Outlook To Do Bar (iOS 6)

In case any one had issues with their calendar and upcoming appointments disappearing from the To-Do bar in Outlook 2010 after the iCloud add-in was installed with iOS 6, below is a quick solution for fixing the issue.
If you would like to view all of your appointments in the iCloud Calendar in your To-Do bar perform the following steps:
(NOTE:  this is for Outlook 2010 on a PC)
1. Go to 'Control Panel'
2. Go to 'Users'
3. Go to 'Mail (32-bit)
4. On the window that appears, select 'Data Files'
5. Select the name 'iCloud'
6. With 'iCloud' selected, press the 'Set as Default' button.
7. Accept the window that appears.
With the iCloud data file set as the default data file for Outlook, all of the iCloud Calendar appointments, tasks, etc. will appear in the To-Do bar in Outlook.

Thanks jcc37.  This is a solid tip!
One extra thing I had to do in order to continue to receive mail in Outlook (I assume it is because I am not using an iCloud email address):
1. Close Outlook
2. Launch the Mail Setup app (Control Panel-->Mail):
3. click E-mail accounts
4. select your email account from the list.  When you changed your default data file to iCloud, it probably also changed your email account to deliver new email to the iCloud data file.
5. click Change Folder
6. select the appropriate folder\inbox (i.e. Personal Folders\Inbox)
7. click OK
8. click Close
9. click Close again to exit Mail Setup
10. Re-Launch Outlook
Your new mail should be delivered properly now.

  • Outlook tasks completed in iOS Reminders app regenerate 'orphaned' reminders endlessly in Outlook.

Our small business runs up-to-date (iOS 8) Apple devices that sync via MS Exchange with our email, contacts, reminders, etc.
I create a task in Outlook and include a reminder. The task and reminder sync to Reminders on my iPhone and iPad. When I mark a task complete on mobile, the reminder disappears there as it should... but it regenerates the reminder in Outlook! The Outlook task is complete, but the reminder pops up at the top of the list in the Outlook reminders pop-up window. Marking it complete there is an option, but it just regenerates a new reminder. The only way to remove this 'orphan' reminder is to dismiss the reminder or delete the task.
The iOS 8 Reminders app would be very useful but for this bug. It's even better that it puts my work tasks and home tasks (we use a Mac at home so no problem there) in one place. But as it is, the app is not a time saver, but a time-waster and a source of frustration.
    Please advise!

  • Allow Army military soldiers to access and sync Enterprise Outlook content with their iOS device

There's millions of soldiers that's unable to check their enterprise email because it requires us to insert a CAC (Common Access Card) card reader. A CAC card is pretty much our military ID with a chip with all our information and access certificates.
    http://www.disa.mil/Services/Enterprise-Services/Mobility/Devices-and-Wireless-S ervices
When is Apple going to let soldiers finallybe able to access their outlook email without the use of a CAC card reader. There's many issues in the military about soldiers not being able to get the appropriate information because they cannot access their email at a moments notice. I provided a link above that may be related to iOS being approved by the Department of Defence for enterprise access. Please let us soldiers be able to do this.

  • How can i get my icloud calendar appointments to appear in the outlook to-do bar?

I find the upcoming appointments in Outlook's To-Do Bar really useful but since synching with icloud they are no longer there. I know this is an ongoing issue and wondered if there was any up-to-date information on how to resolve it?

There has been no change, MS have yet to alter Outlook to more fully take advantage of iCloud.

Setting to push specific folders does not have Drafts as an option.

    Hello Woodsen,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
The FAQ for iCloud Drive has the following information on your question:
How do I access all my files in iCloud Drive?
You can access your files in iCloud Drive any of these ways:
Using any supported web browser, you can go to iCloud Drive or iWork for iCloud beta at iCloud.com. In iWork for iCloud beta, you can find your Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files.
On your Mac with OS X Yosemite, you can go to iCloud Drive in Finder.
On your PC with Windows 7 or later and iCloud for Windows, you can go to iCloud Drive in File Explorer.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8, you can access your files from Apple apps like Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, or any apps that support iCloud Drive.

  • TS3276 Emails from outlook apear blocked, bar shows halfway with 2/9 not sending, how do I clear this?

My outlook email apear to be stuck, with 2/9 sent.
    Error messages

That's something you'll need to ask about on the Office for Mac forums. Many people don't use Outlook here... in fact, most of the regulars have a rather poor opinion of Outlook. So that limits who will be able to help with this problem on these forums.
It looks like the problems might be caused by improperly-formed e-mail addresses, but may also involve a misconfiguration or server issue. I don't know enough about Outlook to be able to say more than that, though.

  • Sync Outlook 2007 calendar with iOS calendar via  iCloud

I've succesfuly configured iCloud and I see the icon and option to sync online my Outlook calendar... but to sync, the only available choice is to MOVE the appointments from Outlook calendar to iCloud calendar... is there any way to COPY them instead? Moving means that these dissapear from Outlook, therefore the timeslot shows available now, to anyone who tries to book a new appointment though Outlook...
    Many thanks!

OK...here's the update. I tried a few more tricks, too numerous to go into and NOTHING worked. I finally downlaoded and installed Companionlink Express and.....presto! I can sync again. 49.95 for the Companionlink software. You would think the BB folks could write (or purchase) a decent piece of software. I purchased the 8330 primarily to help me keep up with my calendar. When that didn't work, I had a $200 dollar cell phone. RIM almost got this one back! By the way, the website is www.companionlink.com.

  • Can't Sync With Outlook 2013 Since Upgrading to iOS 7.0.2

Has anyone else run into this issue and solved it?
    I have an iPhone 4.
NOTHING will sync between my iPhone and Outlook 2013.
With iOS 6, as soon as I plugged in my iPhone, Outlook would launch alongside iTunes because it was configured to sync with Outlook.  Now, when I plug in my iPhone, iTunes launches okay, and then it starts to sync, no errors, but never is Outlook started by default (as it used to in the past).
Even if I manually start Outlook, nothing is still sync'd.
I had no issues sync'ing before with iOs 6 and Outlook 2013.  This is only since I just upgraded.
    I'm running Office 2013 on Windows 8 x64.
    Thanks!

I would recommend using the SEARCH function of the forums and locating the many others posts that have already discussed this issue.

  • Can't see the Outlook title bar on my outlook email in firefox but I can in IE. Help!

When I open an email in Outlook, the top bar that has reply, delete, archive, etc., can't be seen, yet if I open in IE it is available. Is there a problem with Outlook in Firefox. I hate using IE, but I really need to see my options when I am in email. thanks

Safe mode or disabling add ons didn't work. I reset to Firefox default theme and that worked. Just a pain having to redo my tool bars again. I hope this resolves the issue. Thanks for your assistance.

  • Outlook integration MS outlook tool bar

    Hi
Does any one know how to manually add the outlook integration toolbar into MS outlook.
We have a client who only uses terminal services and the are happy to email out of the terminal service but they only want users to check emails and sync contacts on the local PC.
The problem is there is no SAP on the local PC therefore the outlook integration tool bar in outlook will not appear.
    How can this be added?
    Thanks

    Hello,
Did you try the: 'Outlook Integration Standalone' version on the PC.
This does not need a direct connection with SAP BO.
I have not tried or used it myself so please read the documentation.
    Kind regards
    Henk Tjassing

  • Itunes crashed in middle of outlook sync my calendar is left named _modcal is there a way to get my calendar renamed?

iTunes coredumped in the middle of syncing my Outlook calendar and left my Calendar named "_ModCal74cb._ModCal3cfb.Calendar" (yes this has happened twice). Does anyone know a way to get back to the correct, original calendar name without losing all my calendar data????

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up

  • Read apps not appearing on IOS

I have noticed that read apps for Outlook are not loading on IPad/IOS lately. Not just my app but the entire bar does not seem to load. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this / is this still supported? Maybe I need a different version of IOS or
    the OWA for Outlook app?

    Hi joecar,
    >> I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this / is this still supported.
    >> Also, my question is about OWA for iOS which I believe is different than Outlook for iOS.
I assume you mean the Outlook Web App on IOS platform. I’ve tested your App in Safari on iPad and I could reproduce your issue (the mail app did not appear). I will try to involve other engineers to check this issue. But it may take some time, thanks
    for your understanding.
