Outlook.pdf

Is there anybody that still has the outlook.pdf file that explains how to send emails from forms through outlook?

It isn't a feature of Adobe Reader.
You need to find out what application was supplying that tab and ask in that forum.

  • How to set default folder view in Outlook PDF Portfolio?

I'm using Acrobat 9.0 within MS Outlook 2007 to create a portfolio of a folder with subfolders. I would like the initial portfolio view to mimic a typical Outlook view with folder list and reading preview pane. I can create said view in the PDF file by splitting the window vertically and clicking my way to the desired folder level. But I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to save those choices as a default under Portfolio Properties or elsewhere.  Can anyone offer advice?  Thanks.

Can no one help me?  No one at all?

Running on Surface pro 3, Win 8.1, Office 2013

    Hi,
I'm using Office 2013 along with Windows 8.1, I can confirm there is no build-in PDF previewer in Outlook 2013. It seems we have to use some plug-ins to preview PDF in Outlook.

  • Printing attachments from Outlook PDF package

I'm working on a project for work trying to print the contents of several imported pst Outlook archives. I've created a pdf package from the e-mails using the built-in Adobe toolbar in Outlook. I need to be able to print out the e-mails with attachments (and there may be several attachments per e-mail) in order, but can't figure out how to print the attachments at the same time. I can click on the attachments manually, but doing that with thousands of e-mails is out of the question. Is there a way to print out the e-mails in order with attachments using the pdf package file created from Outlook?
P.S. I've used "Print Tools for Outlook" but have had problems with it not printing e-mails and not printing all the attachments. If anyone can point me to a program that can work, I'd be glad to try it.
    Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
If your Curve is like most BB's, then PDF's are not natively viewble on it. When PDF's come in as an email attachment, they are viewable via the email attachment service. But all other means require a bit of additional software on the device. The To-Go apps that come free with most BB's do not handle PDF's...the $$$ premium edition does handle them. Plus there are other PDF add-ons (BeamReader?) that are cheaper (so I hear) that also handle PDFs.
Basically, since it's a Calendar attachment, the email attachment service is not invoked -- hence it is unviewable without something added.
    Hope that heps!

  • How do I stop Firefox from opening a blank page before my selected PDF viewer opens a pdf email attachment?

When I receive an Outlook PDF attachment and open it, Firefox starts and a blank page opens. After Firefox has opened and the blank page opens, the PDF viewer I am using opens the PDF. I have the options settings set to use Filecenter.exe as the PDF viewer. I have changed this to use adobe and the blank page still opens. I have set Firefox to be the default viewer but Firefox will not open PDFs created by certain CAD programs. I would like for this blank page to stop opening in Firefox. Does anyone have a solution to correct this problem?

hello grichardson, does it work when you go into the ''acrobat reader > edit > preferences > general ''& click on the default application option at the bottom? in there reselect adobe's application and confirm this selection...

  • Interruption of pdf link display

My Outlook works fine. My Chrome works fine, and is my default browser.  My Acrobat X works fine.  Outlook pdf attachments open immediately in Acrobat.  Emailed HTML links open immediately in Chrome.
HOWEVER, whenever I receive a pdf link in an email, a new Chrome pane opens, and this error message appears at the bottom of the screen:
This type of file can harm your computer.  Do you want to keep XYZ.PDF anyway?  With Keep and Discard buttons
I click Keep, and it displays.  How do I get rid of this annoying error message?  I receive scores of pdf links every day.

  • Cant send file with outlook in preview

    Hello,
I'm a new Mac user and must say very happy with my change.
However I have one problem I can't seem to solve.
My work forces me to use Microsoft Outlook on my Mac.
But I can't seem to figure out how to send files from the preview program.
When selecting "send e-mail" in preview. It always opens the Mail program, even though I set Outlook as the standard mailing program.
Anyone has an idea on how to fix this?
    Thank You!

    Hi Sig,
I also used your advice to add outlook to convert to pdf...Thanks
I now sit with the problem that when I click on the Outlook tab, it opens up the window in the background of my desktop, and I have to "minimise panels" in order to get to it? Any advice, on how to just get the window to pop up when clicking on Outlook PDF?
    Hpe this makes sense?
    Cheers

  • Acrobat XI Pro is really sluggish

Just wondering if anyone might know why after upgrading to CS6, Acrobat XI Pro runs really slow when viewing documents - can take up to 10 seconds to load a document under 1mb. Also the Outlook PDF Previewer has the same issue, takes a long time to load the PDF, sometimes up to 30 seconds. Driving me nuts much, very much. Just uninstalled it and put 9.3 back on my system but because 9.3 was for Vista, I'm running Windows 7 and the Outlook Previewer won't work at all now, grrr.
    Cheers!

I'm experiencing the same thing after upgrading from Acrobat Pro 9 to Acrobat Pro XI.
I have a 2.8 Ghz MacBook Pro 15 Retina w/ 16Gb RAM and Acrobat Pro XI is unbearably slow.
It takes several seconds litterally from selecting a search result until Acrobat updates the document.
Searching with indexes is quite fast though -- it's the hyperlink navigation that really makes working with PDF a productivity killer.
I noticed that Acrobat Pro XI is a 32-bit app on Mac OSX (10.8.3). Since hyperlink navigation involves a significant interaction with the OS itself,
I suspect that there must be some really ancient library still in there that causes a performance bottleneck -- at least for Mac OSX.

  • Rough end of the pineapple

Anyone come accross this cos I ain't?
User had Adobe Acrobat 8 standard and Adobe Reader 6
installed 2 weeks ago on an XP machine with Outlook 2003. Been
working fine. But in the last couple of days when she tries to open
pdf's attached to the email the System 32 directory in Windows
opens opens. Anybody know where I can change the file associations
(if it is file associations) so that the attached pdf's open as
    they should?

Annoying? Not at all. You're quite right it's just between
Adobe and Outlook outside Outlook pdf's open as normal. Problem is
user getting flappy I'm trying to avoid a bayoneting on this one.
Think I'll just go for a reinstall.

  • Maximum Multiple Monitors with ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 - 170W (4338-30U)

Bit of a multi display novice, with a question:
What is the maximum number of external displays that can be utilized with the ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 - 170W. As I understand it, you can baseline connect three external displays without adapters, so with the laptop that is three monitors (1+3).
Then say you start getting creative and start using adapters, can you go up to five or six external displays? Are there performance issues? Does the computer have trouble recognizing displays, etc.? Would it benefit from a screen management program like UltraMon?
This is for simple excel jockeying, and business productivity, (for instance I would want to have a display for each instance of Excel 1, Excel 2, Excel 3, Word,  Outlook, PDF),  and would use the NVidia Optimus Card for the displays.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Depending on which ThinkPad you got, you can get 3 screens up and working (the W530 i tested could drive 4 external + 1 internal without using things like DP splitter or USB display adapter).

  • I have OSX Maverick on an iMac using Outlook e-mail.  PDF attachments are included in the e-mail  as the whole document rather than just the PDF icon.  How can i have just the PDF icon as an attachment?

In Outlook my PDF attachments appear as whole documents and not just the PDF icon.  How can I have attachments included as PDF icons and not the documents?

For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader.  To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

  • Save As Dialog Not Showing when opening pdf from Outlook 2010

    Hi
I have recently had to change the default documents folder on a windows 7 machine (Right Click Documents, properties,  include folder, set save location). Since this change, when opening an attached pdf document in outlook 2010 and viewing with adobe reader, if i click Save as from the file menu, no os dialog appears and therefore user cannot choose a place to save the document.
As a work around the user can right click the attachment save the docment to a location, once opened, ther save as dialog is usable.
I have uninstalled and re-installed reader to the laterst version, but with no luck.
    Any ideas?
    Jason Congerton

This looks like a new behavior of Outlook 2010 and isn't specific to PDFs. You will need to "save as" the document. There is a thread at Microsoft forums about this with some possible workarounds:

  • Print to PDF is very slow showing "save as" dialog when printing from Outlook 2013

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with one of my users.  The problem is intermittent.  At first when I was looking at the issue, here is what I saw:
In Outlook 2013, I opened an e-mail.  I then selected Print, selected the Adobe PDF printer, and hit the print button.  There was over a 1 minute delay before the "save as" dialog appeared to ask me where to save the document and what to name it.  I did this for several different e-mails with and without attachments and the problem was consistent.  I saved the e-mail to a local e-mail file and the problem was the same.  This process was over 30 or 40 minutes.  I was pulled away for another issue and now the "save as" dialog pops up within seconds.  The user is complaining that this happens regularly.  I tried a repair, cleared temp files, and was going to try printing from other apps, but then it started temporarily behaving itself, so I can't tell you if the same delay existed in other apps.  I didn't see anything obvious in the event viewer logs.
Has anyone else seen this?  Anyone have an idea on how to troubleshoot this?
    Thanks,
    Jeffery Smith

Thank for your help Bill, but changing settings in the distiller did not seem to work. As my application prints directly to the default application without using anything specific to Acrobat, I was hoping there was a simple way forward. A colleague suggested copying registry entries from the account I logged on as to the S-1-5-18 entry, then rebooting. This had no effect as the prompt still comes up.
Aandi, I don't have the Acrobat SDK or any experience of it.
Also I'm not sure where any code/script would sit since the application is stable and so I would rather not change it.
If it amounts to a few lines of javascript sitting outside the application then that would be of interest.

  • Can not open pdf file in Outlook 2010 - error opening document

when I click on the PDF file in the email (Outlook 2010), Adobe opens but it pops a window "There was an error opening this document. Access denied". If I save the document as a file, aka to the desktop, I can open it then.
Also also I click on the ok button in adobe, it posted a Runtime error! application has requested the RunTime to terminate it in an unusal way.
has anyone seen this issue. Desktop is using Windows XP, 4 gig ram, Adobe X verision 10.0.1

Did you try this?  It worked for me.

    Open up Adobe Reader X
On the Toolbar Menu go to Edit > Preferences
Go to the general tab under Categories.
Untick “Enable Protected Mode at Startup”
If asked if sure, click Yes and then Ok.
Now close Adobe Reader X and try opening the PDF again.

  • Can not open some PDFs in Outlook

I can not open PDFs in 2010 Outlook from just one particular email. Other PDFs from other emails open fine.
have uninstalled and re-installed latest Adobe Reader.
    How do I fix?

    Hi,
Do you mean you can't open PDFs send from a particular email address or just the PDFs in one particular email?
Can you view the PDF from web access?
In addition, please try Anil's suggestion, download the pdf to local and try to open it locally.
Please let me know the result.
