Outlook synch usb

Hi,
I know this has been spoken about before but still suffering without an answer.
When will we have synch ability for BlackBerry 10 for outlook?
I actually cannot function with a calendar that is out of date. I cannot use outlook com as when I set up a meeting on my phone that I want to synch it goes to client from outlook com instead of work address. Sonia now have to set up meeting through outlook for synch and then again through local calendar for client (so email goes from work address.). Maintaining this is a real issue when meetings change.
I love this device but it is proving to be cumbersome. I also by law am not allowed to cloud contacts, tasks and calendars.
Please please help as this is a real issue.
When will link support synch from outlook??? Just give us a date so I can go back to my Samsung until it is resolved or DONT give us a date and I will just return the z10 and go to Samsung s4.
If the developers are not fully focused on this issue then they really have priority issues.

The Outlook to usb sync is announced and I have not heard a date yet, but soon i hope, but maybe BB advisor can respond with a date. If not mistaken no android device including Samsung S3 & 4 without 3rd party app like De Ja office & Companion link has the capabiites of USB sync. You can use a 3rd party app in the meantime as all other android users around the world are using to sync with outlook without cloud or outlook.com.

A temporary solution is also forward your calendars and contacts from your desktop outlook to your z10 device as an email or put on sd card . This will update your contact and your calendars.  I phone 5 has outlook sync with USB with Itunes app, but on a limited bases.  The rest all use cloud services.

  • Contacts Don't Transfer All Information When Using Outlook Synching - Zen Mi

Earlier I posted regarding the following problems with Outlook Synching:
. It doesn't transfer any recurring appointments from Outlook.
    2. It doesn't transfer your Outlook calendar unless you also choose to transfer your Outlook Contacts.
I now have another issue I just witnessed today....
    3. I've now entered roughly 50 contacts into Outlook, and have synched them with my Micro. I find that roughly 5 - 0% of my contacts do not synch over the email address. All other information appears to be transferred to my Micro, except for the email addresses in about 5 - 0% of contacts. I thought perhaps I maxed out the memory in my Micro, but that wasn't the problem. I then thought that perhaps these contacts have too much info, and Micro transfers over only a set data limit per contact... so I removed alot of info from one of them as a test, but it still won't transfer over the email address.
Has anyone else seen that? Creative, any comments on this issue, or status on the first two?
    Thanks -
    Josh

Thanks for the follow-up, Jeremy. In answer to your question, the contacts that don't transfer the email addresses were not previously on the device. I did not update the contact afterwards and add the email, it was already there when I initially created the contact.
As a test, I tried creating a "Test Contact" that appeared similar to the contacts that exhibits this problem, but it transferred the email address just fine. It's just approximately 5 - 0% of my contacts that show this problem.
The contacts I've seen off-hand tend to have most fields filled in including: Full Name, Job Title, Company, Business #, Mobile #, Business Address, E-mail, Display As.
On a side note, when I deleted this test contact from MS Outlook, synched the device, and made sure I selected the checkbox stating "Delete contacts that have been deleted in Outlook".... it never removed the "Test Contact". Is this another bug?
    Thanks for the help -
    Josh

  • Found a solution to Outlook Synching

After trying to get Outlook Synching to work, I finally gave up. This is obviously not a high priority for Apple to fix. I'm using a program called 'PodPlus', formerly known as 'iPodAgent'. It's $15, but it has more features like movie times, horoscopes, and file synching. I don't work for them, and this is not spam. I am just fed up with Apple's lack of support for their own products.

Prior to having my iPhone I only had one type of Calendar in Outlook
I know have 'Calendar 5' on my Outlook, but that doesn't show up on my iPhone.
iPhone does give me several other numbered Calendars – but no ‘Calendar 5’
I need to figure a way to get all this synched correctly

  • Pda devices and outlook synch JES2004q2

    hi,
can anybody explain a little what is the story for people wanting to synch their pdas to their outlook desktop.
to my knowledge the synch tool and outlook conenctor don't mix well and sun encourages pda users to use their pda vendors outlook synch software to synch their pda and let the outlook connector do it's part of connectign to outlook.
can anybody tell me where to find a list of supported pda devices (and don't tell me sun locally because noone i've spoken to so far seems to know :) )
    thanks

The synch tool for Windows and Mac, as well as the Outlook connector are "broken" for Calendar Server 6.
They worked well with 5.1, but not with the upgrade.
What gives? Does anyone at Sun marketing care about this "oversite"? Is anyone working on a solution?
A few more of these lapses will result in a phone call to the Oracle rep.

  • 8330 and Outlook Synching Problem

I am synching with outlook 2003 but some calendar items are missing. I have tried to install version 4.5 of desktop manager but i get an error about corrupted file so the instal wont work. Can anyone suggest a solution or tell me if they are having the same problems. RIM told me to contact my service provider, which I did but this is not their problem to solve.  Or should I down grade software to 4.2.2????? Many thanks for any suggestions............

Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8330 comes with a USB cable and desktop software that will sync your calendar, contacts, memos, and tasks.
It is compatible with Outlook 2007. The data services package is not needed on the 8330 for these functions.
Verizon uses the VZ navigator program for turn by turn directions. It costs an additional $10-15. I tried is and it was
adequate. Note, unless you use the Vz navigator, the GPS is locked on the phone.
Verizon is my carrier as well.
Please let me know if you need further assistance!
If not please take a minute and resolve the thread using the options over the Kudo's star.

  • Syncing Outlook w/ USB cable very slo-o-ow

This is the second time I'm syncing the Q10 with  MS-Outlook directly conected to the computer using a USB cable.
The first time (3 days ago ) when I synced it was quite slow. But I assumed it was because it was the first time I  had synced it (one way only, computer to device).
It's now been over a half hour and the Q10 sync has not finished syncing and simply repeats a slow moving progress bar with the text "Getting status information from BlackBerry Calendar" over and over. As soon as the progress bar reaches the far right (100%?) it re-starts again from 0.
I previously owned an 'antique' BlackBerry Pearl that synced the same Outlook account in less than 10-15 minutes.
Is this normal behaviour? If so, are there third-party apps that work (a lot) faster?

i have the same issue synching with my computer on windows 8.
From what I've read (+ the general silence to this thread) I assume it's something that we'll have to live with until BB comes up with a Link update to improve things. One hour to do what a 7-year old BB device could do in 5-10 minutes is definately not something anyone would consider normal behaviour. And I'm certainly not going to upload my personal data to any cloud based sync/storage if that's what's recommended by BB. Guess we'll just have to be patient ...

  • Setup new iphone 5 outlook synch

tring to setup a new iphone 5 and synch outlook from a pc over air - email works fine but cant synch calendar and contacts?

    Hello NMHitch,
Congratulations on your new iPhone 5!  Having your contacts and calendar on your new phone is certainly important.  I found an article about troubleshooting syncing over Wi-Fi with iTunes that may help:
iTunes 10.5 and later: Troubleshooting iTunes Wi-Fi Syncing
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4062
If you are still having trouble after using the steps in that article, you may want to try the article listed below.  It refers to syncing using the USB, but should work for Wi-Fi syncing through iTunes as well:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting contact and calendar syncing via USB on Windows

    I hope this helps!

  • E61 bluetooth Outlook synch problem

I have a new E61 phone and the latest version of PC suite. I can successfuly synchronise the E61 with Outlook on my PC using a USB cable connection. However, when I try to do this with bluetooth, I successfully connect and start synching but then the synch operation is very, very slow and dies (times out) after about 60 per cent. I'm trying to bluetooth synch to a new sony vaio PCG-4H1M laptop with built-in bluetooth. All advice gratefully received. Thanks MP

I had already tried the suggestions from that link (resetting sync history, then syncing again--no help; then later replacing Contacts on iPhone with Contacts in Outlook--again, no help). Not all Contacts fail to transfer the data, but I can't find any differences between those that do, and those that don't. The Outlook Contacts are all complete. Some of the iPhone Contacts will show phone number, Notes, etc., but no home or work addresses

  • How do I remove one of the calendars from iCloud but keep it on the iPhone to sync with Outlook by USB and keep the other calendars synced on iCloud ?

iPhone 5, Macs and iPads at home, Windoze7 system at work.
Using iCloud to sync calendars, contacts, etc on all the home devices.  Used USB cable to sync at work with the Windows system, with the Outlook 2010 corporate account (corporate server).  I need only the Outlook calendar to be synced, syncing the contacts created too many problems with duplication, etc.  No need for that.  Worked fine until the latest upgrate to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1.  Used to have a calendar that was not on iCloud and was simply and exclusively syncing between the iPhone and the Windows computer at work. The other 3 calendars synced fine with the macs and iOS devices via iCloud but not with the machine at work - keeping private records private.
Upon the iOS upgrade, all calendars are now on iCloud.  I am no longer able to remove one - for security too - from the iCloud and sync it with the Windows computer exclusively.  I managed to sync it once on the PC with iTunes by switching iCloud off on the iPhone before connection by USB cable.  Trying it again, it tells me that it will erase all items on the Outlook account (the "more than 25% of your records are going to change" alert) and won't add or modify any.  I stopped the sync in time...
Tried on the iCloud site for a solution to remove the calendar, nothing.
There is no iCloud setup on this corporate computer - no access permitted. The USB cable connection is the only solution and up to the upgrade of the iOS this went seamlessly.
    Any solution out there?
    Thanks
    Vladski

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

  • Does Mac Outlook synch with iCloud?

After spending a couple of hours at Genuis bar and another 90 minutes on the phone with tech support, I wanted to let the community know that Mac Outlook does not synch with iCloud.  The calendar and contact updates go into a "on the Mac" part of iCal and Address Book respectively.  The updates in these sections do not get synched up to iCloud and therefore to your mobile devices.
As I had searched for an answer to this question on the web previously and did not find any entry so I wanted to ensure that others looking for answer can get it (without tying up Apple's tech support resources).  The extra time that I spent was trying to remove and resynch these databases before finding someone who knew the answer.
For calendar activities, you can reclass them into an iCloud category manually.  For contact update, you have to also put them into the Address Book.
I hope this helps.  Hopefully, Apple provides the access and Microsoft implements the code required to synch these services.

Thank you so much for unequivocally clearing this up! I have spent the last few days trying to work this out as I found it insane that I can easily sync Outlook (2007 I think it is) on my PC with the iCloud but couldn't get it to work on my husbands Outlook for Mac 2011.
I hope people find your post first rather than wading through a million other posts in utter frustration like I did! Whilst it's still frustrating at least I have some peace that I'm not missing something.
    Thanks again!

  • Synch USB student files with my MacBook Pro student files

I regularly use my USB at college to do class lab exercises then come home to my MacBook Pro (2011) and want to synch just those modified files with my student files on my MacBook hard drive.  Then at home I use my MacBook hard drive to work on homework with the college's LMS (Learning Management System), and I save those files (in the same-name folders) on my hard drive.
Is there a way to easily (a) synch changes made and/or (b) folders & files modified in the various class folders that I regularly use on both my MacBook Pro hard drive and my designated USB drive for classes?

Back to my mac will also work but i am not farmilar with it.

  • HT1386 no outlook synch

After the latest iTunes update (a few days ago) my Iphone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 doesn't synchronise with Outlook.
    What to do?

I encountered the same problem after it worked for a while, Windows 7, Office 2010, Nokia Suite and a Nokia E7 and a N900. While my Android tablet synched fine. It appears that with all the Windows, Office and Nokia Suite updates it runs out of sync. Result is that in Nokia Suite the calendar option is grayed out and won't sync. After many uninstalls and installs with and without the cleaner, Nokia Suite still did not work. UNTIL I ran a repair on my Office 2010 installation. After a reboot the Nokia Suite recognizes that Outlook is installed and it is synching fine. Good luck!

  • Hot Synch with Outlook Synchs mail only

I have an M500 and the hotsynch works and gives all OK messages on all the items of outlook but the data is not on the handheld for anything but the mail. My system is windows XP Pro and Outlook 2003. I have downloaded the newest Palm One desktop 4.1.4 software. My PC is on a local network in my office.
    Post relates to: Palm m500

When you installed the Palm Desktop software did you setup the software to sync with Outlook? If you are unsure right click on your hotsync icon next to your clock and select custom. In there do you see Address Book(Outlook) or Contacts(Outlook)? If not the next thing you would need to do is download Palm Desktop 4.1.4E. This version will work with your device. Here is the link, http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/32991_en.html. When you are installing it be sure to pick Outlook. If you miss it, it is ok. Once it is done installing go to Start-->Programs/All Programs-->Palm or PalmOne-->PIM conduit sync-->Sync with Outlook. Once this is done you should be all set.
