header pane). In the message pane, there's no file attachment.
Mails sent from UWC in Mozilla (dutch version) display fine in outlook 2003 (that is: no sign of a file attachment icon).
Upon further inspection, I noticed that Internet explorer generates this type of mime header (notice the multipart/mixed)

This (cosmetic) problem is unrelated to choosing 'pure text' or 'html text' in the UWC message creation window.
I don't know where to look for solving this bug:
- is it outlook that is unable to correctly parse the 'multipart/mixed' type of mail ?
- or should internet explorer generate multipart/alternative style mails ?
any ideas ?

PC Outlook to MAIL attachment corruptions

This is a two part question:
(1) When I get an email forwarded from Outlook (professional version) with embedded pictures, the pictures show up as question marks in blue boxes.
WHY? How do I 'fix' MAIL so that I can see the embedded photos/graphics?
(2) Conversely when I send an email from MAIL with a MS Office X Word attachment, the recipient gets TWO attachments: one is "some sort of unicode" (my friend's description of what she got) and the other is the Word doc I attached.
Again WHY .. and HOW do we make this not happen.

You're welcome.
You must be using Outlook on the Windows PC through an Exchange Server.
The Mail.app includes the following settings for replying to and forwarding received messages.
* Use the same message format as the original message.
* Quote the text of the original message.
* Increase quote level.
I would check for these same settings in Outlook.
You want to forward any received messages in the same format as the original message which in this situation is HTML.
Try keeping quote the text of the original message on but don't increase the quote level.
If no change, try not quoting the text of the original message.
Regarding the "winmail.dat file in place of what I sent", this is an Outlook/Exchange Server bug or limitation which I find difficult to believe that Microsoft hasn't fixed/addressed yet.

Outlook Syncing while attached

My iPod Touch automatically syncs just fine when I attach it to my Windoze XP PC. However, unlike my iPaq, if I add an appointment to Outlook, it doesn't automatically update to my attached iPod.
I have to consciously hit the "sync" button in iTunes before I leave for the day if I want things synced.
Is this just the way it works for now, (it only automatically syncs when attached) or is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere?

I've disabled cache mode in the user account settings. Are there any other options to disable syncing?
In online mode, Outlook will not sync the mailbox. You will need to set an office GPO setting or part of the office build to prevent users from changing that (changing to cache mode that is) on their own Outlook install.

Sending mails from sap to outlook with pdf attachment

Hi All
I am using the function module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send
mail with the pdf attachment to a SMTP mail id(outlook). I have done all the configuration settings in SCOT transaction. But still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Following are the details of the steps i have followed.
step1.
Get the OTF data output from the SMARTFORMS function module.
step2,
convert the OTF output data to PDF format.
step3.
populate all the required table to pass data to the function
module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' -

and call the function module.
After doing the above steps still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Please Help.

BACKGROUND : I work for a Large Corporate Company who so far has standardized on Windows XP, Window 7, Office 2003 and 2007. We run an Exchange server which allows PDF attachment. Acrobat reader 9.0 is installed on all machine.

Mail with Outlook with an attachment

I create a pdf on the SAP system and I want to send this pdf by Outlook because the user have to enter a lot data manually direct in the mail. We have now the following problem: to send the mail with the attachment I have to save the pdf-file local on the PC but some users doesn't have the authorization to download data from SAP. With the method "CLIPBOARD_EXPORT" in the class "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES" I could export the data to the clipboard but I have no idea how I can get this data to my mail.

Outlook integration templates

I have installed outlook integration as part of 8.8. Its working fine on all but two PC's. When I launch SAP Business One on these 2 pc, its asking me to create default templates each time.
Any suggestion on what I need to do on this

Outlook integration template error

Hi,
Try to activate the outlook integration package. However once I register the module it creates new templates or register templates. However the installer is unable to create the template for management business partners.
Please advice how to solve this issue (every time if I start SAP B1) it comes with the template installation manager.

Outlook apple-msg-attachment

Hi,
Has any one user Microsoft Outlook?
Everytime I send out an e-mail from Microsoft Outlook, it always has an attachment with extension .apple-msg-attachment.
This does not happens when e-mail send from Mail App.
Is there any particular setting to avoid this automatic attachment?
